Eddie was so helpful with our move-in process and is always so sweet when we see him around the community. We go to the dog park frequently and hear our neighbors bragging about the changes that Eddie has made and how his presence makes up for the turnover of management we’ve had. During the short time we’ve lived here we couldn’t agree more. Love what he did with the pet spa recently!

I will preface this review by saying our move in experience was LESS than ideal however i believe the person who made the mistake no longer works there. We had no idea we signed on a handicap unit and were shocked on move in day, however Brian did everything in his power to make it right and afterward we had very minimal issues.This complex is very new and nicely maintained. The gym and pool facilities are beautiful and the view is great. The maintenance man is wonderful and kind and always fixed our minor issues in 1 or 2 days. The complex is quiet and mainly home to families and young professionals, other than barking dogs we never had any noise issues. The units themselves are very nice and large with good storage, I still miss my dishwasher and amazing water pressure.Brian and Clara really make this place what it is and care a lot about the residents. We definitely wouldve renewed our lease but we bought a house instead- thanks for a great year Avalon!

Filomena and I would like to praise the maintenance team at Avalon Red Rocks for the great work they have done in fixing any of the maintenance requests we have made. Vince and the team have always been estremely responsive, friendly, polite, efficient, helpful, and professional when their assistance was needed, regardless of how minor or major their maintenance tasks were in the apartment. We would give the team a 10 star rating on this site if we were allowed to!

I am loving my experience thus far with the apartment complex. They even upgraded me to a nicer one bedroom with a mountain view when the resident of my original unit wanted to renew. Moreover, all of the leasing agents have been incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend moving here! It is also so clean, and everyone is so friendly.

Maintenance staff and Chris are amazing. quick to handle all service requests. Front office staff do not seem to check messages, I’ve had to call at least twice for everything, they’ve never returned a message. My car was hit in the parking lot causing $2k in damage and I have no recourse because there are no cameras on the property, despite signs saying 24 hr video surveillance, only on the clubhouse. The day I moved in I overheard other residents complaining about break ins and car theft. Don’t move here if concerned about security as there is none.

I have been a resident for 4 years. The parking is terrible, the maintenance staff is great. However, they have changed the entire office staff every single year. Additionally, the increase in rent is outrageous. My rent just went up 16%- close to $300 a month. If you expect to stay in your apartment any length of time, be prepared for this. I am moving.

My family and I lived in Avalon Red Rocks for 2 years. The reason we chose this apartment was because of the clean interior and surroundings as a new apartment. I was able to send our kids to a good public school around and it was a quiet and clean place for my family to live. Among the apartment facilities, our children liked the swimming pool above all, and the apartment staff tried to keep the apartment environment optimal. Like a new apartment, there were no issues related to repairs that disrupted life. Especially, I would like to express my gratitude to Clara for her efforts in various managements for the great experience.

I normally dont leave reviews anywhere but I had to leave one about my experience with Avalon this last few days. I was interested in this location and spoke with Clara in the office. I spent a few days in communication with her via phone and email and in that short amount of time she was the most helpful and kind to me. I really felt welcome and Clara really went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and explained all of my options. Ultimately I did not end up choosing Avalon as my future residence (nothing to do with the location - it just didnt work for our needs) but I really wanted to let everyone know that Clara was so great and if I was moving to Avalon I would be super excited and comforted to know that Clara was working in the office taking care of all the behind the scenes operations! Thank you Clara x x

To Me this place is a hidden gem. Location is great for schools, getting on the hwy for work, or biking on a trail. Management does a great job with any requests or needs. Maintenance keeps the property looking very nice. I was just talking with Clara the other day, she’s great. Overall, I’m very happy with my choice to stay for another year.

I’ve lived in 5 different places in the last 6 years and this is by far the most well kept and prettiest of all of them. The entire maintenance crew is amazing. I’ve met them all. I take my dog for a walk multiple times a day and they are very friendly and always hard at work. The staff inside the office are as friendly as they come. Clara is one of the staff members that helped me pick out my apartment. I see her outside everyday helping/showing new potential customers around and is always so kind and friendly. If I had to recommend a place to live in Colorado this is where it would be. It has the views, well maintained and has a very friendly staff.

Our heat and hot water went out during an arctic freeze. Vincent and Rene (the maintenance Team) were on top of it immediately! They made sure that my son and I were comfortable and safe while they fixed the situation. Its great knowing that the entire staff at Avalon Red Rocks works hard during and AFTER hours for their tenants.

Our family has lived here for the past few years and have enjoyed our experience. The apartment is beautiful, we always get compliments when we have company over. The staff is very friendly, especially Clara in the front office and Vince from maintenance. They go the extra mile to solve issues that arise and to make everyone feel welcome. Our kids loved the Halloween party last year and the pool. The complex is quiet and everyone has been friendly as well. The gym is large, clean, and never busy. The neighborhoods around here are great for walks. We highly recommend the community!

Excellent customer service from Clara and Jamie. One example, a Xmas package was delivered to the wrong door, and resident took it to office (thanks neighbor!). Clara not only personally delivered it to my front door, but she went back and put it inside my apartment, since I wouldnt be back until the next day. The staff goes above and beyond at each turn. Throughout my move in, I heard Welcome Home at least 5x. This is a welcoming place to be and the staff makes it even more so!

If you ever have a complaint, rest assured it will never get done. Glad I moved a year ago. Lived on the second floor, neighbor above us played loud bass music ALL night tell 1 am, ALL morning starting at 6am every single day. Would run and jump and bang on walls. Talked with the neighbor above him and adjoining wall next to him and we all concluded that we never slept for the year we were here. Complained to the office at least 15 times, they never contacted him about the complaints because I confronted him in the parking lot. If you never want to sleep, live here.

After having lived in my fair share of communities over the last decade, I need to leave my first review for any of them. Most importantly I would like to shout out Rene from maintenance. He was beyond professional and courteous throughout our entire service request. Even when things became more complicated, he never panicked or made us feel uncomfortable. He provided a quick, and detailed solution, while also making sure everything was done the “right” way. His work was never done until it was perfect. There needs to be more people like Rene in the world. Avalon should consider themselves more than lucky to have a guy like him. Great service like that is not easy to find anywhere. Thanks Rene! The location is perfect, the apartment is perfect and the amenities are perfect! It has been a tough year, but living here has been a highlight and I renewed my lease for another year without a thought! I lived here for about 16 months upon first moving to Colorado. I have never lived in an apartment and I can say that this was a great experience. The location is perfect for hiking or biking and near a lot of amenities. The staff is fantastic. Every maintenance issue I had was taken care of quickly and Clara and the office staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to whatever I needed. I would highly recommend this complex if you are in the need of an apartment. You will not be disappointed.

I only have good things to say about the entire staff here at Avalon Red Rocks. The office staff goes out of their way to help in any way they can. The maintenance team gets repairs done quickly and efficiently.Yesterday my washing machine stopped working. I phoned Clara in the office, and within 20 minutes, Devon (in maintenance), was at my door. Devon was practicing safe Covid guidelines, wearing a mask, while practicing safe distancing, which I appreciate. He replaced my broken washing machine, whilst being courteous and efficient!I cannot say enough nice things about the staff here!Even during the difficult times we are all living in, the entire staff works hard to take care of their tenants.Kudos to the entire staff!

I can’t speak highly enough about everyone who works at Avalon Red Rocks. This has been a hard year for us all and we are so appreciative of the care they have shown to our family.Everything from fixing a chirping smoke alarm after hours to a non working garbage disposal. Every maintenance request was handled quickly and within Covid safety guidelines.And who could forget the broken legs?! My daughter and I both broke our legs this past year. Both times Clara showed care and compassion in checking on us.Covid has been a challenge for everyone and I know it’s not always easy navigating the new normal with masks, maintenance, pool and workout issues, and much more. We have been comfortable that every decision made by Avalon was made with our safety in mind and truly appreciate this. They even worked with local vendors to provide food trucks to try and make our lives easier and support local businesses.In short, we appreciate everyone and truly love living at Avalon at Red Rocks!

I have lived at Avalon Red Rocks for fifteen months, and the maintenance staff is truly amazing! I placed an order earlier today, because my bathtub was stopped up. Chris, one of the maintenance workers, literally called me in fifteen minutes! He was super polite and professional. I cannot say enough nice things about this property. The entire staff goes above and beyond to work with the tenants, whatever the need may be. I would recommend Avalon to anyone looking for an apartment home.

Clara is the absolute rudest and most unprofessional manager I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life as a renter. Beautiful complex with beautiful views but she’s the sole reason why I could not live there anymore. She will not go above and beyond for you and makes millions of excuses to not do anything. If you want to live at Avalon at Red Rocks make sure you do what you can to avoid needing anything or anyone from the office. My car got broken into there and a year later my license plate got stolen from the parking lot and they did nothing to catch the people and had no plan to prevent theft from happening. They literally just sent a memo out pretty much saying “Make sure you build good relationships with your neighbors so these things won’t happen” such a joke...However, I will say the maintenance crew is great and does a fantastic job and so does Felicia in the front office.

My experience at Avalon Red Rocks has been more than I could have expected. I’ve lived at quite a few upscale rentals over a good period of time. This has been my best experience. Felicia introduced me to the property with open arms. When speaking with her you feel at ease. Clara has been an invaluable asset at this property, especially for me. Clara has went above and beyond anything that I could have expected. John and Vince are very polite and get the job done quickly. Management is doing a great job.

The apartments were very nicely appointed, maintenance staff was very available and the office staff was always very pleasant to myself and my mother! Although I work for the state of Colorado I still have customers. Customer satisfaction should always be at 100% satisfied. Throughout the whole move-in process it feels like Avalon Red Rocks has put my family needs in front of all others. I asked for a few favors that I know are not normal but they met and exceeded them. I love coming home to Avalon Red Rocks. Its beautiful. The community is nice and friendly. I cant say enough of the staff and how awesome they treated me. I was on a very tight time frame business relocation. Clara Bissell went above and beyond in my opinion in providing as much information as possible to help me choose my new home, including sending pictures of the unit I settled on. Oddly, other places I made contact with didnt offer to do that. Im so glad I chose Avalon Red Rocks. It truly feels like home.

Ironwood at Red Rocks is the best apartment community I have ever lived at! Management/Maintenance is super on top of it, and always go above and beyond for even the smallest request. The amenities are beautiful and well kept. This community is right near miles and miles of safe biking paths. VERY DOG FRIENDLY. The apartments themselves are beautiful inside and out!

I loved living here it is a beautiful community. If i could give stars for management they get all 5 stars. The managment in July 2019 came in a took over a poorly managed property and brought us back a community that was a enjoyable and clean property. Avalon Bay is a great company! The maintenance manager is always walking the property and picking up things a small as a rock and putting it back it its place. All very friendly in the office staff. There is a pride of ownership. I only had a few noise issues with people above me so for that I give the noise level a 3 star its not carpeted so I do think you hear more noises.

I never post reviews on this and honestly giving a 1 star review here makes me sad. This was my first solo apartment. I have amazing memories here but ever since greystar took over everything has gone to sh**. The gym is filthy since they took over. They don’t even have wipes to clean the machines most of time. The pool is really gross. People from outside the community constantly use it and nobody questions it. Most frustrating, the management is constantly questioning residents about everything, especially about their insurance. And when you present then with legit proof of homeowners insurance, or etc, they claim they claim they never saw it or nothing happened. Also, be prepared to walk a mile to get any parking spot after 6 PM. They didn’t make enough parking spots and don’t enforce people parking here who don’t even live here. So expect to walk a lot. Not a terrible place to live. The location is good and that’s why I’m giving it one star. But the management is straight up awful. The main manager with the red hair is horrible. I’ve given her this feedback plus some. Nothing has changed because she doesn’t care about this community. And now I find myself here. This community has the potential to be amazing. Looking for better management before a quit and move out.

Last March, I decided that I wanted to relocate to the Denver area from Chicago land after I retired in June 2019. I flew out here in March 2019 to familiarize myself with the area and visit half a dozen apartment complexes. I found that the more desirable complexes had similar amenities but there was one thing that the others didn’t share – Clara Bissell. Clara‘s upbeat personality, friendly disposition, professional demeanor and attention to detail made my choice and easy one. Kudos to Clara! Clara tipped the scale and AvalonBay RedRocks became my new home. I absolutely love this community. In no time, I met renters of all ages, occupations and interests. AvalonBay RedRocks is a solid community that I am proud to be a part of. Additionally, I couldn’t be more pleased with my physical space. My apartment is beautiful and appointed nicely with granite countertops, white cabinetry, vinyl plank flooring, beautiful bathrooms, wide hallways, 9 foot ceilings and a balcony that boasts the most beautiful, close - up views of the front range. Happy and content - that’s me.

Oh my... what sold us on this place was the pool. Spotless and sparkling clean. That was before management changed at the end of October-early November 2018.The prior management kept the grounds and pool area looking like a resort. They held community events and parties in the club house and pool area. The water in the pool was amazingly clean.No more. Management changed and the grounds just don’t look the same. The pool is not above all others any more. It’s “clean” state is not clean at all. There’s a subtle cloudiness to the water and actual dirt at the bottom of the pool in areas. No events any longer. You can smell natural gas coming from the pool filter room while at the pool. When we asked about that we were told it was normal and there was nothing they could do.( really?) The fire pit is natural gas and is often broken. The cushions on the pool area furniture are dirty and I don’t believe they are ever cleaned. There are food stains and occasional trash on the cement where thoughtless people think someone else will clean up after them. I realize that is a tenant issue but if people won’t clean up after themselves, it does then fall on management. In general, the pool area went from impressive to below average.If we call the office, we rarely get anyone to pick up the phone. When we’ve left messages ( only 2-3 times), we’ve never gotten a return call. Office hours are shorter now with the new management.What folks have said about lack of insulation in the apartments is true. We can hear the neighbors dishwasher, washing machine, and garbage disposal among other things. In winter, the floor just inside the door was like ice.The website says all apartments come with washers and dryers but that’s not true. A hook up yes, but as far as a washer and dryer, you have to have your own or pay extra to rent one from them.Dog poop is a major issue. To be fair, there are doggie stations everywhere that provide bags and trash cans but there are too many irresponsible dog owners that don’t use them. Again, if people won’t clean up after their pets, then the cleanliness falls on management.Everyone we have met at ironwood plans on leaving the second their lease is up, including us!!!

Also there are plenty of opportunities now to find great paying jobs around town. To the prior poster: Adam Sattley’s team left as of 11/1/18 when Greystar took over the management of this property.Current manager and her assistant are incompetent, ignorant and tenants are the last thing they care about.They have started policing the internal portal for tenants. Every post and comment are reviewed and if not convenient for the management, they are rejected.Get your act together, fix the pool or at least keep us updated, have maintenance tickets resolved in timely fashion. Make sure the security you allegedly hired, post car break ins, is monitoring the property and, last but not least, clean the grounds, staircases and the gym. We pay a lot of money to live here and that includes your salaries.Regardless, I can’t wait for our lease to be over and be out of here.

Ive lived here 2 days and so far its been great. Looking forward to all the community has to offer.*Update* I moved in on 4/15 and its not 5/24 (memorial day weekend) and the pool is still not open. I dont care, there is no excuses for it to be closed this long. We were assured it would be open before this weekend and now its not. No communication and the posts from the portals are taken down where it said it would be open. I think this lack of communication and lack of amenities is unacceptable. They will tell you its because of the glass, and the weather, but over 45 days without these?? I think its ridiculous and a lot of the neighbors are extremely frustrated with the owners, management, and Greystar.

Like others that have posted, I can confirm that these apartments are not LUXURY. While nice enough, fixtures are cheap, flooring is cheap, windows are cheap, etc etc. My college dorms were more insulated between units than these are. You can hear every step the person above you takes. I hear every drawer open and close as well as every door open and close. I can even hear my upstairs neighbors toilet flush. You can hear people coming and going up and down the stairs. You hear every car door open and close. In addition to that when the wind blows the windows rattle. This Christmas season has given way to a new issue and that is trash and recycling collection. There is 1 medium sized dumpster and 1 medium recycling dumpster for two buildings and when they are full the residents DGAF and just throw trash on the ground near them which creates a cycle of Waste Management not picking it up. While I love dogs and am happy to be in a pet friendly place, the lack of insulation makes some days feel like I live in dog kennel with all of the barking and the awful owners who do not pick up their pets waste or pick it up and leave it in a bag by the stairs. Lastly, while they do shovel and salt the sidewalks/common areas they do not plow the driveways which still have snow on them from last week.There are positives to this place...1) The STAFF is amazing. They are very friendly and responsive and take the time to get to know you. 2) The clubhouse and pool are beautiful 3) THE VIEWS are stunning if you get a unit with a view.I will not renew my lease and would never recommend this place. If it were just the trash and parking issues, I would think those will resolve themselves however the noise level of the units will not.

I am very unhappy with this place. As other have stated, its an overpriced luxury apartment. It may have the look of luxury, but nothing in it is luxury. I have lived in an apartment where I paid LESS THAN HALF of what I am paying to live here which was nicer than this place. Where to start.One of the first things I asked before signing a lease was about the insulation/sound barriers between units. I was told they were putting concrete barriers between units. Now, I have lived in apartments in the past that had concrete dividers between units and never heard a thing from any of my neighbors. There is NO WAY there is any kind of concrete separating these units. I hear every footstep the person above me makes, the music from the person below me and the doors slamming out in the walkway. Not only that, they have two exhaust fans that brings all the outside noise right into your apartment. WIND, CARS, RAIN, etc. I work different shifts and sometimes nights and have to sleep during the day. This was a BIG CONCERN of mine, and I made that a point when I was looking at these units, but they couldnt show me anything but a demo model with no living next to it or above it. I took their word for what the construction was supposed to be.Not only does the noise travel like crazy in these units, it doesnt block out any kind of smells. For me, I dont smoke. I dont like smoke. The person directly below me smokes A LOT. Every time I come home from work, my apartment REEKS of marijuana. Not just a subtle hint of marijuana, it REEKS. Other times, Ive come home and it smells like someone elses cooking inside my apartment.Parking.... there are still people moving into units in my building. Not every unit has been moved into. 98% of the time I come home, Im lucky to find a spot as far away as possible from my apartment. One.. its ridiculous they didnt create enough parking for all the units. Two... do none of the people living here have jobs? Do they ever go to work? Ive worked first, second and third shift and there are NEVER any spots for me to park in when I get home.Washer and Dryer. They said every unit comes with a washer and dryer. WRONG. After moving in, it actually sounds as if MOST units DO NOT come with washer and dryers. They discount your rent price if they do not. Well.. I was under the impression the rate I was quoted was WITH washer and dryers. NOPE. Then to rent a washer and dryer, you have to go with another company who charges a ridiculous amount for you to use 6-7 year old commercial washer and dryers.New construction. These apartments are brand new. I didnt expect to move in with a bunch of issues. Ive been here a little over a month now, and there are still issues being sorted out. The apartment wasnt cleaned before moving in, fixtures werent secured, nails were sticking out of doors and floorboards under cabinets. Theres a shiv in place to hold my bathroom counter-top up. I mean.. for what they are charging for these units... the shortcuts they took are UNREAL.Very unhappy with my living situation.

The new management is great as long as you dont need anything. I expressed an issue with a work order I placed over a month previously that still had not been addressed. I learned recently that the maintenance team was looking into the issue with the apartment below me several times but I was not informed that this was happening and thwe work order was never marked completed. I guess my biggest issue with the new management is the lack of communication. I got an email from management (whom I have never seen outside of their offices) asking about the specifics of my issue but I never heard back after I replied. So I tried again a week later and still never heard back. I have called the office and left messages as well. Unless you can physically walk into the office and ask for something, you will be ignored. Also, the grounds have been trashed ever since the management change. Dog poop is EVERYWHERE and every few weeks they make an attempt to clean it up but it needs to be addressed more regularly. I have also heard of several cars being broken into lately and, though many people people have called for cameras and higher security on the grounds, nothing has been done. We have a patrol officer who just drives around occasionally, completely missing the break ins. I have spoken to many of my neighbors and we all agree that the security and cleanliness of this complex has become a huge issue considering the steep price we pay to live here. It is a shame because this was a beautiful, clean and cheerful place to live before the change in management. It pains me that I had to resort to writing a bad review.

One bad experience after the next, cheap and poorly installed finishes, poorly maintained common areas. Don’t just take my word for it, read the other bad reviews or better yet come on over for a tour. Very disappointed, can’t wait until my lease ends!

The leasing staff is amazing, they were super helpful with the entire process from the application to moving in. The clubhouse and pool are beautiful. Apartments are sooo nice (except for a few issues... your neighbors dryer will vibrate your floor, the stair cases are noisy and a little loose, and minor scuffs on the floors and small stains in the tub). Issues that can be fixed are fixed right away. The complex is still under construction but it hasnt bothered us yet. And great location!EDITParking is already an issue. Working late nights and coming home to a full parking lot sucks.

I moved in late December and the complex is beautiful. Great customer service the women in the office are wonderful and the maintenance team is fabulous and they deal with most issues the same day or next.

Beautiful property with amazing views and wonderful staff. Gym, pool (open year-round) and clubhouse available to rent free of charge are excellent amenities!

I have lived here for over a year and love the apartment, property and office staff... However after greystar took them over the rent payment situation has been terrible at best, we lost our ability to pay online or even see what our payment should be without going to the office... At least the office staff has a system in place for this. They are also not cashing rent checks in a timly manner (almost a month now) which could cause obvious problems for anyone who lives on a tight budget... Overall ironwood deserves 5 stars for their work to take care of this situation as best as they can... Greystar however deserves 0 for being beyond incompetent during this transition.

Yet another overpriced, luxury apartment complex that doesnt answer the needs of citizens who are unable to afford the ever increasing rent hikes that are making countless people, including the disabled and elderl, as well as low income families, are ending up homeless.
