After 3 months of staying patient and trying to avoid resorting to a negative review, its time for me to say what needs to be said. I received an oil change back in December 2020. About a week later I was driving on the highway and my skid plate came loose and started dragging across the road going 70 MPH. This happened because whoever performed the oil change did not screw the skid plate back on properly after draining out the old oil. This not only endangered me, it endangered everyone else on the road considering it couldve flown completely off and hit another vehicle. After confronting Valvoline, they admitted they were at fault and agreed to replace the skid plate for free. I was extremely happy with their willingness to do so. Little did I know, they would go the cheapest route and order the parts from overseas instead of ordering domestically to get the parts as soon as possible. After 3 months of snow, below zero temperatures, and heavily salted roads, I still do not have the skid plate that is solely used to protect against these types of elements. While I appreciate Valvoline agreeing to replace the skid plate for free, I DO NOT appreciate their lack of urgency and resorting to whatever is the cheapest option for them. I ALWAYS have to call first to get an update, in which the answer is always the same: they are still waiting on one or two parts and they dont know when theyll come in. Ive asked to have the regional manager contact me three times now because he is apparently the one who ordered the parts and Id like to get an answer other than I dont know. Hopefully this review can finally get their attention.
Very unfriendly staff with poor attitudes--confrontational and non-responsive. I will not be returning to this location and will frequent the one in Batavia instead where they greet you with a smile instead of a blank stare.
Valvoline ruined my oil pan and refuses to reimburse me for the damage they caused.I visited this location for an oil change and in less than 24 hours there was a large pool of oil beneath my car, from the front left to front right tire. After checking if I had any oil left, I went back to Valvoline to see if someone didnt tighten the drain plug properly. The technicians checked out the car and told me that the oil drain plug was stripped and they were able to freely spin it and it would not tighten. They strongly urged that I go to a dealership that day to have the part replaced because they did not have it in stock.I made an appointment that same day at a BMW dealership. They lifted the car on a rack, checked the oil pan and showed me the drain plug had been over torqued and cross-threaded into the oil pan by whoever last changed my oil. The technician assessed that the entire oil pan would need to be replaced and quoted me a price of $2,182.71. The technician told me this isnt the first time he has seen this from a third party oil service station and that he would make sure to note in the paperwork that Valvoline was at fault.Once the repairs were completed and I had the paperwork I contacted the corporate Valvoline office to start a claim. The woman I spoke to stated that ideally I should have contacted them before the repairs were done so they could inspect it themselves. I repeated that I did take it to Valvoline where employees did inspect it and specifically instructed me to go to a dealership for the part I need. Ultimately she started the claim and I emailed her copies of all the invoices from Valvoline and the BMW dealership, as well as photo and video evidence of the damages.Tim, the Chicago area manager, called me that same day. He told me that had I brought the car back to Valvoline after getting the quote from BMW he would not have recommended that I get the repair. He would have needed to physically see the damage himself (despite having video documentation) and suggested that the dealership could have tried to rethread the drain plug threads instead of replacing the entire oil pan assembly. However, not getting the repairs done was not an option, as my car was pouring out oil. Tim told me there was nothing he could do for me except offer me a few free oil changes.Valvolines inflexible position and lack of accountability is very frustrating. The Chicago area managers condescending offer of a few free oil changes is insulting. To top it all off, getting an oil change at the dealership would have been cheaper than Valvolines prices.

Just a bunch of scam artists. Bringing a brand new vehicle Russian 10,000 miles and they try to sell you $75 high mileage oil change is the only thing we can put in your car total lies.
