Do not recommend placing reservations online. Limited date selection which can cause issues in losing the space you need. After selecting the 30th and paying all fees upfront I thought I was good until the next months payment but I was very wrong. PS tried to charge me an additional day rental automatically but luckily the card I used expired that month so the charge didn’t go through. I tried calling locally and couldn’t reach anyone so I went online and sent a message about the situation and asked to be contacted. Weeks went by and I finally received a call from a customer support agent who couldn’t help me except for giving me another customer support number which I called and they couldn’t help either. While on the phone with her I received an email stating they are about to put a lean on my stuff for a late payment and I haven’t even been in the space for a month yet. Then the girl I was speaking with sent me to a supervisor where I was placed in a voicemail system. I left a message and have still not received a response. Since I didn’t want a lean on my stuff I updated my card and reluctantly payed the late fee. All of the time I wasted having to deal with this mess is more costly then the stupid fee I shouldn’t have been charged in the first place. Just make sure you’re not blindly charged days after moving in. Keep an eye on your account.

I had to get to Public Storage storage to fix my storage lock issue however someone had to be on site. I connected with Megan at the storage to coordinate our times. This is the second time I have used this property. Eric the previous manager was always very nice and helpful. Alex the new manager and Darlene a newer employee have followed suit. I downsized my unit and they both were extremely friendly and helpful making it an easy transfer for me. I recommend this place as it is well kept and has great employees.

Even in COVID times and with a down cable wire, Megan, the property manager at the Naperville location who was helping at this Lisle location, went above and beyond to make sure that I could safely get in my storage unit. She was also willing to step in and help with you manager, when needed and handled a tough situation with a lot of grace. My thanks to Megan for all of her help and to making sure me, customer, was able to safely enter the unit after a tough situation!

My Grand Daddy and I came to this location to look into getting him a small unit. I suggested to him Public Storage cause I am a big fan of the company and have a unit with them as well. Mr. Eric was very helpful to us and helped us choose the right unit for his needs. Told us the amount of stuff we can put in the unit we were looking into and it fit my Grand Daddy’s needs just fine. A big shout out to Eric for helping us choose my Grand Daddy’s unit and making us feel comfortable in the decision. I hope all Public Storage facilities give customers the same experience as Eric gave us.

I rented a unit today. I prebooked online and confirmed everything today. I got to lock in my rate before a promotional period ended which was awesome. Erik, the property manager was very helpful in explaining everything and giving us tips. He was clear and concise. He definitely helped the whole thing go smoothly!

Erik the property manager was so great to work with! Thorough, efficient and polite. We got the first month at half price, they prorate if you need, so helpful! We had actually started across the street and found they were a little deceitful and are so glad we ended up at public storage!!

By design, its not disclosed until the time you take possession of the rental unit.You may use your own lock **in addition to** this cylinder-style lock, but you must purchase the cylinder lock at this location.Q: Why is this specific, required lock purchase not mentioned until a renter shows up in person to move in?A: Maximizing profit, and fleecing customers.Q: Why did the location representative not disclose this when I spoke with them by phone?A: I was advised that corporate doesnt like this to be mentioned by the local facility or by their call center which provides the price quotes and holds the initial reservation.Q: Are you sure I cant use my own lock *instead* of the cylinder lock?A: You cannot; corporate apparently audits the property periodically and gives demerits to the management if they do not have these ($17.95, mandatory) locks on each of the units at the time of their inspection.Its a genius way to generate revenue; until its viewed as an unfair trade practice. Compare our low rates (without the hidden fees); then well hit you with them when we see you in person the day you move in... Buyer (Renter) be warned and aware.

I had originally rented my unit online. Public storage has thr best prices around compard to other facilities in my area. The day before my check-in date and the day of an employee named Erik had called me to get me started on the check in process and we set up an appointment. At my check in time, Erik was waiting for me. He was friendly, super energetic, he even remembered my name. He took me on a quick tour of the facility and showed me my unit. The property was clean and had sercurity cameras which made me feel bery safe. He showed me my unit and we walked back. Got it all set up in under a half an hour. The process was super easy and really fast. I would say if you are looking for a storage facility I would pick this one for sure!

The guy who checked me in was nice and extremely fast (although too fast for you to absorb the information in the contract which isnt helpful).The guy who was working when I tried to check out was extremely rude and unprofessional. He had no customer service skills whatsoever and was very defensive and quick to put the entire blame of an issue on me. He talked down to me and wasnt understanding at all and he clearly did not care how he speaks to people. He was a complete jerk and he ruined the experience here. Ill probably never rent from Public Storage again because of him.

I recently switched from another storage facility to public storage in Lisle. Mohammed was very helpful. He brought me to my desired unit to make sure it would work for my belongings. He then went through all of the pricing and leasing information and made everything very easy to understand. I highly recommend using public storage of Lisle and definitely see Mohammed to get you taken care of!

My first time renting a storage facility and I had a major issue with my storage lock. When the attendant Janine tried the lock, the key snapped off and remained inside the lock. I had movers their ready to unload a full truck. Thankfully Janice called her district manage Chris Hubert and they were able to get a lock smith out ASAP. What was a very stressful moment could have escalated had it not been for the professionalism and attentiveness of Janine. Public Storage I just want you to know that Janice was excellent and very attentive to everything until my situation was resolved. She is an excellent employee and someone you can feel proud of representing your company and brand. I give her 5 stars!
