I consider that theft, stealing, or taking something that is not yours and using it. When I receive spam, I respond. After a devastating loss due to a flood in my house, I had the pleasure of having my house repaired by A. Schoeneman & Company. Mitchell Schoeneman came out assessed the damage, worked with my insurance company, and sent his crews to do the clean up.There was quite a bit of damage which Team Schonemans work crew repaired in a quick and timely manner. Truly Professional! Along with Mitchell my job was supervised by his Father Ron, and his Grandfather Allen. Three generations of family that care about their customers and their quality of work.

These guys are the best. I just finished my insurance claim process and it was super easy, given all the expertise and knowledge that Mitch brought to the table. I didnt know how to navigate the insurance claim process, let alone that there are people like Mitch out there to help you with it. On November 18, 2016, we experienced a devastating fire. It was a complete loss. All our personal possessions were destroyed but the greatest loss of all was that of our pets. Not one made it out alive.Distraught and devastated doesnt even begin to describe how we felt. Personal items can always be replaced but not the little lives we had come to love through the years. We were barely able to function until we were advised about A. Schoeneman and the roll of a Public Adjuster in an insurance claim. They intervene and represent the homeowner in claims to make sure you get what is coming to you.They spent days going through the rubble in cold and inclement weather of the little that was left and were invaluable in helping us reconstruct from memory, the remainder of the items that were completely destroyed. A task we considered impossible.Finally came the final phase of our ordeal, the demolition of the place we called home for all those years. Again, A. Schoeneman made all the necessary arrangements for this difficult task. The company used for the demolition did a wonderful job and their workers were very kind and supportive since they understood this was a challenging and emotional time for us. They even took time out to allow us to salvage any additional items revealed during the demolition. Although it wasnt much, it wasnt due to their lack of trying or compassion rather than there was little which survived.We have since purchased a new home and are starting over. Rebuilding at our former location wasn’t an option since the memories would be far too difficult to endure. We could never be happy there again. But thanks to A. Schoeneman and their guidance, we were able to recoup our home’s depreciated value making the purchase of our new home viable. Our insurance carrier has been quite supportive and sympathetic to our loss, for which we are grateful, but we are sure we are the exception rather than the rule when it comes to other carriers.All in all, a terrible and catastrophic situation was made easier to bear thanks to them. In the spring of 2019 we suffered a fire in our home. While we were grateful we were all safe, the damage to our house required significant repairs. At the time, we had no idea what we were up against in dealing with our insurance company to secure the funding for those repairs. The insurance adjusters initial offering was 60% what two other independent contractors had quoted us, and he had made several errors in his report by devaluing the true nature of things we had in our home (window treatments, appliance grade, trim work, fixtures, etc). My fiance and I came home one night and water was flooding from our second bathroom into the main hallway of our condo. We opened the door and it truly looked like all hell had broken loose. The ceiling... destroyed, the floor... drowning beneath an inch or two of water, tiles all over the place. Naturally, I filed an insurance claim to cover the damage. What I didnt expect was that dealing with an insurance company can be a miserable, never-ending experience especially when it is your first time ever going through that process. Great service I highly recommend them. Our store was looted and burned down during the violance that occurred on May 29-31st in the Southside of Chicago. Schoeneman & Co. is a family run business, spanning three generations, and when you call on them in your time of need, they make you feel like part of the family.After a bad storm a few years ago, the basement of my mothers ranch house had two feet of water. The basement, at the time, was primarily used as a laundry room and for storage (clothes, antiques, furniture, etc.). Everything was ruined. The furniture suffered water damage, the flooding had begun to eat away at the dry wall, and our clothes and family heirlooms floated about the room. My mom was a mess, she was worried about her stuff, and already stressed about dealing with the insurance company.In the past year, a close friend, living in a three story house, experienced an electrical fire in their basement. I had a terrible flood in my house in Northbrook and was referred to Ron and Mitch by a close friend. At the time, I was in a state of shock and panicking. While the basement fire I experienced in my apartment building occured 2 1/2 years ago, I have since stayed in touch with the Schoeneman organization (primarily with their outside public adjusters Steve and Jon) given the positive vibe and respect that developed from the excellent service they provided.The damage was extensive and because of the various types of claims that needed to be covered - loss of rental income, furnishings, tenant issues, reconstruction, etc. - I needed an effective buffer with the insurance company that could provide a one-stop-shop expertice in these areas. I carefully evaluated 3-4 public adjuster firms and decided to hire A. Schoeneman, primarily because of recommendations by previous clients and Steves and Jons no-nonsense response to my specific questions.Once Ive signed on, I mostly dealt with their office people - Ron and Mitch Schoeneman and Mary Jo, who was an expert with maximizing content replacement value. I must say that my experience with them surpassed my expectations, particularly with their handling of my rental loss claim, compensation for wall paintings and furnishings (units were furnished) and seamless top-notch work by their construction crew.There was slim to zero chance that I would have done better dealing directly with my insurance company, if for no other reason than that I was stressed and really had no time to deal with the onerous details involved. My sincere thanks to the entire A. Schoeneman organization for a job well done!

At first, when our retail store received a lot of smoke damage, we were anxious that our insurance adjuster will not provide us enough money to recover our loss. Our landlord recommended us to go to a public adjuster A. Schoenemoan & Company. We werent even sure if we should trust a public adjuster, but we decided to give a little trust to our landlord. While they were helping us adjust our insurance, they gave us more benefits than our initial insurance adjuster. They helped us in every aspect of loss of income such as monthly income, merchandise, technology, and other valuables. Because of them, we had an easier time managing a disastrous moment, and gained more than what we initially would have gotten from our insurance adjuster. When you see a disaster happen on the news, you empathize and feel terrible for what people are going through. It’s terrifying, even when it isn’t close to home. However, On September 9th, 2018, we learned just how devastating going through a major fire can be personally. We had just welcomed a new baby girl to the family less than 3 weeks before and were moving into our first home. Thankfully, we all were completely safe and the only loss we had was material. I remember the horrible feeling of trying to hold back tears when we saw what was left of our new home. Completely in shock, anxious, and trying to find answers, in a word, we were lost.As the initial shock subsided, we worked with our insurance company to get started on the claim. While they were great, we still were navigating completely uncharted territory and did not feel comfortable or knowledgable about what exactly to do. Im writing this review with a heavy heart, as Schoeneman & co where recommended by a close friend.I have waited over 8 month, i have tried to reach Mr Schoenman every which way, all i got were smiles and broken promisesPlease save yourself time and money and avoid this service. They promise miracles, yet they send the cheapest workers with no experience.( they collect their fees ASAP)I had a guy doing tuck point ( it was his first time on such a job..never did it before ) on my chimney, yet it has been leaking for the past 8 monthAll my attempts to to try and have them complete the job ( another 30 minutes of their time ) in person with Mr Schoeneman as well as emails and phone calls ended no where . .This is the answer i received from Mr Ron Schoeneman after 8 month of trying to finish the job, this is a QUOTE :NOTHING TO DO WITH ME MAN YOU DID HALF IF WHAT YOU GOT PAID TO DOIF YOU GAVE ME MONEY IT WOULD BE DIFFERENTThis is the answer i received, they were paid as well as the contractor they send, yet after an unfinished job, i am asked for $$$$$What a shameSTAY AWAY !!!

To anyone considering retaining the services of a public adjuster,I highly recommend A. Schoeneman and Company. Immediately, after enduring a fire and related loss, the last thing my mind was the arduous task of dealing with an insurance claims adjuster. However, once I began the claim adjustment process, I soon realized that I needed an expert’s help. The insurance company adjuster assigned to our claim was difficult to deal with. He would take days to return phone calls. More importantly, we could not agree, on the scope of the loss, and the adjuster gave us what I felt to be a very low settlement offer.My next door neighbor, who himself used to be an insurance adjuster, recommend that I contact A.
