I dont like posting reviews, but in the interest of helping someone else out, I have to say that working with Servpro was a major struggle. I put in a lot of work with the office staff to be a customer. It always seemed like no one knew what was going on, no one had answers to my questions and like the people answering the phones are only trained to take a message or take a payment. Everyone promised to follow up, almost no one did (thanks Ruth for coming through for me in the end). Once on site they were great, but the amount of time it cost me to just to get to that point was a major turn off.

I would advise you to reconsider using this 3rd party vendor. Lazy, lazy, lazy. They never follow up, had many times I request a call and it took them WEEKS and numerous text messages to reply. I had to do the bulk of the work with the insurance companies to get them to do anything. Repairs took nearly 4 months from time of insurance claim. Keep in mind, this was nothing groundbreaking, the majority of repairs was done within a day. Incorrect billing, charing more for work that took a fraction of the time, then decides to add more to supplement charges. Save yourself the headaches and use the actual workers, skip the middle man. The only worthwhile person at this company was Nicolle.

Jose and Jesus were great technicians! They were patient, efficient and friendly. April, in the office, was extremely responsive and professional. All in all, this Servpro location is the best. Ill definitely work with them again in the future.

My lead technician Ken, Ana and Emmerson came to my home and did an excellent job of getting my home back to normal after an extensive amount of damage was done due to water. The staff was very professional to say the least. They went over beyond and took time to answer all questions that I had. Their professionalism was extraordinary. They showed up on time and took care of everything in a timely manner. All of their employees were courteous and reassuring every step of the way. Ken and Jose were terrific and a pleasure to work with! I really felt that they had our best interests in mind, as they were thorough and were working to mitigate costs, a priority of mine.I was even able to bounce off some additional questions related to some impacted household items, and I feel like I got some good insights from them.In a similar situation, I did not feel as comfortable with that team, and felt that the other guys kept pushing to do more just to add on costs. Although seeing these guys usually means that there’s a not-so-fun problem to attend to, I am happy to work with this team and would gladly request them if there ever is a next time.-Justin

Brad, Ken and Jesus were wonderful. After we called at 2:30 a.m., Brad arrived at 9 a.m. and assessed our damage. He was polite, knowledgeable, and listened to us. He promised a team to our home and they arrived on time. Ken and Jesus worked extremely efficiently and explained the steps they took to prepare our basement to be dried out. We appreciate there hard work and commitment to getting the job done well. Thank you.

Production manager Ken W. was a pleasure to work with and extremely professional. He brought his team out right away which was lead by Josh and consisted of Emerson, Miguel, and Ralf. They they worked extremely efficiently and fast at cleaning up and drying out water damage in my basement. They went above and beyond. I would Recommend these guys to anyone!

One employee stands out as the most caring and the most responsive of the group. He is Josh M who has time after time demonstrated that he not only can cover his job but stands out as the guy who calls to let you know whats going on and goes out of his way to get other crew members on track. He shows he cares about the homeowner and does things to help beyond his position. Good job on finding this guy!

I called Servpro of Libertyville because of a water leak in my ceiling. I was impressed with my first call to customer service, they were very helpful and knowledgable. Within the hour, Bob came out to assess the damage, followed by Shawn, Emerson and Jesus who provided the remediation. The entire team was professional, prompt and courteous!

My basement got flooded, and my insurance recommended to call Servpro. I called around 3pm, and Ken and Jeasus from Servpro promptly arrived in 2 hrs at 5pm to take care of the situation. Ken patiently explained the whole process and shown to be very knowledgeable. Both Ken and Jeasus worked tirelessly until 9PM, and came right back the next day at 9AM to continue the work. I feel I am in good hands @Servpro of Libertyville. Thank you!

What happens during these troubled times with stay at home orders, social distancing etc. when you wake up one morning with water in your basement due to a defective sump pump? That’s exactly what happened to me last Friday. I immediately called Dan, Servpro’s Project Manager for Repairs. I left a message, and within a minute Dan called me back. Within a half hour, the plumber was here to replace our broken sump pump. Very soon after the plumber left, Ken and Jeasus, the technicians from Servpro, were at my door, ready with fans and other equipment needed to dry the basement. They came into our home wearing protective face masks, each practicing social distancing. Both my husband and I felt very safe having them in our home during these uncertain times. They were back 3 days later to remove the fans. I was very impressed with the speed, efficiency and professionalism of all those who worked in our home. A tribute to Servpro and the quality of people within their organization .

TLDR: their prices are way higher than competitors and they deceptively charge fees. The workers were great, but their office staff is awful.ServPro charged us $150 to evaluate the work and promised to credit that amount against their estimate. The estimate provided was for $1500. Their office confirmed to me over the phone that the $150 would be taken off from the $1500 estimate. Since i was already in for $150 and the competing quote I got was for $1300, i figured it was worth hiring ServPro since it would only be an additional out of pocket of $50 and they could start the job quicker. The work was completed, and I think done well as far as I can tell. ServPro then quoted me an additional $2800 to rebuild the drywall and paint. Before hiring them for the rebuilt work, I noticed that ServPro charged me the full $1500 of the estimate. They therefore charged me a grand total of $1650 for their services. When I called their office, I was told to have a good day and their office manager was very dismissive about the situation and clearly didnt care. I even explained that I had called in specifically to confirm that the $150 was to be credited against the $1500 BEFORE hiring them for the job and they confirmed this for me. I find it odd that they would rather overcharge a customer $150 and not get the extra $2800 of work. On the plus side, since I wasnt going to hire ServPro for the $2800 of rebuild work I asked their competitor how much it would cost and was told only $950! So not only is ServPro mischarging their customers, but theyre marking up their construction work up 300%!!! They also have a problem calling you back timely. Avoid them if you dont want to be overcharged or taken advantage of on pricing.

I was very impressed with the first team that did the clean up, but the team of Josh M. and Gabriel F. are very comfortable and trust worthy. They kept me informed about what they were doing and even helped with putting boxes back on shelves, volantarily. Which was a big service.

I want to thank CODY. He was a tech that came to my home recently to do an estimate for water damage to my basement. My insurance company and i however went with another provider...... but Cody arrived and was professional and very timely on getting me my estimate back. I would strongly recommend him and the company for your needs. He explained the process, what needed to be done, what was needed to midagate the problem and generally set me more at ease during a stressful period. Thanks Cody!!

Where to begin? SERVPRO….my new best friend!!! Unfortunately, while my husband and I were out of town on vacation, our basement flooded due to a sump pump problem. Fortunately, our daughter, who came over to check on our house, noticed water in our basement. She discovered this on a Sunday afternoon and immediately called SERVPRO. Much to her surprise and delight, an actual person answered the phone. No pre-recorded messages, no waiting on hold for hours…an actual person on a Sunday afternoon! SERVPRO is assessable to its customers 24 hours a day….7 days a week! So, she spoke with a SERVPRO representative who was able to schedule a crew the next morning to come to my home to assess the damage. Early the following morning a team of workers from SERVPRO arrived at my house and immediately went into action. Cody was the first on the scene, measuring the damage due to moisture. Then Ed, the plumber arrived. He diagnosed the problem which was a result of a sump pump mishap. Soon after Cody measured the damage and Ed determined the initial problem, the rest of the team arrived headed by Ken, the chief technician, and his crew…Jeasus and Emerson. After assessing the damage and determining the necessary action, they immediately began working to remove the wet carpet, drywall and insulation. Many things needed to be shifted or moved and SERVPRO took great care in moving these items so as not to cause further damage and always leaving the basement in the cleanest possible state. They also took care to keep the rest of my home as clean as possible as they moved in and out of the house. True professionals at work! On the last day, Dan, the Project Manager for Repairs, came out to accurately estimate the cost of the damage. We received the estimate two days later. We believe this to be a fair and accurate estimate and definitely will move forward with SERVPRO for all of our restoration needs. It’s been nothing but a pleasure working with SERVPRO’S comprehensive team of professional workers! It is rewarding as well as comforting to know that there are kind and thoughtful people out there who enjoy their work and are extremely competent in their respective jobs. Kudos to the entire SERVPRO team!!!

There was damage to my home because of mold. The utility room and both bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. I have family coming into town for a wedding the first week in September. ServPro came in assessed the damage, and with their busy schedule was able to fit me in and get the job done. Bob did a Fantastic job. He paid close attention to all the details and made it look wonderful. He was very kind and didnt make a mess. I hope that I dont have any more issues, but if I do I will certainly phone ServPro and ask for Bob.

I had to give one star in order to leave a comment.. if yu wabt your home done with the very very cheapest material make sure u use this co. My laminate coming up. My new windows not caulked properly.water coming through window upstairs in to my ceiling wall. They never fixed the basement window, watee down wall. Milldew.... they never did my vents . My son noticed after i was in two weeks. This is,a health hazzard. Much much more. Get in touch with me. I have given every bit of time for thim.. rugs coming up. Getting a lawyer. My basement flooded on a weeknight. I called SP for help at the suggestion of my insurance co. Tom came out the next morning (at my request) and surveyed the damage then gave me an estimate of the total cost for remediation. Within an hour or so, the crew was onsite and they went to work. Within four hours (maybe less), they had removed all of the affected carpet, padding, and drywall in a 1200 sq ft basement. Everything was bagged and out to the curb for pickup. The guys were polite and quick and I hope I never have to see them again. ServPro was great to deal with, Tom got the estimate right, the crew was friendly and respectful, and on what could have been a really bad day they worked to make sure everything was taken care of.I hope nothing like this ever happens again, but if I need to call them again, I will not hesitate. Highly recommended.
