Went there few times, friendly staffs. They are not planning to rip u off like some other places. They give you options for the repair, not trying to sell you any crazy work, but they make a honest call if the parts are not safe for you to keep it or replace. Had water pump and alternator replaced. Fair pricing, only thing was that the alternator is 2 yr warranty VS life time on autozone. But the part they use is the real GOOD quality product, not some chinese cheap parts. Going back there next week for the brake service.

I was referred to Mike and his shop by a close family friend . We reside close to downtown Chicago, unfortunately it’s very hard to find a trusted mechanic in the city who won’t try to cheat you and over charge you. I was very impressed by the quality of the service, cost, and trust. It’s about a 50-55 mins drive for me but highly recommend the place if looking for a long term mechanic and someone who’ll be honest and not try to take advantage of your situation. I pray that that the lord will continue to bless them so they can Coro bless many through their service and honesty.

My engine light was on and flashing so I stopped in. They figured out right away that a hose was disconnected, causing the misfires. They made a makeshift hose as they didn’t have the part, to get me by until I could get to the dealership. They didn’t charge me either. I will be back for any mechanical needs in the future.

These guys are fabulous! Had a battery we purchased from them go bad within the warranty time and we walked in, they tested it and came right out with a new replacement. Awesome.

I went to a car dealer for an oil change and they told me my steering rack is leaking and need to be fully replaced, cost only $3500, ouch. Took my car to Mobergs Automotive for a second opinion, they immediately pull my car on the lift and examined the situation. They showed me that its simply a light spillage and just need to keep monitoring on it. They explained to me clearly and precisely how the system works and also topped of the power steeling fluid which clearly the dealership place didnt bother to do. Now I know where to go for all my future auto repair work. They are honest and trustworthy people.

Very honest and knowledgeable techs. The shop is run to sell you what you actually need. When you get your oil changed, you get full synthetic oil, an oil filter (grease monkey said the oil filter was not necessary on my accord during the oil change), an inspection, and suspension components get greased as needed. Whats cool is the services at Mobergs are often the same price is the same or less than what Ive spent at oil change franchises.

I took my car into this shop on may way up from the city due to a very loud and concerning noise coming from my suspension. My car, to say the least, has a checkered past to the point Ive had other shops tell me to go pound sand. These guys had the knowledge to know that the sound was normal on my make / model after a certain age, and actually found my alignment issue when others couldnt find it. I really cant thank the owner and his team enough for their superior knowledge and troubleshooting skills. I went from thinking Id have to replace several parts to adjusting a few things and fixing my issue that has perplexed other shops. The shop really seemed to care...

My review of my mechanic, Mobergs Automotive. Seriously cant rave enough about them. If youre on Chicagos north shore and need a mechanic, Petes your man!-------Mobergs is great. My family of five lives within walking distance of work, so we have only one car. And we rely on it for daily tasks like getting our kids to school but also for loading down to the grandparents in Texas or camping several times a year.Pete and Mike and Deb are great. They are easy to talk to, extremely helpful, and will answer any question or explain any issue—and in a way that a non-mechanic like me can understand. They always explain what *needs* to be done, what *should* be done, what *could* be done, and what I *can expect* soon, and with a ballpark price. And Pete knows how we use our car. He frequently asks if were planning one of our long trips soon. If so, then youll probably want to have X looked at first. But youre fine for your daily driving.Because we use our car daily, it is difficult to go without it. But Mobergs does the work quickly—most of the time we have it back by the end of the business day. And their waiting area is a nice place to get some work done.People have many choices for a mechanic, but my circles of friends chooses Mobergs. Im always amazed that people dont say the shop or the dealer, but Mobergs—as if everyone already knew that this was the only place to take your car. Theyre fair, friendly, and fast, but, most importantly for a mechanic: trustworthy.

After experiencing the worse car sale transaction in my life at Libertyville Chevrolet, I was desperate to find an auto mechanic (one mechanic I have been going to for 13 years here in Libertyville finally let us down by quoting us stuff that wasnt necessary on the new purchase). Mobergs was recommended because one of the guys there has been working on Subarus for 20 years and that is what we purchased.I called around to get quotes on some issues with the new used car we purchased and I have to wholeheartedly say that Pete Moberg and his team provided the best customer service (phone and in person) that I have ever experienced.Their prices were fair and they fixed only the necessary to dos to ensure our new purchase was safe on the road and running properly. they got us in same day and completed everything in one day as well.They even went out of their way (without me saying anything about it) to put brand new screws in the license plates (Chevy put in only two screws and had pulled them out of a junked car so they were all rusty). Mobergs put 4 brand new screws in one plate and two brand new screws in the other. I never mentioned this to them and they never mentioned they did this to us. They went above and beyond to do this and a few other minor details for me at no charge at all. They saw something they didnt like and went ahead and fixed it. I was so pleased with their kindness and caring service.This kind of service justifies doing many more years of service with them. Friendly, honest, and the service is outstanding. Excellent customer service is very hard to find now a days. I have found it here and kudos to Mobergs for outstanding service to their customers. I will never go anywhere where else for any of my cars.Thank you.
