I was a resident sometime in the 90s before California found that I had ran away from my group home there in search of my real mother. Im now 39 and am having my first child and more and more these days I recall the 1 time in my life where I was safe loved wanted and I mattered. I can only hope to be able to express and incite those same valuable emotions in my child. I almost found my forever family there through a staff member. It was amazing and I draw on that memory when I need strength and hope (even if its a little hazy). Even as adults there are quite a few of us that didnt quite get the time to heal and this Home its staff the values and responsibilities we learned are memories that hold us strong in faith and hope and from the bottom of my heart and soul I LOVE APPRECIATE AND VALUE EACH AND EVERYONE THAT MADE THIS PLACE WHAT IT CONTINUES TO BE TODAY. MY LOVE HUMANITY HOPE AND FAITH REMAINS BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR SELFLESS WORK. 1 DAY I WILL MAKE IT BACK FOR THE REUNION EVEN IF I DONT KNOW ANYBODY JUST TO LAY EYES ON THE PROPERTY AGAIN WILL BE A GREAT DAY OF HEALING AND TRIUMPH.

I know several people that grew up there. Very good people. They have a good daycare program. And the car show in the spring Is nice.

This is the place where Lexington Community Church meets every Sunday at 10 am! If you are looking for a new home church, come on out to the auditorium of ACH and meet your new church family! Great people, wonderful Pastoral care, the most honest word of God, great music and many ministrys and out reach programs that you can get plugged into if you want, or you can just come and meet God and many, many great people!

This is a wonderful place and the staff are do sweet and helpful.

So my wife and I have had 2 separate groups of foster children through this agency. We decided to work with this agency because of the scheduling structure of the MAP classes needed to obtain a license to foster and adopt. After being licensed we started feeling like this organization was disorganized and completely over burdened with employees that were not pulling their weight, leaving the foster parents to feel the burden. At the Christmas party everyone that works under ACH was invited including biological children of foster parents, ACH gave all foster kids presents and gave nothing to our bio children leaving them feeling less important. Also, at the Christmas party during a conversation with the director he told me he would never have foster children in his home and he doesnt know how we allow foster children in our home. Well personally I think the director of a foster facility should have a more open heart and he should understand why people foster children. ACH also has a hard time finding respite care for foster families due to lack of foster families the go through this agency. Brittany, the first case worker that we had through this facility did absolutely nothing, I mean she would literally come to my house during monthly meetings and sit there for 2 hours and not say a word. Sandy, the second case worker we had made sexist comments to my wife about myself, always asked for paperwork multiple times claiming we never turned it in, and never completed tasks she agreed to do; to then say she was not asked to do it. I believe this agency is directly related to the broken foster system and should be completely investigated. Also, at the least the board needs to do some major house cleaning. My wife and I will be starting the process to transfer to another agency ASAP, that is of course if they dont falsify our paperwork once again.

We visited ACH to puck up a foster child for visitation prior to moving in. It was a successful visit. Both our family and the child feel that it will be a good fit.
