I had taken a 60 year old man there to pick up some food for him & his dogs. His place of residence is in Lexington County. The people working there are kind & helpful.

Its only open during the morning during Food Pantry hours, which also causes traffic and parking issues. Those hours dont work for my family nor myself just to drop off various donations.

A great place to go for really good finds that wont cost too much and at.the same.time, you know they really help so many people in the community...unlike the other thriftstores who rely on donated items and their CEOs gets paid like 100s of thousands a year!

Fair. They help with food which is the best & primary resource they offer. I never have luck at the thrift store no matter what I’m looking for. As far as financial assistance, they never have funds so it has been a waste of time and unfortunately they changed criteria to client only getting financial assistance once in a lifetime which makes no sense. (I have yet to get their assistance financially & it is briefly needed). Once a year is understandable but once in a lifetime is a bit much. They need new management, grant writers, something. However, many of the volunteers I have encountered from intake to the pantry have been very friendly and helpful.

The Thrift store offers reasonable prices on clothing and household items. Volunteer staff are Senior adults are very courteous. The social ministry is VERY poor. In 2016 during a life-threatening illness I sought for 5 consecutive months for assistance with Mid-Caroliba power bill. ALL five months I was told funds were unavailable. As an Army veteran and ordained minister, DO NOT GIVE monetary gifts to this organization. Give to worthy social programs...Mussion Lexington is a deceptive ruse.

Im absolutely amazed with this mission. They have a wonderful staff and a genuine interest in bettering their community. So much more than a thrift store.Their hearts truly go out to those in need.Its a blessing thank you for all you do. I highly recommend supporting this mission.

Have a great thrift store. Saw a sofa for $30. They have brand new, never worn wedding dresses for less than $50. Got a lot of clothes for a great price for my ever growing grandbabies.

Mission Lexington actually still helps me, and I make sure I help them with donations year round from wares, furniture, clothing, jewelry and food. They are all about the community.

The generous people who donate to the church are truly blessings for us who have a difficult time making ends meet,we can come here and get food that otherwise some of us might go hungry, its truly a blessing and thank you to the volunteers also, they are great helpers

This is a good source for senior citizens and parents when things are tight. (Medicine, bills, clothes, food. ) They are informative and very kind. Only problem is, it will take the whole day to be seen and registered. But worth the wait! Thrift store is nice.

Very kind and courteous. Quick in and out. They also offer clothes every 6 most if needed and if you disabled or draw soc sec you get a card to come mnthy. You just drive to the back for pickup.

My mother was there for help in June. There was a guy pulling in bread on a pallet jack. The bread was so high he couldnt see. Which resulted to him running into her knocking her to the floor. Since then we only have been getting attitude for Robin who is apparently the manager. They cant do anything because she has Medicare. She has been nothing but uncooperative and full of attitude. You would think shell wouldve been even a little concerned as to how my mother was feeling. Nope just plain out rude.

THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR. THEY REFUSED TO HELP MYSELF AND MY CHILD WITH FOOD!!!.WE HAVE JUST MOVED BACK TO THIS AREA WHICH IS MY HOME TOWN BUR BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE MY LEASE YET BUT HAD THE RENTAL RECEIPT THEY REFUSED TO HELP. I DID HAVE THE PROOF OF RESIDENCE FROM WHERE THE ELECTRIC IS IN MY NAME. WHATS EVEN MORE SAD IS THAT THE CHURCH I GREW UP IN IS ONE OF THERE SPONORS!!!!. SO IF YOU NEED HELP I SUGGEST GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN HERE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE AND WONT HELP!!!!!!!!! AND THIS WAS AFTER SETTING THERE FOR OVER TWO HOURS IN PAIN!!!!!No this was not my second time coming in with an out of town Id so get your facts straight!!! Also I did have paperwork from the power company in the form of where I paid the deposit as proof of residency!! THANK YOU FOR JUST PROVING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT YOU!!!I AM NOT GOING TO SET HERE AND ARGUE. I I JUST WANTED TO PROVE A POINT AND I DID!!!!

They told me that they couldnt help, that I was not in Lexington county after I tried to explain to her that I was she agrued me down. Come to find out that I was in Lexington County she not one time apologize. I thought that was very rudeHowever, they said that they would help me and gave ME the run around after I provided everything they asked me for than turned around and told me that they couldnt help. They help whoever they want. Everyone should be treated EQUAL. Some of them will just LIE to you instead of being honest. We all have hardships.WOW!I will never go back there... NEVER!

I manage Calvary Chapel Lexington Thrift Store (downtown) and I can tell you with every fiber of my being I believe this organization is class A! Most of the thrift stores in Lexington are doing a service to the community and the money charged for items purchased is supporting some kind of missions/ministry here in Lexington. The proceeds are used locally! LICS does more than any ministry in Lexington helping people! The staff that operates these stores have families and lives and dont work for free nor should they! We also rely on volunteers to come in and help and we praise God for that! I personally know people who have received help from LICS and when I found out all they did, I became very fond of them. I dont get to shop there because Im open when theyre open but if its something we dont have I will definitely tell people to go to LICS. Each thrift store has its own niche and some things are gonna be higher than at others but I will tell anyone before you put down these stores, please understand there are costs that go along with any business and they have to be paid. When youre offering goods and services for FREE, you can bet the demand is higher than what you can provide! God bless you LICS and keep doing what youre doing!

LICS is absolutely amazing, they are here to help all in need and yes, funds are limited but they go far and beyond to help everyone they can . Its also very important to also donate when able, we all fall on hard times, beyond our control, Ive always donated and always have been in a position to do so, and have always instilled values and raised my son to always help others in need and to give out of the kindness of our hearts without ever expecting anything in return other than the fact that we helped others in need and that this is what we all should do, and that is the true gift . When we lost everything last year, I reached out and they did not hesitate to help, they picked us up and have done so much for my son and I and Im am truly grateful. Over the years, they not only have become our friends, but they are a part of our family, and they take time out of the kindness of their hearts to help all in crisis, they volunteer their personal time to be able to help others and to give assistance and guidance and utilize other resources. We are all human, and the truth is that sometimes there can be situations of frustration, but they do the best they can to help everyone. But please keep in mind that that you have to want to help yourselves as well, and that to takes work on each individual requesting help. I want to thank Robin, sheri, miss judy, all the counselors and all the volunteers, and there are so many more names but Im running out of room but you guys know who you are that Im referring to, you all are a blessing, and have become my friends and my family and always know just how much you are loved and appreciated. And I thank each and every one of you for all that you are, and all that you do for our community and for making sure that my son and I are safe through our difficult time and know that when we get back on track, we will be back to giving back . And for everyone who reads this, please know that you all must do everything you can to be able to help yourselves and it takes work, but you can do it, funding is set up to help when available but after that its up to you to have the tools you need to to help yourselves.
