A week before closing they called and wanted to assume our property, not purchase as initially offered and if in a few months of no sale, they wanted to rent the property out. Not with my name on the mortgage. I refused to sign The declination papers, it said reason for not purchasing was the condition of the property, the property was pretty much turn key, fully painted, new carpet, new flooring, new mirrors and lights in bathrooms. Had a real estate person come in and put it on the market.
