Great service, got me exactly what I need for a very good price. The person who installed my service was friendly and set everything up super fast. My internet works fantastic couldn’t be happier.
I pay $165 per month for internet and it cuts out a few times a day. I wish there was a better option in this town. It is not my modem or router that is the problem.
Just started with Sparklight but already hands down better than Century Link. Including they knowing where Lewiston is and not having to have that explained to them to find us. Steady consistent signal.
Chris C, the tenacious technician with Sparklight, thoroughly attended to our apparent connectivity issue, discovering exactly the point of inadequate signal strength in our house. Yea, kudos++ to Chris, for his no lack of do-diligence robustly fixing our problem! 👍😎
Worst than Comcast, will be taken down by fiber.If you buy 300 Mb/s you really should get the unlimited.I got the 200 Mb and unlimited.
Internet worked great when we first got it…..starting having problems with unstable connection. I work from home and depend on a consistent connection for my job and income. 1st call about the issue they sent the tech out and they replaced the modem with the new model. Worked for a couple days then back to the same issue. After multiple phone calls and paying for the max upgrade in service the issue was still there with not even half the speeds I was paying for! One last attempt to fix the issue they sent out the tech “Chris Cox”. He moved the modem, replaced a line tap and helped explain everything to me. Chris went above and beyond and showed true compassion for my frustration in lost income from the issues. Truth is, I was ready to move on to another ISP but I’m giving Sparklight one last chance only because of the customer service I received from Chris! I hope Sparklight recognizes their tech for being the reason they didn’t lose me as a customer today!
I signed up for Sparklight internet and cable 2 weeks ago. Since then my internet has been down twice and each time I noticed it late afternoon and it was down until I checked it in the morning. I tried rebooting the router and even called them and tried a hard reboot but nothing happened. Really frustrated with what they charge and no service. The lady told me on Friday that the soonest anyone could come look at it is Wednesday between 1 and 5 because I guess no one else has a job but them so we can just sit home and wait?
We have had internet connectivity issues for months and we have had three technicians come down and do nothing to fix this issue. Only during the last call did they realize the problem weve been having and they still havent fixed it.
There are so many nice people working there. I called to inquire about prices and availability, they were super friendly and helpful. I have always used CableOne, which is now Sparklight, and there internet is fast and efficient. This was my first time speaking to anyone about my own internet, and I greatly appreciated the help I received. Thank you Sparklight team!
Installation was prompt and professional. Wifi modem has little power will not reach 30 feet beyond unit. Century Link modem would send signal 200 feet. Very disappointed.
Worst service that Ive found trying to get internet set up wait 3 weeks for them to come out just for them to not even show or call like that said thay did and schedule us out another 2 weeks for them to hopefully show up unfortunately the only internet in our area so no choice but to wait if you have to go through them make sure your foor is open or you will be stuck waiting
We have been trying to get our wifi turned on for days & have called multiple times to try to talk to someone but am never able to get through to anyone! Waited for a customer service rep for 45 mins yesterday finally gave up! I went to their office today & they aren’t open after 1PM. I don’t understand how they can have a business with such poor hours & no one answering their phones.
Absolute Garbage Internet service and customer service. Speeds are never consist, constantly have my internet dropping even when hard lined into the router.The Speed test tool on the website is not accurate or not functional at all. Have fun jumping through hoops to get connected with the lackluster customer service team who are very likely to tell you Theres nothing we can do at the moment. If you have the option to use a different ISP do it
Customer service is severely lacking. My first initial contact was good. Somehow my information got entered wrong, and some canceled my order. But they arent sure when. Because I called after no one showed up during the window for installation.One guy wanted to schedule out 2 more weeks.The second gal hung up on me. The third guy fixed the incorrect information, and the tech finally made it there. ( I ended up late to work to get hooked up)The tech was super awesome though. He was quick, efficient and friendly. HE is the only reason for rating up to a 3. Had it not been for him, Id have gave a 1 and canceled my services through sparklight.

When it works, it works fine. Easy setup and access. Worked great for the first week. Then, for the last two weeks I have experienced intermittent slowdowns and internet disconnects. These lasted for a couple hours in the evening. Today, I have had spotty internet connections all evening. Its not a wireless issue, I have a laptop connected directly to the box. It doesnt even disconnect the internet, it just doesnt work for more than a couple minutes and then stops working for 2-5 minutes before working for a few minutes more. Super frustrating
Over priced and poor quality modem from the provider. They intentionally didnt say I had an option to buy the modem directly from them or a store. Told me the only way to get it was to lease it.
I have been without Internet for a while. I needed to get it right away and add a decent cost for Christmas and when I called in The customer service was amazing and they got me hooked up in just minutes. Very pleased with the pricing and service!
I set in their parking lot on Next Perce grade for a half hour talking to a tech person on the phone. Not only did they not help me by having one of their ten tech persons switch me cable boxes. I have to leave the box on my front porch tomorrow and hopefully they will trade me for a new one. There is no common sense these days, I was there, the Techs were, it could of been so easy. Hopefully they refund me for two days without cable...
My wife and I moved into a new house and wanted to transfer the internet to the new house and called a month in advance. I was told that they wouldn’t schedule any further out than 2 weeks so I couldn’t do anything. I then called two weeks before moving and was told that they needed one week to install the internet itself and then to call the next week to schedule the transfer. So the next week I call and they have not installed the hardware but was assured that if I called the day of moving that they would have it installed and would send someone over to transfer it. Then the day of moving comes and of course, nothing has been installed and I called them and basically was told “oh yeah...we have that on record. Sorry.” And was told the soonest I could get the internet installed and transferred was the first of next month. Then they call me the next day and said that an opening was available for a technician to come out the next day (today) from 8-10am to install everything. I said yes, they scheduled me and then 8-10am comes around - nothing. No one comes. So I call them back and they have me scheduled for the 26th. I asked if I could talk to someone in corporate because I knew the lady on the phone wasn’t at fault, and they forwarded me to their corporate answering machine which told me to press 5 to leave a message (they didn’t answer of course) and pressing the number did NOTHING and it kept saying “no response was made” and repeated itself. I tried EVERY number and NONE of them gave me any response.The people I’ve spoke to were all very professional and understanding but this kind of disorganized “trust me, we’ll get it done” kind of treatment (and the subsequent failure to come through) has forced me to give a negative review.Reader, if you have any opportunity to work with a different internet carrier, take it. Sparklight is not trustworthy, they are not organized, and they are not worth the money.
Tried calling, too busy automatic hang up. Tried website, down! Mickey mouse operation. This valley needs competition in internet access.
My debit card expired and I forgot to update my payment details. I did not receive any emails or mailed notifications my service was to be terminated, it just stopped working. Oh well, just log into thier support portal and update payment details right? Nope, down for scheduled maintenance. Dial in for bill pay over the phone? Nope, also down for the same maintenance.I get this was on me. I neglected to update my payment details after my card expired. But if youre going to plan an outage where customers wont be able to pay thier bills, maybe have a little bit of foresight and dont allow subscriptions to expire during that window when they cant do anything about it. No internet until thier maintenance is done I guess. Hopefully its back up before I need to sign in for work in the morning. And hopefully no urgent after hours issues crop up in the meantime.Im not in an area that would normally call for use of a service like Starlink, but hey, I bet this kind of nonsense would never be an issue on their service. Reliability is kind of a big deal. If youre trying to inspire customer loyalty or instill any sense of confidence, I cant see it from here.

I have been satisfied with Cableone/Sparklight in the past. However, I am really disappointed that Sparklight has made the decision to discontinue servicing email, leaving us no recourse but to look to other means to continue with email.
I was charged for 2 months of service I never received because I had moved to a new state. When I called,they told me they had no record of me ever calling to disconnect. When I asked for a refund of funds, they told me they would continue to charge me until the equipment was returned. I understand being charged for not returning equipment but not continuation of service charges when you request for a disconnect a second time. I haven’t lived in the area of service for over 2 months. The customer service agent was rude and would not even compromise a little. I was a customer for over 10 years. Very disappointing. Also, almost forgot to mention, the service was always poor, slow, often didn’t work, and at one point they charged me almost $200/month. The only solution they had was to increase my plan which just made my bill remain the same at around $200. Kids moved out so less was used and so I eventually changed to the smallest coverage plan and it was still $80/month.
Since Sparklight took over Cableone my spam has increased 10 fold and mostly from multiple emails from the same source. On my last tech support call I was on hold for 23 minutes before I finally had to hang up. My unlimited cell data plan and hotspot are looking like it’s time to ditch cable.
Rick was our tech. He was on time, professional, yet very approachable. Fun to chat with. Got us all hooked up and ready. The only problem I had was trying to register online. It said there was an issue to try later. I had all the correct info entered. So not sure what the issue is.

Received the call as promised that a technician would arrive between 345 and 445.I left work, went home and waited.No show. Finally I called at 515. I was told the the appointment had been cancelled just 3 minutes prior to my call because no one answered the automated call nor was anyone home to meet the technician.I was informed there would be a door hanger stating a technician attempted to report as scheduled. No door hanger. The customer support was kind and one of the two I spoke with tried to have dispatch resend the technician, I was told I would receive a call. I did not. I called the second time and was told there was really nothing that could be done, but they would be happy to reschedule. My first time with cable TV, I have always used DISH, obviously I know why.Very aggravated at the no show with an attempt at blaming me, then the arrogance of asking if I would like to reschedule.

Have had a ruff first month with my service. Router needs reset all the time and my 4 kids have a hard time doing their classes online at the same time. And that is what I told them I specifically told them that was the purpose of it. Idk it works good when it works but it Shure goes down alot.
Internet speeds are rarely as high as advertised, speeds and connection strength are constantly having issues, they rarely help with or correct problems, and they have a monopoly on high speed internet in the LCV.

I pay for 300 megs per second but only receive 25 percent of that. For over 100 dollars a month. Day one of service lost connection with internet. Called to see what can be done apparently the have no kind of customer retention. The can have a tech out in over w week though. I sincerely hate this company Im sorry people still work here. Excellent service provided by Rick! Our internet stopped working for two days so I scheduled a service call. The operator noted that I wouldnt be home until after 3 so that is when Rick showed up. He removed a two year old router that the previous installer left, tightened connections and replaced rusted out something or other. We now have a better service, faster internet and a new modem because Rick is good at his job and cared about the quality of service we received. Thanks Rick, you were awesome and enjoyable!
They were prompt with the install and the technician was super nice! So far, happy with them. I had a self created billing issue and had to call the main office - the lady that helped me was great! :) Very happy!

My internet was not working consistently, I called to learn that my modem is a discontinued model. It is a Saturday, they told me a technician would be here after 7pm (this was at 3pm), I received a call that technician would be here between 5.30 & 6.30pm. Technician showed up at 5.35pm. Rick Dempsey was our technician and he was friendly, professional, thorough, and fast.
Rick with Sparklight was extremely helpful, found a problem with the original install and swapped it out and got me set right!
Prices are to high. Service is difficult to get even though repairmen try to do well when they come. Viral shut down & call in is a big problem. Cant get service needed.

Terrible wifi in my area of downtown Clarkston. Somedays no service at all. Everyday resetting modem/router. Now hav dsl and it works 99% better & faster.
Way overpriced! I cant even afford it anymore. I was forced to upgrade my plan even though when I started with them the rep stated what I was getting was more than enough for what I would be doing. So now I am paying twice what I was in the beginning. My contract is up in 2 weeks and I will be leaving.
Wish I could give a zero. Internet has been inconsistent for over a year. They always tell us its our router or modem. Well. We have bought 4 new ones of each. Both my boyfriend and our roommate seem to understand cableones issues better than cable one themselves. Now I have had NO INTERNET for the last WEEK. If anything. We should at least be getting reimbursed for that. But no. its our modem or router AGAIN? REALLY. okay. Whatever. I totally have the 145 a month to just throw down the trash.😡 PS Im done with the awful customer service.We have been nothing but patient and polite this last year. But when everyone in my house works in IT or electrical engineering. Its definitely not the problem on our end. Maybe hire workers that give a damn about the community. Sadly internet is more of a need in our society now than a want.
Expensive and spotty WiFi. Fined me unnecessarily and when I had problems that I took to customer service I did not get a response back (email). And when I tried to contact them again via email i got an automated email back. If went over my data usage probably from the amount of buffering my laptop did trying to do homework. The only help I ever got was when my router was set up, the guy who did it was very nice and helpful. But that’s the first and last satisfied encounter I had with them.
As I prepared to move to Lewiston I was deeply concerned by all of the negative reviews. Thankfully, my experience with Cable One has been perfect. I have had no problems at all. They installed cable and Internet on time and with no hitches. My upload and download speeds are as advertised (when my computer is attached by network cable to the router/modem.) They have quickly answered my questions. They even advised me on how to buy my own router and save $8 a month!

Internet goes in and out. Repair guy didnt show up the first time. Second time he was great. Been a week and still have a temporary cable lying in my backyard until their contractor comes out to bury it. Still have issues with unreliability. The last person I talked to just kept giving me the run around and I just got fed up and hung up. Hope they get better. Internet costs are too expensive for unreliability.
Cableone, now Sparklight, has always been great with Customer Service. John Holguin was the last System Technician that we had to our house for a problem. Wonderful service, repaired or fixed the problem we were having and was extremely knowledgeable. He didnt leave until we were up and running successfully. Yes, Cableone/Sparklight does seem to be expensive, but on the other hand, we can call for technical service and either get help over the phone, or the company will sent a technician to our house. No delays. Excellent service, so... thank you Cableone/Sparklight for your wonderful customer service and staff.

Actual speeds are half of what they are advertised at. But they are the fastest in my area so I deal with it. Very unstable and prices are high. But unfortunately its the best available here. Ill put it this way...if there was another real option in my area, I would change providers. With such high prices, shoddy service, and seemingly aging infrastructure, I can only assume profit margins are the only thing this company cares about. It pains me to write this because they are the only real high speed service in my area--therefore I use them.
The technician just didn simply come and install. He walked around the house inside and out. We discussed options came up with a game plan together and he executed it flawlessly.

Said I went over my data limit conveniently the last three months of contract so they could jack my plan up, one of those months we were out of town for a week so I know for a fact that’s an impossibility for it to be over. It’s a complete and utter scam!
They have been charging us $55 flat the whole time we have been with them. Out of the blue they charged us $125 and didnt even tell us the rates were going up. Jerks. It has been so many mistakes since I tried to switch to the Business internet from Residential. It has been almost two months and I am still haveing trouble with them. I wish we had another cable company who serves this area.
Called to have my service reconnected after the summer. Took 5 people & five days to get it completed, and another day for a trip to the local office to pick up a new box. Then i had to take time off work to meet the service guy, because now i was getting spotty service inside my house.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Signed up for internet. Tech was 30 minutes late. He was rude. He couldn’t access “box” because it was on neighbors condo patio—cableone should have put it on the end of the building instead of in a backyard. All it would take is a ladder to climb fence. He said, “I’m not climbing a fence. Tech said I would have to coordinate with neighbor when they’d be home and make another appointment. Impossible to do. Tried calling local cableone about getting a refund and sat on hold for 10 minutes. Worst customer service ever. I’m not holding my breath on getting my money back either. Horrible experience.———UPDATE—it’s been a week and I still haven’t been reimbursed my $91.00. UPDATE—-I got my money reimbursed.

Way over priced. I was never told I had data limits. Im home literally half the week and have no idea how I can go over any kinda data limit with all devices off little over half the month. The service is horrible for gaming both my son and and I agree on that. The price is completely breaking the bank. I think its time for somwthing new.

Nice technicians. Internet service is pretty bad. We upgraded to a faster service and have 2 network connections, one of them is suppose to be 300mbps unfortunately that isnt so. On a good day I get 120mbps for 5 minutes... Seriously! we have been customers for over 9 years and we are about to drop the service...

The guaranteed speed over ethernet that I was promised has yet to live up to the promise. Terribly spotty connection speed, usually running at half of the mbps that I pay for. What a joke of an internet provider. I pay for 150 mbps and usually test at about 60 mbps over ethernet until a tech shows up, then it miraculously runs at full speed for a day or two, then its right back to less than half speed. Consider every option in the valley before choosing CableOne

Low user, never told about data caps, basic usage has me nearly three times the data cap...extremely expensive for the poor internet connection, constant buffering and not the bandwidth that is promised. Customer service is non existent. Do not use this company. They will offer to force you into a higher plan. Comical in this day internet service. Not even close to acceptable service.

Terrible plans, terrible connection, terrible service. They say things come in 3s, but there is no end to the terrible.With that said, all of the internet companies here are in the Stone age still. But we shouldnt have to suffer because none of the companies want to take a step forward and progressively work toward what metropolitan areas offer regularly.Data caps are a thing of the past, and to see that restriction here is utterly appalling and sad. Ive had my current plan for 8 months (roughly), and I have never EVER been so disappointed with internet in my entire life. We have had numerous customer service calls and texts come out to fix our problem, but it always dies in the end and is unreliable.Thanks for stealing money. No one should have to pay for a service this terrible. It should be free and/or MAYBE $20 a month at best.Maybe one day well see a REAL ISP here...

Every time I get my bill it has 60$ more added on. Although I payed more than in full. Caps are redonk. Should be paying 63. Im paying triple that. Also the bill is the worst at describing what you are paying for. If only there was a decent internet provider in town, I could devote my loyalty to. Wouldnt mind paying 80 a month no caps or bogus fees. Gonna give century link a shot.

Ive always had great service with Cable one, I guess you just have to be responsible and pay your bills. Then you dont have anything to gripe about.
