Well worth the cost. With no contract, they recognize they must entice me to keep coming or lose my business. They do an excellent job of that. Multiple, identical work stations, always clean, staff are always inviting. I will recommend no other.

Warm Indoor pool has toilet paper and used bandages floating under water. Water is salty. So dirty. NOW two months LATER.. the pools and bathrooms keep dirty, towels smell dirty, used tampons in the family showers, trash cans outdoors are closed. The water slide outside is never on. Wear goggles 🥽 and see under the pool. I wonder... Is it so hard to keep the pool clean? I can only wish the service and the neat gym I signed up for years ago was still the same.

You want a gym with gorgeous views like you see in L.A. celebrity members only gyms. You want machines that will build the perfect muscle so you look great walking into a room but FABULOUS walking out. This is it. With no drama, no attitude, no pretensions. Friendly staff ( like you walked into a LV store in downtown SF!), plenty of machines, no waiting. Get that sweat on! Replace that fat with muscle. Be the best You.Their personal trainers are amazing too. You will get results. They only look good if you are transformed and look better than them.

Watch out when your membership comes off hold from a no charge hold offered at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. They did a great job of notifying me of when the hold will expire, however, when LifeTime asked if I wanted to extend the the hold they forget to tell you that they will start now charging the $10/month hold fee. Fortunately, my auto pay information had changed so I quickly realized from the frequent LifeTime attempts to contact me that my payment did not go through. When I explained to them that I was not informed that the $10/month charge was in affect they would not drop the charge. LifeTime was actually difficult to deal with. Many of you may have my same experience and find an un-exptected charge that was not well communicated. Please keep in mind they will not refund this money if it is charged. They will instead collect the money and take no accountability for their poor communication. I am very disappointed in how LifeTime handled this issue. Be very careful when dealing with LifeTime as they are not flexible and unreasonable when needing to address an issue.

Although Lifetime is more expensive than other gyms around, I definitely feel like I am getting more. Top notch amenities, equipment, and classes. I don’t mind spending the money because I feel more motivated to go to Lifetime than other gyms I’ve been a member of. It just feels good to be there. As someone who was not much into fitness in the past, I now feel like I’m a part of a healthy community. I was also pleasantly surprised how Lifetime feels so inclusive of all fitness levels and types of people. My only complaint is I wish there were more class options in the evening, and I wish there was a larger free weight area. Overall, I highly recommend Lifetime Lenexa and/or Overland Park.

The facility is pretty much par with the others that I’ve been to around the country. The main complaint that I have is their Life Cafe hours are never consistent. Everyone else seems professional and friendly, but Andy needs to find something that makes him happier.

I dont have a car to get to the gym cause my car died and they still didnt care and decided to charge me for an additional 30 days. I cant even make it to the gym cause I dont have a car to get there. The gym is nice to use but, they care more about your money than you and whatever situation you may be going through. I also received a phone call for weeks when I first signed up about a personal trainer. It cost close to 200 dollars or more and I kept telling them I couldnt afford it. Then, April the manager had an attitude cause I first came in to freeze my account then cancelled. These people really dont give a **** about you.

Ive been a member since this location opened, and Ive been pretty happy for the most part. Theyve improved in recent years on their upkeep and maintenance and seem to be working hard to keep the aesthetics current/fresh. Im not a fan of all the group activities taking up a 1/4th of the weight area, but it fits a certain niche. The staff in this location is pretty awesome, very friendly, and welcoming. My only real issue is more with Lifetimes pricing. Id prefer an option to pay for only what I use (weight room only) that would lower my price, and Id like to see more locations to bolster membership reciprocity in other cities. I travel, and there just arent enough locations nationally to consider a premium membership. A friendly suggestion would be to get some more advanced equipment in the fixed machines. To compare, I did a job in Florida and got a two-month membership at Crunch Fitness and absolutely loved the equipment. Compared to the tired old stuff Lifetime uses, Crunchs equipment was revolutionary. Lets get innovative and differentiate yourselves from the competition.

TL;DR:- One star removal is for the lack of workout equipment Lifetime Fitness has for the high volume customers they have.- The second star is for the high cost of membership at this gym ($70-$75 monthly).More details:A year ago, I chose Planet Fitness over Lifetime Fitness for the cost per month membership. My personal trainer has asked me to switch gyms since Planet Fitness has a lack in variety of equipment. Lifetime Fitness is the only other local gym that has what I need. Unfortunately, during the peak hours of the day, the parking lot is completely packed and the gym equipment is generally occupied. All sacrifice in meal planing and supplementation for the day revolves around getting in and out of the gym efficiently in an appropriate time. If Im waiting too long to use equipment, I may as well say goodbye to a majority of my lean gains. I have had to change my schedule around so that I can use the gym equipment at non-peak hours (late nights). This is extremely frustrating at the cost of $75/month. Honestly, it is completely unacceptable, and I hate to say that at all. Planet Fitness is NOT this bad.You cannot pay for what you need in this membership. For example, if you want to only use the gym, the membership costs are still the same. I dont use anything else at Lifetime Fitness, such as the pool, basket ball courts, climbing wall, etc.The advertising here is on a whole different level! It is crazy!!! There are ads in the bathrooms/locker rooms, hallway walls, gym, in my hair, etc. They must have their own product line or endorse other brands they sell inside their snack bar. They send email advertising like crazy also. I tried unsubscribing to the emails, but they keep coming. I made a new email account specifically for companies like this. Lastly, when you sign up you will be asked what your goals are for coming to Lifetime Fitness. Get ready for management to reach out to you with coaching options (I had even mentioned to them that I already had a coach. They listen to me so well).Pros:Outside of the issues mentioned above, this location is extremely clean and has a luxurious/premium feel to it. The male (since Im a male) locker room is large and spacious. They have a dry sauna installed inside. On the flip-side of membership costs, I feel that I am better surrounded with people who have similar goals as myself. Not everyone is in shape, but Id say a majority are. Planet Fitness had people coming and going throughout the year. I knew who the consistent members were.Advice to management:Tell corporate to calm the F down with the marketing campaign. Dont treat your members like another sale. Find out what is truly in their best interests for your club. They can make big boy/girl decisions on their own.

I absolutely love this gym. My family of 6 attends and we look forward to our trip to the gym everyday! I dont normally write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for Life time beings that it is my home away from home for us. I feel this gym is extremely clean considering all of the sweaty bodies that are roaming from place to place including my own. The gym equipment is updated periodically as needed. The locker rooms are always being cleaned. The staff is great and always listens. There is a wealth of information from trainers, with different viewpoints to fit anyones needs and goals. One of the most important factors for us was finding a place our children would be able to get active and have fun. We dont want to pay for a membership just for our kids to color or play on computers. I feel like Life time has a great balance with this.. We have had child issues from time to time, but I have always felt like they have been taken care of. No place is perfect! Yes, Lifetime can be expensive, but you arent getting a typical gym experience either. You get what you pay for at Life Time. People that care about investing in a healthy experience. My husband and I were members here a couple of years ago. We stopped going because my sister was diagnosed with cancer and it was advancing quickly. She found out in the fall and passed away in February. We didnt think she had so little time but we are glad we did all she wanted to do.In December all she wanted to do was go swimming. She keep saying she wanted to go swimming. I know there are places to go swimming indoors in Kansas during the winter, but we had to fine one that was close to the hospital. My husband called lifetime fitness to see how much it would be for my whole immediate family (14 including spouses and children) and I to get a daily pass. They took care of the daily pass so my family could just enjoy a day with my sister and gave them a quick tour so that they knew where everything was. The staff was so nice (they always are) and made my family feel very welcomed. Now to many that may seem like a simple day. My mom and my family still talk about how much we appreciate that Lifetime fitnees made that day happen for us. My sister had so much fun swimming hanging out in the steam room, and watching everyone for a moment enjoy a day away from worries. She passed away 2 months later. There a few memories that dont involve her being sad or feel like a burden to us. She didnt like how much time we took to take care of her even though she knew we wanted to do it. So having a day where things seemed as normal as they could be and she was a little independent that day, was an amazing gift my family and I will always be thankful for.So its more than just a really amazing gym to us. Its a place filled with amazing people who genuinely want to invest in your lifetime health. I believe mentally emotionally and physically.Thank you lifetime fitness staff. Well be back real soon!

I have been a member since Lifetime opened in 2010. Though my monthly rates have increased over the years it has not done so exorbitantly . I almost exclusively use the pool area. I too have had some conflict with the pool not being available to me after the outdoor pools were closed for the off season, but I found the staff at Lifetime responsive to my needs. After a month or so the pool became frequently available, and the pool staff is always ready to accommodate me if a pool lane is not open. I will continue to be a satisfied member. Two areas of needed improvements are the cleanliness of the club and the seemingly frequent breakdowns of the equipment, ie especially the hot tubs.

EDIT Their General Manager followed up with me and offered to cancel the membership immediately over the phone. It was a hassle but it got done. END EDITIt is tough to give this club a proper star rating -- the facilities are fantastic and the staff is very nice. Every interaction Ive had with them, cleaning crew to manager, have been good. However, the corporate policies stink and it isnt a company I would encourage anyone to engage with. Other reviews have already mentioned how difficult it is to end your membership -- the policy is obviously there to take every dollar from you they can. I guess they figure once you quit you wont want to come back, so they might as well screw you. I wonder if theyve ever looked up what good customer service is, and how word of mouth reviews can kill a business. Oh well!Buyers beware. 2 very generous stars.

The price is really high per month and the are always multiple things broken like the steam rooms which were out for over a month, there have been times with no hot water at all, doors broken for over a year I was told and multiple little things as well. As a paying client, I feel we should be compensated for these prolonged periods where there have been maintenance issues affecting our fitness experience.

Largely overcrowded free weight and machine center at every hour of the day. Make sure you know that if you want to cancel, they require you to be present at the gym as an obviously unnecessary hassle. Gyms like this and Planet Fitness make a significant portion of their money through making it difficult and frustrating to cancel, no matter how long youve been a customer, betting that youll give up and keep paying them. I also saw a price raise each year I was a member there, despite the already high prices. They will not stop you from being charged by request over the phone despite the fact that they could simply verify any necessary security info over the phone like a credit card company or bank.Lifetime, you hurt your reputation through these policies and unhelpful attitudes, and I recommend to everyone who wonders about this gym to look almost anywhere else.

Terrible! The gym its self is beautiful and has great equipment. But, when you are signing up beware! They tell you that you pay on a month to month basis, but they DO NOT tell you that you will be charged for the month after you want to end your membership. I went in on the 9th of July because my billing period is the 1st of each month. I thought that would give them plenty of time to end my membership. But no, they told me I was still required to pay for August, because it was in the contract I signed. But, when i signed up, i was told they were a no contract gym. The staff was not helpful at all, and actually very rude. They are all stuck up. I tried to tell Cecelia (one of the people who deals with memberships) that i did not have the money to pay Augusts membership dues. She ended up getting mad and hanging up. Didnt love that the family locker room was used as a hallway by everyone.
