We had some chicken Kati rolls & Gol Guppa from Chaatwalla within Chefscape at the Village Market in Leesburg. They were both delicious and the chef was very attentive. The General Mgr at Chefscape was so helpful! She came up with the coolest wings mural Ive ever seen that is located inside. Unfortunately it wont be there for long - they are expanding the establishment and the wing wall will be demolished. :(
Love this place. The variety of changing kitchens makes for a new food experience every time. The bar is great also with a decent tap list and cocktails.
Tia Pepa is a fantastic new tapas place at Chefscape, brought to us by the owners of the deservedly famous Taberna del Alabardero in Washington DC. Every item we sampled was out of this world, from the classic Serrano ham and Manchego cheese, to the Spanish omelette to the deep fried porcini and truffle cream mushroom balls (which are to die for.) We pre-ordered the 8-serving seafood paella for pickup the next day, which was spectacular and delicious - transporting us to Spain. Must visit. Great value for money.
Newly opened this Food Hall/Bar/Test Kitchen/Party Venue has so much to offer. ChefScape is huge! Inside you’ll find a bar immediately as you enter followed by four different restaurants in the far left corner of the restaurant and in the middle, it’s all dining seating. The idea of ChefScape is to give up and coming chefs and restauranteurs a place to test and perfect their dishes before they take the leap of starting their own standalone restaurant. Each restaurant will stay for about six months before new talent is given a chance.Additionally, there is also an area for live music in the far right corner. This place will be perfect for the summer as it has a roll-up the door by the front bar. The restaurants are all so professional and make amazing dishes. There is not a thing I didn’t enjoy! I owners are so down to earth and friendly too. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with them.Although extremely new they do an incredible job keeping everything clean. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect when I came here, but I was so pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. If you’re looking for a great laidback atmosphere, people and food I highly recommend coming here and showing these upcoming restauranteurs some love.
I frequently stop by Chefscape to get food at the Colombian Place, its absolutely hands down the best food in the area and now they added baked goods. Fantastic!!!
Love it. Nice environment! Repeat!!! Highly recommend!
There was only two places servicing food and didnt have everything available. The drink I had was a pre-mix and just tasted like simple syrup.
Saw a great performance by an All Star band & received good, friendly service. Might actually be better than four stars; missed the kitchen(s) by a few minutes!
I love this place for so many different occasions - date night, girls night, family meals. I love that ther are several options for food in one spot and that they are all so very different. Love that there is the bar that offers a great variety of draft beers, along with cocktails.
4 new restaurants every 6 months (?) share a dining space and a spacious bar
Amazing concept for families from different backgrounds to gather and enjoy multiple cuisines together. Plus everything we ate was amazing!
Great atmosphere, food, an drinks!
Colombian place food was great also the place was very clean and the music of the cain. Will pass it on to family and friends...
Makaw acai bowls, cant be beat. So good, we look forward to eatting there every weekend.
Most of the staff does not wear masks here. We were shocked. Brought to their attention and they made us leave. Took pictures to prove they did not have masks on. Shocked by their total disregard for customers safety and health. I would avoid this place.
Really like the location, service and food. We ordered food to table instead of getting it ourselves and it too way longer than really necessary. Also, the ventilation system needs an upgrade or a cleaning or something because we walked out of there smelling like grease and oil.
All their food is very high in sodium & carbs, very stingy with the proteins!Might as well buy a can of Chunky Soup, probanly healthier.Any cheff that over does it with the salt, does not know how to cook and use spices well! Salt belongs on the table, since it dissolves instantly onto food! Thats why its called table salt, one adds it to food for taste!
If you know about Colombian food, this place is an imitation in my opinion. To expensive, and the dish is too small. The should improve the quality of the Colombian food. Thanks. No coming back.
JOHNNY RAYS SULTRY SOUL FOOD! CANT WAIT TO GET BACK TO LEESBURG! Chicken, fish, greens, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes-all are excellent! I want to try others, but Im in love with the fish! YUMMY
Excellent place to grab a drink and a bite
Interesting concept. I enjoyed the food at Johnny Rays. The owner came out and spoke to us. They were out of Whiting, but the catfish was tasty. Looking forward to trying the live music in a couple of weeks.
No hostess to greet or explain. Had to figure it out on my own. Too few menus. Excellent entertainment by Nathaniel Davis. But food was slow to arrive. Drink menu limited. Service poor.
Stopped to have the Puerto Rican food, itwas expensive and not worth it. We were so disappointed! The pork tasted like it was from the bottom of the pan. I had steak and onions and it was a small piece of cubed steak greasy and vinegary. The rice was hard. The BAR over charged us $20 and unfortunately my husband did not notice until he looked at the receipt Saturday morning. We arrived at 6pm and according to the website happy hour is 3-7. I had 2 Vodka & cranberry drinks ($5 happy hour price) and my husband had 2 beers. We were charged $40. We will never patronize this place again and warned my friends.
Great concept .Food : we had food from the Colombia place the cheese empanadas were very delicious.Drinks : at The Bar I had Isla Bonita and it was really good and strong.Definitely going back to try the Puerto Rican Mofongo.
Four different food vendors, plus dessert, and a separate bar. Lots of fun and delicious food. They had live music one time we were there.
Ive visited Chefscape several times and love it. Ive sampled Jimmy Rays catfish, Flavors nachos and The Columbian Places empanadas and all is top notch for a decent price. Drinks seemed a little slow coming last Spring but in the past month or so theyve really cranked up the speed.Theyve been bringing in live music on the weekends lately and the quality and variety is pretty awesome. Country one night, 90s and 2000s covers the next. Even caught an 80s hard rock band a few weeks ago - Im not sure any of them were even born when David Lee Roth was in Van Halen but they ROCKED!If youre in the Leesburg area or just looking for a place to get away from the crazy One Loudoun crowds and weekend fight club, check out this gem!
Great experience at Chefscape, way to go Island Food To Go
Chefscape is a great concept, executed very professionally in Leesburg. Fun as a bar! Fun for foodies! Fun for special events! And a super resource for up and coming local chefs! Its a win for everybody!Walking in, theres a small retail area with t-shirts, bloody mary mix and mix-your-own-six beer then you walk into a large bar area...The bartender, Colin, is attentive, makes interesting, well-informed conversation and fantastic drinks! We had Bloody Marys, garnished with a sprig of fragrant Rosemary, a Winter-rita which was awesome! And a pineapple upside down drink, which sounds like it might be too sweet, but wasnt. Home-made grenadine might be the secret! I would (and actually have!) try any of them again! My buddy had a bourbon cocktail that was outstanding, smooth and buttery, but I cant remember its name. The first time I walked in, Colin explained how Chefscape works when I asked...You can sit at the bar or a high top or at the tables, or even couches, enjoy a drink and relax. When youre ready, you can visit one of the food vendors along the back walls. I think there were 6 when we were there, ranging from Johnny Rays, whos been there for a year, to a new-ish Columbian place, a Puerto Rican place and an awesome place called Flavours, whose nachos are calling to me even now. (Hello? I miss you! Ill be your best friend! Eat me! Im the best nachos on the planet!) The sticky chicken wings at Johnny Rays were big meaty wings with a crunchy coating and a sauce that was crack-level addictive! You order and pay for your food at each individual booth. The vendor(s) give you a number(s) to display where youre sitting, and they deliver the food to you on a metal tray. (You bus your own tray after you eat, btw.) The service was pretty prompt both times we were there. The first time we were there for brunch, there was a low-key family atmosphere. Kids playing a giant connect four game, people chatting.... The second time we were there was a Friday night and it was an adult crowd, there to have a good time. They had a really great band playing, people dancing. Lots of smiles and laughter. Drinks, snacks, music - just a simple, rocking, happy place! So thats the front of the house! Now, the back of the house has basically three levels., and this is where Chefscape is really a win for everyone. First they have a large event area with stadium seats.Second, a room set up for cooking lessons. They do parties, corporate events, birthdays, crafts, etc here. Tilted mirror and all! And, last but not least, they have commercial kitchen spaces for lease - including all the facilities! So, if youre a home chef, a food truck or a caterer who needs certified commercial kitchen space and equipment to work? Come talk to these folks. I understand they have space in Ashburn too.So, thats why Chefscape is a WIN-WIN-WIN! Theres something for everybody!
At the time of this review they’ve only been open for ~2 weeks so far...and it shows. Hopefully they will be able to work out their kinks, especially with customer service. Wouldn’t recommend going to Chefscape at this time to any of my friends.
Perfect location, bar had a great selection and options. Loved the variety of food and being able to support local business and budding entrepreneurs
We love AhSo bar for their great cocktails and it’s fun to have a variety of “food truck” options under one roof, supporting small local businesses. And with the turnover of chefs it will keep you coming back for more.
This place is amazing! Awesome atmosphere, great food, clean, fun, easy, fulfilling!!! Theres a bar with happy hour, four different places to choose from to eat one being Soul food, Puerto Rican cuisine, Rice and noodles and ramen and Bim bap and sushi place, Colombian food with empanadas and arepas. They have karaoke or music or salsa different nights, dessert place that has amazing cupcakes, macaroons and cookies. Come on down there something for everyone will have a blast I promise. This place is super cool 😎 come check it out youre definitely missing something if you havent!!
This place looks nice and clean but not enough foods over there
Horrible service - food not good, greasy and not seasoned. Would not recommend this place
Terrible service. Wasted 10 min at the bar, and couldnt get an order in. Bartender only interested in serving the girls. Ill never come back here.
My membership at ChefScape has provided me the necessary infrastructure and support which are vital ingredients to continue my successful bakery business. After selling my brick and mortar location, ChefScape’s business model was a perfect blend with mine. The shared membership with a variety of food service businesses has allowed me to collaborate and evolve.
Sandwhich bistro was awesome. The falafel sandwhich was the best I’ve had in a while. The salad was a little sparse but good. Hummus was awesome too
Im reviewing as someone who just came in to drink-you go in the doors and theres a kitchen front with supplies for sale? Pop over to the bar to grab a beer. Decent selection and price on beer and wine, did not see a cocktail menu. Noticed a bunch of random blackboards with names- I ask the bartender about food and then get told I order at each one individually. All of the food was great! (Sticky wings, baba ganoush) I am dropping a star for the dj-went from standard Saturday night mix to Spotify blasting. I really want to like this place but would have preferred a host at the front door or video like welcome to this concept heres how it works. Also would have like to seen a craft cocktail or two. Im going to try again for dinner and see if it is better at that time.
Great experience.
A word cannot describe about ChefScape, they went out of their way to make thinks happened for small businesses. Thanks to Rob from bottom of my heart. Without SchefScape Halal Express wont be in business.
Excellent cocktails and bar staff. But food is jus okay and extremely expensive.
Really nice atmosphere with a variety of food options.
Horrible service, food? Not recommend it.
I joined ChefScape in February of 2017. After my first tour, I realized that it was a perfect fit for my catering business. ChefScape is great for my business model. When my customers come into the kitchen they often speak about the creative concept.Tobsee chefs in one place creating endless possibilities is a beautiful thing. It’s an absolute pleasure to be a member, and I look forward to doing greater things at ChefScape.-Johnny Ray
