Took my car to D & D with what I thought were issues. They told me not to worry about certain items and provided information that put me at ease and directed me for further action by the dealer as the found issue might end up being covered by the manufacturer! And they didnt charge me to take the time to investigate and tell me all of this! Thank you!!
Took my vehicle in for state inspection and as usual they were quick and efficient. I enjoy supporting local businesses and will continue to return here.
Great family-run, local business. Always friendly and prompt service. The service is always well done. They take the time to explain potential issues and let you weigh the options. Fair pricing. We switched over to using them a few years ago and the car is running great and we are very happy.
Great service & prices. They work wonders with Hondas.
D&D is now my go-to business. They were able to pinpoint a pesky problem with my car that has been a nuisance for a long time (when I was using another service). Fair prices and work with my schedule. My car only goes to them now for any work.
Excellent service and value, as always. Highly recommend D&D for all automotive needs.
Took my car in right away. The staff was very patient with me. I asked for a couple days to figure out if the major repairs were worth it. When I did decide the repairs were needed, they fixed my car within two days. Fair Pricing, Friendly Staff. Would reuse their services.
Great family run business with fair prices. They do a great job everytime.
I love this auto shop. They are always helpful, get things done quickly, and have been able to fix or help with any issues/questions I have with my MDX. They perform the MDX maintenance servicing as well which is way more convenient than going to a dealership, and I find their pricing to be very fair and reasonable. A great local shop that gives me peace of mind with my vehicle.
Honest and fair repair shop and all around nice people!
They are a great locally owned shop! They are quick, honest, and friendly. Ive never had a bad experience with them and Ive been going since 2014.
They always take good care of our family of cars
Very easy painless emission testing place. Done in 20 minutes
I have not been there in a number of years. I feel like because I was a woman they overcharged me every time.
I had stored a vehicle for about two years. Needed both emissions and regular inspection to get it on the road. D&D repaired what was necessary to accomplish that at a very reasonable price and now am driving it without any issues.6+ stars if I could.
I will never take my car anyplace else. I completely trust D & D, the prices are very fair and they work hard to get the work done quickly. They are honest, fair and personable.
-Honest-Owner-operated-Easy to understand explanations-Quality workmanshipIve had routine maintenance and also brake/tire work done here. Great work, honest delivery - saved me $$ by machining rotors when I was prepared to replace them. Its the kind of place you dont have to worry about the up-sell. Highly recommended.
About two years back i came in for an oil change and asked them to also look at my plastic undercarriage, which had gotten snagged on a branch on the road on a stormy day and had the plastic ripped apart.i told them that if need be, Id pay for a new undercarriage but to let me know what they thought. they could easily have said it all needed to be replaced, and i wouldve gone along with it.instead, they wrangled it back together and didnt charge me an extra dime for it. Ive been coming here ever since. great customer service and fair prices
Friendly and professional staff in the front office. They took the time to work with me when scheduling my vehicle or service. They were able to schedule an appointment that fit my busy work schedule. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and well-trained. They did a wonderful job fixing my car.
Quality service, knowledgeable mechanics, fair prices.
Got new brakes and pads, didnt even last a full year in regular driving. Nice folks, though.
D&D Automotive is hands down the best service center I have used. They are fast, friendly, reasonable and reliable. I had to have a CV axle replaced and state inspection and it was completed by lunch time.
Great to have a locally owned and operated company that I can trust with all of our family vehicle repairs.
I used D & D for a pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle I was considering buying from out of state. They performed a thorough inspection at a good price and the same day I put the request in, the customer service was above and beyond expectations. This is a great business, highly recommended.
Excellent service, real friendly people. Didnt get the feeling they were tacking stuff on to get more money
After weeks of research on the net and observation of my cars vibration problem, I wrote my 2 pages of findings, including detailed observation of what exactly is taking place when Im driving. When I initially visited D&D to set up an appointment they read all of it! I set an appointment and they were able to repair my cars vibration and brake problem. The car drives like new. Thanks for reading, listening to what I wrote and said.I think I saved some money and made their job easier, something that I found not many people in the forums on the net with similar problems were able to say.It was the first time that I used them as Im new in the area.Vehicle: Toyota Highlander 2003Service Date: 09/03/2015
Very friendly and fair! They will send you a text now when your work is done. Theyve got a costumer for life.
My son took my Jeep to this place for a repair estimate. The rear brake cylinder was leaking and they called me with an almost $600 estimate to replace and repair. I told them no thanks because I found the part on Amazon for $14. The rude woman on the phone that I spoke with would not release the vehicle to my son. She told us there is a charge for doing an estimate. Never heard of this before. They were holding the vehicle hostage until I called Leesburg Police. Once the police were engaged they gave the car back to my son. Never ever will I do business with this bunch of crooks!!!
Was VERY pleased with the service. I thought there was something wrong with my car because of the dashboard light that was on. They checked and double checked, and assured me all I needed was an oil change. WHEW! *huge sigh of relief* It is so rare to find a mechanic who does not try to rip me off. Will definitely be going back to D&D in the future.
I needed work on my catalytic converter, cooling system, an induction service, as well as some sparks plugs. After I had gotten the car back from D&D it was making a funny noise and my first thought was Im gonna have to fight this. But I didnt, D&D fixed it happily, and were very professional about it. The prices were fair and everything was done in a timely manner. My car works great and I will be going here again.
Friendly service and fast work. amazing people
Honest, reliable, reasonably priced Auto service center. No surprises.
D&D always hooks my husband and I up with great service and extremely fair prices. We LOVE this place!
After nearly being scammed by another shop D&D took me in and had my car up and running at a fraction of the cost. Honest and dependable... Thank you
Friendly and do good work and more reasonable than most around here.
D&D is my standard auto repair place now. No problems, good advice, reliable, fair. Rates high on the integrity scale as well as on skill and timeliness.
Great place to service your car. They never will say that you need to change something just to make money on you.
Recommended by a friend. The check engine light came on and needed my car diagnose and fixed on the same day. D&D diagnose the issue and fixed it within 4 hours, bad coil causing the cylinder to misfire. Great price and would highly recommend them.
I cannot recommend D&D enough. They are courteous, friendly and professional. I brought my car in recently for what I thought was a minor issue - not only were the staff at D&D extremely helpful in looking at it straight away, but when it turned out to be not such a minor issue (and in fact pretty serious, requiring virtually the whole engine to be replaced!) they immediately recommended I take it in to the dealer where the repairs would likely be covered under warranty. They wouldnt accept any money, despite spending almost an hour looking at the engine and giving me four quarts of oil to get me from their shop to the dealer (the car was not safe to drive more than a few miles!). One of the mechanics even offered to give me a ride to my next engagement, since the car wouldnt make it. I couldnt believe the level of honesty and kindness - rare in this day and age - D&D thoroughly deserve their excellent reputation and I recommend them to everyone in the Leesburg/Ashburn area.
First and foremost I am not exactly sure why there are 1 star reviews on here about the service. I have been going here for about 2 years now and D&D Automotive have always been friendly, kind, and honest. The front office is very friendly and professional.I cannot recommend D&D enough to anyone who wants great service without having to go to a dealership that will charge you an arm and a leg. John the owner and his team are VERY knowledgeable about all kinds of vehicles. I owned an Acura and Subaru WRX which were both worked on for repairs and regular maintenance. My brother and uncle both own a BMW and have been worked on by D&D. Our cars are running flawlessly. If you live near the Leesburg/Ashburn and need mechanical services or diagnoses on your vehicle please dont think twice about bringing your vehicle to D&D Auto. They are very honest and will upfront let you know regarding anything with your vehicle.
Im not sure what all the other reviewers are referring to when they say fair prices...? One of my brake calipers was sticking so I dropped it off there after hours. I provided the parts, brake pads and rotors for all 4 wheels. Ive had issues with this cars brakes in the past and wanted them installed correctly and figured Id start fresh with all new. I opted to not take it to Koons Ford (the vehicle is a Ford) or Virginia Tire & Auto out of fear the prices would be crazy. I called D&D in the morning to explain what I wanted done. They called me back a few hours later and confirmed yes we think it needs a new caliper, I asked the total for the brake install labor (which was half done at this point) along with the caliper part & install - $980.00. I thought it seemed very excessive for a brake job. I asked the price of the caliper - $260.00. I asked if I could provide the part. They said they usually dont do that and it automatically would void the warranty of the work (even if provided new) but she eventually agreed. I found the part at Advanced Auto for $58. (This only makes me wonder how much they are marking up the rest of their services) At end of the day after running around to gather and provide parts it cost me $614.77 in labor ONLY. I called Koons Ford and asked them what it would cost to do a user parts provided brake and rotor install along with the driver side rear caliper. Total - $374.00 for a difference of $240.00! Virginia Tire and Auto was slightly more than Koons, but both were far cheaper than D&D. Nothing against the mechanics but I doubt the young fellas working at D&D are certified Ford (or anything for that matter) techs. Just not sure the premium Im paying here. I learned the hard way.Summary: Call around before taking your vehicle anywhere and ask for estimates. If anyone is worth their weight they will break off a price fairly quickly without hesitation.-D&D Price: 614.77-Certified Ford Service Center: 374.00-Virginia Tire and Auto: ~ 430.00 (He wouldnt give me a firm price on the caliper but said about that)
A rumbling sound from the rear passenger side tire of my vehicle was diagnosed by another mechanic shop as a faulty hub assembly. I took the new hub assembly to D&D to have them replace it, thinking that this was the problem. They said Let us check it out and we will give you a call to let you know what we find Twenty minutes later they informed me that all I needed was a new tire. They saved me money and a headache. I will always go to D&D whenever there is a repair that is beyond my abilities. I even trust them over the dealership. #RealTalk
I have found a new mechanic here at d&d. Reasonable, honest and very capable.
A worker named mike has a terrible customer service attitude, he is a racist and uses profanity without any shame.I wouldnt recommend anyone to have his car serviced there as long as mike works there.
Great guys and honest service. Thanks for a job well done on my Xterra.
D&D has done a lot of work on our Honda nd Acura. Definitely the best value and they are honest.
Always kind and accommodating with the greatest customer service!
I got the run around from POHANKA Lexus, telling me the catalytic convertor needed to be replaced. I had the work done believing them and the next day the same problem reoccurred. They would not honor their work saying it was the other side, and it would be another 1500. Needless to say, I brought it to D&D and they did the REAL testing finding it was simply and O2 sensor. I will always use them for future repairs and suggest others to drop their dealerships and follow suite.
While my car is running again, Ill tell you how they lost the other 3 stars. First Star: Blew through two estimates, and charged much more than my mechanic, $120 per hour. Second Star: estimated it would take two days, kept it for eight. Third Star: while Mike was friendly and professional, the owner was rude and treated me like a common criminal when his payment system didnt work. I wont be going back.
Not satisfied at all...gelt ripped off
