Wow. Talk about bad. This place isn’t to help anyone but themselves. I have been paying my child support since my wife and I separated, trying to do the right thing. Now they are saying that they don’t recognize it because I didn’t go through them even though it was noted, by the judge, that I had been paying. They say they consider it all a gift because I didn’t go through them. So what do they do? They helped themselves to my checking account, and when it didn’t clear right away they give me 2 days to play the full amount since May. It is now August 31. I paid it bc I had no choice but the charge from my bank account still stands in addition to what I paid yesterday. My ex still hasn’t seen a dime from them. Their website is nearly non-functioning as is their App. To boot, they treated me like a deadbeat dad and was very disrespectful when all along I have been doing the right thing. Unwilling to help. Moving to a snail’s pace. I’m not even going to go into the fact that the child support rates are ridiculous. The child tax credit is a fixed rate so why isn’t child support? So so bad. If you are a male, don’t even bother calling these people. They will not help you and treat you badly.

Have always had pleasant encounters with the ladies in the office. Very helpful in assisting with my questions. Even messages online are answered promptly.

My ex is working at his own business and they will not help me change the order. So basically he is making good money and I’m not getting anything..thanks for NOT helping!

My boys mom hasnt paid anything in 8 months plus she owes $40,000.00 in childsupport. When ask if anything is going to be done to her. They said Im the one who has to get a lawyer and take her to court. When I first went to the magistrate the judge ask me why I havent paid childsupport. I was so stun. She thought I had to pay even though I had custody. Didnt even look at the court papers just accused me right off. The system is rigged for a man. And the childsupport place is only for them selfs. While I raise my three boys by myself and struggle I see I will never get help.

Every time i have spoken to someone regarding my case, each person has been beyond sweet and helpful. they have no control whether or not individuals receive payment, they just pass the funds along. i understand repetitive late payments are frustrating, however it is not the employees fault. maybe i have just been lucky and gotten ahold of a nice person, but never have i had outstanding issues with the staff.

They went after my ex when he reached a certain back money amount. They’ve been great ever since with enforcement action and consistency in helping me receive payment. Also, most of these reviews are people complaining because they’re being made to pay. CSEA has nothing to do with custody or visitation either.

Going on month 13 and still no child support payments, even though the noncustodial parent is perfectly willing to pay. We had enforcement in a different state which you would think would decrease the waiting period (no hearing needed, paternity established, etc) but this has taken exactly 10 months longer than the initial process. Also, my case manager doesnt return calls. Maybe they need lower case loads or maybe she just doesnt want to hear me. Horrible experience all around. Considering getting a lawyer for this situation.

If I get a job making more money, they automatically adjust my support order. However, if I lose my job I have to notify them in writing and then request an administrative review, which requires me to submit numerous documents regarding my financial status and history and takes them a substantial amount of time for them to process.

If I could give negative stars, I would. To start from the beginning...my ex never had anything to do with my son until I asked for child support....this was after years from his birth. When I asked for child support, he became involved (at least his parents for his weekends). He had a drug and violent history (documented in court). The point in my life when I had extreme financial hardship, Warren County CSEA was so lazy they just denied any child support review I asked for (the father paid nothing despite me sending news releases of a bar that he was an investor for one never reported this income to CSEA). This resulting in my having to leave my son..5 years later after fighting hard to recover from this tragedy, I saved money to turn myself in so I can pay a purge amount and start making payments. Oh but wait, after doing this, they came after me and took every single penny in my bank account. Are you kidding me? I came to you and I am making payments. They would rather me be in a place where I cant make payments and cannot survive. I was better off hiding. I was only put back into the same situation I was 5 years ago that I fought to get out of..DO not try to work things out...THEY DO NOT CARE!!! HIDE AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!! I came to them to make things right paid over $7k in one month and they took every penny I had putting me in a spot that I cannot make payments on a monthly basis for a while!!!! Hide Hide Hide!!!! I was better off. Want my son back and for that motivation, I came out and tried to make things right...They will interfere with this, Stay hidden until you can pay off all back payments. They do not care about anything, making payments and purges and turning yourself into jail to make a purge payment means nothing to them,....Again HIDE UNTIL YOU CAN PAY IN FULL>>>>THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE. We are easy targets and they are too lazy to find people that do not want to pay so they try to play hero with people paying and trying to make things right!!!!! Also, when I called into child support, I was told as long as I make my payments, I would be fine and nothing would be seized. She told me that my case worker would have to go in and search which would not happen if I make payments. When I called in after everything was seized ( a day later after I made a $900 payment) the other person said that it was automatic. Someone is lying and I believe it is my caseworkers relationship with my sons father. I am seeking the appropriate lawyer that has dealt with this.

First of all, to the people who try to write a review stating that the justice system is flawed and, they took my babies because you were deemed to be an unfit parent, this is not the place to do it or the agency. This is for Child Support ENFORCEMENT. This is regarding the pursuit of any deadbeats out there who abandon their children or the mechanics when it comes to garnishing your wages and what not.Im writing this because im tired of the way this place is ran. Its not so much the system as it is the ladies running the system.I get that this is 2017 and that there are so MANY unaccounted for parents in this world. However, that does not give you the right to automatically speak to every person who pays support like they are an absolute terrible person.The way the ladies that work in this building handle things with their attitude is absolutely disappointing.They have the, all men are pigs attitude and this attitude is even given to those parents who have their support taken from their payroll check, who pay on time every month with no gap or issue.This agency has lost sight of whats important, here it is.This program exists so that children may be fed, clothed and educated when their biological parents have decided its easier to raise them separate rather than staying together to do so (of course there are many other situations why support is enforced, im just naming for good parents out there).

Case worker never answered the phone and after 6 Mon never call me back eather. Every time I do get someone to answer a question. The answer is we cant help you.now my ex owes over $9,000 and they could care lessThis swamp needs to be drained

This agency is so messed up, never got to see a judge, they were running 2 hours behind, told us we could request a new court date because support was automatically set at minimum wage. when I requested the new date it was denied saying reviews were only done every 3 years. So now Im responsible for 9 months of payments at minimum wage when I was out of work and in and out of the hospital. Just recently started working and they take 50% of my bring home and the person who has my children has not even received the support payments. One of the relatives hasnt even gotten a card and I just called and they informed me that cards arent automatically sent, l.o.l.. Yes I understand they are my kids and its my responsibility, I just cant help getting upset considering my kids were taken for no reason and this wouldnt be going on if the woman that removed my kids had told me about the emergency stay hearing the day after she removed my kids. Ohios system is extremely messed up, one of my children is placed with someone who drinks and drives and my child actually told them about it, and he is still there and they just tried to give that person full custody of my son, c.p.s. are the ones abusing and neglecting my children

My exhusband owes back support of 19k! They do very little to enforce their order. In fact I tracked him down so they could attempt to serve him......seriously useless!!!! They collect their monthly fee and nothing else!

Im a single mom and this place is horrible with going after deadbest parents. Not only that but I have been asking for support enforcement and nothing is being done. Thanks to them and the useless father Christmas wont happen now.

They are better than some counties. But they’re still terrible at their job.

By far the worst child support agency in the entire state of Ohio. Money hungry and greedy. Unwilling to work with people. Very poorly managed.
