We were not told everything about the dog we adopted and we had an episode with our other dog that made her very timid until we brought the dog back to Alpha Dog. When we adopt a dog we should be told everything about the dog including if the dog is food aggressive. He was such a sweet dog other than that but we couldnt take the chance with our other dogs.In response to the owners reply. NO dog came charging into our yard after him this happened with our dog we owned. When we brought him back we were told the food aggression happened with other people that had taken him. The man that grabbed him aggressively was my dad that lived in the house and did it because he had gone after our dog. We did everything right and loved him like we should have and took care of him like we should have. I hope he can find a good home.

We just adopted our new puppy from Alpha Dog Rescue. It was such a positive and happy experience. Liz the owner is extremely knowledgeable and has a big heart for the animals. She has always been willing to adress any questions or concerns. Kelly was also able to assist us with understanding paperwork and helping with the adoption process. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Alpha Dog Rescue to anyone that is looking for a forever friend.

We rescued our Miss Molly 6 years ago. She was heart worm positive, so we have been back to visit Liz (and Sarah at the time) MANY times! Both were the BEST! Not only did we gain a new FUREVER baby, but we gained new friends as well. Recently, Molly injured her knee. We reached out to Liz for advise, and she actually got us in to see her Vet - and she went with us! We love Alpha Dog and Liz too! Keep doing all the wonderful things that you do for the many in-need dogs. Thanks Liz / Alpha Dog for the best dog a family could ever imagine!!!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Alpha Dog Rescue! They care about the dogs and making the perfect matches with people who will love and care for them. They find quality organizations who find and rescue these dogs - most from down South. Thank you for your hard work and devotion!

I have fostered for Alpha Dog Rescue for years. The owner Liz is an incredibly selfless, kind and patient person who has dedicated her life to saving abused, neglected and abandoned animals. If you are in search of a new best friend, Alpha Dog will assist in finding the right fit for you, but more importantly, the right fit for the dog. Do not hesitate to adopt from this amazing organization.

The owner completely misinformed us about the aggression in a blue nose staffy we adopted. This resulted in our female roommate needing to go to the hospital. Liz ignored all texts and calls and hung up on me two occasions when inquiring about some form of a refund.

Liz has been an animal lover her whole life. I’ve known her since we were kids. She works so hard to remove dogs from kill shelters and situations that are horrible and works with them to find them their “fur”ever home with deserving families. She is selfless and would do anything for animals.

I was adopted a dog and told he was in full health, had a valid health certificate, and was fine with dogs as long as he was introduced correctly. Told to give it 2 weeks before introducing him to other dogs as is standard after adopting a new dog.We had Buddy for 2 weeks. Just long enough to fall in love with him. In the first week, we found out he had e.coli and an infected lymph node. Tried to reach out to the rescue about it, and they never answered me.The second week, we go to introduce him to a trusted friends dog. Despite all of his body language showing play (ears up, tail wagging) the second he got within range of that dog he viciously attacked her. Clamped down thrashed and would not let go. It took 3 of us to get him off her. Two of us ended up with punctures in our fingers. We tried calling the rescue. Not a response. It took us driving the hour up there to get them to finally speak to us.They took the dog back after an hour. They refused to refund us, saying that they were controlled by some kind of Board. Would not give us the name or contact info for this board, instead stating they would submit our refund for us. I emailed all paperwork, vet bills, and notes from the vet stating that the dog was sick when he adopted them to us.Over the course of the next week, someone who had previously adopted the same dog for a night reached out to me when she saw the dog listed as up for adoption again. She informed me that the dog had attacked her dog immediately after meeting him, and gave the dog 20 stitches and a drain. She had made that very clear to the rescue when she returned him. They decided to not disclose that information to me at time of adoption.I got one phone call from a volunteer. In it, I was told to go after the vet who issued the health certificate (not my responsibility. they lied to you not me) was blamed for what happened, and was told that the rescue explicitly told me that the dog could not be around other dogs. (a lie, as shown by his listing Ive attached.) I was then told they would call me back with an answer. It has been weeks and I have not heard back. I would write this same review on Facebook, but it seems like I am unable to post anywhere on their page.
