My home has a 15 year old Waterfurnace geothermal system. During a routine checkup (it was a very late checkup, 4 years since the previous checkup) it was found that my own stupidity led to an internal water pump going bad (the water furnace has connections to allow it to preheat incoming water for the water heater). I had disconnected these connections while replacing a water heater, unknowingly allowing the pump to remain on. The assigned technician discovered the bad pump, and was able to get it fixed in a timely manner, as well as re-attaching the pre-heater in the Waterfurnace to the water heater. During this process the technician also discovered abnormally high water pressure due to a faulty water pressure regulator. The technician also arranged to have this fixed (my family misses the incredible showers. 130psi showers are a wonder) however this sort of water pressure leads to many things breaking if left for too long. I will not say that getting these things repaired was inexpensive, but I found that Comfort Solutions was very fair in their pricing. They were timely in their response, showed up for follow ups when they said they would, polite through the process, and knowledgeable in how to fix a geothermal unit and answered all my questions in an easy to understand way. I highly recommend them.

The company used to maintain my Williamson 5-in-one for years and then Gary Martin bought the company and when I bought my new Lennox he and his staff were rude. I was told by someone that knew the company that he has a reputation for having a bad temper so I have had my new Lennox furnace maintained by another company.

I have used them for years and they have been great. The very few instances of an error were fixed promptly at no cost. They have always been honest about how our machines are working and they never push us to upgrade, but will give warning if an upgrade will likely be necessary next year so we can budget for it.

We have been customers of this company for over 30 years, going back to the Williamson days. They have always provided great service and been very fair in their charges. Weve maintained a service agreement and have had a couple of emergencies. Comfort Solutions responded quickly each time and got our furnace, or A/C back up and running. We moved to a new to us house a few years ago and were happy to find that the previous owner, a local realtor, also had systems from Comfort Solutions. This year, our furnace started acting up. The technicians recommended that we talk to Gary Martin about a replacement. Gary recommended a new furnace over repairing our existing one. I trust Gary and his team, so we made the change. The new installation went great and happily, weve been warm all winter.

Professional | Value | TrustworthyWe recently moved to Cincinnati and purchased a home that needed a new furnace and air conditioning. Armed with my research from Consumer Reports, I began interviewing companies with the typical in home inspection and estimates. If theres one thing Ive learned about heating and Air conditioning its that *installation is everything.* I found Comfort Solutions from asking friends & family. I called and Scott J. came out and he not only answered my questions but went above and beyond in clearly explaining how their solution worked. I did not feel pressured or get that sales vibe. He offered three clear, straight-forward solutions. I carefully poured over my homework and felt confident going with Comfort Solutions.Everyone throughout the process offered the same family-friendly, honest approach. Mike B. impressed me the most with his experience in HVAC, electric, and plumbing. He never seemed too busy to answer questions and went above and beyond by helping me install a water heater. He has a gift for explaining complex things into bite size pieces I could understand.Comfort Solutions also filed all the warranty and rebate paperwork --one of many small things that add up. I would absolutely recommend them.___________________________________As a sidebar, the unit they took out was almost 50 years old and original to the house. Wow! It was in a tight spaced closet sized room. In other words, it was incredibly difficult to remove. No one complained. I was not charged extra. This was not the case with all other companies who gave estimates. They also helped me with a couple other projects unrelated to hvac and for that I am thankful.

Great company with excellent management, office staff and technicians. We recently purchased a new a.c. system and are very satisfied. They also service our older boiler heating system. They identified a problem, made recommendations and made improvements that previous companies said could not be done. I highly recommend them.

I have called the company to renew the contract. Got an appointment for a specific date. Then, day before service they called and said that they cannot accommodate us anymore until 2 weeks after. I told them that I noticed some water around the HVAC system. After many calls and discussions they said that they can send someone at 5 PM. I had to be at work for a hospital shift at 5:30 and I asked for an excuse to come to work at 6 or 6:30. The company never called at 5 PM and no one showed up. I called and they said that it will be 30 minutes and again no one shows up; I then call and they say that they dont have an estimate of time. I told them that I have to go to work and they said that they will call with an estimated time and again no one called until I called again. Then, they said that we can come tomorrow instead! which was the original date they canceled. this made me confused on how they cancel and then reschedule that same spot. So I lost 3 hours of my work for nothing and had stress related to uncertainty. After that, the tech was late the next day and when he came down he said that he is unsure about the water leak. I suggested that what if this is related to the water heater and he said yes maybe and I am not trained to maintain or diagnose a water heater. we have other people who does that. then I told him to call the office and see if someone for the water heater department can come at a later time to diagnose the issue and he said sure I will make sure to call them. This whole visit was less than 5 minutes. and he did not use any tool because he is not familiar with water heaters. I understood his honesty and directed him to the door. Then, he came back saying that the company asked him to come back to diagnose the water heater issue and I told him but you said that you dont know much about water heaters and I will call the office to clarify. The office did not want to discuss the issue with me and said that you have to pay a service fee and I said: why? he said that he is not sure about what could be happening and has not had experience with water heaters. Then the owner hanged up on me and said that not to call them and that I will be billed $98 for nothingIn summary:-Issues with scheduling - felt that they lack honesty (changing appointments, uncertainty, keeps you standby, and then gives you the same canceled appointment when you call again)-Issues with being on time-Lack of experience-No respect to customers by the office. The technician was a nice guy

I am very dissatisfied with my experience with Comfort Solutions! I went through Home Advisor to schedule an appointment to have my air ducts and vents cleaned, however shortly after scheduling the appointment for the next day I received a call from Holly at Comfort Solutions who told me that they didnt have availability for that time. I was unable to get an appointment until four days later. I took that appointment time at 9:00am on a Friday of my week of vacation. Thursday evening at 4:00pm, Holly called again to say that the technician couldnt come at 9:00am, it would be closer to 11:00am. I didnt receive this message until around 9:00pm. No one called again to confirm the change and no tachnician showed up at the scheduled time. At 10:30am, Holly called again to say that their equipment was not working and they would have to reschedule. I did not reschedule. I told her that I was going to go with another service provider. My entire weeks vacation was spent waiting for this service that never happened.

I went with Comfort Solutions when my AC went out because thats where our home warranty sent us, and Ive regretted it ever since. They came last Friday to diagnose the problem, which needed a part ordered that they didnt carry. I was told it would be Monday when it came in. We never received a call, so we called them Monday and they stated they couldnt find the needed part. Late on Tuesday, we called again to ask about it, and an hour later they found the part and said they would be back on Thursday to fix it. On Wednesday, we were told that they picked up the wrong part, and wont be able to be out until Friday. When I called them back, they said the part would be in Thursday, but when I suggested they come out Thursday evening after picking it up, she quickly changed her story, stating the part would be there Friday. They have made no effort to speed up the process and showed no concern. It has taken a week for a repair that should have taken a few days at the most. Dont trust this company to order the correct parts in a timely fashion. Well see if they actually show up on Friday as promised.

Comfort Solutions came to my home when the HVAC system went down. It was 38 degrees and the situation was miserable. I had bought the condo three months before and I had a new home owner warranty that came with the purchase. Comfort Solutions did an unbelievably great job in diagnosing my problems. They contacted the warranty company and due to their excellent documentation the warranty company agreed the entire system needed to be replaced. The warranty company ordered a new system and I expected Comfort Solutions to install it on Friday. On Thursday at 8:30 am the office called and said they could get the equipment in 30 minutes and he at my condo to install it at 10:30 am....a full day before I was expecting it!!! The service guys stayed until 7:30 pm that night to get my system installed and to explain how to run it and maintain it. They cleaned up well, and were very polite and helpful. They were awesome!!!!

After a month plus of emails, and several well be in touches no one showed any interest in providing services I required for a residential radiant flooring project. Must be nice to be that busy. In any event, I am looking elsewhere. If I could post w/o a star, I would have. Actually I have since found out it was a series of internal snafus, they were not ignoring potential business. But I still will only provide one star due to the comedy of errors in just trying to communicate. It makes me wonder what would happen during the course of a project.

I called to get estimates on my furnace and the lady, I believe her name was Holly, basically told my wife one thing then told me another. Being that my wife knew very little about furnaces and I knew more than I cared to know about furnaces because I was in the process of having a new one installed, I knew what she was telling my wife wasnt correct. Then when I asked her about what she was telling my wife, she proceeded to tell me Oh, its only like $400 more for this type of furnace as if money wasnt an object. I understand trying to up-sell, but when a customer politely declines the offer, you should accept that instead of insisting they change. My furnace had been sufficient and worked great for 25 years until the heat exchange failed on it so I didnt want to upgrade and need to do more work on the install just to get a more efficient furnace. I explained that we will be moving soon and didnt want to spring for the more efficient furnace, but Holly wasnt having it. It was for this reason that we went with R&W Heating, which I must say did an outstanding job and for a very reasonable price.

This company is either inept or they are rip-off artists.I’ve waited 3 summers before leaving this review to give them the benefit of the doubt. In July 2015, this company was hired by my warranty company to replace a fried component on my HVAC.The following year, May, 2016, I got my usual service company to perform the Spring maintenance and they told me according to their readings, the system was under-charged. I said that was impossible as this was just repaired and they suggested I call the company that performed the service.I called Comfort Solutions and they came out to test the system and they claimed that their reading indicated that not only was my coil bad but also that I should replace my TXV (thermal expansion valve) to the tune of THOUSANDS of dollars. They charged me for the diagnostic to boot.I called my company back and because they are actually capable and I trusted them and they wanted to be thorough and provide good customer service, they checked for leaks for free and reiterated that there was no way the numbers were indicating anything other than an undercharged system.Called Comfort Solutions back and told they stood by their completely incorrect and rip-off position. Why do I say this?My company was so confident in their diagnosis that they made me the following deal: they offered to charge the system and if it ended up not fixing the problem or it ended up being something else they would refund me everything.Guess what: in May 2016 they charged the system and my HVAC has run flawlessly for 3 whole summers.Comfort Solutions wanted to charge me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for a problem that didn’t exist. Also, since replacing the parts they wanted to replace would require re-charging the system, there would have been no way to prove what the root cause was.Stay FAR FAR FAR away from this company. They charged me for the diagnostic and I paid the other company to charge the system. These guys are terrible. If the company doubts this story or claims anything of the like, I still have their diagnosis sheet where they recommend this action. If these items needed to be replaced how do they explain 3 years of running flawlessly in extreme heat when I keep my house at 68 in the summer.I do not want this company to contact me at all. I chalked up the $100 lost for the fake diagnosis and the money I had to pay to recharge the system properly as water under the bridge. For those wondering, I waited to do the review until after a few summers thinking maybe they were right and the parts would fail. I was doing some document cleaning this weekend and found their estimate and figure there’s no way the unit could have functioned flawlessly with bi-annual checks if something was wrong.

Hired them to locate a leak in my HVAC system in Feb. They charged me $384 to find and repair the leak and recharge w/ 410a. When the HVAC system showed the same symptoms in May I called them back out. ALL of the 410A had leaked out despite being told it was fixed. I was charged another $200 to refill the 410a (ouch!), but was not charged a service call. I called them back out a month later in June b/c I was seeing signs of more coolant leakage (oily residue). I was told in June the pressure levels were still good and there was no leak (despite the evidence). Well, by the end of august nearly all the 410a had leaked out yet again. I paid these guys nearly $600 to fix the leak, but it was never fixed. They warranty their work for just 30 days. So if you have a slow leak (like me) you wont know if the issue was really fixed until after the very short warranty period has expired.By the way, Comfort solutions also installed this system less than 2 years before I called them about this issue.

Hired this company because thats who our home warranty had us use. They replaced the air handler as part of our heat pump system. This spring when we went to turn on the AC the unit would not cool the house. Comfort Solutions came back out to see what was going on, said we was 1lb low on refrigerant. So I paid for their visit plus the 1 lb. of refrigerate. Still would not cool house. After several weeks of trying to get them back out to look at my unit they finally showed up. After 5 hours of trying to fix my unit they could not figure ouy what was wrong. Called later and said I would have to replace my heat pump outside to match my new indoor air handler. My warranty was up so this would have to come out of my pocket. ($2800) After 2 months of back and forth with this company I was fed up so I called a local company to come out. Within 1 hour I had AC. Comfort Solutions had put the WRONG VALVE in so it was restricting the amount of refrigerate in, on top of that they had hooked up the wiring from the thermostat to the air handler wrong. I was running heat and AC at the same time, no wonder my heating bill was so high in the winter. Wrote them a letter explaining and ask them to at least pay the bill for the other HVAC company since it was there mess, NO REPLY BACK, NO APOLOGIES, NO NOTHING. They say they care about their costumers but they sure didnt care about me and my familyThank God for Wilken Heating and air in Hillsboro or Id be out $2800 to Comfort Solutions. Wilken Heating and cooling bill only $300
