Employee at the front very nice helpful and knowledgeable. Employees in the lot are are not so nice. One employee got mad at me for waiting for vehicles to backup using vulgar language. Even tho nobody is giving any guidance. Very unprofessional, unfortunately 1 bad experience ruins it for all the good experiences I have had.
I give one star to the compost obtained at the dump. Although a great price, it is highly deficient in nutrients and must be amended greatly for anything to grow well. I made this mistake this spring and lost almost 80% of my garden. By the time I recognized the problem, many of my seeds and early starts were lost. You get what you pay for. would not suggest this compost for garden or flower growing.
This place is a dump. Very trashy place but the food was good 😃
Most people dont go to the landfill on a regular basis, and most dont pull a dump trailer there either. Im like most people. The operators directed me to where you unload dump trailers, in a very respectful way. He got out of his equipment and talked with me. Didnt just yell down from his equipment. Very respectful. Thank you professionals for a job well done.
We were in and out super fast, it was so easy to dump our stuff.
It was busy but we were still in and out quickly.
Super cheap and easy for Davis county residents.
Signage is great. You know exactly where to go.
Efficient, friendly, easy access, as clean as it gets for a landfill!
I visit almost daily... easy in and out. Organized. They charge by weight for dump trailers, but single axle trailer or pick up load are only $5. That’s cheap. I dump green waste often, but when I need to dump general rubbish I take the pick up truck and dump on the concrete pad. If you haul trash in a dump trailer they will send you into “the pit” and then your truck and trailer will smell horrible for days...but that’s just the way it is.
For Davis County residents it is only 5 bucks for a pick up load. The Ladies at the scales are always friendly and helpful. The way they have the refuge dump area organized provides a productive trip every time.More counties should be like Davis.
Well landfills go its very clean and tidy I would recommend going there to anybody and they have a pretty cool little second hand store great place to take older used chemicals
The landfill is organized and kept clean. Probably the best one Ive visited.
Oh the cheeseburgers are to die for! One of the best restaurants in Utah... Just kidding its a dump what you looking for? In and out quick got rid of some garbage. Wear your sunglasses it gets windy and you will get something in your eye every time.
Great place to dump your trash. Personnel are courteous and personable.
4 flat tires in a row! Every time I show up the pad is pretty much empty, yet they now make dump trailers go to the active landfill. Which is a nightmare. I know its posted not liable for damages but come on. Do a better job grooming, pave a pad up there. Give a significant discount for the risk you put us in of damages. If there were any other place close to go dump we would. We are very regular customers but lately feel very under appreciated. And tires arent cheap! Find another option for dump trailers cause this is a joke. Would be 1 star but the scale house staff are always great so they get a star.
They were fast and efficient. Went on a Saturday expecting to wait in line for awhile. But was in and out very quickly.
Always great service. They go above and beyond to help the process go fast.
They get you in and out quickly. Nice place considering it is a landfill. Clean dump areas.
It was very windy today trash was flying all over. The loader operator gets way to close to cars and trucks wheveas in and out and behind people also cars
Easy dump for dumpster trailers.
Love it. Best place to spend Saturday. For a dump it is very clean and efficient.
Inexpensive and convenient
It was amazing! My family and I loved it so much, we went three times in one day! Definitely worth the price.
Easiest trip Ive ever had to the landfill! Keep up the good work!
It was perfect besides the price...40 bucks for some logs and 4 pannels of a wood fence. And this was after the wind storm so 97 percent of my weight should have been free because they were chargeing people at this time for green waste.
Even helped me unload a little. Had 3,000 lbs of dirt. Good people there.
Simple, fast and love the speed limit sign.
Great, quick easy to get into and out of. Its a land fill and convenient.
The best compost on (from) the planet. Thanx....
Great service, easy to get to and free for green waste, until this Wednesday.
Excellent service and cheap too! One of the few times saying what a dump is a complement!
Just pick up a flat trailer tires. Im so hapé!
They consider rocks and roots not part of green waste. Last time I checked and according to Google it is considered green waste. It was a waste of money thats for sure!!!! When you can go else where and dump for free. They should tell you if its considered what your intending to dump!
I go to there hazardous waste site all the time for dropping off antifreeze and other fluids from my vehicles that I cant take anywhere else. Its super fast and is free to drop off.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Landfill, which gets a good share of its support from Davis and Morgan county residents, is closed to those residents whos taxes support their operation. They are only open for their commerical clients.Perhaps it has something to do with social distancing? Except the landfill normally is one business who always operates with social distancing. You show the lady in the booth your drivers license, pay your money and they wave you in. The employees who direct you where to dump your load, never get within 10 feet of you. Yet they find in necessary to close due to Covid 19. What a joke.
They were very busy, but very efficient.
Your hours say 6:00, the gate shut in front of me as I was approaching it. They guy said It closes automatically at 5:00 and I cant do anything about it. Lets an employee through after I backed out. Your employee didnt have to lie to me. Guess Ill just have a friend with a Bountiful ID go with me to the landfill down this way next time.
Alawys been good, no issues, employees are fast and courteous
Employees are friendly and organization is very well done. Addwd bonus for selling dirt and wood chips!
Some people! Lol. Some people need to use common sense, and KNOW the difference between COVERED LOADS, and say: weighed down loads, strapped down loads, or anything other than a clear and simply put COVERED load. Its not rocket science, and it truly helps to keep this clean facility cleaner as much as possible. I appreciate the efforts taken to keep this clean, so I dont have to worry about running over, or trying to dodge around someone elses refuse! From: a very satisfied customer!
Great clean convenient place to take all waste
Very efficient at getting us in.
Great facility. Well organized and easy. There’s a sign going in that clearly states that if your load is uncovered there will be a fee. COVERED, not strapped down. The people complaining about the fee obviously didn’t throw a tarp over it.
This place is garbage
Great place to dump😘
The food was terrible but the service was amazing.
A great place to get mulch!
Easy and some of the crew were helpful at unloading
Was stinky but enjoyable. Met the love of my life, Moppy.
Good people were nice and helpful
The best landfill.Ive been to landfills and transfer stations all over Utah and Wyoming, and one in Idaho. Its great to be home and to the best landfill.
Best place to get mulch.
Microwaves need to be dropped off with the trash and dont go to electronic recycling.
Great place to dump whatever you have. Definitely would recommend to everyone
I💝the dump experience
Well run and cost effective
Very nice facility and the employees were helpful! Price is fair for the Davis County residents. Thanks for the service you provide.
Nice set up, easy dumping.
Quite a line at 4:45PM 15 minutes before it closes on a Saturday, but it moved quick and was very well organized. Only ended up spending $5 for a whole load, which I was pretty happy with too.
Even for a dump, it was a DUMP!
EXTREMELY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEE. ALSO, CHARGED ME $15.00 FOR NOT COVERING LOAD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS COMPLETELY SECURE. I never do this, but I just got back from the landfill, which I have been going to all my life (30+ years) and had the WORST experience. I pulled in with a truck full of patio doors, a couple huge TV boxes (one of which had a tiny piece of a large Styrofoam block that was poking out of) and some solid wood doors and shelves. The load was COMPLETELY secure. I pulled up with my drivers license and $5.00 bill ready, and handed it to her. The lady looked at my load, dropped her jaw and said you need to have a cover on that, it is insecure I looked back at it and said, it is all large, heavy stuff and completely secure, i see a piece of styrofoam she says. the styrofoam has a completely solid wood door sitting on top of it. that will be $15.00. $15.00?!, I have been coming here for many years and this has never come up before, this is the first time I have come through since the new policy, cant you just give me a warning or something? then, in an EXTREMELY rude, sassy, bullying manner $15.00 right now, or you drive back home, cover it and come back. The information has been on our website and policy has been enforced since June. $15.00 right now or go get a cover on it, whats it going to be? I was totally taken back. The way she said it was rude beyond words. I cant remember the last time I was spoken to so rude. I wanted to call her the word I felt best described her at that time, but I did not. I gave her $20.00, she gave me my $5.00 change, and I drove on without saying a word.I dont really care about the extra $10.00, what I do care about is how unjustly rude I was treated, and the principle behind me being charged more because this employee had a different definition of secure load than I did. If my load was tons of lose garbage, I wouldnt have asked for a warning, it would have been deserved. But I did not lose so much as a blade of grass traveling to the landfill today. I always make sure my loads are secure, just as it was today. I did not deserve to pay the fine or be treated so disrespectfully. I hope to never deal with this rude employee again. I wish I could say that Ill never be back, but Its the closest landfill and Im sure I will. I have filed a complaint with the landfill about this employee, and hope they act accordingly with some training on how to treat others or termination.Jordan Checketts
Awesome place!! No muddy roads! Quick in and out!
Rude staff, was charged an uncovered load fee even though my load was strapped down. Contacted the manager of the place Nathan Rich, he was no help but he did change the website to better describe the rules of the facility after I contacted him so he didnt have to refund me. He also stated I didnt strap my load down and tried to prove it with this picture I attached .
Happy to see the new road. This will make things more convenient for a lot of people.
They dont recycle cardboard, aluminum, newspaper, glass, or plastic anymore. The thrift store at the entrance said we either have to pay to take it to the landfill or try the place by the job corps on Antelope Drive in Clearfield...
Recycling center is awesome for dumping old automotive oil, coolant etc. Dont ever put this stuff in the gutter!
Nice friendly staff.
Cleanest dump Ive been to, well organized.
Clean, well managed and the nicest, most helpful employees!
Windy
Its relatively cheap, you pull in, wait in line, unload, and they shove it off the cliff as you drive away.
$5 to get rid of a trailer full of trash. Perfect.
Dropped off a fridge and oven. Well organized facility.
Always friendly even on crowded days
Very coordinated and nice.
Kind of a dump but its okay. Meant that as a pun just so everyone knows ha ha!
$25 fee for non-residents.
Very well run
Busy for a Saturday
