I called the Layton office to set up an appointment to update the drug screening and background paperwork so I can work for the SLC office and thats what they need to go over jobs with me. I show up for my appointment, they have me do the paperwork and then I inquire about the drug test. The girl in the office said we dont technically have to give you a drug test since we havent offered a position yet I had to call the SLC office to email the Layton office asking to give me the drug test. It was very unprofessional and very rude. The office isnt that busy, the bathroom is open and yet they helped everyone else coming in while I waited over an 1 after my appointment (which I confirmed I needed a drug screening when I made it) just to wait for an email to be sent for my basic drug screen!

Isabella was such a great help! Finding me a job same day! Matt was also was a great helping throwing out options that would work best with my experience. Ann, was a bright face! Very welcoming! I enjoyed all the people I met it was awesome experience!

Matt was assertive and called me back once approval for rehire was approved and the following day Isabella did a great job setting me up properly to update my profile! Very professional and funny staff.. highly recommend. Too bad Elwood itself isn’t hiring i love the environment their staff brings its my kinda comfort zone!

Elwood staffing was the best staffing agency Ive been to. The employees running the layton location were extremely professional and very helpful. The environment is welcoming and inspiring. Stephanie, Isabella, coraima, and Ann exceeded my expectations of what I was hoping to achieve with the agency. I highly recommend this location to assist with employment and I recommend everyone to refer somebody to them. The building was clean seasonally decorated and I dodnt experience complaining, anger or any negative responses from staff or anybody using the services. And to the boss I recomend a raise in pay for the staff they go above and beyond what other agencys do.

I did not receive good customer service from the receptionist when I called the Elwood Staffing Layton office. There was a lot of passive aggressiveness when I was calling to just check in. The receptionist may hear the same questions from different people each day but that is no reason to be rude to a job candidate. Not impressed.

Very rude and unprofessional they sent me on a position and didnt pay me for all my hours there is no one around to confirm the hours I worked if you like working for free then this is the place for you. When I called and talked to them about it they put me on hold on mid sentence then told me they would have to call me back because they were busy with customers then what am I? 😠

I was working with crystal trying to find a job. She was great. The one time I called because I couldnt do the job because of my back she was not in. I ended up talking to some younger girl in the office that was very rude. I asked her a question about pay and why other agencies got paid more. Thats when she became vulgar and rude and preceded to tell me that it is against the law to talk to other employees about wages (which its not. Do your research hunny). Only reason 2 stars is because crystal was very awesome and caring. Even tho I never heard back from them after that phone call. But if you want to earn more for same job, shop around at agencies.

Then I spoke to elwood and because I didn’t call them they put a no call no show. That’s messed up when I went through the correct steps. Never going through them again.

Terrible staffing agency. Unprofessional. You will either end up working for free or under conditions that can sometimes be extremely uncomfortable and have no one to turn to. Do not expect a lasting career with them because their business runs primarily on a revolving door of people desperate for work. Please do not waste your time as I did.

I thought they were supposed to help me. I spent so much of my time taking tests like math for cashiering or money countency. I thought I had a part time cashier job through a local company. I do not know why I was not pucked for it. Heck, if you get 90% or better on tests and they are supposed to help you land a job but dont, what good is it or this company if they truly cant help you but help you waste valuable time? I called this morning to follow up and it was just a joke..they always say have nothing for you and the jibs they do have are apparently not good. Im disappointed...I thought they were a good organization.

My name is Jordan Child. On April 8th 2019 they sent me to a job working for kroger/smiths. I was extremely disrepected there and I was never even introduced to one supervisor, let alone even shown where a bathroom, or drinking fountain was. I was not told when breaks would be at. Also there was no training to do the job. When I came back to the Elwood to explain what had happened one of their staffers named Mike was short with me and acted as though they had never had that issue before, and that it was my fault. They never explained that the job might be hostile and I felt that they did not care at all about my terrible experience. They did not ask my name simply said they know who I am, took my equiptment back and walked away. Do not be fooled by smiling faces they do not care about their employees. I would highly recomend going to a different staffing agency as this is not my first bad experience with this place. Also while I was in there getting a rundown of the jobs I overheard another staffer chewing out another one of their temps and hanging up on them. If you want to be respected as a person simply go somewhere else.

I also sat through several hours of testing and passed all of it then they sent me out to a job at a rebar proessing facility I was working on the following Saturday and noticed several employs smoking inside the facility and was very displeased so I finessed my shift and did not go in Monday and called Elwood to report the indoor clean air act violation and they told me that because I did not go in that they were putting it on my file as a bad reflection ding and probably wouldnt be able to help me find work anymore and that I should have consulted my Elwood hand book wich I did not ever receive and it would have told me that Elwood had a 24/7 phone number that I should have called and told them which no one ever told me about
