Less choices than expected and somewhat mediocre even for buffet food. I have had better buffet dining experiences at Old Country Buffet and other such establishments. The shrimp and roast were good, the service friendly.

Food was great. So many things to choose from. Very clean and great staff.

From the Salad, Hot Rolls, Different Hot Good Food, & than Top it off with a Wonderful Dessert. Good $ Great Food

The food there was hot and their service was phenomenal. This location is the best Golden Corral I have been to. I have been through them in California and Arizona and now Utah this location definitely is the best!

We have visited this location 3 times and will definitely be back. The food is generally cooked very well, it has a wide selection, and the staff are particularly friendly. One time we showed up just a few minutes before closing and it seemed like the entire restaurant waited on us patiently trying to make sure that all of our needs were met. We never felt rushed or anything like that period period that says a lot about an establishment… how they treat their customers at closing time.

Curbside pickup was nice! Food was great!

2nd Best Buffet to the City Buffet in Roy, but still amazing. Love the selection and the staff. I helped volunteer here once with a company helping Disabled Veterans and raised some money for the cause. Ive also come as a casual customer prior over the years and love the Corral Family Team that helps bring the fun experience to light. I got memories in this place from when I was little until now and Id never forget those memories, I cherish them. Thanks GC for being so memorable and savoring!

We love going to eat here. Ophelia is the best waitress, we like to say hello even when she isnt serving us. My favorite thing is the banana pudding.

It was great. The server was great keeping our glasses refilled. The food was good too. But I was so full from dinner I didnt have room for dessert.

Food was good and everybody was generally very nice to me and my group, but I did have a very unsavory interaction with one of the managers I believe. I think her name was stephany. I had a simple question and was met with one of the rudest replies I’ve received from another manager. I’ve worked in the food service industry as a secondary source of income while I was in college and while I had my bad days, I always managed to keep a pleasant demeanor when addressing customers. Whatever question I had, it was so minor I can’t even remember what it is I had asked. Either way, the rest of my visit was a great time, props to the waitresses and cashiers, and even the cooks for having such a great attitude when their job is 10 x more difficult than playing manager. I have to give it 3 stars for that. Would visit again if it weren’t for her.

Today was a new low even for golden corral! The taco shells were gone and the cheese, onions, and peppers were empty at the taco bar and I had to ask for more which they took a look time to refill. The corn on the cob was inedible. The banana pudding was empty and no one to fill out. The hot fudge and hot Carmel was empty and no one to fill them. The soft serve vanilla iced cream was empty. There was no ice cream for scooping in the ice cream freezer. The crab salad was empty. All of this even though they werent very busy. It was hard to get our moneys worth, especially since they have raised their prices!

The brunch food was actually decent. Their BBQ pulled pork makes a GREAT taco with some pico, shredded cheddar and a dash of hot sauce!

A wide variety of mediocre food. But theres something for everyone. Love the seafood, stay away from the blueberry pie. The rolls are yummy.

Golden corral was one of the nicest buffets the place needs a major remodeling the place is falling apart I am handicap and had to use the toilet they were filthy....Golden Corral use to have the best meat cuts and steakes.... in town if you are a meat lover do not get me wrong but I want the Golden corral I like and love

The waitress and the front counter cashiers were very friendly I bought in a cake and we talked about and the waitress complimented my watch turns out we both had on the same brand. Very pleasant and definitely wil return.

We finally were able to make it now that covid19 restrictions are loosening. Gloves were available to wear when you went to the buffet bar and select your favorite items.For some reason the steak was extra delicious. Maybe not being there for almost 2 years had something to do with it.I will be back for more.

Our server was awesome. Had a really good service. But the food tonight was very disappointing. I asked medium for my steak to be cooked and the girl kept saying how is this every 30 seconds or so. But when I got to the table it still was rare. I dont think she knew what she was doing,this was Saturday night 4/24. Dessert was the the only thing that I enjoyed tonight which was unfortunate. Dont know if I will come back.

No clear instructions for what proper etiquette was for covid times. There were gloves out that I found later that I wished I had been pointed to to help ease the possible tension in the place. The servers/waiters were great though. They came and checked up on us frequently.

The food was not as fresh as it could be. The Mexican rice tasted like it was a left over from yesterday. The restaurant could be clearer. The blinds were covered it dirt and made you not want to look out the window.

Golden Corral is a great all you can eat buffet. Family/friendly oriented, customer service is moderate but the cleanliness of the restaurant could be better.

This is a good place to take your kids as they have many foods that they would like to eat and get full on. They have a range of foods that kids love to eat. The staff was okay but no one was upfront when we walked in and a couple was standing there waiting for someone to help them. They do give you gloves to use when you go get your food and they bring the plates to your table when you need them. Not a place I would choose to go to eat but if invited I would.

Their steak has gotten better over the last year or so. It used to be just ok but now I think it is better than sizzler which is definitely good for a reasonably priced buffet.

My family and I don’t usually go to buffet restaurants but the one we have liked the most when we have gone is Golden Corral. Most of the time we have gone there is for lunch and it does not have the shrimps and steak at that time so I would give it a 4 stars only for that. One benefit of going there at lunch time during the week is that there are not very many people if you go around 2pm.

Make sure you go as soon as possible. The earlier the better if youre into freshness

Less entries to choose from. Logans Chuckorama is much better. Coral doesnt have fluffy warm dinner rolls, mini steak burgers, and lots more deserts anymore.

Good food but not clearly labeled and the room atmosphere is somewhere between a hospital cafeteria and a middle school food court. Sizzler is more pleasant and offers beer.

DO NOT EAT HERE. YOU WILL LIKELY GET FOOD POISIONING. very first time eating here too, will not be coming back. everything was old and gross.

Cons: Every time we’ve gone the bathrooms smell like pig sty and someone’s had diarrhea. Whenever the bathroom doors open that smell joins the restaurant atmosphere. We were there on a weekday and some of the dishes did not look appetizing or were undercooked (shrimp, fish, cheese rolls). My kids complained of a tummy ache about a half hour after our meal and we did not feel hot either; mind you we do not stuff ourselves at buffets like some people.Pros: The serving staff is generally very friendly and attentive. Everything was great but then the dessert didn’t taste as good. The fudge leaves a bad after taste and the chocolate mouse was sickening after the second bite

This was the worst place Ive eaten at in years. Flies buzzing around the food, filthy walls behind the food, filthy bathrooms !!! My kids didnt even want to chance it. Im sorry but I think a call to the health department might be in order for this place. Weve eaten there before covid hit and its always been great but sorry folks not this time id rather brave chuck a rama

We were pleased with the experience! Golden Corrals virus spread prevention method is well run, and customer friendly with our health and convenience in mind. There was no hassle and hardly any delay in the process and it was clean. The service was friendly as always and manager follow up of our experience pleasing.We work hard to be able to have an evening out. More people should know about the hassle free adaption of virus spread prevention that this restaurant worked and works hard on for our satisfaction and star filled reviews. I think I enjoyed it much more with the process theyve incorporated.

Updated review. We got take out again and the steaks were disgusting! One steak was 90% fat and inedible. The other was just one giant uncooked gristle strip. See the picture. The only reason my review isnt 1 star is because everything else was ok.

So happy to dine in again, the staff are very friendly and attentive. They have disposable gloves that can be used when dishing up food, and the variety and quality of the food is the same as always.

The menu was different from the website, so there was little that my wife and I wanted. Also the precautions on the website werent being followed. Our server was amazing though and definitely made the trip decent.

The manager is not nice she arguing with customers the staff has a problem with women breastfeeding the gernal manager only talked to them and then just made the situation worse this place has gone downhill the steak was nasty and just like most of the food this place is horrible. Every other place does it so much more then just talked to the staff they have been giving the breastfeeding mom so much more dirty looks and not even coming to help take care of it of there table there waitress is also my waitress and she didnt even care to say anything else when I said something also and they dont care

I am giving this place a 3 1/2 & 4 star rating because the welcoming staff was not very friendly.She tried to charge me for my 6 month old and insisted again after I said no.The staff that manages the food made me feel like a burden when I would walk up to have pieces of the meat cut and or ask for desserts.The serving service was great, very on top of all her guest. She provided such a good service even my 10 year old was impressed.Food was very bland or over salted there was no in-between.

Friday Family Meals are the best. I found it extremely difficult to order the special on their website as they hadnt programmed in the right price. So, I called to make a pre-order (as suggested on the ad), but they told me I needed to call back closer to the time. I did just that and everything went smooth. I forgot to mention curbside, so I had to go inside to pick it up, but it was no big deal. The food was delicious and such a great price! Ill consider FFM more often.

Sitting at just under $15 a person, everything included. Foods fresh, quality is outstanding, services superb! Will definitely be coming back....

I went gluten free just a couple of minths ago and can always trust Golden Corral to be just the place that is allergy free for me and my mom, who has MANY other allergies if her own. It is her personal favorite place to go when eating out. Thanks Golden Corral for being so allergy friendly!

We go to the Layton Golden Corral regularly because of the variety of dietary restrictions for so many of our family members. There is SOMETHING for EVERYONE! The standards they have in place for the prevention of infection are the most comprehensive I have seen at any eating establishment we have been to since the whole Covid craziness started. I have no reservations about my safety while eating there. And if you really want the royal treatment, ask what area Kimmy is working and find a seat there. She is super attentive, has a wonderful, bubbly personality and truly goes above and beyond to make your experience a delight.

This place was sooooo disappointing the last time I went. We went at 11 AM after looking on their website and noticing that they did a breakfast buffet. We were very disappointed with the fact that it was the same food as usual. Though they do have a great variety of food; the employees were quite grumpy and the food was extremely bland and gross. I wanted to give GC five stars! I used to take my kids when they were younger. We loved loved it. Their beef stew is to die for! It’s always cooked perfectly and falls apart in my mouth. Their rolls used to be so good. Each of us had a favorite. Mine was the stewed beef, carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy. My sons favorite is their mac & cheese. Hit the spot every time. My daughter too loved the beef, Broccoli and fries.The last time I took the kids to Golden Corral was four years ago. And everything tasted fantastic. My husband has never loved Golden Corral. so I always took the kids myself.For Christmas, I bought a couple gift card for the whole family to visit Golden Corral. They were really really excited!As a family, we finally went. After we pay and sit, we grabbed our plates and dispersed to get what we love. The first thing I grabbed was a roll for myself and daughter. Potatoes and gravy, along with the fantastic beef stew. The stew was good! Unfortunately the roles were hard on the bottom. They didn’t taste fresh. They tasted like they where sitting all day under a warm lamp. Could not bite through the entire thing. My daughter was not happy about that nor my son. My son got the mac & cheese that he used to love. But he told me, “ I swear they change the recipe. It’s really gross mom. And the rolls are hard like rocks.“My husband got a baked potato As well as broccoli. His broccoli was dry and not fully cooked.Then came the deserts. . All of the other desserts where just, ok. You could tell that they have been using super low quality ingredients for their desserts as well as my son‘s mac & cheese. You could barely taste the cheese in the mac & cheese and it was dry.Overall total disappointment. But would return again if they upped their game. We spent $65 for three adults and one kid.My daughter only had one plate of items and my son had two. If the food would’ve been great I wouldn’t of complained of spending $65-100! But it was bad.

Excellent Saturday-Sunday Breakfast Buffet!

This is by far the best Golden Corral in Utah. I would highly recommend that you try it out. Im happy that they are open. Other Golden Corrals have come and gone, but this one is still here because it is far above the rest.
