My wife visited Lada and stated her experience was phenomenal. She loved her cut and color (which had a fancy name). This is the first place she’s been in a while she actually wants to go back to. (She was already the absolute most beautiful/best woman in the world so as long as she liked it I’ll give it 5 stars.)

The lady who cut my hair was fine. Not a hair superstar, though. It worked for me, but next time I’ll go back to my usual guy. Everyone was very nice and treated me very well. Great salon!

I paid $35 for a manicure that only included pushing back cuticles and painting my nails, no nail filing, no hand massage, no buffing. It looks nice but $35 for what I got was definitely not worth the price.

The distance from my wedding venue (from Downtown Lawrence all the way to the West) did not stop me because they had great service. Wende took all of my questions when I booked my appointment. Her hair and make-up stylist, Ashley, executed my look very nicely; I made clear what I wanted (a look that reminded me of my tropical roots that fit well with the summer), and then she added her recommendations to stunning, beautiful effect. The effect was gorgeous on both the make-up trial and the day of. My only gripe was that when she gets carried away, we take so long on the chair, but I also enjoy her company very much and learn a lot from her. Thank you ladies!

They are miracle workers who corrected my box-dye mistake! The prices are what you would expect for a private beauty salon, but its worth it, especially if you want to treat yourself to some pampering. They were professional and very clean, which is always important, and especially right now. They were also very welcoming and nice. I definitely will go back and recommend this place to others who arent just looking for a cheap cut.

David did very good job, but I was surprised with the cost I usually high light and low light round $120 and I got charged $156, I wish if he told me about the cost before he did it. Also, with this big amount of money I expect David to style my hair professionally but sadly he dry it with round brush fast. I am sorry I am not coming back,, if I am going to charge big amount I expect my hair to be style professionally

I had a wonderful experience with Christina at Lada!!! It was my first time having my hair colored and cut at this salon. Christina took her time explaining what would be best for my hair type for color and care, gave tips on styling, and I left there feeling great!!! So happy to have found an excellent Aveda salon and a stylist who definitely cares about her clients.

Soo, I just want to start off by saying the salon itself was nice and I have no complaints as far as customer service goes. I had a last minute event that I needed my hair cut and colored for and they got me in the next day. So I get there at 9:30 and my stylist is Caitlin P... sweet girl, but she doesn’t seem to know a whole bunch about hair, or so it seemed like. The whole time she kept asking me my opinion as if she was unsure of what she was doing, she didn’t seem confident off the bat and I should have just trusted my instincts and not have her do my hair. She was also really slow and kept dropping things... But, I had an event to attend and we were halfway done. So then, my hair is done and I notice it’s spotty.. like she got the color in the wrong spot, so I said something and she was unsure what to do, so I asked if we could get a second opinion and she brought over Brandon, the manager and he was so sweet and patient and fixed my hair. Thank god he was there! But to make long story short, I am use to paying anywhere between 200-300 for my hair, which I have no problem doing as long as it’s good quality. She should have told me she wasn’t comfortable doing it. Next time, I’ll be going to Brandon.

The stylist Catlin is very skilled and sincere about your hair. A superb job every time!

It took about 20 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I called in for an eyebrow wax, but they didnt do that. Instead they brushed my eyebrows and colored them. They looked good, but they werent waxed and it was just a weird experience.

I love having Ashley as my stylist. She is so skilled, and passionate about exceeding a customers expectations. She collaborates with me to achieve a great cut and color. Super glad she is there!

From the aesthetics to the team, Lada has it covered and is serving. From the moment I walk in, the experience is about ME and what I want. And not to sounds like a crazy selfish person, but it’s amazing! Brandon is super busy, but if you get lucky enough to book with him, you won’t go anywhere else I promise and I can’t imagine anyone else on his team not serving it!!

I walked in at 4:50 for my 5:00 appointment to be TOLD, not asked. Amy is running very behind so we decided it would be better for you to see Brandon. Amy is leaving in 6 weeks anyway so it would be better. I let the receptionist know that if Amy was running behind they could have called me. I specifically wanted to see Amy as she was highly recommended by a friend. If you want to OFFER me options that is great but please dont tell me YOU made a decision for me that is better. It was better for YOU not for me.

Prior to her death, my mom was a tremendous fan of Lada. I have never seen a styling salon go so far out of their way to accommodate an elderly client; to make her feel so welcome and appreciated. My mom referred all her friends to Lada and I refer many college students there, particularly those who are new to KU and need to re-establish services from their hometown. One cant go wrong with Lada.

Horrible experience, or should I say EXPERIENCES. I have gotten my hair highlighted for well over ten years now and went to Lada for a FULL highlight, however when I got home and pulled my hair up realized half of my head had not been touched at all. After going back to get it corrected two times, I was left with yellow hair, half still not even touched. I have never felt so rushed or ignored by a hair stylist in my life. Will never return. I advise you to check your hair fully before leaving, if you dare go there.
