Wes is the best therapist I have ever seen. He has truly changed my life and his entire practice is such a blessing. He’s the reason I am a still here today. If you are looking for a therapist who will go out of his way to help you, answer his phone at any hour of the day, and genuinely care about you as a person, Wes is your guy!
Kelly Hughes helped me so much with dealing with my life. She is honest and approachable and genuinely cares about you. Shes also very knowledgeable about people and knows how to make sessions productive without making them feel structured and claustrophobic. I also really appreciate that she has things for you to fiddle with, as that really helps me think and work through emotions. 11/10, I couldnt have wished for better.
Half of our massive family sees therapists here and they are truly amazing. I always tell people that Wes has saved my life, and Im not being dramatic. Between Wes, Tamara and Kelsey, we owe them for even the tiniest ounce of serenity in our house due to their amazing advice and therapeutic sessions - both for us and our kids! Ive tried different therapists before and none even come close to the awesomeness that Family Psychological Services provides. Cant recommend them enough!
I have been working with Dr. Wes for the past 17 years, ever since the birth of my first child. Hes seen me through some the darkest periods of my life. Given my genetics, my daughter also suffers from anxiety and depression. We did not hesitate getting her into therapy and there is no one I would entrust with her care besides Dr. Wes. I can not recommend him or his incredibly knowledgeable staff enough. Professional people who genuinely care about their clients.
Wes has become an indispensable resource for me throughout the past two years of my life. He as helped me overcome anxiety issues and made me proud of my sexual identity. He is passionate about his work and truly cares about his clients. I cant imagine making the progress I have with any other therapist. 10/10 would recommend.
Dr. Wes pulled me out of a really dark place while I was going through college. He has been there for me ever since, helping me push through some of the most stressful and disheartening times in my life. Dr. Wes has also been there to help me celebrate the victories, no matter how small. He has been someone I can bounce ideas off, and he can objectively contribute his opinion, which I have come to value very highly. I recommend Dr. Wes any chance I get. Even if youre not from the Lawrence area, I promise it is worth the drive.
I was referred to Dr. Wes by my physician for postpartum depression after the birth of my first child. That referral changed my life. I felt hopeless that I would ever emerge from my depression, but Dr. Wes has a remarkable ability to relate to his patients on a human, not just clinical, level and thats what I needed. He doesnt pull punches when theres something I need to hear, but I know its for my benefit and his compassion is evident. His honesty is both refreshing and insightful. I recommend his services without reservation.
My family and I have worked with Dr. Crenshaw for 7 years. I cannot stress how well he helped my kids negotiate difficult family relationships, work through typical teenage social developmental issues, and balance therapy work with medication for the best results possible. They knew Dr. Crenshaw as a guide and an advocate as they grew into amazing adults. His insights in teenage development, blended families, conflict resolution, trauma, and relationships helped give my family to tools to flourish despite difficult circumstances. I fully recommend his practice for help with family, divorce, relationship, identity, and personal issues.
Dr. Crenshaw and everyone who works in this office are fantastic at what they do. They approach every person in a unique way that is tailored to their specific situation. They are understanding and kind but firm in their convictions. I was very lost when I first came to this office. I was scared of the world and my place within it. Dr. Crenshaw and his team listened to me and found a way(something I thought to be impossible) to bring me back to life. I still get anxiety from time to time, but now I feel capable to handle it. Kelsey is also an amazing APRN and without her cooperation and patience I would not be as healthy as I am today. I thank this office over and over for my new power to understand and maintain my mental health.
I have known Wes Crenshaw for a number of years, having first contacted him for general information and advice about forensic child custody evaluations. Eventually, a contentious family law matter developed in which I represented one of the parents. My law firm hired Wes to serve as our expert witness about custody evaluations in general, and more specifically, to articulate to the Court the specific manner and methodology for an appropriate, unbiased evaluation in which custody of a child was at issue in the case at hand. Wess testimony provided valuable and crucial information and insight for the Court to consider in its determination of the best interests of the parents child. Wes was great to work with, and I always found him to be the consummate professional. I have learned much from my conversations with Wes over the years. My experience with Wes is that he is reflective, articulate, conscientious, and genuinely cares about appropriate processes and procedures when it comes to outcomes involving children. He has my unreserved recommendation.
Dr. Crenshaw runs an outstanding practice. Within his practice he has an amazing staff who all specialize in different areas ranging from eating disorders, ADHD, couples therapy, sex therapy, LGBTQIA, and beyond. Dr. Crenshaw and his staff all have degrees from well respected universities and continue to stay current and up to date with their education as the world continues to evolve.I have been a patient of Dr. Crenshaw for a little over two years now and he continues to be a vital source of support in my life. One thing I really appreciate about Dr. Crenshaw is he makes me feel heard and cared for in every session. Dr. Crenshaw is able to listen, support, give feedback, and ultimately provide you with tools to help you be successful in managing your mental health and/or life conflicts/crisis.I can not recommend Dr. Crenshaw enough! In fact, I have recommended several friends and acquaintances to his practice who have all been very satisfied with their experiences.
I credit Dr. Crenshaw with saving my marriage. My husband and I have seen Wes off and on for the last ten years. Weve come to understand there are times where we just cant seem to communicate and going in to talk to Wes solves the issue.Wes listens and understand both sides of the story and isnt afraid to tell you the truth. I vividly remember spending 30 minutes complaining about why my husband was impossible to live with and he said You know, youre not the easiest person to live with either. I was shocked - for about 10 seconds - and then I realized how right he was.I highly recommend Dr. Crenshaw for any issues youre having trouble solving on your own,
I wish I could leave zero stars, he’s a very rude person who throws tantrums and acts in a very unprofessional manner
