Ive used Dale & Rons quite a few times, and theyve always given honest, fair, expert service at a reasonable price. A couple times I price-checked a repair at a few places in town, and Dale & Rons cost was at or even slightly cheaper than the others, so now I feel like I can keep it simple and just take my car there and trust what they say.

Stellar customer service! Their quotes were fair and maintenance was timely. Towing services were provided from a third party, but were easy to work with as well, especially when it came to billing. In my experience, there was a mix up with a part ordered, but the staff honoured the original quote, and still completed their service on time. Would recommend to anyone needing their car issues fixed in the area.

The employees were very pleasant and easy to work with. The did an oil change with filter and rotated the tires. The also gave the vehicle a complete overview to let me know of any possible future maintenance that might be required. They were fast and efficient. I would recommend them everyone.

We kept hearing a bad sound come from the undercarriage of the car and finally got the guts to bring it in. We were afraid it would be a big repair. Firstly, I was able to drop the car off and get a ride home, which was great as we are a one car family and live just out of walking distance. Secondly, while I did have to call at the end of the day to find out what was done and how much, we were thrilled that it was an easy fix totaling UNDER $13. Amazing!

I moved to Lawrence in mid-November. Within 1 week of my arrival, the piece connecting the drive shaft with the shifter of my car broke. I had the car towed to Dale and Rons (which was a 5- to 10-minute walk from the place I was staying at the time). They quickly fixed it. When I went to pick up my car, I mentioned that I was new to town and they said that I could call if I encountered a problem requiring a plumber, an electrician, or other specialist. Very friendly and very professional!

Rick and his team do outstanding work, the service is always friendly, and the costs are very fair and reasonable.

The folks at Dale and Ron’s are honest and priced right. They’re going to be upfront about costs and won’t try to sell anything you don’t need. Plus, the staff at D&R’s are incredibly helpful, decent, and just plain nice. Can’t recommend them enough!

Rons was recommended from another Kansas University family we know as a trustworthy place that you can use for your KU student. They were right. Rons did a good job and if we need more repairs we will use them without hesitation.

I had a recurring problem—the fuel pump went out—3 times! Even though the fault was the manufacturer of the fuel pump, Rick charged me nothing the last two times, and went with a different manufacturer the third time.

Ive taken issues major and minor with my vehicle to this shop, and Rick and his team have been nothing but wonderful. I had a major AC repair handled quickly and honestly. A few weeks later, my check engine light came on and Rick was able to diagnose and address the issue on the spot, did not charge me, and even gave me a brief history lesson on the implementation of check engine lights and how they operate. I continue to do business with this shop. I have bounced around between shops in town and finally found one that I am happy with!Edit 8/12/2020:I returned to Dale and Rons with more AC issues, and it turns out it was an issue with a part I had replaced at their shop last year. They identified the issue and replaced it at NO COST. I couldnt believe the honesty, integrity, and kindness of that service. I continue to be impressed with my interactions with Rick and the shop!!

My husbands family has used Dale & Rons for decades & we have continued using them still. And its easy to see why. You may wonder sometimes if your auto repair shop is honest, & there is no wondering here. This last time I took my vehicle in, they had given me a quote on what it would cost to fix everything, & when I came to pick it up after they were finished, they told me they forgot to include any labor in the quote, & since that was their mistake, they werent going to charge me labor. I’m a student at KU and live in a different state. I wanted to get my car checked out before I drove home. They have a page online to submit for what is wrong with your car. You can also call them if you don’t want to do it online. They were super nice and friendly on the phone. They were helpful and advised on what they thought would be best for the car. When I went to pick up my car, there was a adorable dog in the office that welcomed me! I would recommend them to anyone who needs something done with their car!

Been taking our vehicles here for years. Really great service. One time, I had an issue tearing header gaskets on my challenger. Rick replaced them but I kept tearing. He found a guy in California that custom made extra thick gaskets, and ordered them for me. I never had a whistling engine again after those got put in. I’ll be a customer as long as I live in Lawrence

Terrific service. Had battery problem and had the battery replaced. This was done in less than a day. I have been using Dale and Rons for over years and plan to use their services for another 20 years.
