My experience here was not good the car broke down on me after a month of having it, the service department is very slow it took months to get a call back. The reason it broke down is because there was no oil it it at all. It broke down again recently, with it being full of oil. It would overheat and smoke with it being full of oil. I was supposed to take it to get my ac fixed but didn’t because I found a newer nicer car for the same I pay for this almost non functional, lemon. They wanted me to pay a car payment and $500 for a rental because they only cover $35 a day that’s just not enough even for an compact economy car. I terminated the leaseUltimately don’t purchase from this mediocre “dealership”

Thought it was going to be a good experience. I thought I was being very thorough and asking lots of questions. But, still got screwed. I’ve had to take my truck in multiple times for the same issue. Taking my deposit for my warranty without actually fixing my vehicle. Was told this was going to be reported to credit bureaus and they DO NOT REPORT TO CREDIT BUREAUS!! this is the only reason I wanted to get a car with monthly payments in the first place so I could build my credit. Being lied to saying it would apply and it doesn’t. I will not be going back and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Im 21 this my first time financing a car. I love my car and all that, but it did break down within 4 days of me having my car off the lot, and I pay insurance to the lot and to a insurance company. What I really wanna know is that right or is they playing me? Cause I really wish I didnt have to remember to pay 2 places every month.

After almost giving up, Auto Exchange was the breath of fresh air we needed. Eddie was immediately open and up front about everything, showing us options within our budget and giving the facts to us straight. He did everything in his power to help us, and help us he did! It was harder for us to get financing because we had never bought a car before, but while other dealerships laughed in our faces, Eddie worked for a week and a half to convince a credit union that we were worthy of a loan. And this was after we told him that it wasnt worth the trouble! Not only that, but he talked them down to a reasonable rate. My fiance and I were convinced that we were not going to be approved, but Eddie came through. I bought my car from Auto Exchange in August 2016 and it has been the worse car I have ever owned. I usually purchased used cars from individuals but I decided to buy from a dealer thinking the car would be a better car. Nope, not even close. In less than three years, I have had to replace the power steering twice and it is almost ready to go out again, the AC went out within 6 weeks, the CS player skips if you even go over a little bump, two of the door handles have broken, rust appeared fairly quickly, a bunch of little things have had to be replaced (e.g. O2 sensor) and now the exhaust needs work. And the worse thing about all of this is that Im still paying on it. I will not ever buy another car from Auto Exchange again. The cars look nice but they are not good car!EDIT: No, I am not mistaken as to where I purchased the car. I went to both the dealership on Iowa as well as the one on 23rd while buying the car. I also see the name tag on the car every time I get into it. It is just a little condescending to imply that I dont know where I purchased the car. Moreover, my actual name isnt Sunshine Merlot. It is a name that I use on line because people are just vicious sometimes. As for calling the owners, I might but I have a feeling all you are going to say is that you will contact your attorneys if I do not take down this review. However, everything I wrote is 100% true. In fact, I left off quite a few things that are wrong with the car and I still stand by my assessment of the vehicle.

As a dealership they were very helpful. I bought my car with the warranty for 3600. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. It is a scam. I have now been without my car for 10 days while the warranty company decides if they will fix it. The headers are warped. And that is an I eternal part of the engine yet cant get an answer on weather they are fixing it or not. Buyer beware the warranty company.

Went to look a the truck and noticed a couple issues with it that they told me they could take care. I told them if they take care of them that i would buy the truck. They stayed late on a Friday so i could pick it up as i needed it that weekend. Brian was amazing extremely pleased with the truck. I will also say i got an amazing rate as well. They took care of all the problems i had with the truck.

From this old Marine to any active duty, or former military, this is the place for you to buy a used car, truck, van, vehicle of any kind that they have advertised. The BS stops at the door.It started with my calling them to inquire if they had the car I was interested in. Told them I would be by and guess what, the car was present and accounted for. With other dealers, I have gone to find, oh, we still have it online, but sold it a few days ago. None of that here.Next, while I was talking to the fellas, a not very happy Dad approached and told them that he expected the radio in the Daughters car to be fixed and why wasnt it. Well, no excuses, just an apology, and a call was made immediately, the Dad was sent to their Audio guy, to get it done now, or as soon as the Dad could go.The car I was interested in was gassed and ready to go, with or without hand holding by the dealership. I got in and took a 40 mile test drive. Got back, and purchased the car. After the deal was made,and we had the car price set, they asked if I was interested to trading in my present SUV. I planned to take it home, had not even considered trading it in. Well to keep this short, they offered me enough on trade that they got to keep the messy dirty kid mobile.First time in my car buying life that I believed I had not in some way gotten screwed. They even used a Credit Union to finance the car at a great rate. So, for a no BS buying experience, where everyone listens, buy here. And this should be your first stop in Lawrence for a used car, if you bought a used car somewhere else, you probably paid to much.

Jeremy was excellent to work with and made the entire purchasing experience easy. I love the car I purchased and it was exactly what I was looking for and at the price point I wanted. After owning the car for about 6 months, there were several issues with the car. Jeremy and Matt were more than willing to help me resolve the issues at no cost to me. One of the issues included uneven tire wear. The tires were replaced free of charge to me This was definitely not something I expected, however; it shows the dealership does stand behind their cars and is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure their customers are taken care of.

We bought a van from Auto Exchange last month and our experience was great! We shopped around at quite a few dealerships before we decided and we ended up going with Auto Exchange. They didnt bug us a lot, they treated us friendly, and the buying experience was fast. We had some issues with some fluids being low once we bought the vehicle (windshield washer reservoir was broken etc) and they got us into a mechanic shop and fixed the problem for us. We definitely would recommend them!

Contacted Auto Exchange through their website. Received a call and an email within an hour. Told them exactly what car I wanted and how much I wanted to pay per month. By the next morning, I had received some financing options from Justin that were better than what I wanted. I went and test drove the car, and I was sold. While I they were working on the paperwork, my wife found a car she liked, and as the story goes, we both drove off in new cars. We were in and out in no time, considering our kids were with us, and they were super awesome to us! Friendly, not pushy, easy to work with, answered all questions in a timely manner... Will go back there again, definitely!

I just had to share that this place and Matt Heidrich are both awesome. I have purchased two cars from Auto Exchange and they were both the best deals around and the best process to get them.I live in Colorado and I was able to purchase the cars without ever driving them and feel comfortable making the purchase.The cars were ready when I arrived and the paperwork took less than 30 minutes.Even if you live out of state, you need to get your next vehicle here. I checked the prices around in both states and Auto Exchange had the best prices. EVEN with the trip to get them!

Hey everybody! If you in the market for a car the Auto Exchange is right for you. My name is Jamar and I was desperately needing a car but my credit was poor and I always either had gotten turned down for a loan or had to pay a high interest rate that would have me pay double the worth of the car. I heard about the Auto Exchange dealership threw searching on the web and I must say these people make car buying the thing to do. They have answer for all your problems and needs to get you out the door and into any car on the lot you want. With there in house financing by offering a lease to own deal for all credit scores made my bad credit not an issue at all. The staff are very nice and very friendly as well. You can even come by and just hang out with them, eat some cookies or something. All and all The Auto Exchange in Lawrence, KS is the place to shop for a car. They really do make car buying fun instead of feeling like you getting taking advantage of.

Be very careful with this place. When going through the process they never asked us if we wanted GAP insurance or the additional warranty, they put it in the final price without asking us. Then when we questioned it, they said that the bank that was financing the deal would only do the deal if it had both the GAP and the additional warranty in it. Just make sure you read your paperwork before signing. We called the bank and go all of our money back but this just concerns me on how many people they have done this to. Be careful!!

I bought a 2011 F150 from them a year ago, now. I worked with Jeremy on the sales team. I initially text and talked with Jeremy on the phone as I am a 3 hour drive away. He was very upfront with all information about the truck. I asked if he could send me more detailed pictures of any problems and a video of it running. He sent me about 20 photos of locations of dings and scratches/blemishes which were all expectable for the age and miles. He even sent me a video of under the hood with the the engine revving and of the exhaust.I told him I would be down on the weekend to test drive it and he had it out in front of the building and already running when I arrived, AC on and we looked over it in person and he showed me all the things he took pictures of. He then let my wife and me take it out anywhere we wanted for up to an hour! I’ve never had a test drive experience like that.When we got back we discussed price and financing. He found 4 other trucks within a 300 mile radius of equivalent miles and with the exact same features and showed me prices of them, which were all more. And we were able to come to an agreement on a fair price with no pressure at all. I was pre-approved by my own institution, but Jeremy found me a better loan rate through a local credit union they work with. Jermey even let my wife and I discuss the price and warranty cost and down payment amount in private in his own office.Jeremy was very transparent, and even showed me their inspection of the truck and what they did to repair minor items on it. The glove box had receipts from their fill ups which was all premium gas, and the window sticker and other maintenance receipts. He showed me invoices of vehicles they’ve covered under their warranty for items that aren’t normally covered under other warranties. He even showed me the auction details from where they got it.1 year later I have had zero problems with my truck. It drove round trip to Texas and back, and through a literal blizzard that turned a 3 hour drive into a 6 hour white knuckle drive between Topeka and Lincoln. It’s tackled winter in NE without issues, and now summer. They say you don’t really know your car until you take it on a road trip, well it’s been on a few now with no problems at all.I don’t understand the 1 star reviews I’ve read, it’s like we are reviewing different businesses. I wouldn’t doubt Auto Exchange would work through any problems with me if I had any. In fact I come back to browse the vehicles they have for a newer one for my wife every so often.

Ok, final review update. Bought a truck from Auto Exchange in November. Nothing but problems. Only had the truck for maybe six months and its been in the shop 7 times. Bad wheel bearing, both front 4x4 actuators went out, oil leaks, check engine light after check engine light and a terrible clunk/bang coming and going from a stop. These guys put on a pretty good magic show because the truck seemed just fine on the test drives. I remember Brians exact words Our vehicles go through a multi point inspection. Yeah, no they dont. Dont listen to them. Took the truck back after 2 days after noticing an oil leak in a troubling location and all they did was tighten some bolts and sent it on its way not actually fixing the leak which turns out is going to be a huge and expensive job to fix. In the warranty period when I first purchased the vehicle nothing was fixed that I brought up. Just horrible. The owner Matt has reached out to me to try and remedy some of the issues hes the only one that has made the slightest effort to help but sadly this truck is a lost cause. I updated this review because Im dealing with ANOTHER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and am currently looking to trade in this clunker for something that can run longer than a month before going to the shop. This truck has been the shop at least once or twice a month. I recommend staying away from Auto Exchange by any means necessary. The quality of a product says a lot about the business and welp you get the gist of this dealer. Just like the rest of the scam dealers.

As an Out of State Internet First Time Car Buyer I have to admit Matt really made the whole car buying experience fun and exciting.Top notch communication, as emails where responded to in a very quickly manor. Matt took care of all my concerns, and did all the paperwork for me. Anything I needed to sign or do was broken down step by step for me.I even had Matt walk around the car and inspect every inch of it as he was on the phone with me. After receiving my vehicle everything he mentioned was correct and no other noticeable surprise blemishes where found.I would do business with these guys again, as I am really happy with my purchase.Thank you.

Easy to deal with initially, worked with my schedule, even had the car i purchased delivered to me and I live over an hour away, car though did not have new brake pads put on as agreed upon. Took the car back to have brakes done and to check a new issue with the car. Was given the car back without brakes done, but was given quote on other issue and was told they would be in touch as the car would need to go to Kansas City for additional repair. Never was contacted again.Update 6/17: I was contacted by ownership in regards to this review. I was informed there were issues in the service department but they were now fixed. I did have to drive my car over an hour back and find a ride back home. However, they did fix the issues that were agreed upon before purchase, as well as an issue that occurred post purchase free of charge. The vehicle was also delivered back to me to avoid a return trip.
