This place has a lot of machines and equipment but the locker room area is most neglected....shower area is very small and showers are broken and soap dispensers was out of soap. Looks like no one wants to take responsibility for it. Place certainly needs more cleaning and hygiene and proper maintenance.

Hard to give a first impression when you wear masks during training. Generally the club has lots of equipment and its pretty good quality. Im not a big fan of the rowing machines, but they will do. I also would prefer if they didnt make you bring your own locks. Its the age of digital locks and I think all gyms should have them :-) other than that, I think its a good club and serves its purpose.

This is a pretty cool gym with a laid back atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the facility is clean and cleaned often. We go at a time that there is no crowd so no worries on lack of equipment. Its conveniently open 24 hours which is great.

I love the environment. Not only the set up of the gym, but the workers. Chyna is always so joyous and helpful with everything she does. She puts the biggest smile on my face and makes me feel extremely loved. Jessica is very sweet as well and always gives me good tips and advice for the future. Marcus has also been helpful to me while I learn different exercises and explore the machinery of the gym. The people who frequent Planet Fitness in the morning have always been a delight to surround myself with. I love how hard everyone is working!! Seeing the consistency of hard work is so beautiful to me! The energy within the facility is top tier and everyone is always so respectful of one another’s boundaries! Whether it be cleaning the benches, sharing the dumbbells, or assisting with advice on form or new exercises, it is very obvious that everyone at Planet Fitness wants to reach their goals and help those around them to reach their goals as well!

My son & I are always greeted with a smile. The staff is helpful. The facility is clean, conveniently located, and there’s enough equipment to get a good workout in even when crowded (pre covid crowded).

His service prompted me to ask if they do surveys, because I just had to let the company know they have a gem ! Other than that the gym was very clean and not overly crowded ! Which was also a plus ! A guy was at the desk chatting when I planned on leaving, who acted like he did not see me while he is supposed to say have a nice day. No big deal, I dont care. Then suddenly used his acute eyes to detect that I threw a piece of brown paper, chased out and lectured me. I didnt throw any paper, I dont need to. There are 10s of cans inside. I think it hurts the business when gym stuff acts like bosses. It is not at all attractive. Paper falling out of people s pocket is extremely rare event. I would let it pass. Unless he thinks certain group of people tend to be less educated and need some lecturing.

Great place to workout! It really is a judgment free zone. It is always kept clean. Social distancing and wearing your mask is enforced. I feel good every time I step into this facility. The music is also a viiiibe.

I was here yesterday. PF is my go to place as I travel across the country every day. I just wish their where better bathroom up keep.. I suggest this to all PF locations work high population, you should put a bottle of disinfectant near showers and stalls so that everyone can clean up after each use just like the equipment on the floor..

Its a cool gym with a cool vibe. The people and staff are cool. Some of the equipment can use updating and some of the rubber grips on machines are old and coming off. Needs to be replaced. But overall its a cool gym.

Ive been going to Planet Fitness for over 8 years now. Ive always enjoyed going to PF for multiple reasons; only $19.99 a month for all of the machines/equipment, tanning beds, massage chairs/beds, and most of all the ability to work out without feeling like I have to look my best for everyone else...but instead, I am able to put my energy & focus into actually working out hard, sweating and feeling good about myself no matter how I look!I wasnt sure about the safety due to COVID, but since opening back up in 2020 PF has done a great job at keeping the gym safe, sanitized, social distanced & enforces wearing facemasks the correct way. Coming here 4-5 times a week is my getaway from my toddlers/husband!

So before the pandemic, it was fine. They then closed and sent an email saying we will not charge until we are open again. Awesome, but then they open and automatically start charging again without even informing you or giving you the option to close the membership due to Covid. So now I’m stuck having paid over $50 for a service I cant use due to not wanting to get Covid. On top of all that, to cancel, you have to go in person to cancel even though you can sign up online, it’s like they know they can steal your money because they think we are lazy/don’t want to get sick and follow CDC guidelines. Honestly, just build a home gym and find a routine that works for you, or go to a more professional gym that doesn’t treat customers like a contract!

Planet fitness has really put in good protocols for covid. My work out was great.

The Gym is clean and well kept. However, the lockers should have locks just like other PF locations.

The AC isn’t working in a heat advisory! Unacceptable! I went up to the desk, the woman working wasn’t able to tell me if it had been reported to management. Again, unacceptable!

Theyre not checking temperatures and its anyones guess whether the ventilation is enough to reduce COVID spread. Ceiling fans are on, possibly just circulating contaminated air. Social distancing isnt enough in an enclosed space with people breathing more heavily than normal. Even more so when there are folks on cardiomachines not wearing their masks properly. This gym has done the bare minimum but could be doing more to keep customers safe. If you worry about bringing coronavirus home to your family, avoid this gym for now.

This location has the updated digital monitor stair masters unlike the old ones. I get a better workout and I burn more calories at a time on the newer ones vs the old ones. Also they clean the machines often

First of all, I love that the gym is open 24 hours. My boyfriend and I have different work schedules so this allows us to come at a time when were both available. The gym is clean, staff is nice, and they recently updated all their machines. It does get packed between 6-9pm but this hasnt been an issue since there are plenty of machines to use. I highly recommend this location!

Great place! My only concern previously was the lack of heavier dumbbells, but now that theyve added the higher weights (up to 75lbs) everything is good. The facility is clean, well lit, and well organized.And the hydro massage chairs are game changers!

Packed during peak hours. All the bench press machines are took up by customers focusing on there phone and not the workout.Today (9/15/19) 9am, the urinal in the men bathroom was overflowing and the staff was nonchalant about the issue.Also, it took over 3 months to replace the hand dryer in the men bathroom.The good news the staff keeps the equipment clean. Also, they just updated some equipment a few months ago.

I signed up and IMMEDIATELY regretted it. After I committed all of a sudden the staff had major attitudes and offered information that should have been brought to my awareness before I agreed to becoming a member. Do yourself a favor - Anytime Fitness is across the street and LA Fitness is around the corner. The bar is very low here.

Nice clean gym with very friendly staff. There is always someone to assist if you need help. For those who like classes, Carmen is an excellent instructor, the 360 classes she teaches are a total workout, something youd do in boot camp, so much fun, I recommended it. And the best part of all Planet Fitness is that they are open 24 hours a day except on Christmas day, and some modified hours for Thanksgiving and New Years day. So it is always there for us. You get to know the staff, it becomes like home. I like this gym.

I really like all the positive messaging at Planet Fitness. I sometimes go to this location as my boyfriends guest. Its not as clean as I prefer, but the staff are friendly. Its also all machines, so if youre looking to do a true power lifting or Olympic lifting workout then Planet Fitness is not for you.

The entire website is used to redirect you. It’s almost impossible to find any contact information and I have been trying to cancel my subscription/account for months now and I always get redirected.

Clean facility and helpful staff. The Express circuit section is usually disrupted by people using one machine and sitting on it the in between workout. Express means keep moving, not sitting.

Please beware of this unprofessional location! I brought my daughter there to cancel her barely used $10 membership, shes a college student. My intention was to purchase the Black membership then we could go together when home from John Hopkins..... HECK NO, NEVER!!!! The employee there, totally wish I knew her name, shes a short caucasian female with auburn hair and blue eyes. RUDE!!!!. Right in front of us, her coworkers told her she was being rude to us😔 Planet Fitness does not need employees like this especially with the image of a non judgmental place. Super sad, however, we spoke to the manager and I do not believe it was big deal. After reading other reviews to where the owner replied, he or she replies the same way. I now understand why that location doesnt truly care.

Great facility! I unfortunately had to cancel my membership because I moved and another gym was closer, but Carmen made it so easy and simple. No fuss no hassle and I was in and out. Its things like this that, if I ever move back in the area or around another Planet Fitness would make me choose them again!

CONS: from my visits in July 2019, The woman locker room not cleaned completely. The changing stalls had hair and bobby pins on floor all week. Bench needed a wipe down. The handicap shower stall had black hair dye spattered around. Had to be careful not to get any on me. I did not see a change for the time I was in the area.PROS: Police presence for 2 am visits, Friendly staff.

I love this location. I have been to the PFs in Odenton, Catonsville, near Beltsville(in mall), off 29 near Silver Spring, one in DC on a 2nd floor, one somewhere in Virginia, and this Laurel 198 location. This is by far the best one. Many of them feel like caves the deeper you go but this location has a lot of window. I think the management here is better since I feel theyre made to work harder than other locations thus keeping it cleaner. That said, I have experienced the same rude and inattentive service others seem to have experienced here as well. They seem to go through employees every year so maybe that is part of the problem.I do wish they had more of the often used machines like the curl machine. Its often taken and it takes awhile for people to finish their sets on it. Oh and Ive also been to Laurel Racquet Club and Fitness a few times. Talk about a dirty gym where employees do not clean whatsoever. Even their racquet ball courts are full of dust, and it feels like you could get mugged in/near the locker room areas. I was sliding all over the basketball court too. For having a $40 membership fee, their employees are hella lazy.Just some notes about other PF locations:-Catonsville PF is way too cold. They have A/C kickin like its the antarctic when I walk in. Its okay after I start sweating but man that place feels like a cold cave, especially with how far it goes back with so little window.-The Black membership chairs and beds at many of the other locations(not Laurel) seem to always be broken in some way, and/or the set up for the rooms are really bad. The PF location I went to in Virginia had massage chairs in the view of the work out areas. Just really uncomfortable, and both were broken in some way.-I dislike many of the machines in the other locations(not laurel) as well. I dont understand why specific muscle machines are different across locations. Youd think PF would have the same mass produced machines in all of their locations but while they all sort of look the same, theyre designed slightly different at different locations. I guess they could be older versions of the same machines.-I feel Laurel and Odenton have more judgemental employees but part of that is also because theyre always in full view of the members. I know they talk and make jokes about members. Its very obvious sometimes.-I also feel Laurel location gets some shady people on the guys side. Id recommend using the visible lockers or make sure you have a good lock if you are using a back locker. Got my lock popped and stuff stolen once. The DC location had some really shady people in the locker room when i was there.Please consider adding a protein shake/food/drink bar. How about adding a barber at a discounted rate for black card members? Itd be nice if members could use the black card machines without having to go to the front desk for each go. Its so annoying.

Ive always loved them and their convenient locations. Now after 2 years of membership and being 60lbs lighter this place is staying as my gym of choice and more.

This is an excellent gym! I think that it is one of the cleanest gyms in the area. The staff members are very friendly and they promote a non intimidating atmosphere to make each and every individual feel comfortable. I would recommend this gym for those who are on a tight budget, as their $10 per month plan makes this membership very affordable.

The Planet Fitness in Odenton has been my home gym for the past year but as Laurels is closer to the new crib, I had to peep. First impressions are that its clean, has a helpful staff, and a wider layout (to me it appears) than others Ive been too. Not a knock on the gym but its not in the most convenient space and the traffic on 198 is usually bad so a short drive can turn into a long one.

I have social anxiety when it comes to gyms but a family member recently got a membership for me so I started going. I can honestly say I enjoy it and that they do in fact seem to be a judgement-free zone.

Planet Fitness is my new gym and it’s Awesome. Since it’s 24 hrs i can go to the gym at anytime of the day or night. I could not sleep one morning so i went to the gym at 4am 😜

Excellent selection of equipment. Laurel location is large and very clean. Love the 24/7 access that allows for a work out anytime. Wish there were more evening classes but the classes offered are great, small size, and excellent instructors! Can’t beat it for 10 dollars a month!!

Exceptionally good

This place is great! Its clean, well organized and all machines are in good working condition. Employees clean the machines regularly which is great! Proper hygiene is a must for places like this. Theres a working fountain station (yay!) and drinks are available for purchase for a very small fee if youre a member. Cleaning stations are well placed and stocked through the entire area. Highly recommended!

The Planet fitness is nice but it gets crowded after work best time to go is after 10pm so you will have more machine at your disposal. The staff is not that attentive, and the equipment is missing parts some times. They recently installed a water filtration system so I am giving them a 3 satr rating .How ever the water filtration is room temperature

Actually witnessed three members using the machines without cleaning them after use. Two other members stepped on two of the machines without cleaning them. Was very disturbed by that.

For the price, equipment availability, kind staff, and overall environment (for my peaceful lookin) its great. Plus the one I go to is 24 hours. Easy 5 stars in my book.
