One of the best private gyms in Laurel MD. The staff is always supportive and its a wonderful environment with absolutely no body shaming.

Let me tell you about this gym! I’ve been to several but this one right here is amazing!!!! I’ve had the opportunity to train with some of the most professional and amazing trainers and the cleanliness is #1! 6 ft distancing, spray bottle for each person that walks threw the door, and the staff is AMAZING! If you need a gym well you found it, personal trainers the best of the best and my goal To lose weight within 6 months I lost 20 pounds and I’m never looking back! Ive never been one for gyms but Fitness Evolution has changed that for me! With the amazing classes that they offer and the front desk staff being super friendly they really make you feel like family. The equipment is easy to use and in good condition. If their is equipment you dont know how to use staff is available to help you learn how to use it. I am so happy Ive chosen Fitness Evolution.

Dope Gym!!! Upon entering you received a temp check, disinfectant spray bottle and a towel! Gym is closed and goes under a deep cleaning process from 1330-1430. Gym staffs are super friendly and will assist you on whatever you need on the gridiron. They also have a workout room strictly for females to workout in and feel comfortable at a certain time. The gym has improved so much with new equipments, machines and a lot of remodeling to better serve the local community. This gym offers everything you need to complete your workouts and I highly recommend it!

This gym is pretty awesome. The price is very affordable at $20/mo and annual fees of $40. The equipment is definitely older but it’s all functioning and there is every thing you could need and want. Definitely the best option in the area for the price. Everyone is also really friendly. The best times to go are mid morning and mid afternoon as it can get pretty crowded.

My parents are in the high risk category unfortunately and I hadn’t been back in the gym since last year because I didn’t want to risk it until a friend recommended this one and I am so grateful that he did. They deep clean literally EVERYWHERE (even behind equipment) on a regular basis and enforce an efficient clean as you go policy. If you were ever worried about potentially contacting the virus and that was keeping you at home, worry no more. It is their no. 1 priority. Highly recommend

The gym is nice and clean. They have a daycare center if you need it, children can workout and train there. They have several workout classes and instructors. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

This place is really welcoming and a great gym for someone starting their fitness journey. The staff is helpful and attentive. Also the incentives that you get with your membership are unmatched at this price. I would give 10 stars if I could!

I love this place! It’s my second home. Everyone is friendly. I have taken several classes and enjoyed them all!! I’ve always been a gym rat but I have never accomplished as much as I have in this gym. Everyone in there is very supportive. The group of trainers they have are like no other. They are deeply dedicated to their clients and you can see the results being in there on a day to day basis. I love the array of equipment they have in the gym and they continue to add more. Definitely check it out!!!

Ive been coming to this gym since they opened as a Golds in 1996. In all this time, its only changed ownership once. This is my home gym and Ill never leave. It has everything anyone could want. The staff members are courteous and friendly and the patrons are as well. They invest in state of the art equipment and the membership fees are extremely reasonable. The personal trainers are knowledgeable and attentive to their clients and they have a variety of classes available. This isnt my gym, theyre more like my family.

I’ve been coming to this Gym for roughly 2 years. As time goes by it gets better and better! I love coming to this gym. Staff is friendly! I recommend everyone to come by and check this spot out.

Jose is a great owner and cares about everybody there not to mention personal trainers are so helpful and see your progress and tell u so I love the layout and space the disinfectant ready at the door so clean and good environment

Nice place to get fit.... There are a lot of ppl that ANNOYINGLY save machines (leaving their stuff at one, going to the complete other side and using a dif machine, coming back and forth) that would be the only problem I have 😤😤

I’ve been a member at this particular location since it was a Gold’s Gym years back. Renewed my premium membership when Fitness Evolution took over and been committed since. The facilities itself has been through many upgrades over the years. I love the new equipment and COVID-19 protocols. I feel comfortable enough to workout here without worrying about putting myself or others at risk. Temps are checked at the door. Each member is given their own hand towel and disinfectant spray bottle to wipe down the equipment used. The gym is closed down for an hour or so daily for a deep clean and the staff are respectable and friendly. My friend and I enjoy our time here. Only downfall for me would be that some hours are more packed than others in the weight areas and COVID makes it more difficult to jump in between sets but I feel like that is the norm at any gym nowadays.Either way. 10/10 would recommend the Laurel location over the Silver Spring location.

I have been a member of Fitness Evolution now for around 4yrs. I’m this time the gym has Evolved into a top notch gym!! Under new ownership the gym has top of the line equipment for various fitness styles of training. Amazing staff and personal trainers. The people are the best!! Very respectful and welcoming to new members. Very low monthly fee for a great gym!! Highly recommend

I absolutely love this gym. The staff are friendly, the equipment is plentiful (they have EVERYTHING!), and its very very clean and sanitary. I miss the sauna but when we were able to use it before Covid, it was great! They give each member their own spray bottle and towel so you can wipe down the equipment before and after use. They also close for an hour each day to clean and disinfect. Its just a great gym, overall. The classes are great too! Love this gym.

Best gym in Maryland 👌🏼The only gym where you get your own spray bottle to clean the machines with a clean towel each time you come with an amazing cleaning process every day 💪🏼 And lets not talk about the machines, one the the gyms with the best equipment ever and love the variety of machines and equipment with the special area for deadlifting and many other things such as the group classes where you can find Zumba, Yoga, and cycling, plus they got their own personal trainers where you get one free personal training session for free when you sing up. Really recommended, you would not regret your decision.

I have been a member of Golds gym for years as well as LA Fitness for a couple years. I’ve now been a member of Fitness Evolution for about 4yrs and the “Evolution” lol of this gym has been amazing!!!! Under new ownership the whole gym has been remodeled. Best equipment for various styles of fitness!! Amazing staff and trainers. The best part is the people. Everyone is so respectful and welcoming. It’s literally like a family atmosphere. Very low monthly fee for a great gym!!! Definitely recommend.

(9/24/20)Do not get membership with this gym. I closed my account for this gym and was told that after paying the buyout fee of $60, I would only get charged 1 more month per their policy. I recently noticed that I was charged another fee outside of the monthly fee was taken from account.UPDATE(9/25/20): The owner of the gym contacted me after seeing the review and settled the issue about the charge on my account. I appreciate the quick response about the issue. The owner seems to have good customer service.

Prices are affordable, friendly staff, clean area they follow covid-19 regulations. Im working with a personal trainer whos helping me to achieve my goals. Im happy to come to this place to workout.

Want a gym that doesnt break the bank? This is it. It is very kid friendly! They offer tons of classes, its clean, the staff are friendly, theyre open early & late, rarely closed for holidays & the owner is constantly improving the machines & facility. If members have suggestions for ways to better the gym in any way, the owner is apt to hear it. They genuinely care about their members. The more you come, the more the members become like family. Its a great place for anyone at any fitness level!

First & foremost its CLEAN! Its been remodeled to space equipment out. Its been renovated to add new & better equipment. And wearing masks are required. 😃👍🏾

They dont accept your cancellation? Just call your bank and ask them to block this fitness forever from your account. They charged me the annual fee and also the membership AFTER I requested cancellation, I just call the bank to block this merchant and disputed the amount. Happy Ending.

Right after their reopening I called to cancel my membership & the employee on the phone said “no problem, you have to come in to sign the cancellation documents.” Thus I went in person to cancel my gym membership and the guy at the front desk tells me that I’ll have to pay a $60 cancellation fee. I don’t feel like risking my life to work out in a public facility. It was VERY inconsiderate for them to charge members a cancellation fee when they’ve already received COVID-19 relief payments from the government.

Dont go to this fittness. My friend was trying to cancel the membership since August 2020 because of the covid. She came straight there and canceled and they said they will charge her 1 more month. Thats still ok. But then she noticed that the bank was still charging her every month with different amount, then i called i spoke to the guy last week and he said she have to pay another month plus $10 for return fee because he said she did not sign in the cancelation paper that they sent her even she went in there and canceled in person in August 6th 2020. Then she agreed to pay whatever on the bill for total $29.99 and the guy said she only need to pay that amount then thet close her membership. But then she found out they charged her $88.99 couple days ago. I called and asked again and the same guy said that include the annual fee and for another month. What the terrible business that trying to charge all hidden fee in this pandamic time. What a terrible customer service ive ever seen. People be aware with this gym.

Inexpensive and great gym overall. The staff members are very friendly, the membership monthly is inexpensive, the locker rooms are clean as well as the machines. There are also many drink options as you come in, and you’re always greeted very nicely. There are many programs that you can join and lessons. They have schedules that are consistent so you always know who’s going to be teaching what, as well as what days and time. Highly recommend going to Fitness Evolution.

I have been going to this gym for about 3 months now & I must say I love it! The staff is super friendly. I haven’t met any rude staff members, they are always super helpful. They have a nice variety of machines to use, and the fitness classes are amazing! Brian & Angela are my favorite instructors, as they are both very motivating and patient. I’m glad I signed up for this gym, because I think I’m getting great value for $20/month.

I love this gym. I moved from the area and was forced to go to another gym because this one was too far. However I really do miss this gym a lot. Very affordable, friendly staff, and it was never too crowded. I miss this gym a lot! I recommend!

Where do I start, this gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. The awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here is outstanding, they are eager to help, they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun. The overall ambience of this place is phenomenal, such positive vibes with a great variety of equipment to select from. The facilities are CLEAN which is hard to come by now a days with other gyms. They also have an amazing child care center, my daughter loves coming here, she gets excited every time! This gym truly exceeds all expectations.. couldnt recommend Fitness Evolution enough! It’s amazing!

With one of the best and nicest area for personal training class.I have joined Fitness Evolution for more than a year already and so far I’m enjoying all the benefits the facility offers.I have taken classes as body jump and also personal training classes. I highly recommend you to try the personal service over there. The stuff is highly skilled and compromised with their work. Overall, I recommend it and advise you to give it a try.

I have been a member of this gym for about 3 years and I honestly can’t imagine joining another gym. Its the perfect size, always clean and the members are friendly! I love the many classes that they offer, and the Manager Jose is awesome. Very friendly and understanding. I just started working out with one of their personal trainers and really excited to see my results.

When I started with this Gym, I used a personal trainer who was not only very effective and personable, he now owns the Gym. Jose and his staff are top notch and the facility is constantly being upgraded. Best Gym in the city.

The gym is currently under new management. Overall their friendly and professional level has really improved. There has been great changing doing on in the gym and I love it😊. Adding new weight equipments, and change in open and closing gym time💪. Only thing still missing is a strienth training area for everyone🤞

Great little gym. $10 per month, and once a year charge of $40 or so. They dont allow guests at this rate, but their machines and equipment are all well maintained and there is always staff available to help you with whatever you need.

Are you considering Fitness Evolution? They have weights, machines, and treadmills. Fitness Evolution is an excellent choice if you enjoy leaving the gym with other peoples sweat on you, and if Staph infections are not a concern for you. Their cancellation policy is fair. You call and spend anywhere from 1-5 hours with the General Manager discussing the $14.99 monthly fee. Fitness Evolution is receiving a 1-star rating because they have an excellent personal training staff and knowledgeable instructors. They deserve credit for keeping this gym in business. As for the general manager, who knows what type of business school he attended, because client service and retention is not a priority.

Their cancellation policy is something! I signed up membership in mid of March and cancelled after a month which is 30days. I have no idea why they charged me $39 for annual fees which is not even 60 days of my service yet. NOT ONLY THAT. They charged me $9.99 for May after I have cancelled my service.I am not here to manipulate you guys.I honestly Do Not recommend this place because there are so many greater gyms than this gym out there.First, their equipment are not updated. The machines they have are old and out dated. Second, always crowded which you always need to wait for weight for a long time. The last thing and the worst thing is their customer service. They are not friendly and not able to answer your questions and train you. The trainers are not always there for you!

I currently work for Fitness Evolution as a Personal Trainer. I have worked for other gyms with Fitness in their name, however the last thing they care about is your Fitness . At Fitness Evolution they actually want you to be more fit and healthy and not just pay for their services. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff and a large personal training room for clients and not just a roped off tiny Personal training area like another big name gym.

I started going to this gym three months ago and so far Im loving it. Monthly fee is not expensive and the gym have everything I need. Personal training room is unique in the area and perfect for training. The manager gave me discounts for personal training and he is always assisting me with everything I need.

This gym has everything you need to get fit. Group exercise activities, weight training, individual free weights, personal training sessions, and the best spin cycling classes in Maryland. The price is right and no contract signing is necessary.

ZUMBA classes are awesome!!!!! So much fun! They have yoga, spinning, insanity, a lot more too. Its not that expensive either, starts at $10 and you get a couple free training sessions. Only place Ive found thats close by, where they have all kinds of classes for under $20 a month.

This a great gym it offers so much for just a little money(9.99 per month cheap) . They just opened up a personal training room that is great! I thought i was in shape until they put me through a workout . I am retired and just want to be independent as long a possible cant believe how much energy i have now !! CANT BEAT THE PRICE FOR THE VALUE!

This place has excellent child care when I go at night the women that work there are awesome.

Good gym with a mix of free weights and machines. Would be nice if they had paper towels to use to dry off if you dont bring a towel. Other than that, hard price to beat.

Get fit

I used to like this gym. But due to horrible customer service I can no longer say that. I called three times over three weeks to cancel my service over and issue with my contract. One I didn’t realize I was in. It took me calling back four different occasions to finally get to someone to respond to me. And the whole time they acted as if they were doing me a favor. When I asked for the owners info or the corporate office I was told there was no info to give me. So this business just runs on managers and the several people who own it you can’t get in contact with. Sigh. I just counted my losses and cancelled. They got their money and I’m sure that’s all that matters.

Gyms has all the equipment you need. Some members have a problem putting their weights back when they’re done. Maybe they’re just lazy. Idk

Could be cleaner...i made a suggestion to the fitness manger about buying some simple stainless steel wipes to clean the bars and dumbells ...theyre extremely nasty and have years of sweat, dust, and rust..on them...he basically threw the ownership group under the bus...and never once acknowledged my complaint...#1hrsa reason people quit clubs is theyre dirty

You get what you pay for. Dirty mats, ALWAYS long wait for using any weights.Finally decided to cancel my membership. You have to go in ONLY Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm to be able to cancel your membership, so I have to take a day off from work to cancel my membership with these people. DO NOT JOIN !!!!!!

You get what you pay for...its cheap at $9 a month but you get what you pay for. You might as well go to planet fitness because the staff complain about weights dropping and noise (I thought this was a gym and not a library). Fitness and gym are 2 different things here and youre getting a place where you can be fit. Also, first day in here and I saw roaches in the shower. So glad I left this place.

I almost lost it when I came in today to cancel a year membership that shouldve cancelled on its own after the year was up but no not this place, they will continue charging you every month until you come in and tell them you want to cancel your membership SMH!!! OH BUT THATS NOT ALL, it takes 30 days for your cancellation to be final so they will charge you again for the last time before the 30 days are up smh....I was in the process of getting back in shape now that Ive given birth but I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN AFTER THAT.

Horrible Gym. I canceled my membership in Oct well before my next payment was due for Nov and they charged me for NOV!! They stated that was their policy. How can there be a policy for a no contract membership?! Locker rooms were disgusting and hot. They claimed to have function fitness room but you can only use it if you are with a personal trainer, at an additional cost of course. The gym consists of a lot of people standing around looking at themselves in the mirror, or throwing around large amounts of weight improperly. It was a horrible experience, find another gym if you can!

I’d have to day that I didn’t expect much from this gym. This is not like the famous gyms that cost more, so I thought it wasn’t good. But they turned out to be quite decent: equipment, facilities, staff.

Would give it 5 stars, but it only has two squat racks which there is often a line for. Plenty of cardio equipment, plenty of machines, plenty of dumbbells, but no extra barbells - the only ones they have are from bench presses our the squat rack. So, if you want to deadlift you have to wait for a rack or a bench to open up so you can snag that bar. But for 9.99 a month it seriously cant be beat.

I was a member for many years and finally had enough of the poor customer service. The fitness business is very competitive and each gym offers discounts throughout the year. Avoid this gym as there customer service is lacking and the product has gone down hill.

They are a big scam. They will never make you cancel your membership once you join. They will sell you a no contract deal $9.99 and they will make sure they charge you an arm on a contract but the trick is they call the contract agreements which is the same. On signing, they will make you think you are just authorizing a credit card transaction but they will use it to wipe your bank account.Beware Folks

Biggest plus is how close it is to the house. Second, the hours fit within my shifting schedule, so i can go before or after work. They allow drinks other than water by the machines. Only negative thing is when its busy (around 3-6pm) everyone usually goes and it makes it difficult to get the machine you want.
