The salon owner Evelyn is a cut above stylist with a professional on time work ethic. Hair care is impeccable and important. Cozy beautiful salon located on a beautiful Main Street with much to eat and browse stores. I highly recommend this salon!

My appointment was at 11am, she was doing her hair. Then she constantly reminded me how horrible my hair was, then she said thanks to you my arm is tired. To the point she made me feel uncomfortable I had to leave. Went to another Dominican salon they had no problem with my hair and didn’t push my head and talk to me in a rude manner. Another thing I want to add, when Evelyn tried to put on the rollers she did not comb my hair, and said out loud that your hair is not good it’s long and tangled in front of everyone. Enough to destroy someone’s confidence. The whole salon looks horrible and unorganized.

This is the best Dominican salon in Laurel area. I went in for a touch up after taking out my braids. Ms. Evelyn was kind and highly professional enough to take out the knots and I am proud and highly satisfied with her service. She also did an excellent job with deep conditioning and styling. I have been a customer of Evelyns since she was working at another location. The first time Evelyn did my hair I fell in love with the job she did. It was amazing. My hair has perm in it, but I am going back to natural hair and what a smooth transition that is taking place. After leaving Evelyns beauty salon you cannot tell that 3 quarts of my hair is natural and a quart of it still has perm. Every six weeks or so Evelyn clips out the ends and will do so until the perm is gone. Each visit I do an emergency treatment and the next visit I do a deep condition. With my treatments I rotate every two weeks. My mother hair is also natural and Evelyn takes care of it too. My mother was very resistant to visiting Evelyn, but she did and now she too is loving the way Evelyn is caring for her natural hair. Great service and manners!

Evelyn is the best! I’ve been looking for a hair salon in the Laurel area for a couple of years now since a hair stylist used too much heat and damaged my natural hair. Evelyn is nursing it back to health, she doesn’t use excessive heat and has the best hair products I’ve ever seen at a hair salon. If you want your hair healthy and beautiful go to Evelyn! She is a sweetheart and makes you feel like a long time friend in seconds.

Evelyn is awesome! I came to her with my naturally curly hair wanting extensions! She has so many options. I decided to do microlinks, which has no glue or braids! How amazing! My hair is still thick, curly and healthy! Whatever hair need/want you have, she can do!

Nice lady and she knows what she’s doing . Called her to get my hair done and she was happy to fit me in her schedule. I wanted to use my Groupon but she refuses to but told me she can next day . I’m not sure what the next day or the current day has to do with when I use the Groupon . My hair is natural and I needed a perm really bad but she was only able to do wash and a blow out . I was happy with my hair until the next day it return to it’s normal state after I did everything not to get my hair wet . It’s my first time getting a blow out and I was very disappointed. I wasted 65 bucks that only lasted for one day .

I decided last minute that I needed a change and walked into this salon. I was looking for a salon that reminded me of home ( NY/NJ) in terms of relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing roller sets and I was not disappointed. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and my stylist was spot on with what would work for me as far as color. I went with a cut from waist length to shoulders and lighter demensional color! LIFE CHANGING! Beautiful. Almost a week later and I am still so thankful that I went here for my cut, color and roller set! I wil be returning with friends!

This use to be a good place to get your hair done NOT anymore. Evelyn no longer put oils or grease in your hair when she is finished. If she does a small amount not even enough to satisfy a baby hair. My hair is now dried out. Evelyn needs to give customers their monies worth. Another thing if you call her and tell her you want to come in at the end of the day she will tell you she will wait. However, when you get there she rushes down your hair because she has to leave. It is now time to take my business elsewhere.

Oh wow wow wow. Melody did an awesome job on my head. Haven’t had such a great wash and set since I left NYC and Orlando. The heat she used wasn’t super hot and she lightly trimmed the dead ends from my hair so that it looked so healthy again. Shiny and bouncy. I’ll be back! I really love this salon! The service was quick and efficient, the stylists are nice, most importantly, my hair looks great. I have transitioning hair so my hair is hard to manage but Evelyn not only made my hair look great and feel super soft, she also advised on what to do with my hair to make my transitioning process easier and more manageable.

New salon in main st. Laurel, right on top of Red, Hot, and Blue bbq rest. Place was nice and clean. Evelyn did a great job with my hair. I went in for a wash/set and trim. She recommended some products to correct breakage on my hair and was very nice. Give it a try!

I got my first blowout from her (I’m 4B natural African American hair) and I absolutely loved it. I used to pay over 60 dollars to get a dollar set and divas prices are unbeatable. My mother and I will become regulars

I have been to the salon twice. The first time was ok but she was trying to force me to get other stuff when I just wanted something simple. She takes all day to do simple styles. The first visit took 2 hrs and I just got a touch up and blow dry. (It think she over books) also when she was blow drying my hair she burned my scalp. On my second visit I got a deep condition and a blow out. It didn’t take as long this time but she was very rough. It felt like she was pulling my hair out. I got burned multiple times durning my blow out. Once she started flat ironing it she burned my ear multiple times. I had to move her hand because she wasn’t listening to me when I tld her she was burning me. She just kept saying hold your head over. At that point I was mad and I knew I would not be back. Once I was checking out the visa machine wasn’t working and while I was standing there a roach almost crawled in my wallet and I seen another one on the wall. I attached the picture to my review. Please go to my pics and review.I had to drive all the way to the ATM to pay her because her machine didn’t work. Sorry but never again.

I googled them and decided to give them a chance. My 1st impressions of the place was that it was CLEAN, spacious, and very inviting. I was geeted with a warm welcome and was offered something eat with the coffee that I had brought with me. Evelyn took the time to find out what my hair goals and expectations were before starting to work. She was very knowledgeable about natural hair care. She worked on both my hair and my daughters hair quickly but we never dealt rushed. She and Melody the other stylist were very professional and nice. They never gossipped or made any disparaging remarks about myself of other clients like other salons Ive been to. When I complimented them for not engaging in such behaviors, they told me that customer service was extremely important to them therefore they wouldnt want to offend a non-spanish speaking patron by holding a conversation in Spanish in front of them.I really appreciated that even though I understand some Spanish. I will definitely be returning to them. My daughter and I LOVE our hair and cant wait to return.

Evelyn did an excellent job on a blowout....I hadnt gone to a salon in over a year and half expecting inches to come off. She took her time and conditioned it well. I will definitely be coming back...I used a Groupon here with no problems and was seen on time.Update: I came here for a 2nd time before covid to do a blowout. A few months had passed since my first visit. Evelyn did the blowout but did not recommend pressing which I was okay with. A week later, I began to notice my hair was breaking off to the point that I had to cut it completely off by a professional beautician who told me it was damaged from overheating and the pulling from the blowout. She basically did the blowout even though she knew my hair was not in healthy condition to do so. I would not recommend coming here and never plan to again.
