The truck had none of the equipment I rented and none of the moving supplies I prepaid for. The customer service rep indicated in the same sentence that she could not change the moving supply orders AND that she canceled the order - very confused on what they have authority to fix.The final charge for my rental was placed on hold on my debit card twice. Corporate customer service says to wait 5 days for the chargeback so I’m out an extra $70 until then.The cherry on top was that I couldn’t complete my move without the furniture pads they could not provide. Don’t bother with this shop, find a smaller local truck rental and save your peace of mind.
When I got a 15 truck, I was told there it was at 1/4 tank and to return it at 1/4 upon getting in and starting it, it was at 1/8th. I took a quick picture and used the truck as I needed. When I returned it I showed them where the gas was at previously but brought it back at 1/4 tank anyways. They reimbursed me for the gas by taking off a chunk of what was due at the end of the rental, more than what I had put in it for gas. Super sweet and professional customer service. Will definitely be going to the Decatur and Oakey location again.
When I called to make the appointment I was quoted $148.00 for installation of a trailer hitch and the electrical wiring. The Decatur U-haul store charged me 3 hours labor at $90 hour but called me 1.5 hours after I dropped it off to tell me it was done. There is a major problem with the amount they charged me and the amount I was quoted. Not to mention the actual number of work hours they worked and charged me for.. I had a hitch installed at another U-haul store and it was $148.00. Is billing left to each store independently? I am pretty sour on U-haul products and services now. Enterprise and Ryder have good trucks and trailers and theyre cheaper.
Uhaul customer service is terrible. I reserved a trailer at a convenient location to me and they changed it somewhere further. When I went to pick up they told me they did not have a trailer and sent me to a third location even further from me. They did not have the decency to call me and even let me know that they did not have a trailer there. A quick phone call would have been appreciated instead I was hours behind to where I needed to be.
My pod overfilled and this uhaul had one trailer at the last minute. I didnt end up having the right lighting kit to pull a trailer. Nick went above and beyond to help me get what I needed and pull the much needed trailer. Omar did some heavy lifting to also make sure I was able to get my trailer. I highly recommend this location!!
Staff is awesome. I did everything online and I got to the pickup location right at 7. I work for storage too and always say in my head are you kidding me when u see a car pull up 5 minutes to clocking out. The gals in the office did not make me feel rushed at all. Thanks for being so patient with me.
This location has a very good system for renting a trailer and returning it. Friendly staff and much better managed than it used to be. The website needs a little work.

I must say that despite it being a busy morning, everyone I encountered was amazing ! I ordered a pickup truck and UBox. So I encountered several employees during the pick up and drop off process. I’m very pleased and grateful.... I’m moving from Vegas back to Chicago, to be closer to my elderly parents.... but my Dad ended up passing during the time of my move. Im dealing with a lot..... Moving isn’t easy but these employees work together and made this part of my life easier. Thank you all!!
Worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul the staff was absolutely not helpful at all. It started with the truck not being at the correct location and having to drive far to get to the next truck. Getting the equipment an hour late which made me late to many appointments. The staff inside not helpful. The staff that returned the item NOT HELPFUL. still charged for something I did not receive which I told would be taken care of. Now I have to call and deal with that you guys have taken SO MUCH OF MY TIME. I am not happy.

Watch for extra charges on top of extra charges with this location. I got my rental at 7:00am and returned it at 7:00pm with a full tank of gas and I was charged for gas and I was charged an extra day.They also forgot to put my equipment in the truck and I had to go back and get itThis location needs extra training for sure.
Worst experience ever - rented a 6x12 trailer to tow round trip 2,000 miles @ approx $30 per day (total cost approx $150-$200). After experiencing a medical emergency and needing to drop trailer and change contract to a one way, I was told the $749 one way charge would double to $1,500. Why in the world would you treat customers like that, wouldn’t you try your hardest to accolade??? After several U-Haul rentals, we will do our best to NEVER deal with them again. Good luck if you decide to try it......
They double charge my credit card almost every time 3 visits in a row now. I always have to call to get my moneyback. In would not recommend this place to anyone

More transparency about pickup location, I was told a different address for pickup when I booked. The confirmation call 24 hrs before my pickup no one said hey you pickup is at a different location and if I hadn’t checked my email and noticed the different address I would have gone to the wrong location.Also the deposit on the little screen said 60.00 and now I see my credit card was tapped for 600.00.Not at all cool.

Completely unorganized, only one person working check in and several people in line, many workers came in and out and offered no help, When it was finally our turn to check in she was short and disrespectful. We had to wait for what appeared to be the 1 guy actually working to get us our equipment when we finally got checked in and thankfully he was actually decent. When we returned our equipment there was little guidance on what to do.
I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I scheduled a hitch install and cargo carrier. The carrier wasn’t available as promised and then they sent me to another u-haul to get a hitch adapter. When I came back to purchase the cargo carrier a few days later they sold me a used one with missing parts and told me there are no returns.
The truck we rented was a 15 footer With a car transport. Due to Covid, they were not allowed to help us drive the car onto the carrier or even strap it on. Me and my 71 year old mother had to do everything on our own. It was clear they don’t wash their trucks or take pride in hygiene and mechanics as there was a dead bird stuck in the grill that looked like it had been there for days. The transmission definitely seemed on the fritz as we had to stop more than necessary due to the issues. There were plenty of new u-hauls in the back lot that weren’t even used and yet they’re giving their customers 10-15 year old trucks to drive cross country. Besides the actual vehicle issues, the staff was nice and somewhat helpful.

Decatur X Sahara is good location to rent from.
The male staff here are pretty rude and abrasive. I felt like I was an inmate returning the equipment. The female staff actually are quit nice and helpful. If I rented from here again I would make sure to only deal with the ladies and return after hours to avoid the prison guards and the purple haired warden. A note to this location and uhaul in general. When someone falls off the truck, dislocates their shoulder and then returns a truck 59 minutes late because of that, I understand paying a late a fee but charging an entire day is not only bad form but just pure greed from this “family friendly” company. No more uhaul for me, It’s Penske or Enterprise from now on.
The process from start to finish was effortless. The team at this location was helpful, got to the point and was friendly. I wish everywhere else was like this. Great job to this location!
I had an exceptional experience at this location. I had originally called to set up a rental but felt like I was being pressured into making a decision immediately. I decided to go into the store instead of making the reservation over the phone. Its a good thing that I did because I was given info that was incorrect over the phone. Once at the store, Crystal took care of me. Her customer service was exceptional. She was friendly, answered all of my questions, and took care of me in a timely manner. I will take care of all my future moving needs at this location because of the service she provided and will refer my friends also.

This location has horrible customer service they were rude and short and the manager did not even know Uhauls policies without pointing at a piece of paper she pulled from under the counter which she eventually put back under the counter when I sh I wed she was not following the normal procedure in my interaction. I will never rent from this location and for anyone looking for standard procedure and friendly people I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE.

Used the app to reserve and pick up the truck - FAIL. They did not put the keys to the truck in the lock box. Waisted 2 hours of my morning finding a new truck plus it was 5 miles each way ($.99 per mile) out of the way . I would not use U-haul

Easy rental and return was fast and very friendly staff.
I had a reservation for 9pm the previous night but because the app was not working, customer service was not answering, and the key for the truck I rented was not in the box, I had to come in the morning to pick up my truck and therefore had to load in the day time with 100-degree temperatures instead of during the night time and was not able to finish until late that day. It was a huge inconvenience and because I couldnt finish earlier I didnt get to sleep till late that night and could not go into work the next day because I was so exhausted and lacking enough sleep. It was extremely irritating and a horrible experience. The front desk also didnt help to try to relieve the situation or even make me feel better, for example, the lady who took my reservation couldnt even help me to figure out who or why my reservation was messed up or who messed up.Also 24/7 customer service for the 24/7 pick up didnt answer!
I was very upset to find after I made multiple reservations with U-Haul to rent a tow dolly or auto transport (which I was informed I could tow according to the compatibility check on the website as well as a live employee at the call center telling me I could after entering my vehicle information. Only to be turned away because after my vehicle information was entered into the compatibility program used at the physical U-Haul pickup location it was informing the CSR that it was not compatible. Ive rented trailers many times with little issue but the last two times it was such a hassle and complete waste of two days time painstakingly making duplicate reservations and being refused from different locations despite having a reservation confirmed to be applicable per the call center as well as the U-Haul website. I had a similar issue renting the tow dolly to tow the exact same vehicle the last time I had a rental from U-Haul so I dont understand why this time I was told I wasnt able to tow any trailer (at 1 location) but eventually was able to rent a auto transport at the Decatur location. The hassle, frustrations and lack of empathy for a situation caused by your company, not to mention valuable time and expenses I lost through no fault of my own has left a bad taste in my mouth. Now I consider other options if any before attempting to rent equipment from U-Haul as I feel its a waste of time to set up a reservation with U-Haul to be turned away without being able to have any alternative to a problem created by U-Haul. Pickup time is not a good time to find out you are basically screwed and have no recourse. Would not recommend U-Haul to my enemy for these reasons.
The staff is honest, competent, informative, and friendly. Ashley, who helped us several times, was amazingly helpful and went above and beyond to help us with a difficult move. The person managing our trailer hitch repair was informative and reassuring and helped us find out our hitch was under warranty, saving us money on am already expensive move. We would recommend them to anyone moving in Vegas.

Although the truck came with no gas, both of the young ladies that helped me that morning were excellent customer service. There was an error in trailer rental because I rented both a truck and trailer and the young lady fixed it no questions asked and sent me on my way. Plus they only had one young man pulling equipment for customers and he was hustling his butt. Very much appreciated. Again, great customer service... so thank you all very much.

The people here are great, my experience with renting a truck was decent. Theyve got a huge selection of boxes and moving supplies that are reasonably priced actually. Not terribly expensive. No matter what day of the week, theyve got every single size and every trailer for rent here. I watched the install guys install hitches on customers cars and being a mechanic myself, they definitely know what theyre doing from what I saw. Ive rented multiple times with zero issues.
Excellent and fast customer service from start to return of truck rental! I originally had 24/7 share 15 truck rental from a different location for 7:30am, but reason unknown, I couldnt complete truck self rental process. I called the next nearest open Uhaul truck rental location to complete my reservation. Here, I was able to get my clean truck and supplies in the fastest process Ive experience by customer service because she found my reservation in system and completed the process of rental! I used uhauls recommended moving service, Muscle Moverz (Scott and Brian were great), and they were on time to load/unload at 8am appointment. They were understanding and patient that they had to wait for me to show with truck! My moving experience with Uhaul was professional, fast, and I will use again and recommend to anyone.
I use this location about twice a month renting cargo vans for work purposes. I dont really have complaints. In person, the employees are helpful and polite. The vehicles are nice and come clean. If there was a small downside, its that calling in often takes several minutes on hold before you speak with someone, but thats pretty much par for the course. Id recommend this location of U-Haul.
Terrible. Not helpful in anyway. Multiple late notices and fees when we show on our banking statements that this has been paid for. Numerous people we have talked with and no resolution.
I normally refill propane tanks at this location once a week at least. On a good day it takes me about 20 minutes start to finish but sometimes like today just about 40 minutes. I didn’t complain I didn’t say anything but the stuff don’t apologize for any delays and just in general not a nice and welcome place unfortunately.
Was moving from Modesto to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago - In the reservation that i made online 3 weeks ahead it said i could pick up the trailer in Modesto, but on the day of pick up they instructed me to drive to Stockton (2 hours wasted on that and no compensation what so ever). 3 days later I arrived in Las Vegas, but even though my reservation said drop off was Sunday December 8th. I was charges for an extra day (Drop of was early Sunday December 8th.). I wrote them, multiple times and when I was so lucky to get a response they would respond with something like we dont really care. So all in all .. spent extra time, money on getting the trailer and then i had to pay extra for no apparent reason. U-Haul just dont care. I would advise to use ANYTHING else than U-Haul the next time you have to rent a truck or trailer.
Dont let customer park in front of the entire doors, or in the middle of your the parking lot,This will prevent near-miss ACCIDENT. Other than that keep up the good teamwork, great job.

Some people in these cases can get nervous and cause an accident because of the rushing its not safe and this guy was talking to her like if she knew was she was supposed to do in the returning areaWe paid to use the truck service not to do your employees job and if you guys dont have the option to skip this part I would rather to pay extra in another rental truck company.This system sucks plus you guys should have the option of gasoline reimbursement because if we return with less gasoline you guys charge a lot extra but if we over fuel it we dont get nothing back, so think about it if you dont want to lose customers
Moving is really stressful and I didn’t appreciate being ignored as I waited for someone to come process my return. The associate that assisted me was very short with his answers and didn’t really provide the best customer service. I’ve used Uhual before and they always greet you fast and with a smile. Plus they go above and beyond. These associates fell very short of that.
I originally ordered an auto trailer at the Buffalo location and when I arrived they did not have it. There was some sort of system error to where they had the trailer physically but not in their system which prevented them from renting it out to me. This was a huge inconvenience and cost me more time and money than necessary because of the fact that I was given a tow dolly and NOT an auto trailer like I had originally requested. For that reason alone I would rate my experience a 1 out 5 and highly dissatisfied with UHAUL; not the employees at this location, they were awesome.

Great place, we needed a hitch installed in order for us to carry a mobility scooter! and they did it quickly easily and hassle free most important! They work great the staff is great!
If you say no to their insurance, you will recieve their worst product first, in the case of trailers inspect very carefully they are trying to pass on to you the problem child rental. At the 1919 decatur branch in Las Vegas they pump some sort of awful, atrocious scent into the air, its an all-out assult on the offlactories. This is not an isolated incident, Ive rented no less than five times. Broken landing gear, bad tires.Also if Ive rented a specific trailer Tuesday and come back on Wednesday to rent again I want the same trailer, im not here to load test your fleet. You can refuse a trailer because of tire tread.
The billing was ridiculous and my Refund was not issued as promised. They bill u twice and the refund is supposed to land in 3-5 business days. Here I am 8 business days later with no refund and every time I call they put me on hold long enough for me to hang up once I tell them my issue
Had hitch put on. Very professional. Well organized installer. Good price on most hitch stuff. Better price than auto parts or home improvement stores. Easier place to buy bubble wrap and boxes.
Worst service reserved a 26ft truck ahead, day of pick up they give me a 17ft truck after they had run the card and walked outside to get the truck, when I asked i had a reservation for a 26ft, the assistant manager said they didnt have any 26ft in town even though i had made the reservation, and drove across town because they had toll me that was the only store that had 26ft, they called me at 12noon which was my pick up time to tell me that when I was there already, if there is reservations its to make sure you have what youre intending to rent otherwise why bother, If i reverse the transaction it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the money so I had to pay for a 17ft truck and pay for the miles to drive across town where i could have rented it 5min from our location. I do not recommend this uhaul location, never had any issues in the past with other u haul locations until today
Overcharged for a day, spoke with a child named Nick that says he is a manager. He was extremely rude and basically told me it is what it is. I’m being charged for another day. I was scheduled to bring this vehicle back at 6:30pm, I returned it at 6:22pm and was 19 miles under the estimate, which they charge at time of pick up. Not only was I charged for an additional day, I wasn’t refunded for the mileage either. I spoke with corporate and they agreed with me and are working on correcting this for me. I spend a lot of money at this location every year for my business & unless I get this corrected and Nick personally apologizes I’ll never spend one more penny there.
Lots of vehicles available, but wont reimburse if you overfill your tank on return, dont even ask.

Incompetent employees here displaying there lack of ability!!!! There lack of knowledge, judgment and skill shined through with even simple tasks like filling propane. The gentlemen gripped and cursed while he attempted this task and after 15 minutes I realized he wouldnt be able to pull it off. I guess that doesnt say that much for me as I let it go on for that long. Idk what the hiring process entails but its not a competency test. Id have to be really hard pressed to find myself back at Another Uhaul.
They were pretty busy when I was there so their customer service was of course rushed as there was a line of impatient customers. The girls in the office area did a great job handling the rush. They arent the friendliest but they did their job well. The store was clean for a uhaul center. Good choice of packing supplies. The prices are reasonable for packing supplies and in some cases cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot (some is key). Have rented from here many many times and always have the same experience.
What a horrible place!! They claimed I returned the 26 truck empty where I when to get gas just minutes before and returned the truck with half a tank in it. The next morning they called me claiming the tank was empty and Im responsible for it. I recommend dont do the drop off after hours because gas from your car just disappears!!! Welcome to freaking Vegas!!

This company towed the truck with all of our stuff in it because we needed to keep it for a few more days and they didnt want to wait an hour for us to pay the money the guy was rude and said he waited long enough how to tow truck come and take it away. When we called them and asked them where it was they told us for two weeks that it was in Arizona still and lied. Our truck had been in Las Vegas at their site on Decatur for a week when we went to pick it up all of our valuable items were gone our entire house was gone and all they did was leave as junk after they ransacked our stuff. The staff was extremely rude and lied they made us pay $1,000 to get back junk and what it allows us to see the truck until the money was in hand

I was in a rush and needed a trailer fast and the staff hooked me up and got me in and out in under 15 mins. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had shopping. Very knowleable and experienced.
!!!!ALERT!!!!!Dishonest employees. We rented a cargo van, upon return employees were consistently looking for a so called spare tire that was included. But they never showed us where it located and we didnt even knew its existence. They continued to try to charge us for that spare tire and ultimately gave up. NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Sabrina is a terrible manager and will call your husband behind your back after you tell her you will call her back. I will never do business at this location again nor will I recommend anyone else to. She refused to honor the call centers price and when she finally did agree to it she refused to provide a warranty on the hitch installation. Corporate has also been notified!
I went to get a truck. The line was at a minimum. The service was quick and easy. Within 1 hr i was done using the truck and everything was checked in, so off i went. Great job people
This company is horrible!!!! The supervisor MIKE IS A LIAR!!!!! They forced us to pay $1000 before we could get our stuff that was supposed to be in storage. It wasnt! It was on the truck still!!! And when we were allowed to see it all of our stuff was gone!!! They took my kids clothes, scooters, bikes, our TVs,DVD PLAYERS, stereo, computers,beds.. they took every box and container we had!!!!!!!!!!! They left 2.boards to my girls bunk beds but took the rest!!! They stole everything and cant seem to come up with an answer about the lock we had on the door being different!!!!!!

Over priced. I rented from a couple of other places and all have been cheaper with better service. Even home depot has a much better program. These guys tried to charge me for the insurance when I said no and it took them 30 mins to find a truck for me that was 15 mins away. Goodluck with overpriced gimmik of a company*edit* be warned, they do not buy back their boxes and such as promised. Aparently only certain locations* buy them back. Make sure to take pictures before and after of your miles and gas gauge.

I rented a truck and trailer to move out of state and not even 30 mins out of vegas i get a blowout witch it takes 2 and a half hours for them to come and fix so im stuck on the middle of the highway with my pregnant wife in the vegas heat waiting after that im about 3 hours out of vegas and i get another blow out witch takes another 2 and a half hours for them to fix you would think that they would have there truck and trailers inspected befor giving them out if i were you i would stay as far away from uhaul as possible spend money elsewhere
Manager Sabrina is awsome very helpfull, went out of way to help.
They are very helpful thought Id have a hard time but was surprised pleasant experience
