My son started classes once he turned 3, I was hoping that they would help his focus and listening skills. Three months later and he LOVES the class and has been improving. Thanks guys !!

My Experience here was a day to never forget to get to heart.When I arrived on September 16,2020 4pm for my Trial Run yesterday and when I stepped inside, it was a very clean and neat atmosphere under covid 19 guidelines in the dojo as well, I was getting setup with Genevieve as she greeted me warmly like family and she was very kind and helpful to heart with starting me up with my waiver and setting me up with Instructor John and Will assisted with my trial run free class of instruction. They were very caring for my back which I have L5-S1 Lumbar Left Herinated disc .I learned how to bow to Instructor John and Bow to the Flag 🇺🇸I did normal exercise,stretching, routine and basic instruction little self defense for my current security company .It was like a intro to what they teach you .Let me tell both very knowledgeable and straightforward.Sensei Bob Diamant taught them well.As a total beginner of Shaolin Kempo Karate i felt very welcomed like family.As A Future Student of USSD I would like to overcome my fears,and my pain with my mind,body,Spirit and with discipline. Just like a Bonsai tree I would love to grow my roots of skills and techniques in Shoalin Kempo Karate .Genevieve was also very helpful after class setting me up with my Groupon Code which was very reasonable starting out out at $39.00 for 20 class sessions and also it includes 1 full free uniform with ur belt i couldnt pass this deal up.I am Looking forward to my future family with USSD i wish i can give more than 5 🌟 .Was very happy to heart with my Experience .RespectfullyDavid Harper JrFuture Student of USSD

Love love LOVE this studio! Sensei Bob is a freaking rockstar...he can interact and instruct any kid, and knows exactly how to get through to them. Ive watched kids with behavioral issues go in for a couple months, and come out with more respect and control. Its honestly the best martial arts studio weve encountered as a family. So thankful for Sensei Bob!

We come up here Wednesday to checkout the place and just to show my son and his bestfriend if they wanted to try a martial arts. I forgot her name but she is very nice to show and explained to us everything that we need to know. We did not expect that they will start the class that day. Our kids enjoyed it so much and they are very happy, that they dont want to go home. Highly recommended

I took my son here because I wanted him to have some activity for summer. He has medical issues that can prevent him from doing activities at times. He loves the program at United Studios of Self Defense.He have been in the program for about two months and is still excited to get to class. He loves recognition when he works for it.I do like the principles of self development, my son has been understanding the discipline of his instructors.The instructors spends time to give meaning to their training of different style of teaching which my son and other students understands and they are all progressing in the class. I would personally recommend United Studios of Self Defense.

Our son loves this place! He is a very active 4 year old and we were looking for something to channel his energy. Sensei Bob and Paul have been extremely patient yet firm with my son. He can be very energetic but also shy and they have helped him to focus and concentrate. Everyone is very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this studio to family and friends. We are going to start our daughter as soon as she is old enough.

My daughter just started taking karate here for only a couple of weeks. She really loves it. It has helped her build confidence and discipline. The instructors are great. They make the kids feel comfortable and confident. This is a great studio I would recommend it to kids of all ages.

GREAT MMA/GRAPPLING CLASSES. David Howard really knows the fight game. I have trained for over 5 years at other gyms, and after training at this school for just one month my game has increased rapidly by fixing those other schools wrong techniques. David cuts out all the B.S. and gets you results!Side note: Ive lost over 20 pounds in one month.

I came into United Studios in 2005 just looking to learn how to defend myself against others. I was a closed off kid really shy and hid myself behind my hair for a long time. When I first started I made tons of friends and realized that I had gain more confidence in myself. The Instructors are amazing people that take the time to help you as much as possible with any problem youre facing. I have spent nine years training with United Studios and I have not been disappointed. You get to meet such amazing people and families. You could kinda say that once youre in United Studios you become part of a giant family.

Love it here! They are so kind and really make sure the children get individualized training. Jason is the sweetest! We have only been to 5 classes and already I see positive changes in my son. My son also loves coming here. Highly recommend for kids that have ADHD.

Spotted a Groupon deal for 20 classes (15 regular instructions, 5 private instructions) with uniform for 2. Prior to making the purchase, I called the studio (they were closed, but the call forwarded to a cellphone) and Bob was gracious enough to take the time to go over all the information with me so that I can feel confident to move forward with my purchase.Our children had attended classes elsewhere for a couple of years, and during that time belt testing felt more like a routine money-making scheme as children tested and advanced.On the kids first night of instruction, it became clear that we wouldnt be encountering that issue here. They are very goal-oriented and the kids are expected to perfect a certain skill in order to earn their badges, belts, etc.Additionally, their website has multiple how-to videos that assists your children (or yourself) to train properly at home.They currently have a 1 week free trial promotion going on...I strongly recommend giving it a try!!!

My son and I have been taking classes here for over 2 years. No matter what kind of week Ive had I always leave class with a sense of rejuvenation and happiness. Sensie Bob is wonderful! A true people person. The kids love him. The teens love him. And the parents love him.

This school is fantastic. The level of patience expressed by the instructors is unmatched. In fact, I am blown away nearly every time I observe the class. My son is five and I was hesitant in starting him so young due to previous challenges with other activities. Sending him here and watching him develop has been extremely rewarding. If you are looking to get your kid headed int he right direction in life, look no further than this facility.

I took a women’s self defense class here and it was super informative with lots of practical tips to keep you aware of your surroundings and helpful moves to keep you safe. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and patient while everyone else working at the dojo was really friendly. It was a great experience with very good energy. I highly recommend USSD!

My son started last week, and right after his first class said that he has loved it. The instructors are great with the kids and everyone makes you feel welcome. I recommend this place to all the parents looking for an after school activity for their kids.

Brought my twins in through a Groupon and its been the best decision I made. They have fun while learning martial arts. The instructors provide a nice balance between making the kids feel welcome but instilling the discipline and respect that is such an important part of the training. They both look forward to the classes and are advancing quickly.

We have been with USSD for a little over 6 months now and we love it! Our 14 year old has gained many skills in this relaxed and fun environment. She enjoys her classes and the friends she has made. We love the newfound confidence and that she has a great work out.

My kids love this place. My 8 year old has struggled with confidence and self-esteem for the last few years and can be a difficult kid to deal with at times. My 6 year old is...well, a 6 year old boy - very active and overconfident with little focus or attention. The instructors have been amazing with both personalities. After only three weeks, there have been surprising improvements in the behavior of both boys. I am excited to see where this goes.

I started coming here with a friend wanting to learn basic easy womens self defense techniques. These classes not only succeeded in teaching me what I came here to learn but also helped me with the confidence needed during life threatening situations. After a few classes I have noticed I am not as scared and stressed out when I am home alone at night. The drills used to teach techniques are fun and yet still challenging. I didnt expect to get such a good work out in every class. This place gets 5 stars for the instructors, the crowd, the classes and the over all experience!

Sensei Bob runs a top notch location, his dedication to making sure the martial arts experience is something special for each and every person who walks through his doors is remarkable. My kids were looking to start training in karate and based on the prior Google reviews, we gave this studio a try. There was a special going on where the first week was free. I filled out the interest section in their website and Sensei Bob emailed me back within a few minutes. He answered any questions I had and based on the professionalism, we showed up the next week and began classes.The kids were nervous at first, but the instructors made them feel at ease, but maintained a patient discipline with them. I was impressed that they were addressing and issues in behavior that arose, but in a gentle manner that was not demeaning in anyway. The students are given clear expectations and everything is demonstrated to them, which makes learning easier.I have nothing but good things to say about this dojo. The pricing is reasonable for what you get and as long as the kids are happy, we will keep coming here.I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

My 5 year old son started lessons here last week. I am very impressed with the instructors and the facility. Everyone is so friendly. They really make you feel welcome, right from the start. The owner said to me I am the owner, but this is your Dojo.

It has been an awesome experience. My daughters both love it and feel more confident. The senseis are very good and know how to works with children of all ages as my daughters are 6 and 10.

I joined the Unites Studios of Self Defense Canyon Gates location about 6 months ago with no prior knowledge of the martial arts. My goal was to learn basic self defense. I have learned an incredible amount in this short time from the group classes and private lessons. Sensei Bob and his two young proteges do an excellent job of teaching, motivating, and paying close attention to detail. I have gained much skill and confidence from their instruction, all while having fun, and look forward to my ongoing education.

Absolutely love this place! My two kids are enjoying. They are thrilled attending their karate class. they love to attend 3-4 times a week. At first, they warm up as a whole group and divide up to small group in which they have certain obstacles set up for them to gain their skills as individual or as a partner. I have two kids enrolled in this dojo and I cannot be more proud of how my kids have grown. I originally brought my kids in just to remove them from my couch! Lol I did not expect the transformation that comes with it. My kids have not only gained physical coordination but mental sharpness. My kids also have been a huge help at home as well, taking on task they ask for! The drive this dojo has instilled in my kids is reflected in the kids smiles after every class!

With all of the studios around town, youd think USSD Canyon Gates would fall into the mix. Nothing could be further from the truth. My child not only gets focused instruction and individual attention, but she also receives the coaching to build her confidence and prepare her for adversity. Sensei Bob is an amazingly patient and talented instructor, and his staff echoes his style. I would never consider another studio because I know for a fact that nothing compares to USSD Canyon Gates.

There is no place like United Studios once you take classes here you find yourself enraptured in the dojo atmosphere. the people here are kind hearted and willing to help at any moment, once your a part of United Studios you will make friends that will last for a life time. All you have to do, is spend one hour watching a group lesson and what you see in action and what you see on these kids faces will convince you that USSD indeed is a class act martial arts instructional academy. I like the nice and funny senseis Paul, Bob, and Dave.I m glad they give us stretches in the begining so we dont get cramps.This is the most fun class Ive ever took,the other karate class I took was horrible.

My son started at this studio 1 year ago at the age of 4. The class schedule is very easy to work with. When he gets out school we have time for a snack and homework before we go to the dojo for class. When you walk in the door it is very professional from start to finish. The training is personalized and the instructors (Sensei”s) Jason, Josue and Bob take the time to really help the kids. Because he was so shy at first he did not want to participate. Sensei Bob was really patient with him; He allowed him to only take part in the portion of class that he wanted. Sensei said it’s better that he has a successful 10 min class then a 45 min failure”. He built off of that and within 2 weeks my son was taking the full class. Ive defiantly seen increased confidence and discipline but I must say what’s most impressive is his ability to focus and complete tasks. I get to see my son interact with his classmates. They compete against each other and work together in different exercises. It’s fun for them and really fun to watch. The studio has incentives for the little guys to stay focused and work hard during the class. My son has 8 daily achievement patches and 2 program patches. He was also honored with the student of the month November 2014. I want to give this studio my highest recommendation and I hope to see you there.

This dojo by far has the best senseis in the las vegas area. We have recommended it to plenty of our sons friends parents.

AFTER TALKING TO JONATHAN, NANA AND I CALLED SENSI BOB. WE DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM &ASKED FOR ADVICE. SENSI BOB WAS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT KIDS & NOTICED JONATHANS HEART AND STRENGTH. WE PUT HIM IN A KIDS CLASS TO SEE IF WE COULD BUILD HIM BACK UP AND GIVE HIM THE TOOLS THAT HE NEEDS TO OVERCOME BULLIES &TO BECOME HIS OWN PERSONAL SUCCESS. MY SON HAS GAINED RESPECT,SELF CO FIDENCE, SYMPATHY FOR OTHERS, DISCIPLINE &HOW TO BECOME A HEALTHY TEAM MEMBER.
