I have been coming to A Tailor Alterations for a couple of years now. Maria is always delightful, and I trust her with all of my sewing needs - from making tablecloths or runners, napkins and tea towels, to alterations in pants, tops and dresses. Recently, Maria altered three vintage dresses from my mother-in-law (priceless to me), and practically recreated a skirt I had bought in Uganda. She sends out texts when my order is done, but I usually call her before trekking across town. She is experienced and capable, kind and hardworking, she prices her services reasonably, and I highly recommend her.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND customers to go to this tailor shop at all!!!I went here the first time last 6 months ago and when I came to pick up my pants I wasn’t even done and she appeared confused so I have to come back the next day very unhappy with the service.I went back after few months to get my uniforms done and I have to tell her I’m willing to add extra pay for her to do her job on time and perfectly and of course she declined and did a good job.Today, as I’m getting ready for the holidays —— SHE DID IT AGAIN!!! MY PANTS WASN’T DONE and I have to wait for her to fix it. While I was waiting for the fix another customer showed up and and sadly the owner/tailor did the same thing to these customer—> going home empty handed because she wasn’t able to fulfill their dress order.DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE if you want to end up disappointed especially if your clothes that’s needs alteration like wedding dress, uniform etc require time frame.NEVER AGAIN!
