Ever since I moved to the southwest Vegas area almost 10 years ago, I have always used Ashton’s Classic Barbers! I LOVE getting my neck trimmed with a straight blade vs. a standard clipper. If I’ve ever had an issue the barber or owner, they’ve never taken offense and always did what they could to fix the situation.It was not until I got my hair cut here that I learned I was washing my hair improperly in addition to using the worst kind of shampoo and conditioner for my hair type. Before I made Ashton’s my home barber, I had dry scalp issues which caused that embarrassing dandruff. Afterwards and changing hair product type, I’ve never had the same issue and I didn’t know my scalp and hair were in such poor condition which was repairable.This isn’t a male only service because the business name says barber. I’ve only ever seen one male stylist/barber working while all the others are female. I’ve seen whole families come in together for their hair cuts/styling (men and women) and they always leave with a big smile.Lastly, in the past I’ve always hated the generic conversations stylists try to have while cutting hair but not the same case at Ashton’s. It’s either been good conversations or if I’m not in the mood for talking the barber doesn’t take offense. Keep up the great work team!

We tried here twice. Never again. Unprofessional and bad cuts with two different hair stylists.The first time we came in, we didnt know how this place works if they take appointments or not. Because some places around here doesnt. We did a walk-in. They said the wait is 5 minutes. We ended up with this lady 5th chair from the front door, by the restroom. She was awful. She made my husband waited (20 minutes) for his haircut while she was on the phone chatting to where Barb went to her and told her someone is ready for his cut. It took her another 5 minutes to take him. Then in the middle of cutting his hair she was on the phone again chatting. This is very unprofessional. Her cut was awful, probably because she wasnt focus on cutting my husbands hair. It came out uneven. Stay clear from this lady.Now the second time was today.....From reading the reviews, its Barb who seems to do the best cuts here. I called in yesterday for a haircut with Barb. I spoke to Barb yesterday and I cant remember if she took my number down, but I dont think so. I would think most place will ask for your number if they dont have it on their caller ID. I was thinking nowadays, every business has caller ID. Anyways, we showed up at 2:55PM today for my husbands haircut appointment at 3:00 PM today with Barb. I was thinking how unprofessional it was that its 3:05 PM and no Barb. Then this lady the 4th chair from the door said, Whose up next at 3:10 PM? I told her, we have a 3:00 PM appointment today with Barb, shes not here? She told us, Barb wasnt feeling well and left. Im thinking at the same time, you have got to be kidding me, how unprofessional is this place? I was going to tell my husband to come back, but he just went with that lady. Let me tell you, he hates going to get his haircut. Now this lady was BIG HUGE MISTAKE!!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS LADY!!! Its the worst of the worst Id seen. She cant cut hair. From showing her a photo of what my husband wanted, it was far from what he wanted and she cut a big hole in the back of his head. Like what the heck lady?!?!?! She knew I was going to say something, she literally grab the money from my husband and walked away in the back somewhere.Were done trying to make it work out with this place. Its not really all that great as everyone else said it to be. Unprofessional not calling to cancel someones appointment. The other two morons in chair 4 and 5 doesnt know how to do a simple haircut.

Awesome, old-school barbers and Diann knows her stuff. Come in with minimal idea of what you want and come out with a look that fits your face. Great prices for a fantastic classic cut. Quick availability with cool, eclectic design.

This place has a sign. That says walk in welcome. So I walk in. On a Thursday morning. Two workers asking if I have an appointment. So I said no. Trying to explain what I needed. Which was an easy clean up of my neck area. But they wouldnt listen. They only said to make a appointment and come later. Rude workers. I will stop sending my people to this barbershop. The best thing about this that I found a beter barbershop called Iced out barbershop maybe 2 miles away. This place is 100% beter

Ive been seeing Amanda for a haircut almost every other week for the last 6 months. Not sure why I didnt start coming here sooner. Best barber in the valley for a great price. Highly recommended!

This is not like a chain store barber. All of the barbers here are independent & rent their space so its cash only. Everyone is friendly & good at what they do. They do accept walk-ins but keep in mind, many people go here regularly with an appointment. SUNDAYS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. & thats IF theyre open. Again this is a great place for a quality cut, beard trim, & shave but I wanted to share some insight before somebody goes in expecting a take a number chain store experience.

Barb is the best. You cant go wrong getting your hair cut here. Everyone there does it the right way. Not enough good barber shops like this one left out there.

Horrible customer service. Im glad Im not the only one who noticed this. After reading the bad reviews I feel comfortable to rate this place as low as possible. If you want good customer service and a good fade youll just have to drive a bit to get it.

On January 9, 2018, I walked into a barbershop near the office, and it was jam-packed. The young man said to have a seat you dont need to sign in, seemed cordial. Do you take credit, I said, and the lad replied cash or gold in so many words. I only had ten dollars on me, so I left.The next day I went back with cash in my pocket. I might add, too, no one even said a word to me when I walked in. Perhaps, I should have been more direct and initiated a conversation. Everyone was busy, and I took a seat. There was no sign indicating by appointment, so I assumed I would be next; I was the only one in the shop at that time. Five minutes past and another customer came in shortly afterward, and the owner (Im assuming) took the customer ahead of me after he finished with the current client.Again, no one asked me any questions.Do you have an appointment would have been a good start? Are you hear to see someone? Hi, thank you for coming in, have a seat.Nonetheless, I got up and walked out without saying a word. It is a shame because we have a new office down the street with many employees. I was looking forward to getting a sheer cut there on a regular basis.I cant honestly give them a rating I can only share my experience. This barbershop is getting business, so something is going right. Perhaps, implement a greeting policy for new customers.

Seems the prices went up but the service went down in the past year. Used to love coming into get that real barber touch but now it feels like they are just rushing through it all.Hopefully it was just an off day when I have gone in. Has been the only place cutting my hair for a few years now.

Went in for a hircut and was not disappointed. Did a great job and the guys were very personable. Price was $17 which I have found is very reasonable for the Valley. Enjoy a beer while you get a haircut. This place is a Classic American barbershop. Look forward to one day taking my son there to experience a little AMERICAN culture! Will return and recommend.

My husband has been having Barb cut his hair for about 6 years now. Shes always done a great job, and from the first time really listened to exactly how he wanted his hair done. She gave my son his first hair cut before he was a year old, and hes been going ever since. He loves sitting up in the chair all by himself, and Barb has always been amazingly patient with him. Due to the crew at Ashtons, he has never gone through a phase of being scared or fighting hair cuts.

Used to be good, raised the price from 18 to 20 within the last year to help with inflation, but the quality of the cuts just got worse. The different barbers dont even shave a line in for a comb over, they just cut the hair around it. Place is pretty lifeless...

I walked in to get a haircut and signed my name. They were open for another hour and a half and there was two people ahead of me with three barbers so I figured I would be fine. 5:00 rolls around and two of the barbers arent calling on me and Im the last one in the waiting area, and theyre totally ignoring me. Finally one of the barber ladies asks if Im waiting for someone and I say No.. She asks the other two barbers if they can take me and they both in total annoyance say they have appointments at 5 (only one of the appointments was there), and so the lady talking to me just gives me a blank face and a bunch of Ums and Hmms. At this point, the other people in the barber shop are snickering at me so I say Should I just come back? And she goes Well, I dont know.. to which I said Well neither do I. She told me that after she was done with the current haircut that she had an appointment at 5:30. After I looked at her with a Are you seriously telling me no one can cut my hair and made me wait close to 40 minutes to tell me! look, she offered to try and fit me in in 15 minutes. So instead of sitting in the waiting area for another 15 minutes and feeling more embarrassed than I already did, I left. Im only writing this in the hopes someone from Ashtons Barber reads this and knows that you made me wait like a total idiot there and made me leave super embarrassed and its really disappointing that you would do that to someone who is trying to GIVE YOU MONEY for a haircut, which Im sure you could care less about because obviously you dont need my money to keep your lights on. Thanks for nothing.

Awful customer service, says on the door they accept walk ins, but then no one bothers to even acknowledge you or tell you how long the wait might be. Crabby employees that can barely cut their way out of a paper bag. 2 hours and a crappy haircut later, we will never EVER give this place business again. Clearly pride in ones work is less important than watching the current movie they have playing on t.v.

Not from Vegas and on a visit for my husbands volleyball tournament. Barb (female) is awesome and owner of this establishment. We stumbled upon this place as we were having lunch a few doors down at Isand Flavor (A+++ Hawaiian Food). As I waited, Barb offered me a complimentary beverage (wine, beer, margarita) which was really nice of her. I mean its Vegas right? I had Barb cut my hair. She did a fantastic job! Exactly what i asked for and better. Exceeded my expectations! She was so personable and we had some great laughs during my session. My husband and I liked it so much that we even went back to Island Flavor to buy her a dessert that we liked and took it back just for her. Its been about 3 weeks and we are back in Vegas and will be getting a fresh cut with Barb. Highly recommended. You wont be disappointed. Go check our Barb at her barbershop. - Ku... a vegas visitor

Went there for a haircut, the barber never introduced himself to me which i thought was kind of rude the haircut was average and they only take is cash which I didnt see a sign to that effect anywhere.( I might of missed it..i dont think so)they did have an ATM THERE THOU..iam been nice giving 3 stars hopely they make some changes..not going back

Came here 2 weeks ago because it says open on Sunday from 8-1. I showed up at 12:30p and the Barber was sitting in her chair on her phone. The door locked and the open sign turned off. So this time I came at 10. Now she says she can’t fit me in. This place is pointless to go to.

Three stars for a good atmosphere and clean shop, not super friendly, felt like I couldve gotten this quality cut from a Supercuts.
