Great place to be tested for HIV and STIs. Also provides a needle exchange program for IV drug users. Provides free syringes and various other supplies to them. Receives used sharps by bringing in a sharps container, Emptying the container into a giant sharps container, and based on the average container holding about 100 syringes, they return you 100 new syringes, so you will get into the habit of a fresh point for every stick. They used to pay $5 per sharps contain, but funding dried up. They work very closely with the New Mexico Department of Health to schedule any further testing and follow-up requirements.This only covers what little I know about Alianza of New Mexico.
