I go 4 to 5 times a week love it there! Classes are amazing

Judgement free zone is exactly what I love about this location! All of the staff members are so fun, friendly and knowledgeable/helpful!! Kayla is my favorite, shes so awesome and encouraging! I feel amongst friends with the staff and fellow customers.

I dont feel they deserve 1 star... Very rude staff! Amber, Taylor, and Eric. Just getting the managers Eric or Mark to talk to you is like pulling teeth. They leave it for the staff to speak to you who have no idea whats going on I was told in March prior to having knee surgery that I could put a freeze on my account. That never happened they continued to bill my checking account for April, May, and June until I finally realized I was still being charged. When I called them I was told I needed a doctors note and had to write an explanation of why I needed to freeze my account. In March it wasnt an issue supposedly they were just going to freeze it. So now that I have written my exclamation of why, and my Orthopedic surgeon has submitted his note I still have yet to see a reimbursement. I had to pay my bank $33 so they could not take another $23 dollars from my account considering I received a text I was going to be billed again on July 17th. When I am released to go back to the gym it definitely will not be this one! What a joke!! Do not allow them access to your bank account is my advice.

I canceled my membership in November and it is now June and they decided to access my bank account and take money out. I called them and they refuse to return my money. They said I should certify a letter of cancellation if I can’t just come in and do it person. Seems like asking for a certified letter is a little odd like if it’s not certified does it get thrown away so they can continue to take money.

PF has changed my life ever since joining shortly after they opened in my home town. It is always clean, the locker rooms are great, shower is nice. Best of all is all the wonderful people who work there and people you meet, who workout there.

My fiance and I absolutely love the Planet Fitness in Lapeer more so than any of the other area Planet Fitness. The facility is always very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you especially the manager Eric, and the people who use the facility are very down to earth and not egotistical at all. Just an excellent place to work out at.

I love this place! The staff is very nice and they always feel welcome. The gym is clean! By far the best gym Ive belonged to.

Pretty good my husband isnt fond of the breeze you get in the showered from people coming and going.

I come here everyday. The staff is friendly. This place is clean. I never feel uncomfortable working out here. Its a great value for fitness and tanning

Called to cancel after mask mandate, employee “froze” my account until I could make it up there to sign a cancellation form and told me I wouldn’t be charged. They continued to charge me, not a bad place but employees don’t always do their job and most the times I was in there I had to wait for the employees to finish talking to their friends so I could check in. Wouldn’t recommend.

This gym is extremely clean and well kept. Locker rooms are very nice and the locations are centered in the gym which is a plus. I have a question though that I am at a complete loss of thought and words for as to how this is deemed appropriate. Planet Fitness sports itself as a top gym for new gym goers and promotes its safe lifting environment through the lunk alarm and many notes and signs throughout the gym on how to behave and what is appropriate to wear. It lists examples of things you cannot wear, opened toed shoes, sandles, string muscle shirts for men... etc. Here is what makes absolutely zero sense to me. Men are being told they cannot wear certain muscle shirts, and that is being fairly enforced which is the right thing. However, there has been countless times I’ve been in this location, and many others, from here to the west side of the state, and I see women are allowed to wear just a sports bra and spandex or leggings. Please tell me how this is not considered gym intimidation towards women when they get to see other girls completely exposing their bodies and why it is not being enforced. I have asked several women about this who workout at PF that feel discouraged the same way a guy does by seeing a big strong man in a string muscle shirt. This is the reason for it being 3 stars and not 5 and I would greatly appreciate a response because looking at this for how it is, this seems greatly inappropriate.

Always been a fan of P.F. nighttime was real low of people, so I didnt have to worry about social distancing.

Big scammers...I never resigned a contract after April 1, 2020. They will not reimburse my money they took out in September and 2 transactions in October. So now I have to sue! I was planning on going back in the future but they just lost my business

You get what you pay for. If a gym doesnt have a squat rack with a freestanding barbell/power rack is it even a gym? And dont try to tell me a smith machine or a curl bar constitutes a barbell. I get that youd have to eat the liability but thats what you have trainers for, right? The machines are nice and the price is 👌 but come on, i shouldnt have to pop between locations to finish a workout. Smith machines are made for calves and heavy overhead work, not benching or squatting. Also they cost 3x what a decent rack does.

Employees are friendly, gym is clean, equipment works what more can you ask for!

New to the gym but love it so far.

First time there, never went to a gym in my life. Candice is amazing! If youre there at night look for her. She made sure I knew all there was available, and made me feel super comfortable. I went in knowing literally nothing and in 15 minutes I felt like i had a grip on things. Also they keep it super clean. Make sure everyone is wiping down. Its a great deal, seriously so worth it. Plenty of spaces, lockers, showers. Ill be seeing them tomorrow. Way to make me feel comfortable Candice! Thank you! Also she took a second to say hi to regulars, just a hello as they came in. She even helped us while checking in people efficiently. Super sweet.

I am not happy with my local Planet Fitness - I pay for a Black Card membership, meaning I am to have access to the tanning & massage features. My membership is supposed to give me 24/7 access however my local PF decides it is more convenient for THEM to shut the WHOLE black card area off at once 4x’s a day so they can clean the rooms.This makes no sense to me - you could close down half the area or two rooms at a time... there is no reason you can give me that will justify PF limiting my membership and denying me access to what I pay for - a paying customer should never have to wait 20 minutes for staff that is available 24/7 to clean rooms.

Love this. I feel like anyone can go here and it truly is a no judgement zone. Anyone regardless of age or weight should not hesitate. Any exercise is better than none.

Cleanest facility around with top notch equipment and a warm welcoming staff!

Good clean gym with a wide range of equipment. If you are looking to use free weights however there are definitely better gyms out there. This is a comparable Planet Fitness to other Planet Fitness locations I have been to.

Just stopped by to check out the facility and pricing. Mark gave us the tour and great information on how to use this facility and our our of town facility for all their worth.Very clean and not crowded. Certainly enough equipment to go around.

Sorry I dont use a gym, I am the machine, just because Im old, sick& week but there was a day a few decades ago, I hit 1300, thats 130 10 times a day push ups same amount for crunches, and then deep knee bends.150lb still a little dude one-half percent body fat ready for anybody Im old now cant keep up the pace. I told my doctor if I had any idea I would have lived this long I would never have taking such good care of myself chi ha ha ho ho 😜

Cool place to work out

Awesome clean facility. The 30 minute workout express is great for people like me who are always on the go. Allie did an amazing job explaining the core of the gym and the spirit of Planet Fitness!

I have been a member of the Lapeer MI gym for 5 months. Very busy on most visits but they have plenty of equipment so no waiting. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Locker room is spotless.

Cant say Im really into fitness but I love being able to reward myself after a workout with tanning, a hydro massage or total body enhancement in the black card spa.

Nice but lake Orion is my go to spot. Nice lil gym though

They literally never have tanning beds available. I moved out here in October and have probably only had a bed available maybe a handful of times. If you know people would like to use a bed rather then a hex maybe you should cater to that need. Such a waist of money.

Great time

Love this gym so far. Only complaint (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is EVERY time I have gone, it seems like they care more about people signing up than those members that are having to stand in a line just to check in. Its a little annoying to have to wait there for 5 minutes while only ONE worker is at the front desk. I shouldnt have to ask someone to scan my black card before im even acknowledged as standing there . Only been told to have a good day once since Ive gone here too.

Worst PF EVER!!!! Staff is rude and unknowable. Black club membership is a joke. They shut the entire club down for cleaning rather than one room @ a time. Tanning is booked for 2 hours, should be first come first serve instead of wasting 20 min blocks for people who only need 6 mins. Joke of a gym

Fun place to work out. Lots of machines, never have to wait for one.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere including employees; however, employees on the midnight shift are disgruntled and not friendly. This is very unacceptable and I am unsatisfied and displeased considering this location has only been open for a few months and first impressions mean alot in todays society. Not happy.

Wow! Cannot believe Dunhams used to be at this location. Up to date equipment, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable monthly rates, very nice tanning beds. Most importantly its CLEAN and well maintained, including the locker rooms! Very impressed with this place, love having it in Lapeer!
