This place is a joke. It looked like there were better reviews for it than the small engine place closer to my house, so I gave it a chance - mower wouldnt work, so I paid over $70 to get it working again. Brought it home, and it still doesnt work. Refused to refund over the phone - they want to bring you through the hassle of taking it back in again. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time on these clowns.

These folks know small engines! I brought my part in and was greeted by friendly staff. They knew what I needed to fix my rotor tiller, and this before I told them what I thought I needed. Quick in and out and I was back in business. One more thing, I was recommended to go and see these guys by one of my neighbors and this after Home Depot and Menards didnt have what I needed.

I took my small generator to Darolds for a tune up in Augest. Never got it back until December. He charged me 110 to do the tune up and when I ask why so much his response was Ill give you 100 dollars for it. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE HIM.like the other person said...RUN AWAY FROM THIS GUY..

Run do not walk away from this place! There has to be a better small engine repair in Lansing. I dropped a rototiller off there in May to have a simple belt put on, and here it is the end of July and they dont even contact me to tell me what theyre doing. After they had it for about a month I called to check up, and they couldnt find it in there. When I walked in that afternoon, it was 5 feet from the service desk, and their excuse was their children changed the tag on it.

This was my first time coming here and I was shocked by the friendliness and the high quality customer service I received. If you need a lawn mower or a part for it, or if you need your mower serviced just come here and you Darold or one of his workers will help you out; you have my word on that.

I stopped in to ask about my lawnmower. It was smoking and I thought it was the head gasket. They gave me some free advice and sold me a fuel shut off for a few dollars. It fixed my problem, my lawnmower was siphoning gas into the carb and draining into the crank case. It was just cool of them to do that for me. Thank you guys.

Horrible experience, good mechanics or not. Dropped my lawn mower off to get repaired. The problem was they fixed my lawn mower before calling me to tell me what was wrong and asked if I wanted them to proceed, then told me I had 7 days to come pick it up or its basically theirs. You dont take a car in to get fixed and they fix it first before telling you whats wrong and ask you if you want to proceed or they keep it. Bad for business.

Trully the best in the business growing up my dad always got our parts through darolds and i started going there a few years ago great pricing friendly staff i wouldnt go anywhere else for my small engine needs
