This place is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Company charged me core fee up front and never worked on my equipment. Kevin then challenged me to a fight because I wanted my money back.

DO NOT TAKE A MACHINE HERE EXPECTING TO GET IT BACK, working or not! Took my Stihl chainsaw in to repair, after months of not hearing from them, I called, but was told they had no record of it. Went to the shop so they could scan the work order, they couldnt find my chainsaw and their record was false. Was told the owner would call for restitution, he never did. Went to the shop again, the attendant got the owner on the phone who asked why did you take so long to check on your property? and offered no resolution. I still have no chainsaw or the $40 bench fee! How is this thieving company still in business?!

Broke the pull on my Cub Cadet Leaf Chipper Vacuum. Was quoted weeks everywhere else. When I dropped off he said he was short staffed and could take a week or more. It was ready by the afternoon. I picked up and it looked like a new machine - cleaned up, tuned up with a new pull cord. Great work - fast and reasonably priced.

Chain saw repair. This company is listed on the Poulan website as an authorized service repair location for warranty repairs on Poulan products. My chain saw was under warranty so I took it there to replace a broken vibration spring. They had the saw for 59 business day and never did make the repair. I called periodically over the 59 business days and was told it was being worked on but every spring they were sent was the wrong on. On the day I picked up the saw, I questioned the front desk person as to why it was so difficult getting the correct spring from the manufacturer, thats when I learned that they are authorized for repair by Lowes and Menards and not the manufacturer. Plus, the saw was returned to me in a partially disassembled condition; thats not how it was when I initially dropped it off. I asked to speak to the owner that day and was told he was not there but would be in the next day and she would have him call me. He never called! That doesnt surprise me given how the place is run and the very poor or non-existent workmanship I saw relative to my saw. I would not recommend doing business with this entity.

If i was able to give a zero I would. I took my weed whacker in to have the rope replaced which is a fairly simple fix. Then over 6 weeks later it still wasnt done and finally when it was completed it had a cut in the plastic so its immediately starting to fray again and now it wont even start. I highly recommend you dont take your stuff to be worked by this guy!!! You will regret it...

Took my push mower in for a tune up, was quoted $60 which I thought was a bit steep but I agreed and paid their $40 bench fee which they explained would go toward the $60 tune up fee.I said oh so I will only owe $20 when i pick it up? They said yes. When I returned to get my mower I was handed a bill totaling $114.33!!! I showed them their own coupon advertising $60 tune up special, and they said that didnt include SHOP FEES and PARTS. They said they also had to replace the blade, and I reminded them I said only to sharpen it and asked why I wasnt called if they were going to do more. they simply said it needed it. When I reminded them they said I would only owe $20 they insulted me futher by saying they wouldnt have told me that. And the FEES they tacked on? One was a Shop supply fee- $6. What the hell is that?BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!$114.33 FOR A PUSH MOWER TUNE UP??????????

Took my 10 hp Mercury boat motor to them because it wouldnt start. They assured me they had experience with outboards and could fix it. They had the motor for over 2 months, did some repairs but could not make it run properly but Mark, the mechanic, wanted to keep trying. After multiple inquiries with no results, I finally told them I wanted the motor back. Then Kevin, one of the owners, got involved and asked me to give them one more chance. They kept the motor another week and still could not get the motor to run. When I came to pick up the motor, I was presented with a $400 bill but they could not find the work order to show what repairs had been done. They told me they would keep looking and mail it. I never received anything in the mail and Ive been back in twice but still no work order. So, now I have a motor that still doesnt run properly and no idea what has been done to it. Even 1 star is overrated.

I took my broken lawn mower that wouldnt stay running into C&K small engine repair in Lansing. A man named Mike took my mower back and within a day he got it running and even though its a quite a few years old now it will probably last quite a few more years. And the cost is very competitive.

What ever you do dont get ripped off by this dude... All my lawn mower needed was a new air filter and throttle spring that I could or probably ordered online for 20 bucks but I decided to get it repaired here and I got charged 104$ not including the 30$ rush fee... I even suggested he could keep the lawn mower if he gave my money back.... What a mistake

Everybody except Cathy and the delivery man were very hostile. Gave them my snowblower near the beginning of winter, didnt get a call about it until after it stopped snowing. Due to health issues i was unable to receive the delivery until today and they had the audacity to not let the delivery man (who was very kind and respectful!!) Leave my house until they received payment. They had called me THIS MORNING letting me know it was coming, and I guess just assumed I had that kind of money on hand. Its remarkable they care about receiving their money IMMEDIATELY after I did not even get to use my snowblower ONCE. Would not recommend if you want your repair done in under 2 months. Would not recommend if you dont like being spoken to like a cheat or a criminal. Learn to fix the thing yourself before you even think of giving this place your business.

I bought a MTD Yard Machine push mower from Menards and the same day it broke. No biggie, it was a cheap mower and was under warranty. C & K was the closest listed authorized MTD repair shop so i took it to them. They were very kind when I dropped it off, however, the did complain that I brought in a MTD repair and how annoying warranty repairs were and kept bringing it up. It concerned me a bit but I brushed it off and went my way. After 2 weeks of not hearing back from them, i reached out to them just to find out they still havent looked at it. A week later, still nothing, so I reach out and find out they still havent looked at it. I then get a little pushy and ask that they look at it. The owner says he will and will reach out to me within the hour. Again, no call. It has now been 4+ weeks and i do not have a lawn mower nor a clear answer on if it will be repaired under warranty or not.(Should have guessed this wasnt going to go well when they wouldnt shut up about how annoying warranty repairs are) Very unprofessional and slow. Would not recommend bringing MTD warranty repairs to this shop.

I brought my weed whacker into C&K small engine repair because it kept cutting out and would not stay running. When I got there a man took it right back and in no time had it running like it was brand new. I am so happy with the job he had done so I will suggest C&K to everyone I know for their small engine problems oh and they are very fair price wise also.

Very dissapointed! They called to tell me my mower and trimmer were ready but left no message and never called back. So my equipment sat at the shop for an extra week for no reason, until I finally called to see if it was done. They said they would do a tune up on my mower and it would save me $10. But nowhere on the work order or on the receipt did it show a $10 discount. They also replaced my mower blade without asking me. It wasnt on the work order and no one called to see if I wanted that done. Cost me an extra $20 and the blade they replaced was brand new. They said that the blade would not work on my mower, but I had mowed my yard twice w it and it worked just fine. When I told them this, they then said that it must of vibrated and shook badly. Once again it, worked just fine. Then they said the blade was an inch or two shorter than the proper length. Untrue. I measured the blade before I bought the replacement and matched it up before installing it. Also, after having to ask for my blade back, I matched it up to the one they installed and it was EXACTLY the same length. Also, they did a tune up and replaced the carb kit on the mower and it cost more than a recent trip to my auto mechanic. BEWARE! They charge $70 per hr for labor! Rediculous for simple mower repair! Almost twice their bench/inspection fee. Also, they were unable to repair my weed trimmer. They said the engine was seized because there was no oil. But the trimmer was practically new and I highly doubt it could of burnt up the oil that was in it. I would not trust them to work on any of my equipment again. Find a better, more professional company. Also, my weed trimmer was returned to me in pieces in a box. They didnt even bother to return it in the condition which I brought it in.

I wish Id read the reviews before taking my snowblower to this place. Don’t make the same mistake I did.I needed a new belt and a part to be welded. I took it in and was told thered be a $40 bench fee. No big deal. I knew that the belts ran about $20.00 online and how much could it cost to weld two pieces of sheet metal together, right?Well, I found out.... I came to pick up the machine and was asked to pay $30 more. When I looked at the invoice, I saw two things listed. “Replace Belt: $23” and “Welding: $20.” So I ask the guy, How does this come to $70 for a belt and a quick weld? He looks at the receipt and says Sorry, thats a mistake. My relief turned to surprise when he grabs a pen and scratches out the $20 line item for welding and says, Yeah, the labor is the same as the bench fee--$40.Honestly, Ive changed the belt on this thing myself in under 20 minutes. (I only took it in because I didnt want to wait a week if I ordered the belt online, plus I dont own a welder.) The weld is literally a single spot the size of a dime--Im being generous in calling it a 10-minute job. So the best I can figure, I was charged $80 an hour. But wait, theres more. I forgot to mention the $5 “Environmental Impact fee.” This last item was even harder to understand because they had tied the old broken belt to the handle of my snowblower, leaving it to me to deal with when I got home. I guess the point was to show me that it was broken. Thanks… I’ll be sure set it next to my wallet and my faith in this business.
