My experience has been all positive. friendly stylists who give great cuts. lots of services too

I’ve been here two times and found YMMV. My first visit was awesome, and I was both pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with the haircut. My most recent haircut is the worst I’ve had in nearly 30 years. I’m going to try and go back to get it fixed, but I’m still very disappointed.

I usually love this place but just got given the run around by the lake lansing judes they said that my stylist was at the frandor location after I had just been at the frandor location and the sign on the door said this location was closed till 3pm and my stylist was at the lake lansing shop. So I drive to the lake lansing judes and they tell me I read the sign wrong and that they are going to call and let my stylist know Im omw and I get here and sure enough the door is locked the sign says closed till 3 and Im left looking dumb outside a closed business. Why would I even be able to book an appointment at 1010 if they arnt even going to be open ugh this is such a waste of my time.

Erin does seriously phenomenal work. You can tell she goes the extra mile and actually knows/ cares what looks good. Second time scheduling with her, and I can now confidently say that there is noone in Lansing that Id rather cut my hair.

First time at Judes Frandor but not the last. Nikki gave me a really nice cut and conversation and the razor neck trim felt great. Ill be happy to repeat.

So very efficient! My girlfriend and I arrived and the door was locked because of the COVID-19 stipulations. It was cold out and a very friendly young lady came to the door immediately and Took our temperatures. I could see that she continued to do so every time someone arrived. Everyone in the entire operation was incredibly friendly! Everyone wore a smile and I could even see it with their masks on in their eyes! We had not made an appointment and they told us in a very friendly manner that it would be about an hour and 45 minutes. The young lady was so friendly we felt obligated to say yes and Return later. My girlfriend was very happy with her haircut and the professionalism and upbeat attitude of the entire staff! We will be back! Thank you for a tremendous experience!

Shout out to nikki!!!! I was so nervous getting my one year olds first hair cut that I googled searched for a good week and decided on judes, I called to see who they would recommend and of course all the Barbers are amazing but Nikkis name was said and im soooo happy with her services! Not only was she very calm and great with my little man but the cut turned out perfect!!! We went and seen her again today and just like last time she did an amazing job and my little man did better this time as well. kudos to Judes especially Nikki! Thank you for making such an anxious moment for me so pleasant, I appreciate you!

Its disappointing when the front desk people are uncaring and cold. We arrived 3 minutes late due to traffic and were told to get out. Considering how far we came from, we were gobsmacked and will not be going back

She paid close attention to detail and knew the exact way to cut his hair.Emily did my baby brothers hair, hes picky and doesnt like getting his haircuts. But he liked the way Emily was with him and he walked out with a great haircut. Emily definitely listens well and looks at the details! And knew exactly what we were aiming for.We will definitely be coming back and this is the official spot for my husband & family.

I booked a haircut today at 4:05 with Jessy R . I have proof of this booking but yet there was no evidence of the booking the staff said on their side . They were not willing to give a haircut / or squeeze me in - or call another Jude’s barbershop to see if there was available bookings there, the answer was we don’t have access to that. I was a repeat customer. Very disappointed.

I have been getting my hair cut at Judes Barbershop (various locations) for the last 10 years. I always get the Judes Haircut (cut, neck shave, wash). About 2 years ago I started going to the Frandor location in Lansing because they have lots of stylists working all the time and its location works well for my job. After having a couple different stylists cut my hair, I started having Holly cut my hair every time. She is friendly, very easy to have a conversation with, and knows the hairstyle that I like. There are many good stylists working at this location, but I like Holly the best.

Ive been going here for a few years now. The atmosphere is awesome. I go to Sammy every time. She always does a great job and shes fun to talk to. I pretty much laugh the whole time.

Nikki at Frandor location is very friendly and does a very good job with me. Ive only been there a hand full of times, but I plan to return as a regular. Always takes her time and is gentle with the blade every time I get my head shaved. Would recommend for anyone who is wanting to get a head shave.

Tried many different salons in this area but non of them satisfied my hair cut.This place I have visited 3 years back and loved it. They do what you say and final product will be as you accepted.Jake is best among all of them.

If you like fades, youre guaranteed to get a crooked cut here every time. Today i can even see the jump line running through the side of my head. Cant wait to spend 20 more to get it done somewhere else

Ive been going to the East Lansing location of Judes Barbershop since I moved to East Lansing in August 2018. Ive scheduled with Derek every time and he always makes sure the hair cut is exactly how I want it. While I cant personally vouch for other employees, I would feel confident in their abilities as Derek holds himself and his employees to high standards. Plus, the laid back atmosphere helps make the whole experience enjoyable!

Emily Treats you like a king. She is very pleasant to talk to while getting your hair cut. I would highly recommend calling and scheduling your next hair cut with her.

Ive been coming to Judes in Frandor for about 4 years. Ive had probably 5 or 6 different people cut my hair. Ive NEVER been unhappy with my experience. Tons of options for haircuts that include beard maintenance, massages, and straight razor line-ups. Reasonably priced as well. Ambiance and service are excellent. The best part: online check-in service for your appointments where you can select who cuts your hair.

I took my daughter in to get her first partial shave and we loved it there. Just watching the woman converse with my daughter, laughing and smiling was warm to see. I wish I had boys so we could frequent more often. Definitely worth the drive!!

Went with a friend to get his hair cut - a basic fade was lazily done by Fay (or whoever worked at Fays station). The right side looked okay but the left side looked layered sharply. My friend also asked for an undercut, which was not done. We had to ask for corrections twice, both times done poorly. My friend now knows that an old style barber shop will be better next time.

Holly does an amazing job. Been seeing her for two years for haircuts and facials. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend to my friends, family and coworkers!

Since I moved up to the Lansing area, I have been trying to find the perfect person to cut my hair. Been going to Judes Barbershop for the past few haircuts, and Jake has been cutting my hair. Needless to say, I keep going back. Jake is beyond talented and extremely professional. If you need a haircut, go to Judes Barbershop. If you want your haircut to be flawless, make sure you ask for Jake!

Judes is the best. Holly is the best. Shes got skills like Edward Scissorhands - but not as brooding or creepy. 10/10 will return.

Was looking for a good place to get a haircut in East Lansing. Always been skeptical of chain barbershops, but Judes is an exception. The atmosphere, while obviously aimed at appealing to guys is neat, and the staff is really courteous and they dont try to make painful small talk. Sammy did an awesome job cutting my hair, theyve made a customer out of me!

My lil guys love Ms. Emily, she is the Best! And my husband and teenage son have never come home with a bad cut from any of the stylists.

Holly is like a small Michaelangelo with scissors. Since I started going to see her I can run faster, Ive gotten a promotion at work, and Ive won the lottery, twice. Its all thanks to the haircut.

Great atmosphere but the hair cuts are not great. Due to lack of Lansing options I tried Jude’s 4 times and each haircut was subpar. They scissor before the wash making it flat and cheap. Can someone please recommend a place that knows how to cut hair??!

For the most part I come to this place to get my hair cut. It usually fluctuates between 20-24$ per hair cut and that includes a cut, wash, scalp massage, and a hot towel. I have noticed that some of the stylists cut my hair more to my liking then others. Overall I have had good experiences here.

I have been going to Judes at Frandor for over a year. It is easily the best barbershop in the Lansing/East Lansing/Okemos area. I had gone to SportClips for the longest but was never truly happy with the end product. Judes is always giving me a great product with an awesome atmosphere. It will cost more than great clips or SportClips but you get what you pay for. If you want to look good this is the place to go. 5/5, 10/10, whatever scale you want to use its 100%. Also Rebeccas fade are ON POINT!!!

Emily is the BEST! She gives me a great cut, helps with product selection, and is always friendly and outgoing. I schedule my visits around her availability, even if it’s an extra trip.

The stylist was very nice, and they got me in fast without having called ahead but she breezed through my haircut so fast she cut it too short on top and the hair around the ears is noticeably uneven. Its not a horrible cut overall, but I was hoping for better. Also, perhaps I dont understand what services come with a haircut, but the price seems slightly high for what was provided.

I get a great cut every time. The woman I see is amazing and always great to talk to! Even better, they have a few people who are great at trimming beards.

I called ahead (highly recommended). I opted for the Judes Cut (Everything package). It was nice overall! The stylist was pleasant and did a good job cutting my hair, however I was asked if I would like one of the included services. This in return made me feel uncomfortable, as if it wasnt included or she didnt want to do it, so I declined. For that 4/5.Overall I was happy and will try them out again!

There’s a guy named Jake that cuts there and bros he hooked me up! Great fade, awesome part, and knew exactly what I wanted despite me giving minimal direction (I’m so bad with hair). He’s killing it; definitely worth seeing. Idk if I can let anyone else touch my hair.

Went back several times trying to find a barber when cut after cut wasnt good. I really wanted this place to work but time after time they would miss patches or make uneven cuts in my hair or when lining my beard up. The haircuts arent awful just not good. And dont bother paying for the shoulder massage they only last a minute and they use a machine. The. Best part is the hair wash...take it for what it is.

Turned me down for a haircut because there was only an hour before closing. I was able to get in for the first cut the next day though. Service was good.

Really unhappy with my experience. Told the stylist what i wanted, showed her a picture of how much I wanted it trimmed, and my hair turned out nothing like I wanted. I had good recommendations before going there, but wont be going back. I voiced to them how the haircut did not meet my expectation, nor was I happy with it, and nothing was done to compensate. The ladies were nice, but overall bad service to me.

Business trip landed me in Lansing, decided I needed a hair cut really bad, looked up reviews and this place was one of the highest rated in the area. After going there, I realize why they have such a good rating. If I find myself back in the area, Ill definitely be back.

My boss took me to get a haircut because he said I looked like a trash ball. I didnt know what to expect but was very impressed. I didnt get the name of my stylist but she was awesome and had a great personality. I will be returning.

Didnt do what I asked her to do which was nothing off the top. Ended up with 2 different lengths on the top of my head. Not a great experience.

Ive had great haircuts here, and Ive had terrible ones. The service varies greatly depending on which hairstylist you get. If you are lucky enough to get a good one, be sure to call ahead and request that same person the next time you visit.

I used to rate this higher. But after several years over hit or miss hair cuts, I decided never to go back. Scheduling is easy. Girls are nice. But some of the girls are terrible at cutting hair. Its like haircut Russian roulette...
