My biggest complaint is about the lowest cost zero turn mower they sell. We purchased it for our 2 acres and average mowers. The deck constantly broke. We had it in the shop yearly, sometimes more due to the deck falling, since it was bought in 2014. Charged over 100 dollars to pick it up, each time. Hundreds more for the repair..asked a representative as to why and his answer was it was only designed to last 5 years! I could have paid someone 600 dollars a year to do my lawn! My opinion.. don’t buy John Deere anymore.

So... I appear to have won the grand prize for ignominious vain pursuits at John Deere. I have found the only significant part for a piece of John Deere iron that is not listed in the parts manual OR shown in the exploded view diagrams. Tim, one of the gentlemen at the parts counter, swears hes going to figure this out and identify the correct part. I hope he does. I really need the part to fix my JD 483. Good place, on the west side of Lancaster a good bit out. If the rest of the folks are as good as Tim then this place is blessed with great staff... and its the closest JD place to me on the outer edge of the John Deere Empty Quarter, otherwise known as southeast Ohio.

Had to buy a new mower for mowing difficult terrain. Went to Ag Pro and talked to the salesman about my options. Salesman was extremely helpful. After deciding what I wanted it was discovered there was one on the lot. Salesman said he would do all he could to see that the mower was delivered that day. True to his word the salesman himself delivered the mower by 5 pm.

The attitude in this company is terrible across the board. The first time I went there, I watched a couple other people getting upset with the employees from their demeanor. No concept of customer service. Went in for one problem on a brand new tractor, left with another problem I’d never had before. Then I call, and just get a bunch of attitude. Terrible.

0/10 recommended. Worst customer service I’ve ever received. They must be trying to put farmers out of business!! Had our 2955 JD tractor for 3 months during hay season and charged us $11,000 for labor!!!! Every time we went up there nobody was working on it. It didn’t need that much work. They said they had trouble with parts so why would they charge us that much labor. Will never go back.

They should rename their service department to “don’t bother me “. I had to have my 1023E taken in for 2 problems- it was missing a bolt in the bag-catcher bracket (from the date of purchase) and more recently it developed a vibration in the belt-driven vac motor for the bagger system. The service tech tried to say that the bag catcher bracket should only have one bolt, so I had to take the owner’s manual in to show them otherwise. In dealing with the service department over the phone, I was repeatedly treated like I was a bother to them. At one point in the conversation, I was put on hold without even being told, as I was in the midst of talking. I have since been asking around and apparently the few people I’ve spoken with have had similar experiences with the service department. I’m overall happy with John Deere products but this store won’t get another dime from me.

I recently bought a $35,000 tractor with a loader and mower. Initially, during the purchase my experience was ok. Only when I needed service, parts or advice did I experience the same ambivalent attitude toward an established client that I read below. Not sure how this place stays in business. If fact, I recently called just one more time to buy another $12,000 implement. I was hoping my prior experiences were an anomaly. Well, after a 10 minute on hold with no answer, I hung up. Imagine, wanted to buy an expensive piece of equipment and everyone was busy but most likely were just indifferent to my call and my need as all marginally run businesses behave. Done with this one.

I bought a 2015 5085e in 2018 just prior to Ag-Pro buying JD Equipment. When I brought it home I started having issues with the emissions system. I called back up (to what I thought was JD) and now it was Ag-Pro. They was prompt on sending a Tech down, but nothing was ever followed up on. Fast forward to Spring of 2020 and I still have a month of warranty left on a emissions issue and had to haul My tractor 70 miles to another Dealership that was not a Ag-Pro due to being on hold for a combined 45 mins. In the same yr I bought a 450M new round baler, giving Ag-Pro the benefit of the doubt. Guess what it has issues now and was on hold for another 35 minutes and was hung up on when Somebody answered the phone. It is a combined feeling in the Community that I live in that if You don’t spend $100,000 a yr there they don’t really care to help You. Me and My Family have spent in the last 15 yrs a combined $150,000 with a JD dealership. To be treated this way when You have issues is unheard of. We are looking at changing brands of equipment. I don’t ever review anything but I want Everyone to save Themselves from wasting Your time and money. By the way if Someone from JD is reading this I am still having trouble with My round baler and I am probably still on hold waiting to talk to Your joke of a Service Manager. It’s not like We are asking for free warranty work ( unless it is warranted) We just would like to have a Tech come and fix the problem so We can use it. The reason We even bought JD was because of the service and reliability that JD swears by, and so far We haven’t received that from this Dealer.

I called in early December to have my tractor picked up for regular annual PM. It was picked up, worked on, and brought back over the next few weeks. I paid for it over the phone. That part was fine, until I looked at the front tires, which were completely out of alignment to the point of ridiculousness; how could my mower be brought back to me in this condition? I called, and the man I talked with on December 30 said he would have someone out to pick it up, which he did a couple of days later, early January. After almost 4 weeks of hearing nothing, on January 27 I called...and called...and called. Finally on the 4th attempt the female (I believe Michelle) answered. At first she had no idea what I was talking about, and it was only after I displayed unhappiness that she looked it up, only to tell me she had no idea, would need to talk with a tech, and would have to call me back. Still waiting for that call. On Friday, January 30, I called again...and again...and again, finally asking to talk with a manager who, amazingly, was too busy to talk with me. The parts guy who answered assured me he would take my name and number to the manager and I would be called back. Still waiting for that call as well. So not only do I not have my tractor fixed after 2 months, but I cant even get anyone to give me an update. This is beyond inexcusable. I stopped bringing my service there a couple of years ago because of problems, but thought I would give you another try. Big mistake. All I want right now is my tractor back, FIXED.

Spoke with salesman on multiple occasions to purchase a 1025r. I was told it was a 19/20, and asked multipl questions to ensure the implements would work from the previous years. I had everything signed, and was going to pick it up that Satirday.When. Looking at the tractor, the plastics on the steering wheel, and controls were faded. I didnt think much of it, as I know they sit outside until they are sold. I was also informed that the battery was going to be replaced. Again, didnt think much of it.That Satirday, I met the salesman there, and he pulled the tractor around. Went inside, and was handed the build packet, and manual for the tractor while he went to get the spare key. I then informed him that there is an issue. The Serial number on the tractor was for 2018. He said his system shows it is a 19/20. I told him his system was incorrect, which explains wy it was so faded, and had to replace the battery. I then noticed the build date of 19 January 2018. This tractor was already two and half years old.I asked if he could work on the price, he said he couldnt because that was the sale price. I asked that a 201i was the same price as a 19/20, and he said yes. I doubt that.I gave him all the time in the world to work on the price, toss in a rake of something, but he did nothing. I left without the tractor.I was informed that the tractor had sold, so I feel sorry for the individual who thought they were getting a new tractor, but has one that is 2 and half years old.I am very disappointed with this company, and will inform others of my bad experience. BUYERS BEWARE, AND ENSURE YOU ARE GETTING WHAT YOU ARE LEAD TO BELIEVE!!

It Took forever to even get out of there so and we didn’t even finance it!We specifically asked for our mower to NOT come off the lot where they obviously had been sitting for some time. The salesperson assured me it would come out of the “warehouse and be assembled”!What a lie that was and when contacted about it, it was one lie after another and Another!!! The 330 Riding Mower was filthy and already had several Rusting Parts on it! They tried every which way to convince me it didn’t come off the lot! LIE!!Delivery man himself confirmed that, but those back at the Office tried to lie out of this fact!!I personally drove down and looked at ones that were brand new and NOT on the lot!! AN Absolute Obvious Difference!!!They even tried to say they had different parts to put them together there and that some may have marks of different sorts on them!REALLY!!! They come PreAssembled!!Completely Returning Everything and will Never Ever Deal With this Company again Nor should YOU!!! I will Detour anyone I know to save there time and money from this place!!I Will Be going to any and every sight I find like the BBB and whoever else to give a Review on this Company that has Absolutely No Integrity, Customer Service and I could go On And On!!!

When new D140 mower was delivered it wouldnt run because they didnt connect the safety wire to the seat. Within a few months of operating the steering wheel broke and the pin that holds the deck up was never put in so the deck kept falling to the ground in the front. Also could not put mower down past a 3 without it sitting on the ground. Here we are one year later and the pin that holds the deck up fell out again, deck sitting on the ground and mower immobile. Called service department Monday, they cant pick it up until Wednesday and will have it for over a week before its fixed. This is the time of year grass needs mowed once or twice a week.

Bought a D140 rider $2000.00. After a half year of mowing front axle was shot. Called to see if warranty would cover it they said NO.This cost me $70.00 out of pocket, not counting my time to locate part. Went to a JD equipment place to get a tune-up kit in Columbus, 60 miles away. He gives me the wrong air filter. The filter is still sitting in garage, cost me $35.00, and my time. Had to order one from an engine place in Chillicothe. The engine knocks when starting, still under my 2-year warranty. Ask if it is covered? They (in Lancaster) tell me it isnt. But they are persistent on selling me an extended warranty for $500.00. WOW they cant honor the first 2 years. AMAZING! The manager called to ask how many hours on my D140. There are 198.6 hours after 2 seasons of mowing 4 acres. All he could say warranty is gone after 120 hours. So the D140 is only good for less than 200 hrs. His response is the same as most, they are not responsible! Offered no solution!!!! This mower cost me $10 an hour to ride, not counting the cost of maintenance. Does any company take responsibility for there so called warranty? I am out $2000. Wish I never bought this thing.

JD Equipment is where I purchased my x530, lawn tractor in 2011. I had previously purchased a much smaller JD lawn tractor from Lowes in 2009. The smaller tractor was having steering problems and the transmission had gone out, I went to JD equipment and they told me I had 7 days left on my warranty. I went home and brought the tractor right back. They fixed it 100% for free and then I traded it in on the x530. The employees and sales staff at JD equipment are wonderful, always helpful with parts that I need and know exactly how to help me with maintenance issues. I frequently visit their establishment just to catch up on the new equipment that is available and purchase John Deere apparel. My father and 2 brothers all own John Deere lawn tractors and would drive nothing else. I love my John Deere and feel privileged to live within 5 miles of the Lancaster JD equipment.

I had initially used the online bid through the JD equipment website and bid on a JD mower. Well I got a email fairly quickly that he had contacted the store and unfortunately the mower had been sold that day, but if I had any questions to ask. I was initially bummed, but figured this would be a good chance to ask about some other tractors. I had replied back asking about what were good options for my price range and horsepower and asked clarification on another listing..I received a reply back, but only with the clarification of the information. No other feedback, which was fine! I had then decided I wanted to put in another bid on a tractor and did so on Friday...so I wait until Monday to hear back about my bid...nothing..i email the same man and ask if the tractor I bid on was still available..his reply was..What tractor so I explained which tractor I was talking about and wait a day for a reply...nothing. So I ask is it still available? Reply back in 8 minutes..yes it is, iv e been busy up until now...at that point I realized this person doesnt really want to help me. Its unfortunate, because I was basically begging to buy a tractor and need one, but will be going with a different company.
