My husband and I were on the hunt for a new, 2021, black Chevy Suburban (which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays). Matt Pugh helped end our search by helping us BUILD our dream Suburban! He even had great contacts for businesses that would deliver on our interest in “blackout decals.” We are from Grove City and made the drive to Lancaster because from the first phone conversation with Matt we felt like we were treated as a friend or family member—not just a “next sale.” He really wanted to deliver what we wanted and did everything he could to get us just that, price and all. When we went to pick it up, our Suburban was sparkling in their showroom-like garage, ready to go for us!I’m sure there are dealerships WAAAY closer to where YOU live (we have one literally down the street from us), but you will be welcomed to Hugh White Lancaster as if you are family. Do yourself a favor—make the drive to Lancaster to make your car, truck, or SUV dream come true with Matt Pugh!
Very poor Dealership in my opinion, I have bought many cars thru the years and every time I have to deal with them it is a mess. Today my wife took the car in for its first service she presented a coupon for the first service free they charged my wife $69.00. She got nothing else done and did not want to honor their coupon. The place is very busy and I guess blowing people off is just ok with them, I called and tried to speak to the service manager and of course no return call. Find another dealer
My purchase felt less than appreciated, I asked for the Car fax on several occasions. I was told he though it had been in a minor accident, it was a 3 hour drive there to find out it had been in several accidents. It was missing the second key which cost $300-$400 and instead of helping me with the cost of it they handed me a business card of a company 3 hours away from where I live who could make me a key. When they plugged in the interest rate that should have said 5.29% it kept changing to 8.5% or something around there. I wanted to finance $5,000 to keep some more money in the bank but got so frustrated with them I ended up just paying the full amount in cash. They would not provide so much as a 24 guarantee that the car was mechanically sound and said I was pretty much SOL once I took it off the lot. The finance guy seemed frustrated with being kept there late by the sales guy who had another customer coming in late after me and when I mentioned I may as well just pay cash his response was, I wish you would. Having over a 200 mile drive there and back I asked if they would at least fill the tank with gas. The salesman rolled his eyes, looked at the finance guy, and said, yeah, we can do that. As if I was putting their dealership out of business. Im 40 years old and this was the 9th car Ive bought from a dealership in my life. It was the second to worst experience Ive had, only being beat buy another dealership tacking on a $2,500 extended warranty to my loan that I did not agree to and it took 6 months to not get that money back, buy to only have it put towards the payoff of my vehicle. Over all I would say I felt like I dealt with the stereotypical scum bag used car salesman and I would never recommend anyone else go to this dealership if they can help it.
I schedule this appointment by phone and they got me in within one day. Nick was very polite and made sure everything I wanted done was getting done. Received a text and a phone call when the car is ready to pick up and receptionist was very polite also. Very nice environment.
I travel for work, so since I dont have insight on local shops in the area I always try to find dealerships to service my truck when travelling. My experience was as what should be expected from a dealership. They were professional, very prompt with the service, and the parts department was more than helpful with providing part numbers for parts they did not have on hand so that I may find them at another dealership closer to my home in Missouri. Very pleased with this dealership. I have been to many that could learn some things about customer relations and service scheduling from Hugh White Chevrolet.
I saw a Mercedes CL600 on Autotrader. In the photos there was a defect to the interior drivers side door and the tires were dry rotted. I was still very interested in the car and asked for a video walk around because I’m in CT and could not go there in person. I specifically said what I wanted filmed. Jarrod Cunningham quickly took a video and carefully avoided the defects I asked to see. In the first video he even mentioned the tires had good treads on them! The second one he filmed every part of the drivers side door except the glaring defect that was the size of a football. The third video he finally videoed the defect and told me the car was priced accordingly and not perfect. Which I already knew, but how could I trust him with the run around he already gave me. Defects on a used car I understand but deliberately hiding the obvious makes me not want to pursue anything at this dealership!
My salesperson and general manager was very helpful in buying my car.
Hugh White Chevrolet service team is the best. Always available for service on my Malibu as needed. The staff is friendly and really cares that the client is well taken care of. I appreciate all they do for me.
Five starts all the way. We had car issues today and the service department at Hugh White did an outstanding job helping get our car repaired quickly. Staff was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Thank you!
I buy most my vehicles through Hugh White in lancaster. They have dealt with my family for years now. I like to know a salesman I can trust that will work to put me in a ride that I want. The salesman I dealt with over the last 3 weeks (2 cars), is Cody Wiseman. 3 weeks ago while looking at a car, Cody comes out to help us. Typically I go to a specific salesman but he no longer is employed there. So not only was I looking at a car, I was looking for a salesman also. Someone my family can do business with years to come. Ill be giving Cody a call the next time my family is looking for a new ride. Thanks again Cody.
Love the no pressure sales. And they had no problem answering my questions. They offered options for financing.but never made me feel pressured. Left with the vehicle I wanted.
The service department did a great job on my car. I was pleased with the time . They were friendly and helpful. I would definitely refer them to anyone
Extraordinary service. I was on a trip to Ohio, I discovered a new issue in car while I was out of station. I drove to Hugh White dealership, they were friendly and accepted my vehicle even though I do not have an appointment as it is an emergency alert from Onstar, they fixed the issue on time and returned the vehicle. My vacation trip is not at all disturbed. I was spending my time with my family and friends where as my car is being fixed in the meantime.
Matt Pugh and Tye Hardin worked hard to find a reliable car our daughter could afford while in college. They are honest and direct, which we greatly appreciate! Thanks so much for your hard work and all the time you spent finding the right vehicle!
Finally car buying that doesn’t feel shady! It was nice to be shown available vehicles without being asked for my blood type and the name of my childhood pet first. We were helped by Steve who was very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Excellent customer service all around and we finally left with a great vehicle that met all of our specific needs.
Almost left without a vehicle but they found a way to get me the one I wanted and was able to keep it within my monthly price range. Mike was very friendly and conversational. So very happy with my purchase so far!
Great Service -- keep up the good work!!
I had an efficient professional job, thank you
Just purchased a new Tahoe from these folks and I have to say they are among the best Ive ever dealt with. Dan Henshaw is a fantastic salesperson and the entire dealership is honorable and first rate. I would recommend them to anybody!
Cassie and the entire service dept were great! Made it easy and automated.
I visited Hugh White on Thursday morning 7/8 for a potential electronic relay problem with my car. It was determined that their was no problem with the relay and that low coolant maybe a contributing factor. They topped off the coolant and didn’t charge my anything for the visit. Thank you for the service.
All people were kind and helpful and the facility is clean. Thanks again.
Great service team! Very professional and helpful. Service was fast and efficient. Always take my vehicle there.
I asked for a tire rotation along with my oil change. I also asked for the rear passenger tire to be patched. When I picked up my truck it had not received the complimentary wash and the tires had not been rotated. The rear passenger tire was still reading low and the low tire was still showing in the same place as it was before I asked for the tires to be rotated. When I called and asked about it I was put on hold and then told it was probably an issue where the computer hadn’t been reset. The same tire reading low before and after the supposed service was performed? I’m not confident that my truck was serviced like I asked and will have it serviced elsewhere in the future.
Ive gone to Hugh White for years now for all my service needs/issues. After a few rough visits and my latest venture im definitely going to switch things up. There is just a total lack of customer service and appreciation, along with a total disregard for peoples time. Guess Ill take my chevy to the Toyota service department?
The worst service experience Ive ever had. The service writer didnt want to look up my GM affiliated extended warranty program to see if my issue was covered.
I had big issues with the service writers, but the service manager stepped in to make things right.Service writer wasnt listening to why I was there (at their request to see if they would need parts for the service the following week). I sat in the lobby for 3.5 hours before I went and asked for a status. Was told that they thought I was coming back, and that they could not do the recalls that fast. I was not there for recalls that day, that was to be the following week. They checked over the vehicle quickly after that, and I only spent 4.5 hours of my day for them to see what parts may be needed.I was going to be on vacation for one week, so the dealer and I thought it be best to leave the vehicle while Im on vaca. I get back and cannot get ahold of anyone to tell me the status of my truck. After one week of being home (one week past due), I asked for the service manager, and he helped me out a bunch.By the way, the service writer told me things that were not true at all about the work done. I was told day after day that it would be done tomorrow. Going on about how long it took because of the lift on my truck, and extra large aftermarket control arms. My control arms are stock bud.I will not return to have my truck serviced there if Preston (Service Manager) is not available to deal with. He is very good at what he does. I cant say much for the other service advisors.
Had oil change and they also did an inspection and car wash. My wait was about 90 mins. Everyone was friendly and was good experience.
Buck Pickett was very courteous and helpful. Had our vehicle done the day they had originally told us it would be ready.
We were greeted and escorted to the service desk and then to the waiting area that was neat and very clean. People waiting were friendly and offered us chairs. Very happy.
I just purchased my car a month ago and hadnt really had to use the AC until recently. The 1st hot weekend we had, the AC didnt work. I dropped it off Monday night for my Tuesday appointment. Jim called me Tuesday afternoon to report no issues but said it may be an intermittent issue and to bring it back when it was acting up again. As I was leaving from picking it up, it was not working but I noticed it was only the drivers side that wasnt getting cold. I went back in and told them this and they knew what is was right away. Although I had to leave it another day, it is now working great!! Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful and I will definitely go back.....hopefully only for an oil change next time 🙂
Cody Wiseman took care of me through the whole process. I appreciate all the help in purchasing my new truck!
This was the first truly positive car buying experience I have had in my 30 years of buying cars. Dan has a warm welcoming personality and was very knowledgeable about the cars and the buying process. I highly recommend looking Dan Henshaw up at Hugh White in Lancaster if you are in the market for a vehicle.
Had oil change done. They also took care of a recall on my vehicle. All done in an hour. Nice clean area to wait in.
The best service department we’ve ever been associated with they do an amazing job keeping our car and truck maintained. They also do a great job on following up after the service is done making sure everything was perfect and we were pleased with their service. Thank you Preston Barringer for all you do to make our experience a great one.
Hugh White is a very straightforward and honest dealership. Dan Henshaw was a pleasure and very helpful. We have bought our last two cars there, and will continue to do if needed.Thank you!We love our 2021 Traverse.Steve and Sheila Taylor
Got my car in and fixed within the day which was awesome! They kept in contact with me about everything all throughout the day. The only thing that was a negative is they didnt reset my check engine light, which is still on. So, even though my car drives much better, were not 100% sure everything was fixed that needed fixed because the check engine light is still on!
Excellent service. Jim Boggs always gets the job done!
I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. It was supposed to take an hour. I was busy working and lost track of time. It took 2 hours! I didnt even complain or anything, but Jim Boggs recognized that 2 hours was too long to wait for an oil change, so he picked up the tab for me. I thought that was very generous. Thank you, Jim!
The individuals who serviced my scheduled oil change/tire rotation went above and beyond to find that my wiper blades (windshield and rear) were in need of replacement. After purchasing them at the dealership, they took the time to remove the old and replace with the newly purchased blades.
I ended up buying a new 21 Tahoe. Great people to work with always go there for all my car needs.
I took my 2016 Silverado 3500 Duramax truck in for a check engine light. Code said over turbo over boost. Tech said needed and EGR and sensor. While it was in there the fuel filter, air filter, and cabin air filter was to be changed. Picked up truck brought it home inspected it that night. The water in fuel sensor wire was not plugged in and hanging down in wheel well. All the screws on the air cleaner box were stripped out so bad it looked intentional. There metal shavings from the screws laying on top of the cover. I took the truck back into the dealer the next day to show service advisor. He said he would get me new screws for the cover so I could fix what the tech messed up. He did say he would have the tech finish the install on the fuel filter but I decided to do it myself. Was not offered a refund but I didnt ask for one. On top of all that when I picked the truck up I had my daughter with me to drive it back. There were men in the service advisors area hanging out and dropping the F word like crazy. I didnt appreciate that with my daughter there. Now on top of all that the truck broke down again on vacation in TN. Check engine light and same code. Trying to get it fixed at a dealer in Georgia as Im writing this. Absolutely worst place Ive ever been to for service.
Horrible! Avoid at all cost!As a business owner you never have time, but let me spare couple minutes of my time to share the type of service and experience I got from these clowns. So, I found Ford 350 transit on their website and salesperson named Rod was helping me to begin with. I filled out pre-approval application online and was pre-approved for purchase and let Rod know that I would be coming out of state (6 hours drive) to purchase the van. Rod assured me that I was first in line to buy it as I was first one to call them about this van. So I rented a car, changed my business meetings, was ready to come out on agreed day for purchase and then when I called them today to confirm everything, I was told that vehicle had been sold. Really????? Sales guy (Rod) never picked up the phone, no phone call return, nor told me the van was sold. Just unbelievable!!! When I called and spoke to various people at this dealership, they all didn`t make a big deal out of it. I hope corporate office or someone hire up reads this to realize what kind of people they have working there.Having bought dozens of vans for my business from other dealerships, I have never experienced such unprofessional way of conducting the business. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!
My issue hasn’t been fixed yet, truck need to go back again. It’s sad that I bought a new truck from the dealer and they can’t provide me a loaner while I’m there for warranty issues!
Well, I have to say this is the 1st time ever I felt disrespected at Huge White. I am very sad because I have been a long time customer. I will explain further if someone would like to contact me
My battery died. I called service at about 4:00 and they told me to come to service and they would replace it immediately. I arrived about 4:30 and I had a newly installed battery by 5:00! Excellent service on short notice (on a Friday!)
Turn it in with one problem get two problems back. And it took him a week to fix the first one.
The dealership is one of the best Ive ever dealt with. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Always feel like family
Hug White’s service department is alway on point and does a wonderful job not only servicing my vehicle but also with timely communications.
Avoid this dealership. Purchased my last two vehicles from this dealership, but never again.1. My vehicle is less than 2yrs old. All services done with Hugh White. Purge Solenoid goes bad. They want to charge $300. Part is $29 from GM and it took me 15 min to fix (Youtube). Shows me they dont back their product or take care of loyal customers.2. They never respond to their e-mail offers. Ever!*Fyi if you have a P0496 check engine light code. Message me. I will fix yours for free! Just because its a nice thing to do. UH60avenger2@gmail
Ryan Dixon was awesome. I had been looking for a specific truck for several months. Everytime one arrived I missed it or it was sold out from under me. I seen Hugh white had one coming and I spoke with Ryan about it. He was unsure about when it would arrive, but assured me a call as soon as he knew. Two days later I got a text with a picture of the truck on the delivery truck. Left immediately to get there. Once I arrived the deal was smooth and layed back. Ryan did what noone could seem to do, get me in my dream truck.
We had to take our vehicle in after hitting a deer. They gave a price that was reasonable and did an excellent job in repairing our vehicle. All the staff members did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
My car was towed in almost two weeks ago. That day I was told theyd look at my car and let me know what was wrong with it. I had to call them back after they had it for 3 days without hearing a word from anyone. I realize they have other customers, so I wasnt trying to be a bug and thats why I waited so long on a call back from them. After 3 days they still hadnt had a chance to pull my car in to start diagnostics. I waited another 2 days to find out what needed done with it, which happens to be a huge job with a huge cost since our warranty ran out. When talking to them each time they made it seem like theyd call me back that same day, but then I wouldnt hear anything. Maybe they wouldve looked at my car quicker with more updates if I had physically been at the dealership.
Thanks to Nick for making sure I got what I needed.
Was very pleasant. There so nice and they to get you exactly what you want. This is my 2nd purchase from here and I will continue to do my purchases here.
I was sold a truck in February. I did not check the AC. Because it was February and freezing. Once we had warm weather I noticed the AC didn’t work. Take it to the service department and was told my fuse block has corrosion and that they will not fix the issue they sold me. The corrosion didn’t just occur in 2 1/2 months. I know I bought a used truck but I never expected a dealership to dupe me with a truck that will have electrical issues.
I stopped in to make an appointment since I was passing through Lancaster on my way back to Columbus. The service person I spoke to said that he could get me in that day if I had time, so he actually saved me from having to make another trip to Lancaster. That was certainly appreciated.
Got my oil changed there yesterday and had a very pleasant experience! Ty from the sales floor was very polite! And big shout out to service advisor Nicholas Osso! Thank y’all for making the experience quick and easy and for answering all of my questions in full.
Never again, literally the worst place, they did nothing for me other than take my money and keep my vehicle for 4 months and did ABSOLUTELY nothing with it .. Called and said it was running, paid $480 for nothing. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. 1 star is giving them too much credit because they are rude and totally useless!!!
Hugh White of Lancaster Ohio!!!Thank you Jim Boggs for yourGreat Service!!My car is running great!!!
Stopped in with my wife to shop for a new Chevy Bolt. Dan Henshaw the salesman was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. Ive bought dozens of vehicles over the years and this was one of the easiest and fairest transactions Ive ever experienced when buying a car. We will be back again when its time for another car.
I had a very good experience with the dealership to have service completed on my vehicle
Service was pretty quick and price was reasonable.
Had a great experience! Thanks to Cody Wiseman my wife and I were able to get into a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, great customer service and information, thanks again Cody and Hugh White!!
We appreciate Ethan and Matt working hard to track down the vehicle we wanted at the price we needed. We love our 2021 Traverse. Thanks!
Very friendly dealership. Service is top notch. They treat you as though you are a family member. Would highly recommend John McGraw. He knows the product line well, and is an honest straight forward person! My family has used him for over 40 years.
Ryan went above and beyond to help us find the exact vehicle we needed and was great to work with throughout the entire process.
Very nice people but the building is very outdated. Id go back but just wish it was more modern.
My transmission was shot. I needed a replacement. I had two things to consider warranty, and good installers. Hugh White was the only place qualified to do the work. Repair done ✅ right the first time. Thats why Hugh White Chevrolet does the repairs I need on my 2015 Chevrolet Suburban XLT.
Fast, courteous service. Will use again.
Detailing done an awesome job on my truck. Looks great and smells brand new again!!!
I was suggested by co-workers to come to this car lot. I didnt have spectacular credit, almost no money to put down and a car that had no business being on the road to trade in. Some how with all that they found a way to get me approved for a 2010 GMC Acadia. Matt C. my salesman did great at matching us with our new vehicle and made the experience enjoyable. The gentlemen that finished our paperwork however. Was a bit rude and pushy but even when his system stopped working he figured out a way to get the job done without it. We were told it had some features that actually dont work but hoping they will make things right.
Dan Henshaw was amazing, very helpful and helped me get an awesome car! Would recommend him to anyone.
They have always got me in and out in a timely manner and have always gave me recommendations on ways to save money even if it wasn’t with them! I would recommend them to anyone!
The entire experience was top notch. My sales person was informative, friendly, and knowledgable. Thanks Johnny for your assistance.
This place is amazing!! I bought my second car with no credit but a down payment!! Cody Wiseman was the one who helped me out to get the Camaro and I will forever be grateful!! I love the car was exactly like the picture and the description was even better in person!! The convertible part was off the rack and Cody said a specialist was coming in on a certain day so I came im they fixed it for FREE thanks to Cody, and the specialist that fixed it! I highly recommend going to this place not only do they give you a car but the actually keep checking up on you!! I live 2 hours away from there and it was definitely worth it!! Thank you again Cody Wiseman and To Hugh White of Lancaster!!
Ryan was extremely helpful from the beginning and got me exactly what I was looking for.
My first time at Hugh White Chevrolet, and I will be back. Very professional staff, knowledgeable.
I got my oil changed and my tires rotated it was quick and convenient
Ryan was very pleasant to work with in getting our leased 2018 Trax upgraded to a 2021 Trax. He took the time to answer any questions and is very personable. Not a stuffy salesman just out for the sale. Thank you.
Very nice quick and always do a great job to help me out.
Yes vn we awww
The customer service was excellent and they explained the process very well
Honestly, its the only place I have been in years where service, customer service and communication, honesty, and politeness are all just done the right way. Very grateful
Very personable employees and very helpful when I was looking for a new Vehicle. Would highly recommend to friends and family interested in purchasing a new vehicle.
I am keeping this at 2 stars because I had a great experience buying a car with the salesperson Kyle. But the service department is just terrible. I dropped my car off for repair on a Wednesday. They said it would be ready on Thursday. On Thursday they called and said it would be ready on Friday. When I showed up on Friday, no repairs were done and they lost my keys. I had to drive my car home 40 minutes with no ac and the engine light on with the spare keys that I brought with me. It should have been under warranty with them, but now I will have to pay to get it fixed at a repair shop. Also, it is infuriating to keep being called “honey” by someone who is trying to explain why they didn’t do their jobs and lost my keys and kept saying “sorry, I can’t help you.” Terrible experience. Never take a repair here.
Unprofessional! Lied to by a salesman. I scheduled an appointment to purchase a truck Ive been researching for a couple months. When I arrived (right on time), the vehicle was on a test drive and was purchased shortly after. The salesman took no responsibility for what happened.
Our salesman made looking and purchasing our new car so easy.
Very nice people and wonderful service
Took my new Silverado in to have side steps put on and they were done so fast I barely finished a bag of chips. Very friendly employees. First time buyer at Hugh White. Chevrolet Buick in Lancaster and I promise my next truck will come from there.
My experience was FANTASTIC. Every time I go there the people and the service are GREAT. I would and do recommend Hugh White Chevrolet to everyone. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else
Excellent service from everyone thanks for all your help
Great job and great communications!!
I dropped my vehicle off on January 21, 2021 at 8 AM. It was in for its first oil change plus I had a few other issues. My number one main concern was the smell of gasoline from the exhaust. They had my car until January 25, 2021. The oil was changed and other issues resolved except the profuse gasoline smell from the exhaust. They told me it was be because the car is new. I believe that a new car should be burning fuel more efficiently than an old car. Also the last thing they did while parking my vehicle in the customer pickup area was to erase my dash-cam! What does this mean?On January 28, 2021 I received a text Message from a Preston Barringer asking how the service visit went and I expressed my concern about the exhaust but apparently this was just an automated texting system as I received no reply.
Everything was good at Hugh White today. No leaks on all four tires! YEA!!
First maintenance check and oil, etc. So far very pleased.
Loved it that you picked my car up and brought it back to my place of employment, free of charge! Its a great and convenient service!
I have always received great service from these guys. Been using them for over 20 years.
