Full Service, always available for questions, and team approach no matter how small of a customer you are. I have to say that Roberta has handled my taxes for the last two years and she has helped me with amended returns which got me thousands back. They will so what you ask, if you need a reminder to pay quarterly they will do it, if you need an education on something they will train you. I am very satisfied with the services I have received.
Recently I had the pleasure of working with Tim Bradley at Stratagem. He was amazing. It was the sale of a business where the owner had passed away. I cant begin to share how comforting it was having Tim on our team. He was instrumental in the transaction and of course took great care of the widow from a tax perspective.I am looking forward to being able to work with Tim in the future.
Shaus and Associate charged me three times what my current CPA charges me. I will also have to refile last years return because of huge red flags left behind in my 2014 return, caught by my current, far cheaper, CPA. When I e-mailed asking that she/they at least cover the cost of the additional filing to correct the errors, given Id paid Cadillac prices for audit-worthy quality, I was not even given the courtesy of a return email or call in response.I never received even a courtesy call saying Id need a new accountant after three years of paying the extravagant rate, just an impersonal letter referring me to several accountants willing to charge me even more. Ive noticed the new firm is even less responsive to calls and emails, so Shaus and Associates must be having an influence on the brand. Or maybe birds of a feather......
Leslie Schaus has been our CPA for over 15 years, and she is top-notch, savvy, and compassionate.
Leslie Schaus from Stratagem handled my 2015 tax returns. I have to say from the beginning her lack of interest in me as a client or what was in my best interest was a concern. When it Came to offering helpful deductions or anything in that matter. But as a divorced mother of three. I went ahead and TRUSTED she would handle my taxes properly. Once I received my returnes. I had several question on how and why I owed so much to the IRS. I was shocked. Emails and phone conversations between Leslies and I were even more shocking. Basically I was told by Leslie thats what I owe and to deal with it. Dealing with a divorce situation my 2015 taxes were the first time I filed separate from my ex husband. Leslie didnt follow my divorce decree in how my taxes should have been filed. I had a sit down meeting with her at Stratagem asking why my taxes were filed incorrectly. She was rude and claimed she didnt have a copy of the decree. But interesting that she also filed my ex husbands taxes and his were filed correctly according to the divorce decree. Due to the Inappropriate way my taxes were handled by Leslie Schaus. I went to a different accounting firm. Had my 2015 taxes amended. I ended up over paying in taxes around 9,789.50. And on top of that had to pay a bill from Stratgem for there service. What service? As far as I concerned Leslie Schaus at Stratgem is doing no one any servere. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this accounting firm. Its sad to know there are people out there like Leslie Schaus who that take advantage of hard working people.
So far, so good
