This 24 hour fitness is awesome. Clean and comfortable space. Great customer service and friendly staff. Many upgrades happening lately. Check them out. All equipment and services functional.
The location is great for me. The gym is old, the equipment is old as well. Very dark inside and feels enclosed due to low old style ceilings. The class schedule for group fitness is mediocre, the zumba is great with Jackie. The water fountains are 1980 and need updating like most things. Staff is friendly.
Place is terrible. Staff is always late opening in the morning, facility is run down and the air circulation is terrible. Equipment is old and limited. They spend money on the wrong improvements. I would recommend driving the extra time to another location
This gym is enjoyable during the night time when its cooler, however during the day this place is humid and makes the workout suck due to higher air temps inside. Perhaps maybe they are at the moment fixing the air conditioner? Staff is pretty friendly on the other hand. Would definitely rate this place better if they would fix air temperatures inside.
Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lol, good luck on trying to reach someone in the morning, Literally been calling for 30 minutes, wow!! Great MANAGEMENT!!! Dont come here, saving you the gas money, they should of taken time to mention that here. But after all, this is 24, lol..
I would not recommend this location due to issues with the management. They were not helpful and quite rude, whereas the staff at the Arvada location are much friendlier and more helpful. Even if the Arvada location is a farther drive, I’d say it’s worth it to have a staff that takes care of you.
Well appointed gym in a convenient shopping plaza - all the cardio and weights you could need... sometimes during peak hours there aren’t enough free weights... they have a pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room... it would be nice if they fixed their timing clock for the lap pool. They also have basketball court and some other rooms for classes... I’d recommend this gym to my friends for a place to get a basic workout.
Are they ever gonna go back to being open 24 hours a day or are they gonna have to change the name?
Great staff with positive attitude. Courteous. Very clean. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Lots of machines and well spread floor design.
The relatively new management at this location works very hard. The staff is more responsive than they ever were. I feel since COVID issues have forced so much emphasis on safety that this gym is better than ever!
Clean and friendly! Nice equipments and clean people!I was visiting from out of town, definitely enjoyed working out here!
My mask fell down as I was doing a lift and I pulled it back up while a worker was walking towards me. However the worker still came up to me and was extremely rude to me and very unprofessional. I have been fully vaccinated and was socially distant from everyone.
Music is too loud. Everyone has headphones anyways. Just turn it down a bit
Sprint classes were amazing! Thank you, Karen!
MAJOR COVID-19 RISK!!!!!!I have been going to the gym since lockdown was released in the spring. Recently, there is an older man who always wears his mask down to his neck. I have spoken to management about it multiple times the past few weeks. They say they have spoken to him multiple times but they have been told not to police masking, no consequences. They also said, in the past, that they are too busy in which I have offered to speak to him on their behalf. Its worth noting there were about 2-3 employees standing around when I cancelled today. I have also seen the manager, Christie (sp?), working out during peak hours 11AM-3PM. So that really wasnt a good excuse. This is likely why they changed their reasoning for inaction toward the end.*side note: they could care less I was cancelling even though the chain recently declared bankruptcy.BOTTOM LINE: They are willing to put all their members at risk in order to keep getting your money.
Place is cleaned and well maintained. The people who complain about the mask... should just STAY home. Stay home if you’re that scared.
Michaels cycling class is such a good work out. He’s a good instructor and motivator. I love going to his class tuesdays and Thursday mornings
Update 12/12: Mask exemption is gone. Thank goodness. However, still lots of people walking around while wearing masks improperly - sometimes not at all.New reservation system is awful. There is no penalty for no-shows, so people race to grab slots and then don’t show up. The time slots fill up immediately. Only reason I haven’t gone to Planet Fitness is because of the pool.Update: 9/11/20: Apparently there is a mask exemption form that can be filled out, which allows some people to walk around and exercise without a mask on. Anyone who walks around without a mask increases my chances of getting sick and making other people sick, so Ive frozen my membership until this policy changes.Update 9/8/20: I wish they enforced the mask policy more seriously.Original 08/20ish: Doing a great job keeping the place clean. Please consider turning off the TVs (the news is depressing) and the music (we all bring our own headphones).
Wide array of different machines. Multiple deadlift platforms, benches, and cardio machines. Usually no wait to get on the peice of equipment you need. Great gym overall
Good equipment, staff is friendly and nice, and prices are reasonable. Only drawback is the nicer amenities (sauna, steamroom, etc) are frequently closed due to repair needs.
Theyve taken a lot of precautions during the Covid-19 pandemic. I made a reservation, showed up 5 minutes early, checked in through the 24Go app, and was working out in no time. The gym was not very busy, everyone is required to wear a mask and I saw 100% compliance. Good job 24 Hour Fitness.
Great staff with positive attitude.
Excellent equipment. Trainers are very knowledgeable. Cleanliness of equipment is a priority here.
This gym is a decent gym. The problems that I find are the way the benches and some machines are set up along with how the benches feel in general. I would rather go to a small gym with less equipment then to ever return to this gym again. Simply unsatisfied.
I`m not sure if anyone works here. The machines never have an equal amount of weights on them for convenience. You have to search for certain weights or you have too much of another. Employees are usual in a group at the front messing around or on their phones. Also, this is a fitness center and they have had a 105 lbs dumbbell thats been missing for 3 months now with no replacement...
Stay away!! Bad experience with the personnel that work the front desk, They will mistake a friendly conversation as harassment when checking in after going to this gym for 4 months. Something that should not be taken lightly in the MeToo era. Management will directly tell you that its not up for discussion, without all the facts and threaten to cancel your membership. I feel extremely uncomfortable going anywhere near this place when you can be easily accused of harassment when being polite to the staff. Stay away for your safety.
Started coming here since Belmar location closed. Love the squat racks and good size overall with lots of weight lifting machines. Due to COVID you must use their app to reserve a spot for working out in a 1.5 hour window. Ive had no issues reserving a spot and enjoy this location even though its a little further drive for me.
Unlike most of the reviewers before me, some of us like to walk in, headphones on, and get work done. If I could change one thing, I would want it brighter with better lighting for a better atmosphere. Otherwise people need to relax about not feeling pampered or sought after by every employee. If you know how to workout at all the equipment is great, and there’s enough of it. It’s the people who come in and only use the same 3 machines every day that are complaining, and they are looking to feel good and pampered rather than positively change their lives by putting in work. The staff is nice and talk to me if I want to but they don’t bother me if I don’t. The trainers don’t just mess around but know how to have fun with people. People need to toughen up. There is every kind of person working out in this 24 hour and you can find a good community if you want it. Join planet fitness if you want to feel like a spectacular individual for doing nothing to earn it.
Love this place and the yoga classes! Helps me mentally too!!!
Cleanliness is always a concern when going to a gym and needing to shower. There tends to be the need to repair a lot of equipment regularly. Seems like the new manger is working to get this gym to a higher level. What keeps me here is my trainer. Highest quality that Ive found, and Ive been in this industry professionally for 20+ years.
Overcrowded and no personal is seen wiping down equipment.Equipment is old and many pieces of equipment are frequently out of service.Pretty sure I contracted corona virus back in March from this gym.Now the club has shifted to a reservation system for workouts that will quickly book up and make it almost impossible to schedule a workout. They have also directed many members from other colorado clubs to this club due to closures.Good luck with being able to schedule a workout when the state of Colorado is limiting the number of people working out to 50 max capacity. It should be first come first served .
I have been a member of 24 Hour Fitness for at least a dozen years or more having experienced several of their clubs in the Denver area. Although older and not as fancy as some of the newer facilities, this is my favorite. The staff is very friendly and I have found the members here to be very accommodating about sharing equipment or space. My wife had a very positive experience with here personal trainer, as well. I would encourage anyone looking for a gym or fitness center to at least stop in and give this 24 Hour Fitness facility a try.
Great layout! Much cleaner and maintained better than the 24 on chambers and Alameda I go to some weeks. Things here are not out of service for weeks on end frequently and repaired relatively quickly.I really like that this location has multiple squat and deadlift platforms so there isnt much waiting. The pool is kept clean as is the hot tub and steamroom.Parking here is best in the early morning.
24 Hour Fitness on Alameda in Lakewood is a great place to workout. I didn’t know there was one so close to my house, so I decided to try it. I have to say, the front desk staff was so friendly, and they took the time and helped me get set up with a trainer, since I never used my free fitness appointment when I signed up. The club was clean, well maintained, and they had all the machines I like, so I will go back more often. I would definitely recommend this club to my friends!
I just had the most pleasant of customer service experiences with this gym and its general manager Drew May. I had to cancel my membership and check to make sure my wifes membership was at the best possible rate. This can be dicey at some businesses, as you are both leaving them and yet not leaving them at the same time. Drew was honest, pleasant and super accommodating and the process was painless and smooth. How a business handles losing your business can be a real tell as to how they DO business and this was the best experience I have ever had with a business losing my business! I also want to add that my reason for leaving the club had absolutely nothing to do with the club or its services as i had always been treated nicely by the staff in my work-outs at this club and had no problems with the cleanliness or conditions of this club. I will recommend this club because of this experience.
How you call this place 24 hour fitness when you close at midnight? The whole reason I signed up was so I could go swimming after I get off work at midnight. This is a clear case of false advertising and honestly I feel I should be refunded my annual fee as they were not able to provide the service that promised me. I simply ask that they stay true to promise that the company name provides.
I mostly like this place and I hate this place. Its overly crowded, a bit dirty, and some of the gym goers are epically annoying.... but I mostly get in my workouts just fine. The price is right, and parking is easy. Staff are SUPER friendly all the time, without fail. Ill bump it up to 4 stars if they better assess the equipment needs and put in extra machines to alleviate crowding. Some are always being used, and some are rarely ever used. They could do a better job utilizing their space.
Great gym love the basketball 🏀 court!!
False advertisement. You cant call yourself 24 hour Fitness if youre only open 20 hours. You should at least reduce membership fees. And perhaps, a little common courtesy when you randomly close 5 hours after inclement weather ends, so your customers dont waste an hour of their day prepping to go to the gym before work, just to find locked doors.Overall its a nice gym and the staff is great. But whomever owns the local franchise sucks. The only reason I still go here is because its across the street.
I’ve really enjoyed working out at this Lakewood gym. I started coming here in August of 2018 and I’ve always been greeted when checking in either by the folks working at the front desk or the trainers when I am walking through to meet with Kevin, my trainer. The new cages for lifting and squatting are awesome!! The gym stays pretty steady with people but I think only one time have I not been able to use the equipment I wanted to use because it was being used.I work with Kevin and he has changed my life!! I couldn’t have asked for someone to be so responsive to my needs and as committed to my goals as I am. I’m really glad when I signed up for a membership, I said yes to a free training session – well worth it!!!
Love this gym! Great selection of equipment. Friendly members. Wait times for equipment throughout the day are minimal, if any at all. Staff is super helpful, Jose is the man, if you need anything at all be sure to ask for him.
You walk in and the place smells like feet. Theres always something being set up or moved that you have to deal with. Some part of the spa is always down with no completion date. And if you feel like going to the gym just to sit down on a piece of equipment and get on your phone... well this is the place for you. Its a cheap gym, I get it... but inmates run gyms in prisons just fine. Whats that say about you guys? There was no zero stars option, so it got one.
Drew set me up with a personal trainer that i will be forever thanking him for. his exquisite personal touch with customer service is one of a kind. he always says hello to me by first name, and is always genuinely curious as to my progress and my happiness with ongoing training sessions and overall membership.
Lots of equipment which is great. The spa area is great but it seems to always have some kind of issue. Cant rely on the sauna or steam room to be functioning. Additionally, satellite has been out for a few weeks - should probably look into fixing that. Decent club but they should really maintain the quality of the environment.
Ive been working out at this facility for nearly 3 months. Its well maintained and has all the equipment you could need for a good workout. The only issue is when people come to the pool without proper swim wear and there is sand in the swimming pool!
They gave me back my prepaid personal training sessions from before the covid shutdown, so very happy now!
Half of the treadmills do not work correctly still. Half of them were down for about 6 weeks, then they “fixed” them but they still don’t run correctly. If you turn up the speed, the treadmill skips. The lights in the sauna have been out for a month so it’s dark in there. Pretty sure that’s a hazard.Other equipment is getting old looking. The cable machines are almost broken.Come on guys! $36 monthly for busted looking equipment is kind of a joke. The location is honestly the only good thing about this gym. And the staff is friendly.Corporate and Management might wanna look at updating equipment!VASA Fitness will end up running over 24 if they don’t.
I was considering changing gyms to this one, however I wanted to try the 3 day trial to see if I liked the gym. At first sight walking in the gym looked wonderful with lots of equipment. However, since I was using the 3 day pass I had to wait for a staff member to help me out. I made sure the girl at the front desk was looking at me, with hope she would understand that I needed help. Instead she decided to raise one finger at me telling me to wait while she finished her text message. After being at the front desk for about 5 minutes she finally decided to get up and help me. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. She told me to answer a few questions and then started to make a personal call on her cellphone. Which to me states that she doesnt want to be there. The gym itself was great, but having to deal with that staff is not worth it.
As far as a normal gym goes, this location has everything you need for typical fitness, as well as novice to late intermediate level powerlifting training, In fact this place now has the same/similar features that I have seen at super sports that I have been to. My major personal gripe is with the olympic weightlifting platforms (as coined on the 24hr fitness website). The foam used to deaden the sound of deadlifts, snatches and clean and jerks is not the same as other gyms, and is not maintained/replaced in the way that is clearly explained on the sides of the platforms. This means that the platforms are extremely loud, dont provide a consistent lifting surface (the bar could be uneven, or require the lifter to start from a deficit), and makes the loaded barbell bounce in an almost unpredictable manner. I have been to other 24hr fitness locations, as well as other big box gyms that do a far better job with their platforms.TLDR: Gyms fine, platforms desperately need to be repaired
Really disappointed in the budget cuts this place has done. They have removed the kids club out of Belmar and this facility leaving none near by it was often pretty full even having to be on a wait list sometimes and they cut there hours they are not 24 hours anymore. The staff is overall friendly and helpful and the gym stays fairly clean the pool has been down alot the past year and I have recently switched to Vasa close by and I am much happier they have many more amenities and the pricing is better for what your getting its newer still great staff the hours are the same except on weekends they are a little shorter.
Don’t even waste your time.
Jose Chavez was great. In town visiting a friend and he was super helpful. Thanks for a great visit.
This place (like most gyms) gets way to crowded between 4pm and 9pm.In the early evenings the crowd tends to be quite young... later in the evening the gym has a large number of Hispanics working out. Everyone that I have encountered seems quite nice. There are usually a few attractive women working out, but not many. Its your typical gym with about a 10:1 ratio of men to women. If you want to meet women I would join a Yoga studio not a gym. If you are an attractive woman plan to be stared at the entire time you exercise. The pool and hot tub seem to be rarely used. The basketball court is used a little more often. I have never taken a class here.
I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about the management. They overhire, put their workers on 8-15 hr week schedules at unpredictable times, and can’t communicate among the managers and the staff who should go where.Place is good to pick up weights and put them down; but if you want a solid team backing your goals, look elsewhere.
Poor Customer Service. My 13 year old son runs 5 miles per day. This 24 hour fitness is a couple blocks away. He rides his expensive electric scooter there. After months of doing this they informed him today that he could not bring it in while he ran. He is not riding it in the 24 hour fitness. 24 hour fitness just lost a life long customer. Wow.
Everything you need in a gym and they have great people working there.I enjoy it!
I love this gym. The personel are friendly, helpful, and great trainers. The equipment is updated and clean, and easy to use. the personal trainers are great people, who are very very helpful on an individual level. Thank you guys for making trips to the gym 1000x less scary with youre awesome gym!
My name is Scott R., I have been training at 24Hour Fitness since 1999, and am fanatical about staying in great shape. I am writing to express how pleased I am with Club 326, the Lakewood Sport Club. I am a regular at the Lakewood Sport, in fact, I am there daily. Since 2000, I have watched this Club evolve into one of the best in the metro Denver area. The staff is phenomenal! Everyone, the front desk people, the trainers, and sales people all work together with the collective goal of providing a great gym in which to train. I am always greeted by name and welcomed when I check in. The Club Trainers are excellent. They understand their clients training goals and tailor individualized workout regimens to meet those goals. The weight training room is nicely laid out, always orderly, and spacious. There is a large open stretching area and the locker rooms are well maintained. Finally, the cardio area is well stocked with ellipticals, stair climbers, treadmills, and stationary bikes. The Club Manager, Drew May, is terrific. Drew understands all aspects of running a successful training facility. He is focused on providing a top notch training facility. Drew always is interested in club members needs/concerns and will do whatever it takes to insure members enjoy coming to this Club. Drew is friendly, professional, and reliable.I encourage you to visit Club 326, the Lakewood Sport. I am certain you will be as pleased with it as I have been.Scott R.Golden, Colorado
Decent equipment and the pool, saunas, and hot tub are well-maintained. The staff seem to be pretty apathetic, excepting the few that staff nights/weekends and actually do their jobs, in addition to being pleasant. But I suppose that apathetic is better than pushy, rude, or meat-headed. I will provide a caveat emptor to the 4 star rating: I go almost exclusively at night, between 11pm and 1am. Daytime excursions can be counted on one hand, and while they werent unpleasant, I cantsay if they were the exception or the rule.Just like most gyms, its anxiety-inducing packed from 8am to 10pm, and pleasantly uncrowded by 11pm.
Large, a lot of equipment. Super affordable and well staffed childcare!!! And I definitely recommend Josh as a personal trainer! 🦋
The dirtiest gym Ive ever been to. Lazy employees never clean only chat. Overcrowded. Something is ALWAYS broken. I witnessed people shaving in the steam room. Going into the pool and hot tub full of sweat and in shoes. The reason I finally left was the poop smeared all over the locker room. GROSS!!! DONT GO HERE!!
A good place for all-hours workouts. A bit crowded at times - especially after work. But one should expect that, since its the most popular time for workouts. However, the hot tub is kept at a good temperature (hot, not tepid), and the showers arent constantly plagued by running out of hot water, like other places Ive been to. The swimming pool is sometimes warmed, sometimes cold enough to wonder if the water heater was even working. The equipment is good and generally plentiful. I wish they had a second power rack, as its one of the most sought-after pieces of equipment. But they do have three flat benches for pressing, plus another two at incline/decline.
The gym itself is average, the five stars is the particular service I have received through Jorge. Through out the year that I have lived in Denver, I was on the fence on either switching over to Armbrust or here. Although Armbrust does have this gym in a wide variety of equipment and more than two squat racks. What makes this 24 exceptionally good, I would point through the work that the individual workers make, which boils down to Jorges leadership and management. Not only does he strive to develop an efficient team, he takes customer satisfaction to heart.
Good gym, I enjoy working out here. Management is great, I suggested they have tampons in the womens room and the next time I came in they were there. I never feel uncomfortable here, I usually come on off hours and never had any trouble with the equipment I use. Took me a while to find the sauna lol.
Dont plan on playing basketball. They rent the court out for volleyball on most week nights..? I dont get it. I only go to this 24 because its the only court in a 10 mile radius. No heads up to the gym users until the night of... Waste of a drive and for young girls volleyball? Cant they find a church or a school gym.. ? Front desk is clueless. Feeling like membership turning into a waste..
I have gone through and read some of the reviews before posting my own in order to have an informed opinion. I give this gym 5 stars because I know what a good gym looks like and this is definitely one. I have been a member several times on and off throughout college, but I normally go to CU Boulders rec center which is a 63.8 Million dollar state of the art gym, and while this location is obviously smaller and not as up-to-date, it is staffed with incredibly friendly and knowledgeable people which is why I have given the best marks possible. Ive seen many reviews complaining about prices and membership fees, yet when I returned home for the summer and wanted to take advantage of the add a member for free promotion I was unable to since I was the original member of the family plan. While this was frustrating, bureaucracy is not a reason to ding an institution or downplay the helpfulness of staff. I created a new membership and informed the associate I would be ending my membership after August to go back to school. My associate was happy to tell me when I needed to cancel my membership before I even accrued a yearly fee. In addition to the friendly staff, I have begun working with a personal trainer named Dacota. While the prices per session are steep, roughly $70, after only 2 session where we focused on stretching and low-weight-high-rep back and shoulder routines, I can feel a significant improvement in my posture and better functionality in my injured shoulder. Dacota is phenomenal, incredibly nice, and passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals. I could write another review entirely applauding his knowledge and charisma but I suggest you take a session yourself to really understand what I mean. The Lakewood CO 24 Hour Fitness has truly impressed me. Their staff is friendly, reasonable and understanding, but strict about their corporate procedures (which is something to be respected not admonished). Their facilities offer more than enough machines even during peak hours. The people themselves are friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. The location is great with a GNC in the same shopping center. I have had no concerns about cleanliness, and very few machines are out of use, and if so are fixed promptly. While I may have had a better experience than others, I encourage you to try out this location and see for yourself.
No longer even 24 hours. If you like working out in a sauna this is the location for you. Air is controlled from California, not even any air flow, stagnate humid and crowded. This location is garbage. The trainers are rude and act like they own the place, everything is old and worn out, dirty and no employees do anything. Zero rules enforced and rampant video recording and picture taking, gym bags everywhere, some people taking up multiple pieces of equipment at a time. I could go on and on.......
Had a terrible and embarrassing experience there today. The bodycombat instructors have told the class numerous times to bring in friends, for free, to try the class. So I brought my mom to try the class. They asked for her ID twice and threatened to charge her $20 for a day pass because she was a member like 15 years ago before they even had bodycombat. The guy that helped us actually said, “I’m not trying to be a hardass.” I said to him, “If I’m not allowed to bring someone to try the class, don’t teach your instructors to say that.” BTW there were only 5 other people in the class. Don’t worry, I won’t try to get any of my other friends to come or join after this experience. I’m not even sure I want to go back.
This company must be run by scam artists. I asked for my membership to be canceled months ago and it was placed on a freeze instead. Because of the freeze I was charged a second annual fee months later. Thinking it was a mistake, I called and asked for a refund but was told the fee was non refundable even though I never used the gym this year. How much money does 24hr fitness make by charging people for services they never used?
I like this gym because it is close to my house and to my job. Ive been going here almost every morning for about 2 years. However I only want to go here in the morning because it gets too packed in the evenings. Half the time multiple machine are broken and they are slow to fix them. Ive NEVER seen staff clean! I clean every equipment I use before and after as do most other people. Its and older gym so it pretty gross to me that they dont keep up with it more. The floors are dirty(mainly in the studio and the basketball court) they need to to be cleaned badly. The work out mats are all ripped and have obviously not been updated in years. The staff is friendly most of the time they just dont do much. Out of all the 24 hour fitness Ive been to Im least pleased with this one.
This place is a bargain type gym, so dont expect too much. There are a lot of machines ranging from weights, treadmills, and elipticals. Free weights are also available. During peak hours you may have to wait for a station to open. This place has a hot tub and a pool. There are occasional issues with the tub, but that is to be expected from a 24 hour operation. The locker room is spacious with free lockers for your own lock or you can rent a locker with a combination lock. There are showers in this locker room, each with their own stall and closing doors.Other ammenities are a spin room, enclosed group workout room (classes), and a basketball court.
If you feel like ever playing basketball during the winter and you have a 9-5 do not come to this gym..or any other 24 hour fitness with a basketball court in the area. Currently they have rented the court out every night of the week, leaving the only option if you want to play to quit your job so you can come in at noon. On top of that a number of machines are always broken and i have never seen an employee clean in the 6 months I have had to come here. Worst 24 hour fitness I have ever been to. Will not be renewing my membership.
Awesome gym, only thing I could want more would be a couple TVs over by the weights.
Wont let you use a 3 day free pass if you were a previous member, even though in the fine print it says after 6 months of not being a member you can use it. They go by their own rules. I was a member here for over 8 years but had to move to a state which didnt have a 24, they also didnt cancel my membership when I asked them too. Not pleased with management here 2 years ago, feeling is still the same now
If I could give zero stars I would. This gym is clearly oversold. Unless you get in there at 4AM it’s completely packed. Additionally, half of the equipment is always broken for days on end and the pool is closed without notice regularly. I didn’t think a gym could rip me off at only $32 a month but this gym has somehow found a way. I’ll be canceling my membership today.
Awesome crew! Very helpful and the Manager Chase was great!
Ive been to better 24 hour facilities. This ones close to home.
Jose helped me out and I had an awesome experience at this location.
Jose was very friendly and helpful. He was eger to ssist us with getring signed up as a member with a smile.
What a train wreck! Save your money and spare yourself the experience. There are professional gyms close by with a way better vibe, much better equipment, and staff who actually look like they work out. Staff at 24hr Fitness wont let you use guest passes unless you agree to a tour, giving up all your personal info, and then 21 questions with a manager. Theyre trying to hard sell you a membership as soon as you walk through the door, although they contend theyre not selling anything. Odd that the alternative to this ordeal is to pay 60% of a monthly membership fee for the day pass. Believe me, this is *exactly* what I want to do right after taking my pre-workout and walking through the door. If they think you wont buy anything youre immediately ineligible for the free 3-day guest pass (despite the coupon saying nothing of the sort). $7 for a protein shake that costs $4 at GNC directly across the street. This gym is predatory, a total bait and switch.
Clean, friendly.
The staff at this location are unhelpful and rude. When their locker rooms were out of order due to construction on the showers, they refused to tell me the closest location with a pool. I told them several times that Im not using the pool without access to the locker room and shower, and he just kept repeating that they have a pool and I should just stay at their gym, while two other employees just stood there watching. I had to go out to my car and just look up another location on my phone. If an employee cant be bothered to help a customer, why even pay them to be there? Statues are cheaper and less rude.
I have had so many problems with my billing. No one at this location will do anything to fix it. They keep adding on an old friend and charging after removing them 3 times. They dont even refund us the money.
Looking for another place to work out because of the lack of airflow around the cardio equipment. Summer, Winter, it doesnt matter because the AC is controlled by their corporate headquarters. I just cant be this uncomfortable to do cardio - It makes me dread working out. I spoke with staff about it and suggested fans almost a year ago, but they are not amenable. love their bodypump class and instructor so I may keep my membership just for that, but the room is always dirty with hair and lint rolling around on the floors. Bathrooms are very old and in need of an overhaul. One drinking fountain has cold water, the others have room temp water. Like the weight machines and usually enough to not have to wait. Could have more free weights in the 12 lb and under range as they run out with classes and cant keep stocked in the middle of the gym.
Worked out at this weak gym for years because its less than a mile from my house. Chose convenience over quality. Unfriendly and incompetent staff at a place the used to have smarter and more engaging people though to be fair better folks up front recently. Equipment is out of date and broken machines dont get fixed for weeks or months. Most recently a television in a key part of the cardio area has been out for over 5 weeks. Lots of complaints and comments by a variety of regulars about that to staff and management but no action. Update: After 2 months--let me repeat, 2 months--they finally replaced the out of service tv screen. No overhead fans and poor ac in the cardio area so youll sweat a lot more than youd like. Many better options within ten minutes of this gym. I use it now only if I have to save time. No other reason to go there. Feels like 24 Hour Fitness is slowly going out of business.
Been a member for years and it is getting worse maintenance wise. The hot tub and steam room are closed more often than open. The pool temperature varies day to day. There are emergency lights that have been out for over a year. Some machines are repaired but not adjusted. The past 3 weekends have shown no soap or toilet paper in the locker rooms. You can talk to the manager but the last time I did that I was told how ungrateful I was for all they are doing. Fortunately they have other clubs relatively close to me that I can use. Too bad, this was once a terrific club to go to.,
Ive been going here for 4 years now and I must say it does get the job done but the maintenance on the equipment is very sluggish and slow. Takes them forever to get the simplest tasks done. The mens room is horribly disgusting and the members are destructive to the equipment. The personnel are friendly though and I understand that their job is tough.
This 24 Hour Fitness is in desperate need of remodeling and updated equipment. The building is old and dirty, you feel gross just walking in let alone after your workout. The equipment is constantly down for repair as well.
They dont really take care of their gym. Always dusty never dry mop. Since new management has taken over the pool and sauna have been working great.
In my experience, this location is just a giant scam with four walls and a ceiling. The trainers didnt train. They just pushed products and programs during sessions. Often it just seemed like the staff was little more than a boys club.
Great student gym with many different activities, lots of equipment, and friendly coaches.
Very unhelpful staff. Was interested in joining and asked about pricing and a tour. The guy told me I could leave my number and someone would call me in a FEW DAYS!!!!
This 24 hour is awful. The equipment is old, the classes rarely start on time and the customer service provided is awful, particularly by the club manager. I went in to cancel my membership in September, was baited to try 3 months for free on them. I decided to try it out for 3 free months but was never told that after those 3 months that I would need to call AGAIN, to actually cancel the membership. After being charged this month, I called and requested a refund as I was told that my account would be cancelled after those 3 free months. The manager refused to refund me and stated I would have to take it up with my credit card. Working in customer service for 10 years, I was shocked as companies generally do not want a chargeback on their account and would rather have a customer come back in the future rather than negative reviews. Luckily, I have a fantastic credit card company who assisted me with that chargeback. I will never be a customer of 24 hour after the horrible service I received by this facility. It is a bait and switch system and feel several are duped by this system of giving you free months of club usage. Had they just refunded my account for their illegal charge, they wouldnt be receiving another negative review.
On Tuesdays & Friday nights they rent out the basketball gym to girls volleyball group so no basketball durring those hours which is rediculous since we pay for a court we arent allowed on?? Theyre making money on the side from non members & we give up the court were paying for?? Only 1 calf mechine & nothing but 1 decline bench for lower chest theyve been needing to update their equipment for over a decade now :(
The have the best classes like bodypump, Zumba and Saturday step class with Mike. Wish the would bring the Thursday 6:30 pm bodypump class back. Also very friendly staff and always clean bathrooms and showers
Lots of space, but little variety in equipment. They only had one type of elliptical and it was the only one I dont use since you cant change directions making it worthless.
Great place, awesome staff and have a lot of great starter prices
What’s the hot tub made of, broken glass?REVIEW:I had a three-day free trial at this gym, during which I attended yoga and Zumba classes and spent time in the pool and hot tub.Atmosphere: the gym is poorly lit, under ventilated, and unclean.Meh Classes: both Zumba and yoga class were competent and workmanlike. They gave me a workout but no pleasure—and I usually adore Zumba and enjoy yoga.Pathetic Pool: very shallow throughout; around 4 feet deep.Hazardous Hot tub: I sat in the hot tub for maybe 20 minutes total. When I started to get out, I bumped my knee against a step. Since it was a light bump (not enough to bruise), I didn’t care. Then I finished getting out and noticed blood flowing down my leg from multiple fairly deep punctures. Hours later, the wound was still breaking open and bleeding. A week later, a clot came off and it started bleeding again. Four weeks later, I have a thumbprint-sized scar on my knee. The friend I was with told me the back of her swimsuit was completely ruined from leaning against theinside of the hot tub—torn in a dozen locations.What. The. Heck. We weren’t roughhousing. We were just sitting there. I’m not accident prone. I used to be a competitive swimmer, and I never injured myself on a hot tub. This is utterly ridiculous and deeply irresponsible.
I love 24 Hour Fitness, just not this one.Ive never once been there when everything is working. Mechanical issues happen, but here its very frequent. The location is in a very old strip mall that looks like it is ready to be condemned any day. Also, the whole place is built around short people... just try taking a shower without bruising your elbow, or swimming without the tips of your fingers touching the bottom (seriously) or getting caught in the ropes of the small lanes. The timer never works, the hot tub has tons of foam, the sauna and steam room are tiny (when theyre working), and the pool is too warm and shallow. They really need to cut their losses and move this to a nearby location.
