Like many others, during the pandemic I let my hair grow very long. My wife would trim the sides, but long story short: I went over a year without a professional haircut. Insert Amy at the Roosters at Denver West/Colorado Mills. She took my messy homemade man bun, and turned it into arguably the best haircut I’ve ever received. I didn’t leave her much to work with, and she pulled off what I thought was the impossible. Her skills are advanced, she is courteous and kind, and we had an enjoyable conversation the entire time. I told her to save my notes in the computer, as I want this very same haircut in the future. I highly recommend seeing Amy at Roosters if you want a professional and sharp-looking haircut!

Amy took the wild shrubbery that was my hair and made me look like a professional. She was talented, kind, and friendly. WHighly recommended.

Please don’t go here ever since this place reopened after covid it has been terrible the lady who works there has never given me what I ask for. I asked for a trim but ended up with almost a buzz cut and it was uneven.

Literally the worst haircut I’ve had, and I’d consider myself a fairly basic white guy with a very standard haircut. It was the second time I had my hair cut here, the first time wasnt terrible and she said she made notes so the next time would be easy. Not the case. She shaved so high above my ‘crown’ it looked like a Mohawk, with the back half shaved off. I literally had to shave my head because it was beyond repairing, I’ll never be coming back to say the least. Won’t even mention that it’s next to a dog boarding facility which has constant barking the whole time.

Were service Ive had in my life. Canceling my appointment but waited until the end of the day where I cant even find another place to get my cut done. With no explanation why. Dont bother even going you wont even get your appointments before its canceled just save yourself some time and go somewhere else

I took my 12 year old son here for a fade and cut. He has naturally curly hair so it can be difficult to cut. Joshua was great! Best haircut he’s had in a LONG time. We will definitely be going back.

Relaxing environment, with great professional service. Online booking makes appointments easy. Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Amy always takes extra care to ensure my cut is right and I’m comfortable the whole time.

Very clean. Not sure if it was the time of the day I was there. But it was also quite. For myself it was nice, but for business Im sure they would like to see more customers and I would encourage you to give them a chance on your next haircut or shave.

Great service from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Randomly picked Joshua online as I was making a reservation and wound up walking out with one of the cleanest cuts Ive had. I plan to return here for my next cut and book with Joshua if hes available!

This is the sort of barbershop who fills you experience with lots of “extras” but doesn’t focus on what really matters. Your haircut. I left with basically a military buzz cut with a random bald spot on my head. When I specifically showed Kayden a picture of what I wanted and showed him specifically how I wear my hair. he just chopped all my hair off. When trimming my beard he cut up my Adam’s apple pretty good. Please listen to the one star reviews, the price point they are asking is no where near the skill of the “barbers” that work there. This place is a joke and only wants money out of you. Do not go to this barbershop.

I like Roosters because they have great online booking, their staff have always been professional, and they keep notes on what style youve had in the past. Makes for an easy, no hassle appointment, appointment with great service to boot!

Have had some good cuts, but you are only as good as your last. Booked online. Was told the appointment was not valid. Went in same day, booked in-person for an hour later. Received a call that the appointment could not be met. Scheduled a third appointment for the same day and received a mediocre cut. Chair was damaged and my feet were dragging on the ground the entire time. Spoke to a manager to allow them to make it right. She advised she could do nothing and would talk to the owner. Employees are not empowered to fix problems and scheduling is a nightmare. For a premium mens haircut, I received service worse than those cut-rate providers. Will never visit this location again!

Made an appointment at 2:30 for my 3 year old son. Waited outside for 30 mins just to walk inside and get told they couldn’t cut his hair. Very unprofessional. I used to go here all the time. They have lost my business

Ive been coming back here to see Amy every time for well over a year now. As kind, professional, and generally amazing as she is at what she does, I dont plan on ever taking my mop to anybody else. And thats all without mentioning how good she made my eyebrows look as well... Couldnt be happier.

I took my son in for a haircut with Marty. It is the best haircut that he has ever received! We have taken him to kids hair shops and this surpassed all of those experiences. He is four so its hard to keep him still for longer than 2 minutes. Marty did a great job talking to him and keeping him distracted. The cut exceeded my expectations as he has been been a barber for many years. The price was very fair.

I have been going to this location for about 3 years and Amy has taken amazing care of me every time I have been in. I never have any issues when it comes to scheduling appointments and if Im in a bind and need one without an appointment, she always does whatever she can to work me in. Amazing staff and great facility! I would recommend any of my friends to go here that are in need of a haircut!

Have been going here for a year now. Ive been growing my hair out for about 4/5 months now. Went in to get a quif/trim up (lightly trim and taper the sides and cut the split ends off the top). What I got was my sideburns completely shaved off without even being asked if I wanted them removed and more than a half an inch removed from the top. I left looking like I lost a battle with a weed whacker and it cost 40$.Every decent barber who worked at this location leaves! Intially it was Taylor who did great work, followed by JR who did even better work. The lady that has replaced JR can not follow simple instructions and will butcher hair worse that a Honda mower.Spend the extra 5$ in gas and go to Crisps! They managed to salvage the mess this place made of my hair. It will now take me another 4-5 months to regrow what they hacked off. I will no longer be spending my money here.

I go here because of Amy. She is really out here trying to create a friendly, comfortable, one of a kind experience! I was thinking of switching to see what else is out there but I remembered how I can laugh and enjoy myself and obviously get a hair cut at the same time. She has held down Roosters when everyone has left Amy continues to stay.

Each one of these has a different password for the FEHC that are tiered so the provider knows exactly what’s expected and what she stands to make for desired service without ever incriminating themselves. The top tier password here is “Jingle all the way” and clients should have atleast 160.00 in pocket. Once you pick your provider you’re taken to the back of the house chair where an optional chair shower is performed, I normally opt for it but their water temp is a little on the cold side. Next comes a gentleman’s shoulder and backside rub then quick job into head and following is the first intermission where you can discuss style options and how she plans on making you the best in show. All head services are performed in a lying down position and I gotta stress for you to keep from passing out because the chair is very comfy. Once she has you feeling good comes the flip and a hot towel clean up and high five or hug depending on how you roll do not forget to tip your provider

This place has gone down hill ever since it got new management at the beginning of the year. Can the customers actually get someone in here that isnt a druggie running this place? You pay $30 for a manic druggie to cut your hair. Good job roosters.....

I have been having my hair cut at Roosters for about a year. Its a little more expensive than some places but I think its worth it. The hair cutter I go to there gives me the best haircuts I have had in years. She actually listened to what I wanted and tried to do it. My hair is thinning and pretty difficult to cut but it always looks better after she works on it.

Taylor was my stylist and wow. He did an amazing job! Very into what he does, and it shows in the quality of his work. I will absolutely be coming here again.

I went for the first time wanting a gentlemans experience of a haircut and beard trim, while it costs way more than sports cuts it was worth every penny it showed me the difference of a hair stylist and a gentlemans barber I will forevermore continue to get my haircut and shaves done at this establishment.

Had been getting great haircuts from Taylor before he transferred to the Belmar Roosters. I tried other barbers at the Colorado Mills location but wasnt getting the same quality cut i had been getting before. Now i happily drive the extra 10 minutes to Belmar to get constantly superior cut from Taylor.

It’s hard to say exactly what happened at Roosters. My normal hair stylist for about a year and a half had left the company so I got a haircut from the owner of the salon. At the end of my haircut when I looked at it in the mirror I pointed out a few things that were wrong that I could see right away. Her response to these problems where excuses: it’s texture, my hair, and the shape of my head. She made a point of letting me know that none of this was her fault and refused to fix any of the issues I brought up. I am now in the parking lot of Floyd’s barbershop with a buzz cut (the only way to fix what happened.) here’s some of the things the barber at Floyd’s noticed: my bangs were messed up (cut short like a buzz underneath but long on top, definitely the weirdest part of what she did), my hair was cut at an angle, tufts of hair where left uncut around the crown, there where a few holes (cut to deep),my sideburns weren’t even, she had cut a hole around my ear, she didn’t do the back of my neck, maybe there’s something else, I tried to remember them all. Floyd’s has apparently gotten a few re-cuts from roosters recently my barber mentioned around 6.Some other notes: The barber would not share her name, and no responsibility was taken.

I used to come here, but dont think I will anymore. Went downhill very fast in the span of a month. After losing their best stylist, which was the reason I would come, I figured Id try someone new. So, I called at 6:20 to see if I could fit in a haircut for a last minute business trip early the next morning and was told thatd be no problem if I got there by 630. Showed up at 6:30 on the nose and was told they had no availability. Thanks for wasting my time. Need to fire whoever answered that phone.

I will have to say they are great at what they do. I have been to here on several occasions were I had to have a new barber and they dealt with me and my concerns like professionals and most importantly had me looking sharp. Every time.
