Writing this for my wife, Mollie Stevens, car was a Chevy Sonic.When I first got my car, there was nothing wrong with it besides a valve cover gasket needing to be fixed. I took it into this shop who ended up not only leaving their tool under my hood but also messing up the valve cover gasket which led to oil spilling out. This oil spill not only leaked everywhere under my hood, it completely destroyed my belt over time.. We come to mechanics to get our vehicles fixed for us to leave with them and feel safe in our own vehicle. My family and I definitely had some angels looking out for us when we took the trip from WA to NC. It was only when we arrived in NC that my belt broke only an hour away from our home. Once I got a new belt on (still not knowing where the leak was) it broke again just a few weeks later. I took it to two different mechanics and neither of them could find the leak. So I popped the hood and started searching for it only to find that it was indeed the same part that I took into this shop to get it fixed. They charged me more than $200 for nothing. Not only that but they put my family in harms way. I know it’s hard finding good mechanics in Washington, but please be aware of this one.

Moose’s was recommended to me by a tow truck driver so when my car started making a rubbing noise coming from the back tires I took it to Moose’s.I never really dealt with a specific mechanic but spoke with Moose. He was friendly and let me know that the rotors were bad and needed to be replaced. I went ahead with the repair.After getting the car back, the rubbing noise was greatly reduced but still there. I called Moose’s and spoke with Moose again and he said to bring it back but I would have to wait about 2 weeks because they were really busy.(Now I work with clients as well and if a client of mine called in saying there is still a problem after we performed work for them that was supposed to fix it…I’d probably be fired if I told them they had to wait 2 weeks.) Since they did the work I wanted them to look at it again and so I agreed to wait.Now during that wait time I started to get a “whirring” sound from the engine and so I called Moose to see if they could look at that as well once the car was back at their shop. He said “No problem.”So the day came and I took the car in the day before and dropped it off so it would be there first thing the next morning. About 1pm and with still no call from Moose’s…I called them. Moose told me me that they hadn’t looked at my car yet but they were gonna try and get to it soon. About 3pm I called again and they were looking at it had about 15 mins left in the inspection. When Moose’s did call back…on the rubbing issue…nothing was found as far as the rotors or pads and while they agree the rubbing is still present, it was barely noticeable and it could be coming from the material on the brake pad. ( a note on my invoice says “some brake pads have a tendency to make noise). Now just to be fair here…Moose’s didn’t put my brakes on…Les Schwab did, but I didn’t even get a recommendation that I should take it back to them to look at.As far as the whirring sound…Moose told me it was my power steering pump and it would need to be replaced. He gave me a estimate and I said: “Go ahead”. He said he would order the part and start on it in the morning. About 11am or so the next day Moose calls me and told me that after doing some more checking and having another person listen to the noise…they determined it was not the power steering pump but the a/c compressor. Gave me a price and said it would be another day. I decided not to go with the work and went and picked up the car and will find another shop to verify and replace the a/c compressor.The bottom line is that I didn’t feel that the whole process was very professional. From the having to wait 2 weeks to bring my car back to the shop, to the inability to determine the actual cause of the rubbing noise and the explanation to the misdiagnosis of the noise issue. I was going to give this review a 3-star overall until I got home and popped the hood to just look at the compressor. Seems the techs as Moose’s apparent’y aren’t very good at picking up after themselves…I found two shop towels laying on my engine. Thank God they didn’t move while driving home and get caught in something.And on a special note: I like to talk to the mechanic who works on my car….just to see if there is anything I should know or be concerned with. You won’t be able to do that at Moose’s. Every time I asked to talk to the mechanic…Rod the gentleman that works the front desk ran interference. I got every excuse under the sun as to why I couldn’t talk to the mechanic, from “He’s busy” or “Well he puts really good notes show you shouldn’t have any questions.” Kind of a jerk. Moose’s has good review from people saying its a good place to have work done on your car…it’s just not for me.

$77 just for an oil change and only to let my camery engine scream like a beat up truck, with low oil pressure light on due to faulty filter an hour later. I was in Bremerton at that time and drove to the nearest auto shop to get it fixed. When I returned, the owner blamed me for not following the warranty instructions on the receipt and refused to offer an easy refund. Seriously, who would look at their receipt and call some fine print number when the car is running with crazy noise and looks like it would break down any second out of town? And you think I tried to scam you? I just dont think $77 worth an hour of drive is all. Been a long time customer and now I would suggest avoiding this place at your caution.

Guess I found my new permanent mechanic shop. They are honest with their work, estimates and time for how long a car repair takes and that I appreciate. Had wheel bearing issues on my 02 CRV and had the best best price and service here compared to any other average mechanic office ive been to. And believe me I did my research for best price for not being to cheap and good value. Listen to the google reviews because they are true it’s a GREAT PLACE! I will no longer go anywhere else for major repairs and the family will be continuing to go here from now on. Only place I will ever go to from now on to keep my 250k car running forever till it hits that 999k mark hopefully. So happy I called them and for future repairs. Call them and visit the office it’s amazing!

My husband just took our 2018 VW Atlas for an oil change. This not our first experience by any means. This time however, they were 1.5 hours late on changing it from the appointment time. I made the appointment friday morning for noon on monday. Today they claim they didnt have the proper oil for our car. They also randomly charged us an additional $27 for an oil change due to many excuses. He claimed they didnt charge us for a filter last time. When my husband got home I pulled out our paperwork only to find every thing listed was identical except for the total price. Needless to say we will not be returning.

I took my car in for a check engine light. I know nothing about cars, and could have easily been scammed. They called and told me that there was nothing wrong, the lights had just came on according to the manufacturer settings for mileage. I have since taken my car in for needed repairs, and they are always friendly, professional, and fairly priced.

Mooses is great because I really dont know enough about automotive to be skeptical at the mechanic, and they didnt abuse that trust. My first time coming to them and the staff treated me with respect, and were way honest. The owners son has his Boy Scout patches on the wall, and he still honors those values. Seems like their ethics game is strong in the shop.I thought I had an electrical grounding issue, and they really couldve spent all day tearing apart my car and racking up the hourly rate, but in 30 minutes they found the problem. Im definitely coming back.

We’ve been here THREE times and each time they would temporarily fix it and then it’d have issues again, 91’ toyota MR2. We had to have the vehicle towed 3 times and footed the bill each time. Well the last time we drove the vehicle off the lot, after they had it for 2 days, it overheated on the freeway. We popped the hood and they didn’t replace the radiator cap (that we were charged for) AND it had the SAME problem. Apparently they forgot to put the cap on. We returned to the shop and were told it was fine and it was just the radiator cap. We requested a refund for the tow and the owner Moose was extremely unprofessional! He kept saying he spoke to my brother but my mother was in constant communication with him. The only time my brother spoke to him was when he asked if the vehicle was ready. We will never return to Moose’s auto tech and will tell the rest of our friends and family to avoid this place.

I had a Hummer H3 with electrical problems taken in to Moose’s garage, they diagnosed the problem for a reasonable fee and then proceeded to complete the repair without hassle. Will be taking my other truck there for repairs as soon as I have the money. They seem to know what they are doing, unlike a lot of other so called mechanics. Props to Moose for the reasonable repair bill and prompt service

My husband and I used this business to try and fix my Mazda. It had trouble starting so we brought it in for them to take a look at. They told us they found the issue that was causing my car not to start. We thought this was great so we paid for the service and brought the car home. Two weeks later my car broke down again the exactly same way it had before. Clearly illustrating that the issue we were charged for did not get fixed. (Keep in mind we paid $330 for this issue that Moose Auto Tech said was fixed). We brought my car back in to have them take a look at and they could not find anything wrong with my car and said it was fine to take home. My husband had to haggle with them to take the diagnostic charge off of our previous bill since they clearly diagnosed my car incorrectly. After they couldn’t find anything wrong the second time, we took my car home only for it to die again the very next day. So now I have paid for a service that I never got from this place. I am out the money they charged me and still have the exact same problem. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to get their car fixed. They charged me for something they said they fixed when they clearly did not. Very disappointed

Mooses Auto Tech SAVED THE DAY for one of my wheel chair van drivers! We are a medical transport business based out of Grays Harbor County and had a driver stuck on the side of I-5 with no power to his van. I called around to several places looking for help, but no one was willing to send someone out there. Our mechanic was 2 hours away and we were thinking we may have to get the van towed until I finally called Mooses. The gentleman who answered the phone was SO helpful. When he found out our driver was stranded I could tell he really wanted to help. He got the year/make/model of the van and had me send him a picture of the broken battery cable we had discovered. He then sent a tech out who got the van running at a VERY reasonable price. This all took about 30 minutes, which was amazing since my driver had been on the road since early that morning. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Mooses Auto Tech and will be calling again if Im ever in need.

The service was excellent and the price was very fair. Fixed my car way faster than expected (on Thanksgiving week) and I am more than satisfied about the repairs. I will return again for future car repairs and services. I highly recommend them.

I have been a long time customer of Mooses since they were in a two-bay shop adjoined by a gas station. At that time, my 1996 Grand Caravan needed a transmission replacement. I was about to take it to a dealer until the tow truck driver suggested I give Moose a try. Working solely with dealers my reluctance to try someone unknown was considerable but was overcome when the driver explained to me that Moose had provided free basic vehicle care classes to the wives of servicemen who were being deployed to Iraq. Someone who was willing to care for our servicemen and their families was worth a try. The advice was well worth the taking as Moose replaced the transmission, the half-shafts, water pump, timing belt, leaking seals, and gaskets all for about two-thirds the cost of what the dealer was going charge for only the transmission replacement.Since then, Mooses has grown to a twelve-bay facility constructed specifically for Moose and his team. Every visit finds them very busy handling a multitude of customers and I would venture to say that this is probably typical daily. However, this increase in business has not changed their core principles of service---open, honest, fair, quality, cleanliness, and just as importantly constant communication. Their shop is the cleanest I have experienced even beyond most dealers and is well-equipped with the latest in technological diagnostics and tools.Their lobby and restroom is extremely clean and comfortable and I have even waited throughout the day in their lobby taking care of my work while they took care of my car.The people are friendly, cordial, courteous and great conversationalists giving one a warm, sincere feeling that you are more than a customer to them and that you are not alone with your vehicle problems. You are more like a welcomed friend and Mooses adorable pugs add the warmth of a home to the shop.I have trusted all of my vehicles to Mooses, recommended others to have their vehicles serviced by Moose and his team and I will continue to come to Moose first whenever possible.Loyally,Charles

I did the overnight drop off at 6am as they do not open until 9am. Had a slow leak on a tire. They had it patched by 10am and did it for free!! Will be going back.

Knowledgeable staff, with fair prices. They have always done quality work for me and dont try to rip you off by selling you stuff you dont need. It is hard to find a shop that will be as upfront and honest as they are.

Horrible service. They don’t give you a price estimate in the beginning and later come up with lots of charges which they could have said in the beginning like we are going to do this and that and these are charges for this problem but no they will take the care in and then work on it and later they will add bunch of nothing and bring a huge amount of bill. And they say something on phone and do different when you take your vehicle. Obviously no one does it for free cause the guy over there was trying to tell me that we don’t do anything for free and I know that but you can’t charge $1200 for just changing a catalytic converter by adding lots of extra charges.I see here a lots of good comments which can be kept by paying money to keep the rating up and pay to take of tons of actual comments. So good luck people these people are snakes.I will never go here if you are army please stay away from this place.

Mooses Auto Tech is the place to go!I bought an older Honda CR-V from a private seller to move down to Texas and there were a NUMBER of issues with this car. Moose and his crew were honest about the damage, broke it down for me so Id understand what they were saying (Im not a car guy), and gave me incredibly fair prices. AND theyre accommodating! The day before I left for Texas, my engine light came on! I called them, spoke with Moose about it, and he made a space for me RIGHT THEN!These people are fair and understanding, and have never been anything but kind to me and my family. I 100% recommend Mooses Auto Tech to ANYONE who needs automobile help.My only regret is that Moose didnt move to Texas with me! I dont know who Im going to trust as much as him!

I had Mooses Auto Tech rebuild my engine on my 97 Dodge ram and they did a great job. The mechanics are good their work was good, and they accomplished everything I was wanting done to the truck. It has been around 2 months and no problems with the truck.

Took my van to Mooses at least two times. Totally satisfied with their reliable repairs. Awesome service and clean facilities. Yes! Went back because they can be trusted to put the customers first.

I had an issue with my car that couldve been belts (cheap), alternator (expensive), maybe both (even more expensive). As it turns out it was just the belts, which made me quite happy & good to know the folks who work there are honest & not just out for your dollar. This is a AAA approved shop which means all the work is guaranteed & u get a 10% discount on your bill for being a AAA memeber. I had a last minute emergency yesterday and I spoke to Dan and informed him I was leaving tomorrow to drive to North Carolina and I had to get my car fixed. He had me bring it in this morning(6/21) and would have it taking care of. Jim and Dennis and Moose along with Dan knocked out my car repairs for me. Dan also kept in contact with me and let me know the status as well as when there was a problem called me to have me come in and show me before making any repairs. I wish every auto shop worked this way!! Because of those 4 I can drive my car to North Carolina with out any worries at all. I recommend this shop and this should be your first call before you call any other shop!!!!

My husband took his car to Mooses after a minor accident. They ensured that the car would be fixed when we got back from VA and it was not. After getting the car back and driving it for less than a day the car broke again in the same stop they said they fixed, they offered to fix the problem again. We took the car back to have them fit it again and after driving it we realized it still was not fixed. We gave them one more shot to fix the problem and the problem still continued. We ended up taking the car to the Honda dealership and found out they put the wrong part on the car and thats what was causing the problem. Finally Honda was able to get the job done right. He payed Mooses close to $1500 just to turn around and have to pay Honda to actually fix it. My husband is currently on his way to GA for a PCS move and last night called to inform me that the tire that Mooses put on his car blew out while driving down the freeway, it turns out the new tire they put on and charged him for way not new at all and could have caused some serious harm to my husband. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MOOSES TO ANYONE! from our experience they just lie to their customers and take money for work that was half ass done.

They wanted $100 to diagnose a check engine light when I already said I was pretty sure I knew what it was. They didnt end up charging because I said I didnt want them to do it, but they read the code and said it was going to be a $300 fix. I forget the split for parts and labor, but its a $60 part online, and for the extra $240, I can figure out how to do it myself.

My girlfriend and I were traveling to Seattle for a family event when our car overheated late at night on Route 5. The next day Daniel diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly (radiator). He communicated effectively and enthusiastically. We were able to leave Seattle on schedule.

I was told elsewhere that I my water pump was leaking and I needed to have it replaced. Daniel looked at it and pressure tested it and could not find a leak. They saved me $800. They were honest with me and I appreciate them..

Was charged 115.00 dollars for a diagnostic test. But they couldnt find anything wrong after having my car for a week. I go to pick it up and it has a slow start. So i leave it again. Two weeks later, (and i had to call them to check on my car. They never called me to update) i get a call that its my battery so for another 200 Bucks oil change included and three weeks later. My car is finally done. Really 3 weeks for a battery change. Im telling you if u want good honest service go to midas on bridgeport in lakewood. I only tried these idiots at moose because it was closer to post. I never had problems with midas.

These guys are terrible. I had two very negative experiences with them. First I brought in a van with a leaking radiator and 160K miles on it. They replaced the radiator, but reinstalled the same hoses and clamps. 120 miles later, as I passed Yakima, a hose blew out. The mechanic who re-repaired it couldnt believe someone would replace a radiator and put old, stiff, cracking hoses back on. Thinking anybody can make a mistake, I brought another car in for a repair to the automatic transmission. $2,000 for that. It made it as far as Cle Elum before it ran out of transmission fluid due to a severe leak. Oh, and it would NOT lock into Park. I took it to a REAL transmission shop, who fixed it quickly. They indicated Mooses did not put a necessary seal and spring on the front pump assembly, which caused the leak; and they installed a locking pin backwards in the final output, which is why it would not go into park. Bottom line? Poor workmanship, no quality control, no test drives, no pride in workmanship. Avoid these guys!

Took my vehicle there to get window fixed... to save time rather than doing it myself ... vehicle was there for 5 hours when I came back just to be told the guy working on it was out at lunch and to wait for him to get back .... seriously? Thats trash service
