Theyre great and personable people. They even checked and switched my air filter because it was so bad. I always come here for help and hope that they arent busy.

Took my 2008 Audi A4 wagon for some continuous problem that I cant troubleshoot at home. Brad was a very help gentleman and everything was going well until I went to pick up my car and talk to Jim.Evidently Jim is not nice and IS very flipping RUDE.I was discussing my bill with Jim when all of a sudden he was thinking I was arguing with him when actually I was trying to get an explanation on a charge. He rips the bill up in front me. What a poor customer service on his part not being able to explain the charge on my bill and poorly handle the situation. Jim took off one of the charge on my bill and I paid and left.I wasnt too sure if Jim had fix my car so I test drive it before going home. Not even 20ft after I came out of his shop the car still has the same problem. I continued to drive it another mile to reassure myself of the problem. And sure enough it wasnt fix. I drove back. Parked it but didnt turn off the car just to show Jim the problem was never fixed.As he comes out to talk to me the car died in front of him.He asked for my credit card and issued my refund.Wow! What a place to treat a decent customer that wants his car troubleshot and fixed. Would never return here again !Brad, if youre reading this review please chime in!

Ive been going to Jims Automotive in Lakewood for years now. If you are looking for a great mechanics that gives you quality repairs, excellent prices and someone you can trust you need to go to Jims. Each and every time Ive taken my car in for service I know that Im getting exactly what is needed and Im always totally satisfied with a job well done!

Honest, hard working mechanics here.

A small dirty shop in the parking lot of a gas station. Jim is a non verbal grumpy old fart. And, he is awesome. He has diagnosed my wifes car twice, work was done efficiently, and the price was very reasonable. I left her dead car in the parking lot and gave the keys to the gas station clerk and Jim had it fixed by lunch the next day.

The problem with the gas pipe was not resolved. It is worse than before. The did not replace the burnt out blinker bulb as I requested. Im not sure that they even changed the oil as I also requested because the next service mileage sticker has not been updated. It still shows next service is 2K miles ago.

Jim has worked on my for 35 years,. His repairs were very competent, and he only recommended the necessary repairs to keep my cars running reliably.

I was just there getting gas- my battery died in my van. I ran up & asked if they could jump my car.. long story short they moved around cars & replaced my battery for me on the spot for a great price! I had my two small children with me & and was stressed. They were fast, efficient, & nice. Thanks you guys!!

I had a work vehicle blow an engine and Jims Auto were very honest about costs to repair it. They said probably not worth it. So instead of trying to sell me on a repair they told the truth. Time to get a new truck! Honest repair shop and they will have me as a client from know on

Been going to Jim for over 15 years and never been anything less than totally pleased, both with the work and the customer service. One of the last honest, fair and reasonable mechanics out there. A true gem.

Dont be confused by this guys easy talking. Hell do things to your vehicle without telling you first and then say well,you needed it. He never completed the work I asked him to do,but i was charged for it anyway,like repairing my turn signals. I had NO oil leaks before I took my truck to him. After the work was done,i had 3 leaks. I took the truck back to him and he fixed the leaks,but charged me $270 to do it. Find another mechanic!

Jim is a nice guy, old school mechanic, good honest shop.

Terrible/. handprints all over the truck and they rammed my trucks back tailgate into something and I had to pull the dent out to get it open because it was stuck shut! and that is the least of the headache and money I put into this whole ordeal. He fixed my slave cylinder and then I get it back with the new broken tailgate +$520 for the parts and labor(Thanks) and the clutch starts going out and grinding so bad I had to drive it without the clutch for a week going to and from work which is LA traffic, and its not easy to do. THEN he tells me I need to come back and get the CLUTCH REPLACED!!!! OMFG thats another $700-....NO way. So I decided to read my manual and BAM ….BLEED THE CLUTCH. I did and I fixed the problem that was never there before I took my truck in. So I call him and tell him I had fixed the problem and for him not to have gone to the first and easiest and cheaper solution rather he insisted I needed to replace to clutch.. Thats like a doctor telling you need surgery when all you needed was a change of diet. These people do NOT care they will just make you believe you need something you either dont need or you do need it and they know a better more convenient fix for the customer, they will withhold that information and go for the jugular and RIP YOU OFF with the most labor and most costly bill! WATCH OUT!

This guy was the biggest jerk on the phone from the start. If youre looking for an easy going guy, it aint him. He does kinda sound slow and friendly, but hes not real nice once you talk to him. Try him out, youll see. Lol.
