I am so happy that I chose this ppace to start ny journey in martial arts. All the instructors and even the students are very helpful and welcoming. The parents of the students get to watch their children practising and they’ve always been very helpful to me every time I needed help with my gear. Highly recommend this place for anyone of ANY AGE to start their martial arts journey here.

I brought my son to Karate Beyond because I wanted him to gain some additional self confidence and discipline. Master Jae has had a great influence on him, and my son loves going to karate. He’s excited to say yes sir, no sir, please, etc, which is pretty amazing for a five year old. We’re very happy with Karate Beyond and recommend it to anyone.

We have been so thrilled with our experience at Karate Beyond. Our daughter (7) and son (5) are both enrolled, and they are always so excited to go to class. They ask us every day if they get to go to karate. We were looking for an activity that they could do that would promote physical fitness, but Master Jae and his staff go above and beyond by focusing on discipline and respect as well. Master Jae is great with kids and makes class fun for the kids and the parents. We are definitely ambassadors for Karate Beyond!

Our son and daughter attend Karate Beyond and it is an amazing experience for both of them. Their class goes beyond teaching them self defense, it also incorporates respect and awareness of themselves and others.The kids were disappointed when they thought they may have to miss karate class due to the uncertainty these days, but Master Jaes live streaming online classes have been fantastic! Master Jae has always been a teacher for both of our daughters and Karate Beyond has been the best forum yet. Very forward thinking and truly engaging for the students. Being a member of KB has done wonders for my youngest daughters confidence and overall fitness, both mentally and physically.

Master Jae can only be described as exceptional. Not only does he know every student’s name, but he knows exactly what each student is capable of, just by observation. He has an eye for potential. He can pull the best part of you even when you don’t think it’s possible.This man and his staff are the best thing my son is a part of. We highly recommend this teacher and this school. You’d be a fool not to follow his teachings.

It brings me great comfort that, because of Master Jae and his team, both my kids are learning how to defend themselves in the event that they ever may need too. Whats more is that they are also both learning respect, discipline, and focus. Not that these things arent implemented in our home but its nice that they are fine tuned at the dojo as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Both my son and daughter love Karate & Beyond! They teach the kids discipline, respect, and self-control but allow them to have fun! Master Jae truly cares about his students and treats all of us like one big family. His approach teaches traditional martial art fundamentals but also incorporates self defense techniques. Professional instruction with an intentional component of practical application. My child loves karate days and is being challenged physically and mentally. She is gaining confidence and learning to push herself. The adult/teen classes are fun yet physically challenging (and a great community). The facility is clean and centrally located. The staff is friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and supportive. Communication about schedules and opportunities is prompt and efficient. I highly recommend Karate Beyond.

Our 5 year old absolutely LOVES Karate Beyond! Master Jae and his staff are exceptional and foster an environment of respect, discipline, and kindness. Master Jae cares about Carter life and development, not only within the Dojo, but also outside of it and in his success in school. Very thankful to have a positive community to surround our son with! The cherry on top is the after-school pick up they provide. If youre considering it, definitely get your child registered! Its well-worth the small investment!

Since being under Master Jae’s instruction, I have watched my son having so much fun, while gain self-confidence. Every lesson reinforces a healthy respect for others while teaching him skills that he will continue to use throughout his teen and adult life.I was so impressed, I started to take the adult class. I am astounded how much I have been able to learn and grow. This was not something even remotely in my comfort zone. I was terrified to walk through the door as a student. As the weeks and months have passed, I am so grateful that I was persuaded to take the first step. I have lost weight, become more flexible, and my stress and blood pressure have dropped; all while learning a new skill set and having a great time. It seems old dogs can learn new tricks. I am so excited to continue this journey. Master Jae is AMAZING.

Joining Choes Karate has been the best choice we have made for Talan. He loves going to class and values Jaes teaching, not just in karate but in life. Jae takes special interest in the whole child.

My children love Karate Beyond! The location may be new but Master Jae is not and it shows in every way. His knowledge of the sport is superb, his rapport with the children is outstanding and his passion runs deep. Not to mention, the location is clean and professional and I feel confident sending my children here. I questioned how much my youngest (4) would get out of these classes, as I didnt want it to just be a fun place to socialize but it was quickly clear that she is getting so much more out of them. I love the confidence shes developed and the pride she takes in learning the moves and earning her stripes. The privilege of taking classes is also a motivator to my son (8) outside of the studio, so hes quick to get his chores and homework done so that he can make it to class. Master Jae is very in-tune to the students and Ive seen him calm nerves, brighten moods and step in with corrections when needed. Best of all, these wonderful things are all happening while the kids are having fun! Highly Recommend!

Our son was a little hesitant at his first lesson, but Master Jae was able to draw him out. By the end of the session he didn’t want to leave! My children have been going to Karate Beyond since it opened up and they absolutely LOVE IT. They currently attend 2 days of the 4pm class and, honestly, theyd be happy to be there everyday if they could. I love the early time for the class as it still allows us to be home in time to make dinner and have a relaxed evening.Master Jae is amazing with children of all ages. He really knows how to reach them, encourage them, and teach them in a way that is really cool to watch. He not only teaches them the physical aspects of karate but also emphasizes respect, kindness, and integrity as well. Our daughter loves Karate at Choe’s Karate Beyond! It’s so amazing to watch my 3 year-old’s progress. She has come such a long way from her first class. Seeing the change in her attention, focus, her confidence and endurance to push through hard workouts has been amazing. For her first couple classes, I questioned whether or not she was ready. She had trouble staying focused and got tired easily, but we pushed through and today there was a new boy in her class who came for the first time. Piper helped show him what to do. Master Jae used her as the example for demonstrating the skills they practiced. What started out as running around and through obstacles for my daughter has become an organized and intentional practice of real skills. I can actually see the real change in her level of performance and knowledge. Karate has been such a benefit to her focus, confidence and fitness and it’s a privilege to witness her hard work paying off. So thankful for this amazing Karate studio and Master Jae’s skillful leadership and gift of working with these 3-year-olds!
