Love starting my journey back to good health after cancer and kidney disease. Only downside I can find is that the music is way too low at 6-6:30 a.m. (almost nonexistent), also I wish there was a personal trainer available early a.m. or evenings for those of us who work 7-5 and cant meet with one during business hours. I have no idea how to use the machines, so Im relegated to only the treadmill. Overall, the gym itself is great and everyone there is nice. :-)

I have not bought the membership due to my own financial conditions, but I truly loved the professionalism with which Kent was able to communicate with me! I really enjoyed the tour with Kent! He was very polite, knowledgeable, and a great person to talk to about the gym. He showed passion and care for me which I truly appreciate and value. And this makes me feel great about Planet Fitness because I was left with a great impression and memories. Thank you, Kent for your time and concern!

Tried to buy x2 waters on my way out, nice kid has trouble ringing me out. Charge processed, showing on my ApplePay, my bank account, and their CC terminal as approved, but their POS side didn’t show the transaction. The manager (Steven) attempted to charge me again, and I told him he could do so, but I’d cancel my membership because this had already turned into a 10 minute affair for 2 bottles of water. His response was, “Well, if your dollar is so important to you, go ahead and cancel.”Cool, man. I’ll try another gym.

Place is always clean. As well as the restrooms. Very spacious..

I have been to Planet Fitness gyms all over the USA and this one was the nicest, clean, well maintained, the employees were great and I cant wait to start there...

Owners wack and bold went in everyday minding my own business told me I couldn’t wear a certain shirt so I wore long sleeves and hoodies and today I wore a shirt that he told me would be ok for me to wear and now it telling me I’m not aloud back horrible costumer service get a life

The gym equipment is old, has tears and rips and machines are rusted. The lighting is very dim. This gym needs some upgrades stat!!! If you are used to a newer gym you are going to be disappointed.

GM Steven is very unprofessional so be careful. I signed up for a membership at the beginning of January when they were offering the free sign-up deal. At check out you always pay some type of start up fee which mines was under $4 so I did a one time payment on my credit card then set up my automatic withdraws with my checking account and associated debit card as they require. By mid January they were already charging me my monthly(1st res flag), at the beginning of February my attempt to close out this account was later brought on to my attention that it was never actually closed when I noticed a second payment withdrawal but this time on my credit card. I never once authorized for this automatic withdraw so when I took the matter up with the general manager at this location as mentioned before, he was just very nasty in the way he handled the situation. He told me it is what it is and there’s nothing he will do to make this right. When I asked for the contact information of his higher authority to escalade this matter to someone who does care to listen. He stated....” he’s all there is and payments will continue to be withdrawn anyway they can” he called me a liar when I explained to him that this should’ve never happened when I did my part in canceling this membership. He said I’m not owed a refund. Keep in mind I have never stepped foot once in the gym since I started this membership in which they have record of and are aware yet withdrew two payments from two different accounts and just because somebody on their end didn’t do their job properly he holds no responsibility and told me “my lost, go another route”.

Biggest RIP OFF!!! I signed up a year ago, days before the pandemic hit. Here we are a year later, today is the 1st day Ive stepped into the building! I go in to cancel and they say I owe yearly fee, if I dont want to pay, I have to come M-F between 9-5, WHEN REGULAR PEOPLE WORK! You guys make it inconvenient to cancel, by having to come in!! All the while its a WHILE PANDEMIC! Now I cant even cancel without paying more, for something I havent used!!

I enjoy my casual workouts here. The “no judgement zone” is great for those of us who aren’t super fit and that don’t spend all day in the gym. I enjoy the black card membership. It gives me discounts on the drinks, massage beds, massage chairs and more. The facilities here are always clean. The staff is always helpful and pleasant and Greg you with a smile. Thanks.

They will steal from your bank account, lie about fees and they are Very rude. With Crunch Fitness so close I dont know why anyone would go here. Steve was rude and unprofessional as a representative of Planet Fitness. Luckily my son does strength training at Elite Training and can get the rest at Crunch because Planet has terrible customer service.

Probably the largest PF I have been to. Great staff and VERY clean environment. Im just visiting so Im not sure if its always like this, but this past week has been an extremely enjoyable experience.

It meets all the basic needs, dont go to hard, they have a reputation of telling you to keep it down. Not this one in particular. At this location, the workers leave me alone. The music is too loud at times.

This is a great place to start your workout journey. Its always very clean and the employees are really nice and helpful. It can be quiet busy at times but there is usually enough workout equipment for everyone.

This gym has the most positive reviews of any gym on the Southside of Lakeland. Planet Fitness is the fastest-growing gym franchise in America for a reason. This is a fun and friendly way to continue your gym habit or to start it. Staff is always present and willing to help you out. As someone who was a certified personal trainer, I can say this gym has more then what you need to train your body efficiently. They also have the cheapest of premium memberships coming in at 22.99/ to bring a guest while all other gyms around dont give that benefit until 24.95+. Only gym around with Hydromassage Beds and Massage Chairs. If you can land a membership while the special is going for no contract, you found the best deal there is.

I like this gym. There is plenty of equipment and you dont feel rushed to get off cardio machines. The prices are good and there are no hidden fees. I wish there were some group fitness classes, but you know what you get/dont get when you sign up. I also wish more people wiped down their machines when they finished. This is gross and it grosses me out when they dont do it. I see it happen all of the time. I shower here in the morning before work. The facilities are clean for the most part, but I think the shower curtains arent changed frequently. Overall, I think it is a nice gym with good equipment and locker room facilities. The price is also right.

So I joined planet fitness in January of 2020 and was charged a flat fee of $3 to join the gym. A few days later the $10 a month came out of my account which I was okay with assuming this was the charge for January. About a week afterwards before January came to an end I was charged another $10 unexpectedly and subsequently got charged a $30 overdraft fee by my bank. I called planet fitness asking about the new random charge and they claimed it was normal. So at this point I’ve gone to the gym twice and payed $53 dollars. In the middle of February I’m charged another $10 for the flat fee and I decided I didn’t have enough time to go anymore so I canceled at the end of February. March comes around and AFTER I canceled my membership I’m charged a $32 annual fee and the $10 March fee at the beginning of the month instead of the middle. I called furious and confused as I was no longer a member but Planet Fitness said I couldn’t “dodge” the annual fee so late into February. As someone who went 10 times in 2 months I ended up paying well over $100 and was refused a refund. Horrible experience. Horribly handled. Would not recommend.

Its my favorite Gym!

Ive been a member here for more than 2 years. My daughter and I try to go at least 3 times a week. They are good at cleaning and maintaining the machines, as well as the facilities. Positive atmosphere. Ive only had one negative experience, and that was with a staff members attitude, and the situation was handled with a quick response by the manager. Overall, the best gym Ive joined.

I have enjoyed my membership at Planet Fitness these past few years (just need to go more often!) Facility is clean and the machines all work fine. The staff could do a better job of making sure that everyone wipes down the machines when they are finished (maybe more signs?) And a few times when Ive been there on a Saturday or Sunday evening, the staff will turn off the fans 30-45 minutes before closing which makes it impossible to finish my workout (too hot!) So Im forced to leave.

Overall I like this gym and have been going here for almost a year. The gym overall is very modern looking and is very clean. There is a large variety of equipment although it’s definitely about 70 percent cardio equipment. That being said there is enough weight equipment to get done what I need to do personally at least for now. Really the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because some of the staff does not come across as all that friendly. Some of them I would say I would say almost kind of look stuck up. Nothing like getting a blank stare with no hello or emotion when you check in! In all fairness maybe they are just shy :) That being said there are 2 particular staff members which I believe are the 2 newest guys there who are over the top friendly every single time. They always smile and say how’s it going....and always say have a good day when you leave...definitely full of great positive energy that any company should find valuable. Also one gentleman who I see more during the daytime who’s be there a while that is much like this also. Being a small business owner I see this as a huge deal I guess. I unfortunately don’t know their names but it’s not hard to figure it out once you get there. Hopefully that energy doesn’t go unnoticed or taken for granted by their employer and ends up with some good raises, promotion or something because it means a lot to a customer. After all the brand of the company is more on the employees faces rather than the banner outside.

If I could give this location a zero I would! Avoid the South Florida planet fitness at all cost! They are incredibly rude, disrespectful and extremely entitled. They are taking advantage of customers during a global pandemic! Charging my bank account while I’m unable to use the gym due to COVID.

Clean facility, pleasant staff, spacious locker room and plenty of equipment. Always use this fitness center when visiting from out of state, getting a 24 hour pass for 10 bucks, which usually gets me two workouts. FYI, there is only a Smith Machine for those wanting to bench press, and I didn’t really see a good area with mats for stretching, etc. Other than that, would highly recommend!

Cheap monthly rate. Equipment in excellent shape. At least 2 of every type of machine. Its not often you have to wait for one. This is a fitness center and not a gym. You can only use a Smith machine to press and ez bar weights stop at 70 lbs.

They have soooooooo many treadmills and different elliptical type that it is well needed during the hours of 5pm-7pm with the after work rush, especially on Mondays. The group classes are great, dont forget to try them out!

The staff makes this place awesome! Not too busy during the week, and always an awesome music playlist going on at the gym.

Cant beat the price. Atmosphere is super laid back. Plus the hydromassage bed is a super stress relief. The tanning beds work great. And the personal trainer is now included in the black card membership. So planet fitness is the go to gym.

I really enjoyed my membership at P.F. The price was right and the equipment was always in good order. They expanded the gym twice while i was there to keep up with the increases membership. When it was time for me to leave it was completely hassle free,

I enjoy going to this gym. This is where I chose to start working out again after not being a member of a gym for 14 years. My favorite staff member is Angel. She always greets me with a smile.I love the hydro bed! I wish I had one at home.

Good cheap gym with a lot of equipment and friendly staff. The popular machines often need maintenance and when telling the staff theyre not overly interested in identifying the defective machines. EX: treadmill X doesnt incline, notify staff so they can put a note on it and call maintenance. Next time you visit, the same machines include still doesnt operate.

Love this place!!!!!! The only gym i know that the people dont judge you as you do your thing. They have many things to offer at a single monthly rate. No contract so you can cancel at any time. The people are friendly and are more then willing to give you a walk through so go see for yourself. I bet you dont leave without a membership!

I guess Planet Fitness will be known for commoditizing the fitness Market. Ultimately, I think they do a pretty decent job in this space. For $19 a month you get full gym access almost 24/7 plus tanning beds massage and some other amenities. Planet Fitness is not a bad place to join if youre not crazy hardcore. They also have a good Core Body strengthening the area which is why I have incredible abs

Hours are deceiving.Good gym, plenty of equipment. I love the 30-minute workout area. Staff is very friendly. The sign outside says theyre open 24/5, but they are only open 24/4, with shorter hours Sunday, Friday, and Saturday.

Wasnt really a big fan of PF, until this one! Love the staff, always so friendly, and the girl who signed me up was super nice and explained everything so well, she was so good I was originally going to get the $10 a month but she convinced me that the black card was better for $20 and now I bring my sister in for free all the time! Thanks for the staff, I love it there especially the hydro bed lol :)

When we signed up we specially asked if my wife child bring my daughter who is 12. We explained she would not be working out that she would be waiting in the lobby while my wife worked out as we do not leave her at home by herself. The guy that signed us up told us that was fine as long a she stayed in the lobby and did not go into the equipment area. My wife went 3 to 5 times a week for over 2 months with no problems, our daughter waited in the lobby as we were told would be OK. We went in today and there was a guy told us she could not be in the gym period it was in there insurance that she wasnt allowed to be in the facility. We both said that the guy who signed us up told us she could wait in the lobby. His explanation was the guy that signed us up was new and he didnt know. We told him we had been coming in for 2 months and no one had said anything about it. He says Im sorry we dont allow it. We said then we want to cancel we were told 58 dollars per membership to cancel. Finally after arguing with the guy he calls his manager who is not there, he allowed cancellation. He even looked at how many times she had been in over the last 2 months and said the other people did know. Kinda funny how every other employees did not know. Guy was just being a jerk to put it nicely. This place is a joke. Staff knows nothing is about as helpful as a rain suit in the desert.

Finally, a clean gym with respectful and genuine people. Exercise machines, locker room, and classes meet/exceed my expectations. So glad I joined...And only $10 per month! 🎉 😃🎉😃

Ive been a member here for about 3 months. I got the black card so that if my 15 year old daughter wanted to go with my wife and I she could. We have brought her before without any problems. Today when I came in they told me that she was not allowed to enter because she did not have a valid ID. Theyve never asked for this before when she has come, but they refused entry for me and her because of it today. In the past their only concern was that I was her parent/guardian. This place seems to make up rules as they go and enforces them randomly (an older daughter of mine had an issue as well). So be prepared for that if you join.
