My experience with Mr. Handyman was exceptional and a classic example of you get what you pay for. I previously had a chandelier installed and it was already tilting as if it would fall. I needed a ceiling medallion placed and the chandelier set correctly. I was not interested in having the original contractor return. From the moment I called Mr. Handyman I knew I made the right choice. They explained what may be the issue, their pricing, and soonest availability. They also had no issue with coming to Orange City, even though it is not listed as part of the service area. Within two days my chandelier was set in the ceiling medallion. George was professional and thorough, ensuring lighting was working and explaining what the original issue was. I would say if you want it done right the first time then dont hesitate. The quality of work and service validates the pricing, one and done.

We had a project with a short time frame that involved some drywall demo, some construction, some electrical work and some drywall repair. George showed up on time for the original estimate and indicated they could do the work that day. George is an absolute master at all of the skills required to complete my project and I would guess that would be true about all the services Mr. Handyman offers. Highly recommend them.

Mr Handyman was fantastic. They called first to tell me the service rep was on his way. Gavin arrived fully prepared to fix me problem. He had to repair dry wall, cut and install base board, paint the repaired wall then reinstall my washer and dryer. I can’t say enough good things. My neighbor also looked at Mr Handyman for his future repairs.

Excellent! New to area and very disappointed with the unreliable handyman I was using. Figured I would give Mr. Handyman a try and couldn’t be happier! I had a list of chores including hanging a heavy mirror, putting together some furniture, some grill work and odds and ends around the house. Everything was done perfectly and quickly! George is a real find, and Chad is a pleasure to deal with over the phone. I plan on keeping my list and calling Mr. Handyman every few months. They are a godsend!

I have used Mr. Handyman twice so far. Once for some simple light fixture installations, and today just finished a remodel on a small half bath. George is awesome - professional, knows his stuff, and works his tail off. The bathroom was taken down to bare walls and underfloor, then tiled, painted, trimmed, and all fixtures, lights, and accessories installed in just over 2 days. Chad on the office has always been extremely helpful and courteous. I will definitely be using them again for some other projects.

3 weeks ago I made an appointment to have 2 bathrooms remodeled and some kitchen work. Then they don’t show up and tell me I’m all the sudden not in their system. And then they wanna tell me they don’t do any bath tub replacements but it’s CLEARLY on their website that they can.Moral of the story, I would not recommend these people for your projects. Find someone else more reliable

George had done some drywall work for me in the past. I still can’t see where he repaired it was such a perfect repair. He was challenged a bit more this time but got all the work done in one day. His work exceeded my expectations.

I have nothing but great things to say about Chad on the inside and George in the field. I had a toilet leak that required multiple visits and they stayed after it till the problem was solved with two follow up visits. Whiel on the job they did whatever else I needed done while there. The initial cost for the call appeared to be high but with the amount of time that was required in the long run it was a bargain.. The key is call them when you have multiple items to do and it truly is a bargain then. They come prepared, they almost have everything needed on the truck, they clean after themselves and discard all the job related trash. The communication is great and they were on time after confirming they were on their way. Great find for me as I just moved to the Lake Mary Area

The entire process couldnt have run smoother. From the scheduling to the tech (Johnny) doing the installation. We replaced all the fire detectors & he did a great job concidering some of them were very difficult to reach I couldnt be happier & highly recommend these folks. If you need some help with something, give them a call.

Eddie G. is awesome! He answered my inquiry promptly and was able to install 2 ceiling fans for me the same day. One of the fans was missing mounting bolts but he was prepared and was still able to install the fan. Eddie is a true professional and I would highly recommend him for any work that needs to be done in your home.

Avoid these people way way way overpriced compared to other professionals. They didnt even come out to give an estimated guess only wanted to charge me by the hour at a insane prices. Who falls for that ? Not me. Something simple could cost you big time cash. Call around first !!!

I cannot speak on the service itself because I didnt get that far. However I can confirm that Chad is rude as hell. Instead of having a calm conversation, he immediately got oddly defensive and just riddled off the service fee and hourly rate, not explaining what that entailed or steps to fixing an issue. This disposition immediately lead me to want to end the conversation because I do not want anyone like that in my house. Work on your customer service issues and learn how to explain your services. Maybe you dont need to, because people get so desperate, or panic to need your services and you make good money so why be nice?

Having had such a poor experience with a laminate/remodeling business in Altamonte Springs that remodeled our tub, shower & shower window, it was a GREAT relief to deal with the complete professionalism of Mr. Handyman. Over the phone I was questioned in detail about the finishing services I was requiring, which I appreciated, and they called me on the day of appointment as they said they would, and the workman arrived exactly on time. If you think thats no big deal, let me just say that was the first time I had experienced that in the 3 months of trying to get satisfaction from the previous business I had used. I was given a detailed breakdown, an exact cost, and an exact time frame for the work, which they completed exactly. I was very happy with the quality & appearance of the work (which was: waterproofing and finishing out the trim on a newly installed bathroom window, finishing the trim at the base of the tub, & finishing the tears and rips to the ceiling and the walls the previous workers had done putting in the tub). Mr. Handyman made my week!!! I very much plan to use them again, and would recommend them as well.

Spoke with Chad, and asked to give an estimate on the work that needs to be done. He just provided me with a service fee, and an hourly rate, and couldnt give me any details, and was told that I need to measure the area and provide that information so they know whats needed. Most professionals set up appointments to inspect what needs to be done, and provide an estimate on time, money and materials, and not have the customer do all the work. So overall bad customer service

Very rude person answered the phone & only wanted to charge me $158 for first hour then $98 every hour after that without even seeing the job or knowing how long it would take, when asked for a estimate wanted to charge me $60, if i changed my mind i still owed the $60. totally insane !! having used other contractors before this is totally UNACCEPTABLE and the most Ridiculous waste of money, plenty of contractors who give free estimates who are not rude.
