Getting a package delivered with perishable items inside that has a signature requirement? Welp youre out of luck because this post office wont deliver items with signature requirements directly to residents anymore. Ive ordered several delicate plants on express shipping (because they cant handle the heat stress of long shipping processes and sitting in warehouses). My postal person just wont deliver them on time because she wont come to my door for the signature. The plants have been dying because instead of a 2 day shipping time, it takes at least 4, and typically more like 5-6. Meanwhile the plants sit in scortching hot, unairconditioned mail warehouses. Ive decided to stop ordering these things online because of this (sorry online vendors). The American postal system is horrible.

The supervisor here is extremely rude and not helpful. He is an older Asian man who works at the very left counter. I canceled my services specially due to him and will not be back. He has his own specific rules that are not published on the website or listed on the forms for a box I already paid for.

My son and i stopped by Postoffice in Lake Forest just received his citizenship / naturalization certificate.Before stopping by, we made sure we gathered all of the necessary documentation to apply for a US passport.We were told by a (I believe Vietnamese) lady, who rudely commented “this foreign passport doesn’t work” and denied/rejected us. We tried explaining that this is the only way of validating his identity since he doesn’t have an ID yet. The website says foreign passport is fine. And she was very unhelpful. She has no expert information. We drove from LA to this location because they were able to get us an appointment, but this was a waste of our time. Very disappointed at the way she handled customer service.

Zero star! I made a schedule pick up for my packages, and Ive waited all day! No one came to pick them up and the worst is I received an email that it was successfully completed by the employee at usps! Seriously??! This post office is the worse, they close before the time is scheduled (5:00); hard to get into the mailbox, and is dirty outside and inside.

Not for this post office which is one of the more pleasant ones around, but the mail delivery service they provide! Recently very problematic - numerous incorrect and non deliveries, packages and contents badly damaged, very poor customer service response.Update: found out why. My regular mailman was off for a few months. Hes back and the mail works again!Back up from 1 star to 4 stars.

Limited access to PO boxes; only access is during the day. No evening access because the doors are locked early everyday---due to criminal activity.

Overall, the best Post Office in South Orange County! Consistently excellent, professional, efficient and pleasant service.

I had a package to deliver with a pre printed label and used the drop off bin inside. 2 days later still no tracking and they haven’t even scanned it yet!!! They lost my package! Trying to call them and got a 45 minute wait time to talk to someone. Never trust those “drop bins” always get a receipt from the cashier. Now I have to refund my buyer and out my item - thanks Lake Forest Post Office!!!

Great post office with friendly and helpful staff. They helped me to find the right service and not overpay. I noticed they talk to people respectfully and always have a smile on their face.

Go somewhere else if you want a passport. Lady was rude. Someone cut in front of me and she told me to be quiet while she helped the person that cut. Why? Why is that a thing?

I happen to love this post office. I go here because its close to my work. It is usually not very busy, but even when it is they get you through the line pretty fast. The packaging material is less expensive than at the store. -1 star because they need more pens to fill out forms with. (Make sure to bring a pen with you otherwise!)

I checked the reviews before I went there. However, it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Two ladies helped me and they were really nice and informative. They suggested a less expensive one and tracking available service to me (would take a longer time to deliver, though), which is absolutely better than the one I firstly picked myself.

Self serve kiosk was down, but they were able to serve me at the counter quickly. Great service

I have gone to this post office for years and have always had a good experience. The postal workers are all very kind and friendly - ESPECIALLY when you consider the repetitive jobs they have! Most of us could not do what they do and keep our composure and patience like they do. Thank you for the great job you do!

Awful location, particularly their delivery service. Ive had several experiences where an item needs to be delivered to our door for us to sign and the Postman just decides not today and instead writes down some excuse that we werent home or that he left a notice (which he does not). Then I am forced to spend excessive amounts of time on the phone with customer service rescheduling. More often then not, I have to reschedule a couple times for just one item, as our Postman just doesnt seem to want to do his job. Its quite frustrating and I wish there was more to be done than a lousy 1 star complaint. We just want our packages when theyre expected and not to have to repeatedly call or wait another week as a result of this Post Offices lazy Postmen!

To the mail carrier/driver on 10/17/19, what the f is wrong with you. You gave me the wrong parcel key to someone elses packages in a different apartment. Now im holding a key from that mailbox. And im getting tired from your service. Yall failed me so many times. From packages from korea/overseas and domestic. I will never be using your service for my mail packages again when i move soon. Disappointed that the outside drive up mail boxes are now gone. They took them out because I am assuming because of mail theft.

The passport clerk is very very rude. They dont have a copier machine so the person in line ahead of us reminded us to run to nearby Staples to get a photo copy of our drivers license. While my husband was already on his way, I asked the clerk if there were any other document that she needed a photocopy. She treated me as if I am interrupting her and refused to tell me. So I called my husband back. As a result, we had to run to Staple again just to get the drivers license photo copied. The India accent clerk was very condescending and impatient. We have applied for passport for a lot of times. This is by far the worst experience. BTW, nobody answers the phone in this place. I had to run to that office a day before just to check for the weekend hour for the passport service.

Horrible customer service. Always overfilling my PO Box and bending and ripping everything. They used to bundle mail and put it in a locker on the very rare case the mail was too much for the box. Not anymore. Just keep stuffing it in. Also drastically cut the PO Box access hours but didnt seem to see the need to cut the price for limited access. Closed all day Sunday now for PO Box mail pickup.Front counter is always extremely rude and unhelpful if I ever need to use it and English is a second language for literally everyone working there. Communication is close to impossible.

Apparently only Rude people themselves write reviews when they have nothing good to say about places and are always in a hurry. Good luck with the DMV.I on the other hand had a great experience. They were very nice and polite, taking their time with my issues sending a couple large packages to Germany. I had no idea how the process worked getting such large packages across the Big Lake, but the father and daughter team took their time to help me with the size and weight of the packages, since it makes a big difference price wise when mailing to Europe. Thank you again for your help and Im definitely coming back here.

I used the kiosk to buy stamps last week after the post office closed. A few hours later my credit card company called me detecting fraud. Only place I used my card so I know it was from using the kiosk. Grrrr

Had to mail a large package internationally for my brothers birthday. I took the box to FedEx first for an estimate and it was going to cost $260 and take about 3 weeks (cheapest option). Wayy too expensive. Took it to the post office today and it cost $106 and only takes 10 business days. So much better! The staff was very helpful and quick. I came around 2pm so it wouldnt be too busy.

This is the worse PO in the area. Im drop off prepaid packages there and every time they lose some or dont scan. Basically they ruin my business. The employees who work directly with customers, very nice, polite and helpful. But the management as clerks, supervisors are rude and mean.Avoid to go to this location...

Hands down a ONE star because at least they are open. The staff can be ‘ok’ on a good day when it’s quiet but soon as it gets busy or there is something not ‘routine’ about your visit then forget it.. the lines get ridiculously long sometimes. Worst of all DONT get there a minute before closing- they literally slide the door shut in front of your nose - doesn’t matter who is on the door that day- it’s the same.even if you beg to be allowed in, they will not even do you the courtesy of speaking through a crack by opening the door a bit.. it’s hand signals and talking at you through the glass... if this were any other business they would be out of business...

DELIVERED - WHERE IS IT? I HAD RECEIVED NOTIFICATION VIA EMAIL THAT A PRODUCT I PURCHASED WAS DELIVERED AND/OR LEFT ON MY FRONT DOOR. B.S. NOTHING WAS LEFT! THIS WAS at 12:20 PM when I got the message. At 1:15, the mail man was delivering the mail - thats when he showed up. I asked him about the package and he said he did not have it. Didnt even give a damn and continued to talk on his phone! WHAT KIND OF MORONS does the post office hire? NOW I AM OUT A PRODUCT AND ITS COST! THE SELLER SAYS SORRY, WAS DELIVERED! They do not attempt to deliver to your door on a Sunday for Amazon deliveries if you live in an apartment. They will say they attempted the delivery and just slip a paper in your mailbox. This has happened many times to us now and left us stranded for items that were needed. Worthless for Amazon to use USPS for Sunday deliveries because they are too lazy to deliver items if they have to walk more than a foot away from their truck. If I could give zero stars at this point I would. Now because of the holiday weekend we are without our item until Tuesday.

There was a line and only two people working, it was a 20 minute wait and the mexican guy over working there barely speaked the language, the only good thing is its not a small post office.

The post master Judy. Who got promoted?? Was a bad postmaster to the people. You have a problem, the main post office said go speak to the post master at the local post office. Good luck, she would never come, she would tell others to pretend to be the postmaster, even if she was standing behind them. The employees hate her.Now for the last issue I had at the post office. I had shipped 3 packaged express mail guaranteed delivery next day by a certain time. Not delivered till the day after. So, the post office is to give refund due to Guaranteed.1)the employee laughed and thought it was funny the package took a day longer than promised.2) the employee did not want to give refund . I called over that minutes post master who was supposed to be the employees boss. He told her to give me a refund.3) she then argued with her boss to NOT give me a refund.I was not scamming anything, I was getting a refund on service not provided as promised and was even guaranteed deliver in a certain time.Th manager Judy failed to train the employees properly.

About half the packages were lost at this post office even when someone at the front desk signed for them. Even when you show them the form that states the name of the person who signed for the item, they know they received it, but just say sorry - cant find it in the back. Fortunately, Amazon is a GREAT company to work with and they replaced my items free of charge even though it was delivered at the post office. I no longer get packages here because of the hassle and unreliability. Not all my mail was received either or was not placed in the box in a timely fashion. I also got many, many letters addressed to others in my box. As soon as I can get things changed around, I will be closing this. I have used a PO Box for YEARS and I have NEVER experienced this unacceptable level of service before.

We have had nothing but rude behavior from our mail delivery truck person. #1 she stopped got out of her truck, walked halfway up our walkway and literally threw our package and hit our front door with it....luckily it was a non breakable item. #2 watched her in our security camera today hit the back of our truck and just drive away!! Unbelievable

They are horrible people that allow customers to wait in lines without checking to make sure they have everything they need to make a transaction. Over an hour wait to be told that I wasnt going to be helped. NEVER GO THERE!!!!

Terrible experience. Made me get out of line to fill out a form. I filled it out, got back in line and they told me I filled it out incorrectly and got out line again to fill it out. Got got back in line and once I got there someone else told me I had to fill out another form. Kept going back and forth and each one told me to do a different thing. It was very frustrating. Not helpful at all. About this post office if possible.

Horrible. My packages are consistently late and talking to a real person is generally a challenge and a really long wait. No urgency to solve their own problems. This is a disaster of a organization.

The scale on the self service machine is out of order. The self service machine doesn’t have the price for postcard stamps.

Most of them are not polit they don’t give you correct information especially when your pakage that you sent received with damage and you want to know what should you do. Manager is very young and does not have enough experience for this position

Not sure what is the problem of this post office, but I just cant believe they held back my packages in the office for days after they have confirmed to redeliver it to my house. The worst part is the lady in the office is rude and has a very unprofessional attitude by giving the I Dont Know to all the questions. This is a small post office and it can get busy but they are pretty fast getting through any line.

Spoke with a very dishonest Asian (i think vietnamese) lady when applying for a passport for my newborn! She said that we could not do it yet because my baby did not have a ssn since she is just 2 weeks old. She told us to go to the social security office first. I argued with her that we could just fill out 0s in the ssn portion, but she said they dont do that anymore. We think she was just excited to take her lunch soon cause we went there at 11:30!Luckily, i did some research beforehand, and i knew we could definitely get a passport for her already. I also called several other passport acceptance offices, and they said there shouldnt be a problem with getting a passport for our baby.We applied for a passport at the lake forest city hall in comercentre drive. It was so much easier, and the staff there was so friendly.

We are new to this area and found this location which has VERY confusing signs how to get into the parking lot. we came from El Toro and saw the sign One Way directing us PAST that drive way, making us go around the corner to find another One Way or DO NOT ENTER sign there. ???? the painted signs direct you the right way but the signs on the post are wrong. we ended up using the exit as the entrance which made the locals mad, but what were we supposed to do. CHANGE ALL THE SIGNS ASAP at the street and remove the sign inside that entrance that makes no sense either. I wish I could send you pictures. On a positive note, the clerks are very efficient and friendly and since we know now how to get into the parking lot we will be back

My mail carrier forged my signature and scanned package delivered. Never got it. I went online and saw someone forged my name. Went to post office, manager said my post man forgot to deliver my 2 day priority package, and panicked and signed my name. Umm forgery! Not happy!

They used to answer their phones years ago, but when I tried recently they did pick up but remained silent. After about two or three tries at communicating, they just ignored the call and let it ring indefinitely.

Add me to the list of 1 stars with this post office. SLOW and leaves mail to businesses when businesses are closed on a Sunday! For ANYONE to then have their package, that includes their private information, to become stolen... which actually happened. Danny, the PostMaster of all people in the Lake Forest station, had no regrets and defended the carrier for leaving a package... by the way, the business Im referring to is a UPS store and I lease a PO Box... been there for years. What ashame that this post office has ZERO ethics, ZERO interest in making the wrong right and ZERO compassion for a probable case of identity theft.

My mail delivery is very erratic, our regular delivery person is great, but substitutes almost always fail, i rarely have aproblem but its a good one, I have a parcel supposedly delivered on the 10th, its now the 12th and is still not here. Sell out to Fed Ex If you cant handle it.

Terribly rude i called about 5 times and they finally answered after i let it ring for 3 minutes.i was asking for assistance with a package that got taken to their office and long story short the woman ended up hanging up on me and told me if i really want my package today i can come and wait untill its gets dropped off there but if its even a minute after 5 they will not give it to me. i asked how i was suppost to know what time they were going to drop it off she said i have to deal with it. i give them 0 stars .

Whenever I need to ship a package or have a question, everyone who works there is super nice and informative. I wish I had nothing bad to say about this post office but..because of my experience when I needed a passport, my opinion changed. The lady doing the passports practically sent me on a goose chase with everything I needed. She wouldnt tell me all that I needed at once even when I would ask her directly EVERYTHING i needed. She would just say, bring (this paper) with you and cut me off. About my third time there she would finally take my picture! BUT ofc theres a but... She told me to take my glasses off??? Now after my internet was fixed I looked this up before I went to the post office... If your eyeglasses are prescription, you DONT take them off for your photo. I even told her that but she told me to take them off anyway! I couldnt believe it! Now i have to take them off every time i show my passport at the airport! It was ridiculous and I never want to go through that again!

!!!!! RUN-AWAY IF YOU NEEDED PASSPORT !!!!!! This passport acceptance facillity should be shut-down. The passport agent does not know exactly what is required. I spoke with passport processing agency and came prepared with all documents. The postoffice agent told me I lack some document. I was turned away. Next day I went to another postoffice and everything got done without any need for additional documentation. Agent does not understand that current passport can be used as proof as citizenship and also a photo identification. Absolutely stupid....

Hosh and the rest of the staff was absolutely great. We came to them with 150+ packages and they took care of it right away. The other USPS in Laguna Hills told us since it was so many and we had a credit card we had to do the self service machine........??? Hosh and the rest of the staff didnt bat an eye. They Gave us a cart we loaded it up and brought it to the front. Will be taking all of the business from my office to this USPS for now on

I was waiting for someone to help with passport service. Waited for about 10 min, since I saw they were busy (mind you I was in a separate room) finally a lady walks in leaves her sweater and walks back out. Didnt even acknowledge that I was there.

Lost my 20X20X14 package! how is this possible?!!!

They have lost several of my packages said it for delivered no where to be found. Even packages that require signature someone else or them sign for it and never to be seen. Not reliable receiving mail or packages.

Sometimes our packages arent scanned right away, but generally we get good service from this post office.
