Called 1st choice to fix our upstairs AC unit. It wasn’t cool at all Steven came out, it worked fine when he got here, of course. The next day, AC wasn’t working, again. I called 1st Choice and Steven was sent back out. He did a couple of minor things with the compressor and the filters. All good and working again! I called them Monday morning and was able to schedule an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. Received confirmation text for the appointment right away. 1st Choice came out to do a basic maintenance on my HVAC. It turns out my system was in bad shape. Not the news I wanted, but presented well and demonstrated clearly for the layman. Best of all, it didn’t come with a sales pitch. The technician could estimate costs, but he wasn’t going to sell me anything. If he wanted to lie, it doesn’t do any good if he’s not trying to hard sell me the solution.Also, since my broken system didn’t actually get maintenance done, the cost was reduced to just an inspection fee. All in all a very fair company in a shady world. I haven’t decided who to hire to fix/replace my system, but 1st Choice will be on the short list.

1st Choice was an excellent choice!! They sent someone out quickly and determined that I needed some new duct work due to remodeling I had done and the old duct work was cracked. It was scheduled within a few days and now my home heats up beautifully! Everyone, from phone conversations to techs who came to my house, were professional, efficient and courteous and the techs used COVID precautions. Their proposal was reasonable and I will see them in spring/summer for air conditioning tune-up.

They were honest throughout the process about pricing and I could tell from the get-go that they were looking out for my best interests because I had another quote from another AC company for 5,000 saying I needed to replace my ducting. These guys came and said that all they needed to do was some repairs even though I started off saying that I think we need new ducting. They fixed everything and it works great now and they only charged 600 for the job. Very happy and would highly recommend.

10 year plus ac unit blowing air not cooling. Google search said mostly caused by electrical issue or loss of freon . Those same posts ads inevitably steered towards entire ac replacements with higher SEER #s and therefore more efficient units but thousands of dollars to replace our very workable and enduring AC.Ist choice came promplty - in fact, earlier than scheduled (after they called for permission.) They didnt try any high pressure or scare tactics that other HVAC companies do. They ran diagnosis found the problem which they explained and then replaced a capacitor at a very fair price (less than a nice dinner out at a decent steakhouse).The service pro wore a mask (though it wasnt necessary or requested). When he came into the house, he put foot covers over his shoes.Professional trucks & equipment and answered all questions in understanding way.I have used this company three or four times over a decade and recommend without reservation for fair prices, their honesty and of course excellent service.

My existing heating and AC was over 30 years old, and was on its last legs, so i called Ist Choice based on their outstanding reviews, and my experience could not have been better. From the initial quote to 2 day installation, communication was great and the end product even better! There was a disparity with the original system in both heating and cooling between the upstairs and downstairs, and with my new system I have SO much less. Another company told me the only solution to the problem was to install two different “zone” systems, at a much greater expense. Chris and his team solved the problem by redesigning and replacing the existing ductwork, and installing a new heater and AC unit better suited to the square footage. The project took two days but I was surprised that when they left the first night you would never have known they had been here. Mike and Dylan could not have been nicer! Five stars all the way... so glad I used Ist Choice!

We had a complete Lennox HVAC system installed last spring. The work was completed quickly. The installers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed when they had even painted the inside of the utility closet. The summer ended up being very warm and the air conditioner worked extremely well and efficiently. When winter hit, it turned really cold some days. The furnace worked very well, also. In fact, my office gets so warm, I have to turn the heat down ( the thermostat is set at 68 degrees). Our old furnace never heated up like the new one. We did have a problem with a loud squeaky noise, however, when the furnace turned on. 1st Air came out yesterday and replaced a part. Now, there is no squeaking sound. I highly recommend 1st Air & Heating.

Excellent company. I had them put in my New Lenox A/C and Heating Systems and couldnt be happier. I was first going to go with Costco, dueto the 10% cash card. But the install company thats representing Costco was giving out their list prices. They gave me a price of 8k just forLenox Heating Unit. I said what, do you think we live in Alaska. Anyway, 1st Choice price was about the same, BUT, that was for both the Lenox A/C and Heating unit. So it was a not brainer to go with 1st Choice. Again, very happy.

Chris is just phenomenal! Unfortunately, he was busy having a baby after I got a quote from him, and I went with another vendor via Costco to get a discount. But, there were numerous issues with their work - I complained about the bigger ones, but in the end fixed most of them myself, and they fixed only a couple minor ones. I got finally got fed up, and called Chris regarding one final fix that the other company wanted to charge me a lot for... Chris inspected their work and immediately identified all of the issues Id noticed, including ones that I let slide with the other company (trying to focus on the big ones), plus some that I hadnt noticed. I now very much regret not using 1st Choice. Chris was very generous with his time just reviewing the mess I got myself into, and provided invaluable information to allow me to figure out how to best wrap things up and whether or not further changes would help much. Unfortunately, its no longer practical to fix the various minor things the other company did poorly, so I have to live with them now despite spending a huge amount on an all-new high-end dual-zone system that involved moving everything from the garage to the attic. Im posting this so others can learn from my mistake and use 1st Choice!

Im gonna be honest here, I am a grown man with some experience in self defense (took a few courses at the YMCA nbd) but I still dont like going into my attic. Its dark, there are creepy crawlies, and the furnace makes menacing noises. Its definitely haunted. So when the furnace stopped heating my bedroom, and the cold bitter So Cal winter came around, plummeting the nightly temperature to a frigid 60 degrees, I had a dire emergency on my hands. The guys from 1st Choice Heating & Air were prompt, knowledgeable, and best of all not afraid to go in the attic to diagnose and repair the problem with the deft swiftness of Hermes himself. Had a handyman install Nest thermostats for me, and he messed up the wiring. Called 1st Choice based on Yelp reviews in my area, they came out about 24 hours after my call, clean, timely (actually several hours early), and Steven fixed the thermostats quickly and was very friendly/personable.
