This place is HORRIBLE!! I came in with a check engine/ stabilitrack error. Louis, the owner, charged $80 for diagnostic and Charged me $500 plus dollars for alternator and labor. I kid you not this car broke down the next day in the middle of nowhere on 171 outside of Natchitoches. I had to get my car towed to Shreveport to Chevyland. It was my throttle body!! Spoke to Louis in person and he said they don’t do an actual diagnostic..on a computer…they just look at it and GUESS what the issue is!! I was out of $1000 plus dollars and had to leave my car in Shreveport for Chevyland to fix it properly!! I believe This place is incompetent and I reported it to the BBB!!! Go somewhere else!!

Yes. I was there. I brought my moms car there. We payed $400+ and you still couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. I had to get it towed to another shop where they found that the timing chain needed to be replaced.

Great customer service and friendly. They have your issues with your vehicle done in a timely manner. If they see anything else wrong with your vehicle they advise you on what to do. I have no complaints with this shop. I will be returning with any additional repairs needed to my vehicle and I highly recommend this shop to anyone. This will be my number one shop to come to.

I went in a few months ago because my car blew a head gasket and they had my car done the very next day. I was glad to have to car fixed!! I will be using them again today to hopefully figure out why my car is over heating. Hopefully the outcome will be the same. Very nice people!!!

Came in for Ujoint replacement. Finished work was satisfactory but mechanic/owner(?) Quoted me a price for brackets at 20 dollars a set (told me I needed 2 sets) then sent the office girl in to tell me the only ones they could find were 50 dollars and they could only find one set and that he could rig something up on the other one. Had to call a coworker to come get me and take me to find brackets (8 dollars for a set at a parts store where everything is overpriced). Came back and he proceeded to tell me I only needed one. After work was done he threw the keys on the counter, checked to see if I paid, told me my truck was done and had nothing else to do with me. No thank you or anything. As stated, work was sufficient... trying to take advantage and price gouge someone who didnt have a working vehicle at the time was just sad. Wont come back just based off the lack of professionalism.

My name is Wanda Ramirez, I have had wonderful service for many years at Ashfords Automotive. This business is the most honest, and accurate on their findings on all of our vehicles. My adult sons only use Ashfords Automotive because of his honesty. Once this establishment fixes your vehicle, it is done accurately. If I can put zero stars I would. I called around 4:50 to see if they can give me a price for my exhaust. They told me they would have to look at it and to bring it in so I showed up at 5 to let them look at it. He told me they arent looking at it and to bring it in tomorrow. Well I work from 6-4:30 every day! I cant afford to miss work and that will be the time I would show up tomorrow if i was going. He just had an attitude and did not want to do anything after 5. If you close at 5:30 you have at least 30 minutes to look at something and give me a price. Not turn away customers! That is sad, they wont be getting any of my business or the people I know! Unacceptable!!

Such friendly staff and owner! I’m not sure why they have such mixed reviews because our experience with them just from one encounter has been so great. We went to a lot of different places here in Lake Charles to get our 2000 Toyota Avalon worked on. Most of them tried to charge us $1,000 plus to fix the gear shaft or refused to even work on it due to its age. We were seriously about to give up hope but wanted to try one last place. Came to Ashford, thank goodness and he was willing to buy the part and do the work for a very reasonable and affordable price. We paid half that day and he’s ordered the part for us and will get it in as soon as it comes in. We are so grateful and looking forward to continuing our business with them.

Myself, husband and 3 teenage drivers had used them for years for oil changes and tire rotations but NEVER AGAIN! They cross threaded my lug-nuts and when I asked them to fix it, I was told they don’t warranty that. I even gave him a second chance, telling him he would lose our business. He just smiled and said “have a good day”. Allied will fix their mess up, I could’ve been getting my tires rotated for free at Allied but I was paying Ashford to do it and this was the thanks I got! And now Allied does oil changes too so GOODBYE Ashfords!

This is one of the best shops around. The staff is amazing, they know what theyre doing and make sure that you understand what is going on and what they are wanting to do/What needs to be done. I know upfront what the diagnostic charge will be and what all it will include. Ashfords is the only place i will ever bring my vehicle to

Never experienced a reputable business that won’t accept checks. Was quoted one price. Then after the work was done was told there would be an extra fee for the diagnostic test that was done to find the problem. Which ended up costing an extra $60.00

I called Ashford Automotive Monday morning and was told to bring it in Monday afternoon. After a 20 minute wait, I was told that they did not have time to see the car that day. I made arrangements to drop the car off Tuesday morning using their drop box. I placed the keys in the drop box and later at 10 am to make sure they received my keys. I was told by the receptionist that he was pretty sure that they were looking at my car and that a technician had probably not called me yet because they were ordering parts for my car.I called again at 1 and was told they could not find my keys, even though I had placed them in the drop box as requested. I was told they would look for them right away and take a look at my car. When I came by around 2, the receptionist could not find the technician anywhere. As she was calling him, I went and checked the drop box and my keys were still in it! I am very disappointed with the lack of service I received.

Well i have been here once before for a starter about a month ago and it was sent to them by another shop they got it fixed that day. Black 2008 g35. Had to bring it up again today for rough idol problems waiting on diagnostic. They were great last time around worked with my warranty company to get it fixed fast.

Brought my wifes car in to figure out whats wrong. $300 something later, we still dont know. We bring it back on an appointment after getting a part changed they told us to, and they have us sit there for 1-2 hours hitting our heads on the desk, only to be told they cant work on it today because their diagnostic machine isnt working.We try to leave, and still have the issue that the car wont start. We sit there asking for a jump, but their jump-boxes wouldnt work, which I told them they wouldnt. They refused to jump us with a car, because it would damage the other cars alternator. After an hour of trying to find someone to jump us, he finally comes out and squeezes the fuel line to get us started.The lead mechanic also doesnt seem to want to give detailed answers to your questions, always acting like hes in a hurry to do something else (and not what youre paying him $100s for).

Was not told of any charge to look at my vehicle. I told them when I called ahead that my vehicle would need to be recharged with 134 coolant, as my A/C was blowing warm air. I was told to bring it in, and that the cost to recharge it would be around $60. I was not told that there would be a $35 fee to look at the vehicle (he wheeled over a pressure gauge that was ~10 feet away and attached it to my car, while eating a sandwich).He told me I needed coolant. Obviously I needed coolant. I told him that. This was not new information. He then told me he could recharge it. I asked if the coolant they used would also repair minor leaks. I felt sort of dumb even asking, as you can buy a kit that does that for $25 at any auto parts store. It seemed obvious that the coolant would do that.He said that it would not, and that if I wanted that done, the repair would cost more like $260, meaning the original price he gave me was just one to get me through the door because obviously I dont want just coolant. That would be like asking the waitress to refill a glass with a hole in it.I told him I would just do the work myself, at which point he told me I would need to pay $35 dollars for having him look at it. Clearly, he thinks it costs $35 dollars to eat a sandwich at my car and plug a pressure gauge in.

I brought my BMW there and have having problems ever since,they fixed my car took two weeks and when I left I had even more problems,When I took it back letting them know that they must have messed up, they told me it was something else,and its my fault, I went through the BBB to come to a conclusion and got threatened wit a slandering lawsuit,even the young lady in there was rude when I asked for receipts for my parts to match serial numbers,never take ur car there, horrible service and that young lady and Mr Louis,the one who worked on my car was very rude, especially if u have a foreign car,Take lil drive up the street to Pricision Tune!!
