This was the best vacation ever! Truly a unique experience. We slept next to the ocean with the back doors open to the stars. We woke up to the waves crashing on the beach just steps away from us. We had everything we needed - shower, stove and fuel, refrigerator, cookware, snorkel gear, sun umbrella, beach towels and so much more. Even cell phone chargers and headlights to navigate the dark! The van will get you anywhere you want to go on the island - those off the beaten path spots a regular rental car cant reach. From the moment we were picked up at the airport Adam was available to answer any questions and steer us towards the best beaches and secluded camping spots, even grocery stores and restaurants. He was always spot on! And more importantly, Adam was truly invested in us having a good time and experiencing the beauty of Maui from a non-tourist perspective. Experiencing Maui from the campervan opened my eyes to new ways of traveling for the future. I cant recommend Maui Van Life enough. Our week was magical.

Rest assured, Cloud 9 had all the simple comforts of home we needed to make our Maui van life adventure that much more enjoyable. All the gear was easy to use and set up. Mosquito nets for the doors so we slept with a cool breeze every night. With all the kitchen supplies we were able to cook some delicious food in the more remote sides of Maui. The van itself is very reliable and got us around the entire island no problem. We look forward to our next trip here! Thanks Adam!

5 Stars! We loved the van and we feel like it made our whole vacation to be able to camp out in it for 6 days. It has a full kitchen setup with pots and pans and cookware and a 2 burner propane cook stove for whipping up quick meals. We utilized the campfire grill a lot too. Bed was comfortable and large enough for 2 adults. Easy to use mosquito netting kept us bug free while we slept with a nice cool breeze with back and side doors open. Adam sets these vans up great they really have everything you might need so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Would highly suggest them if you are looking for an adventure and you want to do Maui the right way!

A rental car and air bnb all in one! This van had absolutely everything we needed and more. My brother and I had the best time riding around the island in our van and camping on the beach with the doors open! Adam, one of the owners was a a huge help in getting us oriented with tips and tricks to have an amazing vacation... needless to say, we did! Cant wait to go back and get back in one of these awesome vans!

These guys are amazing. There is everything you need, and cleverly organised - this is clearly their passion and they do it well! I would highly recommend getting the fridge-freezer - kept things icy cold the whole week. The snorkel, mask, flippers are such a bonus because there are so many places to park up and snorkel off the beach. We were able to explore a LOT of the island, and the van handled the drive well. Topped off with our last night at the summit of Haleakala! 10/10 would definitely book again, and also has opened out eyes to a new way of seeing other parts of the world!

We absolutely LOVED the van life!! 4 days with Royal Blue allowed us to see and experience so much more of the island without having to pack up and reach a scheduled accommodation each day. There are public restrooms (at least stocked porta-potties) at every beach and all over the island, so toilets were never an issue. Everything else you need is in the van - just bring yourself, a bathing suit, and a camera!We cant recommend this way of exploring Maui enough! The snorkel gear and beach items worked great; we really enjoyed being able to pull up to any beach we wanted and jump in! Same with being able to cook up a meal or snack on the fly. Despite the effective window shades and comfortable bed, we managed to wake up for sunrise in a new area every morning - it was worth it every time :)In addition to the van itself being awesome, we appreciated Adams support throughout the journey answering our questions and providing recommendations. It is a great business that he and Emmanuelle have a clear passion for. Thanks again for making our vacation epic, we cant wait to come back!

Great team to rent from who provide local recommendations and excellent service

This was an amazing experience.Vanlife Maui is not the typical expensive, polished, commercialized Hawaiin experience. Our van had dents in it, the doors needed slammed, the bushings in the front end rattled. BUT... Royal Blue was fully equipped with literally everything needed to spend time away from the resorts loaded with people. We drove places that I would never have taken a brand new, expensive rental vehicle; through brush, steep rutted roads, driftwood and cobble stones.My favorite night was on the south side of the island on the road to Hana. We pulled down onto a small beach a few hours before dark and were able to get through some large cobble rocks and down the beach next to the only large tree where the locals had made a fire pit. The van came supplied with a fishing pole and I tried fishing for a while with waves pounding the rocks and spraying up on my legs. We cooked corn on the cob, chicken legs and asparagus/onions/peppers over the fire after dark. It rained hard for a short stint, which was all the more appealing considering we were inside a van and not getting wet. Then we took a shower in the vans small shower set up, and went to bed clean and... just so incredibly alive and happy. We never even put the privacy curtains up since there was nobody else on the beach. I laid in bed later that night hearing no car traffic noise, under a small fan blowing air on us, with nobody else around... just the beach crashing, the rumble of rocks moving with the water, the moon light...and smiled at the ceiling. It was truly magical.These vans are inconspicuous and dont bring attention to you as a non-local. We stayed our first two nights in a different set up with a tent on top the vehicle, and not only do you advertise that IM CAMPING HERE with the pop up tent, but the varying and sometimes high winds on the islands are not an issue at all when you are inside a big ford van! And, the other set up didnt come with all the STUFF.These vans come fully equipped! Seriously, everything from a small refrigerator, snorkel and fins, camp stove and fuel, utensils, paper towels, camp chairs, charcoal, beach towels, even small headlights for after dark. Next time we come, it will literally be shorts and sandals, and thats it!Its also worth mentioning that Adam has spent a lot of time personally camping in his vans and knows the best places to go. This is very useful, considering much of Maui is busy and finding (what I consider at least) a great place to camp can be challenging. He will show you on a map (also provided) and help you get the maximum experience out of your time on the island.I rarely write reviews, but this experience deserved every star and then some. Would highly recommend!

We have had the most amazing week on Maui in “Cloud 9”. Adam and Emmanuelle went above and beyond in making it happen for us. The van is so well set out, spacious and has everything you could possibly need. Having a hotel room on wheels meant we could take our time tiki-touring the island, rest when we want, eat when we want, stop and go see whatever we liked. Sunrises and sunsets, beach and harbour front, the crater, road to Hana and even the unpaved roads ... it’s convenient, and definitely allowed us to see much more than we otherwise could/ would have!!

We rented because of the price but recommend Vanlife Maui becaue of the experience.I never write reviews but after our experience with Vanlife Maui, I felt compelled. My son and I spent a week touring Maui in the Royal Blue. It was one of the best weeks of my life. Many thanks to Adam and Emmanuelle who were a pure delight to work with. From start to finish they made our trip so easy to navigate which allowed us to focus our attention on deepening our relationship and on exploring and enjoying the island.If you enjoy camping you will love all the thought that Adam and Emmanuelle have invested in making your trip smooth and meaningful. They thought of everything and outfitted the van with everything you would need or want. Royal Blue was outfitted with a propane stove, mosquito netting, cell phone chargers, drinking water, a full dish kit, a camping shower, ceiling lights, boogie boards, water shoes, extra batteries, a comfortable bed, table and chairs.... I could go on and on. Absolutely everything I packed to make our trip comfortable and convenient they provided and so many other things that I had not thought of.During our trip Adam and Emmanuelle were available to answer questions we had and give us helpful advice. Two times we texted them questions about where we should camp when our plans changed at the last minute. Ever time they came through with great advice. They also hit a home run with helping us map out our stay on the first day.Adam and Emmanuelle are so passionate and knowledgeable about camper vanning. Not only was their help solid but they are so, so pleasant to work with. They were not only interested helping us having a good time but they took a personal interest in us. They truly wanted us to experience the best week possible.Camper vanning is great way to see all the sights of Maui. In seven nights we camped at Camp Olowalu, Sugar Beach, Hosmer’s Grove, Kipahulu, Black Sands Beach, and near the Ahihi-Kinau Nature Reserve. The advantage of camper vanning is that your camp site travels with you whether you are driving across the island or moving 50 feet in order to get more shade for lunch. The van is also the perfect place to wait out a rain shower when they come. Camper vanning also allowed us to get where we needed to be with plenty of time to be the first one to our destination. We would roll into our new location in the late afternoon and get the lay of the land. Then we would launch the days adventure early the next morning. During our trip we had the Seven Sacred Pools, Black Sand Beach and the Ahihi-Kinau Nature Reserve to ourselves hours before anyone else showed up!While we traveled extensively, we never felt rushed or hurried because our campsite was already set up and we could linger a extra day if we wanted to.I almost forgot to mention how much money we saved. Initially, I priced out a hotel room, car and meals. Vanlife Maui was much more affordable. Initially, we rented because of the money but now can recommend Vanlife Maui for the total experience. In fact, my wife and I will be celebrating 25 of marriage in 3 years. We are really excited about partnering with Adam and Emmanuelle and in the future.They say a picture speaks a thousand words so I’ll let you see our experience. We stayed in the blue van for 4 nights in Feb and had really enjoyed it. Our only regret was not booking 1 more night. The van has everything you need, including all your usual camping gear. I would definitely recommend adding on the fridge because we spent the majority of our time in East Maui which is more rural and it was super convenient not having to worry about finding a place to stop for ice or more food. We will definitely rent again when we come back to Maui.

Cant say enough good things about Vanlife Maui! We are forever grateful for Adam and Emmanuelle and Whitey Ford. Our trip to Maui was definitely one we will never forget. The van was fully stocked with everything we could need and more for our 4 day journey around the island. The fridge was a huge help in storing food and the bed was super comfy too. THE BEST way to see the island ! We spent 4 nights touring the coast and drove the whole island - the van gives you the freedom to explore every nook and cranny and you can pick up and go or anchor down for the night at anytime.The van came equipped with literally everything all we had were our clothes. We made the drive to Hana easily and comfortably - enjoyed sunrise and sunsets at countless beaches on all parts of the island.I highly recommend this for adventurous travelers who want to have control and adventure where and when they like. We had a cooler full of food and away we went.One of the most memorable vacation experiences my wife and I have ever had.

Emmanuelle and Adam helped make our honeymoon to Maui absolutely perfect. They were so friendly and helpful from the get-go, and the van was prepped with literally everything that you could think of needing for a 5 night stay. We loved using the snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrella especially and having a working fridge and stove and a comfortable bed made it ultra convenient and cozy. We would definitely book with them again and would recommend them to our closest family and friends!

What an amazing trip! We got to see Maui in the most unconventional way, in a camper van! We traveled the road to Hāna at our own pace with our hotel room on wheels. The van is decked out with everything you could need for enjoying all the activities on Maui. We had the Cloud 9 van and it was brilliant. It was mechanically sound and had no issues and we took it everywhere, because it was our rental car too. VanLife Maui was so helpful through the booking and rental process I could not recommend them more. Get ready for adventure!

We had the cloud 9 for 7 days and it was an amazing experience. We got to go around Maui in the way that we wanted and was driving in all kind of conditions without issues. From the sandy beaches to the Haleakala summit, the Cloud 9 got us there without issues and took our home for 7 days with us. I highly recommend Vanlife Maui if you are thinking of having a campervan for your trip on Maui.

Honestly big ‘Royal Blue’ van exceeded all expectations. We grew very attached to the van as it supported us on all our Maui adventures for a week. Van was stocked with all the gear you need to enjoy Maui to the fullest. Snorkel gear, bogey boards, stove, chairs, cups, sink, ice chest, portable shower, jugs of fresh water and other goodies all included for your stay. My girlfriend and I traveled all across Maui in the van and it even took the road to Hanna and road up to the crater with no problems. Parking is easy and free across pretty much all of Maui. Slept with a custom view of the ocean and sound of the waves every night. The host was always a text away in case of any issues, questions, or recommendations. Excellent adventures await if you travel with Vanlife Maui :)

This van made for the best stay in Maui! My girlfriend and I toured the island in 6 days. We camped out on the beach, cooked and prepared our own meals, went snorkeling, hiked, swam in fresh water pools... we did it all! All thanks to this perfectly equipped van, made to give you the best experience you could have on your stay in Maui. Emmanuel was incredibly sweet and went out of her way to get the van to us at a late hour. Emmanuelle is a very great and kind person and is putting so much work and heart in the royal blue. We had an amazing adventure and we loved it! Everything we needed was provided, we just had to buy the food we wanted to cook. We would always do it again. To find a spot to sleep was no problem at all and we saw as much from Maui as possible, probably more and totally different than the usual tourists!

I feel lucky to have found this beautiful camper van for my last minute trip to Maui. I went snorkeling everyday, even on Lanai. Emmanuel and Adam made renting easy and had great communication throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Royal Blue if you enjoy camping and glamping. I already want to visit again.At 55 the bed felt short as was expected from pictures previously viewed. Possibly find a tent to bring along. Overall I found the space roomy for a solo traveler. Its nice to absorb the energy overnight where you choose. The van was surprisingly easy to handle on the road and fit in a regular parking space with no issues.

Emmanuelle offers a great service here for those who want adventure and mobility during their trip to Maui. I love how off grid and outfitted this van is. It even has a mini fridge and cooking set up. It was perfect for our 4 day tour to some of the islands best spots.

Id never stayed in a van before, so I had no idea what to expect, but I was so impressed with how well outfitted the van was- there was everything we needed to snorkel, cook, bathe and more. We parked right on the beach and slept with the doors open bathed in moonlight looking out at the lapping ocean. The biggest staple of our adventure was exploring Maui thanks to @vanlifemauihawaii. We travel the states on the road so why not explore the island the same way?! We downsized from what we’re used to and it worked perfectly for our grand adventure. The bed was cozy and we were able to have ocean views every day at no extra cost. We wouldn’t have vacationed in Maui any other way. The van provided solar power which allowed us to use a mini fridge and fan. We drove the scenic road to Hana and relied on groceries most of our trip. There were battery powered lights and mosquito nets we stuck to the door frames with magnets at night. To clean up we had a sink and shower bag that hooked onto the outside of the van. The table on top of the storage drawers helped for food prepping and there was enough room to store our belongings and move around. Black out curtains were provided for privacy as well as propane enabled stove top burners and kitchenware to cook meals. One of the most important features to us were the snorkel gear, water shoes, beach chairs, water boards and umbrella that helped assist us on our long beach days. Not only was this the best way to see all of the island under no time constraints but it was the most affordable option! We had our stay and vehicle covered under one price. Also all of the beach equipment would have had to have been rented or bought anywhere else. Our host was incredible. He was there if we needed any help and gave us plenty of recommendations. He even had a journal in the van everyone who rented it could share their experiences and most recommended things to do in. We gladly contributed our story for those who will come to share this experience after us. Our time spent there was one of a kind.

We had the best trip anyone could have ever asked for thanks to Whitey Ford.He was equipped with more than you could ever imagine! A full sink, towels, utensils, a camp stove, chairs, table and even more. The van truly exceeded all expectations. We took it all around the island, through the entire road to Hāna and out, the Lavender Fields and straight to the Haleakalā Crater National Park and Whitey made the entire trip with a breeze. The bed was comfy and there was so much room in the van it truly felt like a home. Adam and Emmanuelle were wholehearted and honestly some of the kindness and most genuine souls I’ve ever come across in my entire life. I will forever be grateful for all the memories that Whitey Ford has left us with. Whitey Ford was made to explore Maui, I believe there’s truly no better way to experience the island. Aloha! Vanlife Maui was super easy to book with! Met us at the airport with our Cloud 9 all ready to go! We spent the week covering the island! Pulling off to take dips in local waterfalls on the Road to Hana, stayed at the National Park to catch the Sunrise at Haleakala and so many beaches...there wasnt anyplace we couldnt go! Cloud 9 had a comfy queen size bed, all the camping essentials and we upgraded to get the dometic cooler! (No need for ice stops!) We would definitely book with them again! Mahalo!

Amazing van! Completely kitted out with everything you need for a fantastic camping experience on the island! We slept at 10,000 feet and saw the sunrise from on top of the volcano from the comfort of our cozy bed (bring some warm layers from home for this!). And every other night we slept with the doors wide open no more than 10 feet from the lapping waves! A perfect 5 days and 4 nights in big Blue!

Vanlife is awsome, we were able to go all around the island of Maui absolutely amazing Hana was amazing we were able to stay 5 nights in Hana living the Hana life with royal blue, Royal blue comes with everything you need to make your day more comfortable, if you decide to take on this adventure that you won’t regret read the book that’s in the van, follow it mile by mile and you will have one of the best Adventure of your life . 🚐👍🏼

This was our first time to Maui. We could not have found a better host or better accommodations for our trip. Emmanuelle has this van perfectly equipped for days on the beach. We hit Costco when we first arrived and were set up - we ate one breakfast and one dinner out in the 5 days we had the van - the rest of our meals we cooked on the beach. The bed was comfortable for two full-sized adults. The blackout curtains made the space very private. We spent between 4-5 hours snorkeling each day - countless species of fish and lots of turtles. Will recommend to all of our friends and will be back ourselves. Thanks Emmanuelle!

We spent a full week in the Whitey Ford Campervan. It was the best days of our trip to the island of Maui because we had the freedom to move when we wish and sleep in places with incredible views for sunrise and sunset. I thank Adam and Emmanuelle for the rental of the van, it have everything in it to have fun on the beach, to eat easily and to sleep well. We took delivery at the airport and this was really helpful. If we go back to Maui we will still rent a Van with VanLifeMaui because of the excellent service.

Honestly we couldn’t have figured a better way to get around the island of Maui. You don’t need anything else. Emmanuelle has got it aaaaaalll figured it out. The van is fully equipped and the plus I found that was reaallly practical was the notebook where the previous travellers shared their stories. Another bonus is that Emmanuelle knows her way around Maui and tells you the best spot to go. She is also very available and any question we had she responded quickly. We camped on so many amazing spots. The Royal Blue Van has surely made our stay 10000 times better. Thanks a lot for lending us the Royal Blue I fell in love with the Vanlife.

What a crazy experience! A dream come true 😍😯 There was no better way to discover maui than to do it with cloud 9 ! And what a welcome at the airport, emanuelle and adam were adorable and very warm :) they took all the time necessary to answer our questions and present us our house for the next 5 days! All their positive energy and aloha spirit have confirmed that it was the best choice to discover Maui, real passionate people a pure treat! What about this gem that has supported us and conveyed in all the corners of this beautiful island: O From the hana road, halekana through the north of the island, cloud 9 has kept all these promises. The van is perfectly arranged, everything is thought to not miss anything and be in total autonomy. Do not be afraid of running out of space, two with two big suitcases and bags, the cloud 9 never gave us the impression of being oppressed ! The solar panel options and the cooler were a real luxury ! In addition, Maui is perfect for this kind of adventure. Stayed in Royal Blue for six nights! Had a great time. Awesome campervan! Fully equipped, nothing is missing! Emmanuelle and Adam are great people, who were helping us and made our stay super convenient. They both lived in a campervan in Maui and therefore know what is important to have while camping!
