Im new to the area and had three different (not good) experiences before I found VS Nails in Lafayette. Tina was patient and thorough with my nails, which were in bad shape from another salon. She cleaned them up, did an awesome dip powder service, and added this sweet detail. I am SO GLAD I found VS Nails and Tina, and cant wait to go back soon! I also want to share that this salon is spacious, very clean, had super comfy pedicure chairs. And if you have little ones looking for fun-day pedicures, check out the butterfly chairs! Precious!! This business is a gem!

STAY AWAY from this salon if you are getting a gel manicure. I went for a gel manicure and asked for french tips, which I got immediately charged an extra $15 for above the base gel manicure charge. Additionally, my nails didnt even last a week. They started chipping so badly from the top within 4 days that it looked like I had just gotten a regular manicure. The salon itself and the workers are very nice but the quality was not even nearly worth the $50+ I payed for it.

I asked how much it will cost to get fill ins and he told me $25 for the same color when I came in as you can see I dont think this is how it supposed to look like.. charge me $45!! For fill in..😑 I didnt even get the finger massage..

I went here as a walk-in appointment and told that the wait would be short. I waited for over an hour for a pedicure before told to sit on the chair. The women next to me said that they had an appointment over an hour and half ago and they were still waiting for a pedicure. I left shortly after. Do not recommend

I’ve had my fair share of nail salons and different techs but Vincent has to be my favorite nail tech I’ve had so far. He takes his time on his work and stops throughout to make sure you like the work he does. My nails look wonderful yet again.

If I could give a no stars I would. We made 4 appointments weeks in advance and weren’t seen until a hour after! They rushed through the whole pedicure then waited more timeFor full set. They told the bride they didn’t have rhinestone yet added them to two of the other bridesmaid. The employee told us we had to wait Bc she was hungry and wanted to eat even though she was in the middle of doing my nails.

Received a Fill-in/Pedi. Glad to see this nail salon taking extreme preventatives to ensure a healthier environment for their clientele.Edit: My nail technician did a great job; however, nail techs at this shop are leery on doing certain designs which is unfortunate because customers like myself expect a bit of customization when paying for a nail service. I was labeled as being complicated for simply asking to see how a color would look on my nail which clearly spurs from laziness..... Im only giving a 4 star review because I am satisfied with my end results. Con: Customer service is not so great here.

It is hit or miss, but mostly good here in my opinion, some techs are very meticulous and skilled with the shaping and quality, but a few do seem rushed and not as skilled or caring. Overall, if you get a good technician I feel their polish lasts much longer than other places. They are always very streamlined/work very efficiently which saves me time & is appreciated. Ive had a few people tell me they feel they are the best locally in the past as well.

I don’t typically post reviews but I am hoping my concern will be heard. I’ve really enjoyed getting my nails done here but my biggest concern is their communication. When I go in, I typically ask for one of two specific nail techs. However, in both instances there has been a major problem.The first time I requested a certain tech and another tech kept coming up to me trying to get me to sit down at their chair. I felt pressured and as if I was being rude. But I had requested a certain person so if there was proper communication this would have not been an issue.The next time I called ahead and asked for a specific person to hopefully avoid any issues. I asked if either of the two where in and was told one of them was and I booked my appointment with them. Upon arrival I checked in and was asked if I had an appointment. I said yes and stated who with. Literally within 5 seconds of stating THE NAME of the person I was there to have my nails done by another woman tells me to come sit at another chair. I was rather upset. I CALLED and SAID AT THE COUNTER who I wanted and was completely ignored!! I didn’t want to speak up because I feel like I’m being rude. I noticed that the lady I had made an appointment with was doing someone else’s nails but I would have gladly waited.My sister has also had the same experience with making an appointment. Except in her instance the person she requested completely refused to do her nails even though she had an appointment.I am posting this in hopes that the owner will see this and fix this issue or they very well may loose my families business. I really love going there but if I’m going to be completely ignored upon my request I won’t feel comfortable going anymore.

My pedicure was great! My nail technician for that service was very sweet. My dip nails were okay, the gentleman cut down my nails roughly and left them jagged under the tips, and I have some rough patches on my nails that are driving me a little crazy. Overall, a fine visit. The receptionist was very friendly over the phone.

Love VS Nails I didnt have an appointment today since I just got back from vacation but Kelly worked me in and did an awesome job on my nails. Sorry I cheated on you with Kelly Anne but needed em done! LOLOL ❤️💅

My nails are always done exactly the way i want! They last forever anr are very durable. Staff is always so friendly too. Hands down my favorite salon. 💗

Very welcoming and fast service. Very clean. Chemicals are well ventilated and not noticeable. Make everyone feel like a VIP great selection of colors and designs. Would recommend with confidence.

I went to VS Nails to get my nails done before a date at a nice restaurant a few months ago. My nails came out nothing like I expected, and my date looked so repulsed by them that he went to the bathroom partway through the meal and never came back. I was devastated. Also, I contracted a fungus underneath several of my fingernails shortly after visiting VS Nails, and lost the nails. I would have posted this review sooner, but I had to re-learn how to type with only 7 fingers remaining. Highly do not recommend!

Great customer service and workers but the manicure didnt last. My two daughters (8 and 11) lasted 4 days with gel and mine last 6. Disappointed!

I come here often however I feel over time the experience has just lost its value. Most recently, during the massages for the pedicure, one leg was rubbed briefly to apply the lotion and the other was rubbed in the same spot the spot became numb. They applied a layer or two of polish, no top coat.More importantly, I watched them quickly clean the foot thing (that looks like a cheese grater) using only a brush dipped in barbicide and water then wrapped it back up in a paper towel for the next person . As a licensed cosmetologist I know that is not how barbicide works. The grater needs to be stuck into the UV light to disinfect considering it’s used to literally shave skin off.I get these salons are about quantity in a day, but id pay more and tip better if it was clean & quality.

I was disappointed with the outcome. I got a dip set and there is uneven thickness of dip on my nail. I’m so unhappy with the work considering how much we pay for it.

Horrible job on my nails. First time ever there and it was a horrible experience. Would not recommend nails have only been done for one week and one is already broke.

Its OKAY .. violet was the best jackie is decent and dont recommend the guy, I didnt catch his name. Im never 💯 happy with my nails tho. The attention to detail is minimal snd they lift quick which doesnt happen when I go to my regular nail spot.

This was the singular WORSE experience I have ever had getting my nails done in my entire life. I was passed to 5 different people, had to file my own nails since they did such a terrible job, they did the gel wrong, insulted my eyebrows, and this was for my WEDDING. I could not say more loudly: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.UPDATE: After one week, one of my gel tonails just FELL OFF. Awful, awful, awful. NEGATIVE STARS!!!

Very rude. I tipped $10 and the lady threw my card back on the counter as if it wasnt enough.& Instead of asking what my daughter wanted the people just talked to each other the entire time.

Horrible experience! I got a pedicure and I was waiting about 39 minutes for someone to attend me and I was kinda embarrassed because I was just there sitting while everyone is assign to someone . It took a long time for someone to come to me! I also had a medicure and oh my goodness!!! It was awful!! The guy not nice or friendly and very rude! And the results was not worth the humiliation and the wait! My nails are very thick and very wide and uneven (as you can see in the picture) the only thing the men got right was the shape, the shape is the perfect length and the color is pretty but they are just so wide especially the middle nail and the thumbnail! I just wish they were a little skinnier and not so thick! If you ever do go to this spa (which i do not recommend) ask for a women! The mens aren’t good!!!

Pedicure is $38 or $48 for no chip. They have 2 kids chairs and kids pedi is $20. We made appointments but services were quick. Massage chairs and multiple lotions applied

Upon arrival there was a a confusion on my first name- not a problem at all:) the lash tech started speaking in her native language with two other techs laughing which made me feel very uncomfortable for correcting my first name in a none conformational tone. I asked for a different nail person with my first impression being laughed at… the tech said she was also the lash tech and I said I would still be ok with her doing my lashes. Obviously a misunderstanding which I’ll go with😐 after a pedi and not so great gel mani I went into the lash room and was told by the English speaking receptionist that the tech felt offended by my name correction (literally said my name is not Emmie.) I went to the tech and apologized saying I would never ever make fun of a second language - I wasn’t even the one laughing I was the one being lol at….the tech tried playing the situation off as a double booking…. Augh no lashes. I’ll just have to wait until the end of June with real professionals… shouldn’t have tried to go this route.

Wonderful pedicure. They even have two smaller stations that are kid themed each with a movie player. Will definitely be going back. Very reasonable pricing as well.

I got charged $45 dollars for gel nails and nail polished chipped the same exact day! The not to mention my nails were not painted right and nails were very uneven. Worse salon! Horrible value, quality and professionalism.

Had an appointment at 3. Was still sitting in my pedicure chair an hour later. The guy cut my toe and then yelled at me when i was trying to tell him what I was paying for in our group. Will probably never go back.

The lady barely covered my manicure with a top coat. She was in a hurry to get me over to the dryer so she slapped a little top coat on me at the dryer not bothering to cover the entire nail. The dryer doesnt get it to set up well like the lamps other salons use. I had chips the next day. Im not ever coming back.

It took 2 hours to get a pedicure- I was seated at a foot tub in the first ten minutes but then I was left for 20-30 minute increments at a time and they charged me way over price and the gel polish chipped off within a few days.

I went to get a no chip gel nail done earlier this week without an appointment. I was very happy as even though they were busy, they had me seated and ready to go with a technician right away! I believe the technician was the owner (older man) and I had an overall good experience at the place, however the reason I give three stars is because my nails have started to chip and peel already. Usually no chip nails, in my experience, do not start to peel till at least a week and a half after.My technician was visibly tired (and said so himself when asked by another customer) and did the service haphazardly. This is why I believe they started to peel. He didn’t leave my hands under the UV light long enough and at one point forgot to buff one of my hands entirely. I do plan to come back however I was a little unhappy with the way my service was done initially. I could tell a lot of customers really liked their service so I hope to have a better experience next time!

All the ladies and guys there are great but Van always makes sure I have great service and its always glad to see me come in. Everyone always remarks on my nails when she does them. She always listens to what Im looking for and hits it every time!

I went in for a fill in and they charged me $55. No design, solid color, and no extra things were added. I’ve had fill-ins elsewhere, but this has been the most expensive I’ve ever had in my life. I will never go back again.

I came in with a picture of what I wanted which was a pretty simple paint job no design and walked out with something completely different. My nails weren’t even shaped correctly, uneven, and just wide making the nails look fat. She didn’t use one of the colors I asked for just a color similar. I had to go to a different salon to get them fixed bc it was beyond horrible.

Had an appointment but others without appointments went ahead of me. The nail tech was not friendly. She sat me under the dryer and left. Went to pay and no one knew what I owed even though I told them I had a pedicure. I was so disappointed.

Whether Im wanting a pedicure or a manicure this is my go to place. Good prices, clean, very seldom have I ever had to wait. Today I was getting my nails done for a trip to Disney. They did not fail me.

Terrible! First we get there and the lady next to us finds a toenail floating in her water absolutely disgusting! The pedicure the water was cold we figured out they did not change the water from the previous client. Also they messed up the manicure didn’t even ask me for a color and already started putting it on . My mothers she didn’t even do what she wanted and was very rude to her! Never again would I go there!

I was so relieved to finally find a nail salon here in Lafayette, I love. I can trust to always get friendly, quality service. I never feel rushed & get in quickly, even though they are always busy. Their prices are great, its clean & I love their spa massage chairs.

When I got my pedicure, the lady went too hard and just about all of my toes have cuts on them. She also layered the nail polish unevenly and missed spots. For my manicure, I showed them a photo which they did not follow. I asked for flowers and they instead gave me huge dotty sparkles. The top coat is noticeably uneven and they didn’t even ask me if I wanted powder or not, so I got charged more without knowing. Perhaps it was just not my day, but I am not risking going there again and basically waste money on stuff I didn’t want.

Vs nails is the best nail salon I have been too. They care about their work and treat costumers amazingly. I never feel rushed or pushed in anyway. They are all fantastic artist with nails. They are also reasonable with pricing. My nieces who are younger loved the butterfly chairs and portable DVD player they had for them.

The lady that first did my nails was obviously in a terrible mood and wouldnt answer a single thing I said. She kept on griding my skin, not my nails and she got mad at me. She was so rough and just grabbed my hands and kept squeezing. She said, you scare me,though I was the one getting my skin tore up. Saying sorry and keeping on doing the same thing isnt cool with me. A week later and my cuticles look terrible and they cant shape nails. The second lady that did them was better but I would never go back. I was so upset I was shaking by the time I left. Getting your nails done is supposed to be relaxing...not here. The only good thing about that place was the lady at the front desk was awesome. Stay far, far away!

My first time going there and I’m very disappointed. I told the gentleman that I wanted a short coffin nail and he said is he his fine and I said shorter and he went down then back up and didn’t cut barley and off. He made my nails really long and sideways l. He was very ruff with my hands and and didn’t tell me his name or didn’t have and cards out either. I could barley understand him and for when I did I asked if he liked doing nails and he said no! Like why would you work there if you didn’t like doing it?

VS Nails is amazing. When i got there I had to wait a while because everyone had an appointment but it was worth the wait. I showed my nail specialist the design I wanted on my phone and she did the exact same thing. I definitely recommend. Just make sure to book an appointment!

I tried the salon because it had such nice reviews. Now that it has been over a week and I took my polish off, my nails look so bad. They used the file machine to take my cuticles off and I told the technician that it would injure my mail bed.. he said that it would not.Well it did. I will never go back and I would suggest going elsewhere.

Kelly did an amazing job. I got coffin shaped acrylics with my boyfriends initials on one finger. The guy my friend had, on the other hand, was awful. He didn’t talk to her at all and made her nails way too long and crooked even after attempts of asking to shorten them. When he did talk he said he hated doing nails. I would highly recommend Kelly. The other guy should just stop doing nails all together.

This was the absolute worse experience I have had. Went in for a mani-pedi and ended up only getting a pedicure because they took so long. They rushed through our pedicures and didn’t even give us the full pedicure that we paid for. Will not be going back what so ever.

I walked in after some bad news to treat myself. This was my first pedicure, It was wonderful. She sat me in a comfortable chair and asked if she could turn on the massage chair for me, l said okay, it was do great. I may have to make this a habit 💖

I have been to VS multiple times and the last 2-3 times have been TERRIBLE. The man today argued with me about the shape I wanted for my nails and said he couldnt do it, yet I have gotten this shape (coffin) every time I get my nails done. he was extremely rude and just said Ill see what I can do. he shaped and filed my nails and they are all completely uneven. none of my nails look the same and all of the sides are uneven and different lengths. this has happened before and have had multiple times where they messed up my nails. I went with my friend and hers are completely uneven as well. he also paused filing my nails to file his own nail with the same file and then continued filing mine with the same one. Absolutely disgusting. I am so frustrated and will not go back there again.

They got to me right away. Lots of dip powder colors to choose your favorite color. Anne was very friendly and did a great job. This will be my go to place for my nails and pedicure.

Yellow they used was old, they tried there best to fix it but after paying for a $60 mani pedi I expected more. Very disappointed.

Went to get a gel full set with my sister. After about 30 minutes my sister was called up and I remained sitting for at least another 30 minutes as I watched 3 other women come in and get called up right away. Paid for sisters and left. Not worth it when I can get the same job done somewhere else.

Great personalized service. They go out of their way to make customers happy . Best if you call for an appointment or chances are you may have to wait but that should yell you it is worth the wait.

I love the place. It is a friendly atmosphere. The only thing i am disappointed with is that Cindy is no longer there. I could always challenge her when I wanted a nail design. I would show her a picture and she could do it or come super close. She was awesome. They are also the best place to get a pedicure.

I went in for a manicure, did not wait very long to be seen, A+ for that. The only thing I did not like is that my cuticles were not cut as usual and I did not get the hand massage.I paid $25 + tip for this. Other than that I enjoyed it.

I have been to several different nail techs here and they always do an awesome job! Best place I have been to in Lafayette for pedicures and nails.

The women who did my nails was really rude. She ignored me when I asked her questions and was really bossy. She wouldnt even tell me her name. I wanted a plain polish manicure, but she did a gel manicure which I admit could have just been a misunderstanding. But, she didnt let my nails cure long enough on my left hand. So now I have gummy nails on one hand.... I would not recommend...

Tom did a wonderful job. He told me he normally does customer service..greeting, bookings, phones and the like. Somehow I got skipped and the minute he realized it he took me and did it himself. Thanks Tom!

Nice place. Easy to get in as walk-in. Gel pedicure seemed high at$48 but she did a nice job and great for massage.

Ive been to Lafayette VS Nails several times to get my eyebrows done, but today I had my toes done as well. They did a very good job and they took a lot of care to ensure that both looked good. For less than $50 (I also left a $10 tip) to get both a pedicure and my eyebrows done, Im very pleased.

My wife got acrilic nails. They were very sparkly and colorful. Her nails usually fall off easily which sucks because they are quite expensive. This set, however, stayed secure throughout the battle of kashyyk. Wookies using their claws in combat is usually one of the quickest ways to shroud your clan in shame for generations but when order 66 came thru, master Yoda had to be protected at all costs.

We called ahead of time to see if we could get an appointment. The girl told us no, refused to take our names, and told us as long as we came at 6:45, they would get us in to do manis and pedis before they closed at 8. We got there and she immediately said there were people on front of us and she didnt think there would be time for both services. They did get us seated and we received both services. We got gel polish on toes and hands. The lady doing my toes must have been rushed or just didnt do a good job. The next morning one of the gels on my toe popped off (I hadnt even taken a shower yet), lost another the next day, another 2 days later. After four toes popping off, I peeled the rest off. My hands are nice, havent lost any polish off of them yet, but feel like I wasted $87. I have never had gel polish pop off like that and definitely not from my toes. I am unimpressed.
